Really disappointed. Traveling from California and need some warm clothes to wear. Picked out a couple of things and waited patiently at dressing room for someone to show up. No one ever did and there wasn't even a mirror so I could try on a sweatshirt. Employees saw me standing there and just walked past me. Customer service was horrible! read more

Not a great place to find food, the frozen food selection was small, and it has a horrible fresh food selection. Pretty sure half the watermelons were bad. There was no meat that wasn't frozen. I was RUDELY told to go "look over there somewhere" after I had been looking for a while in the camera isle. The employee working at the technology section offered no help and dismissed me quickly even though legit nobody was even there so. anyways she did not offer to check the back or anything, and I just wanted to let you guys know that the service here is terrible but I doubt they GAF. also why do you guys lock up certain skincare items but don't lock up other ones. The place is generally clean and fully stocked, they are however severely understaffed and that sucks when you're in need of assistance when you're either checking out or need something from a locked area. They also don't accept any form of digital pay like Apple Pay so that kinda sucks too.. read more

I typically love Walmart, but this store is not good. There's no produce department, and the rest of the grocery aisles don't "flow" (e.g., there's cheeses & deli meats in what you would think is an ice cream freezer). The clothing departments are scattered about, and I couldn't tell when I was leaving one category and entering another. The cashiers are HORRIBLY SLOW. Seriously, you would think they were having a contest to see who could ring the slowest. Absolutely no sense of urgency, and only 3 lanes were open. I had to go BEHIND the register to grab one of my bags because the cashier didn't hand it to me (or even acknowledge that it was mine). The frosting on the cake was when I realized one of my products was damaged as I was leaving the store. I asked for help, and she pointed to another employee who was the "manager". I approached the "manager" and said hi, and she said "what" very coldly. I explained the situation, she denied being the manager, and then started verbally fighting with the first employee. I left to get a replacement product and when I came back, they were still arguing! The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because this store has significantly more stock than the others in the area. read more

Went there to pick up my order that I made 3 days ago 4 for the holiday season and end up being aggravated with customer service. Ordered item for curbside pick up and wait it 20 minutes then had to go in the store to look for an associate for service. Once I found associshe did they were all sitting around doing nothing and just fooling around. And there was a manager there which kind of shocked me that she was also not doing anything. This is strictly a critique about a worker there, although this Walmart is still one of the worst I've ever been to. I went in today looking for a tv tray. Minding my own business, I was sorting through the ones I liked. Some of them, the top of the trays were scratched up, and banged up a lot. So I'm searching for one that wasnt damaged, and the guy who was unpacking some stuff in that aisle notices me and says "they're all the same" but with an obvious attitude that implied a lot of things. I didnt get his name, but he was Spanish. He embodies that Lynn mentality that is pervasive in the location. It was around 10am give or take 5 to 10 minutes in the area where the sofas are. Then he walks up to me and I said no they're not, the few up front are damaged. He looks annoyed and walks away. Really man? How about you mind your own business? What purpose does it serve for you to say that to me? Ridiculous. As stated in my older reviews, the place isnt the worst, inventory wise but the clientele and the workers make it terrible. Things like that are the reason why I hate this location. I only come here occasionally bc its closest to where I live. Things like this keep reminding me why i even bother. The one on Route 1 in Saugus is just so much better even though its further away. read more

I stopped to buy a shirt; stood at the fitting room for a long time, no staff there, so asked FIVE different Walmart employees if they could help by paging someone. 2 of the 5 literally did not understand me (English--and no offense, if you can speak more than one language, that's grand, but these 2 folks did not). Was directed by the other 3 to stand in line at customer service and wait 6 people deep to ask the one person there if she could page someone to meet me at the fitting rooms. Very upset customers in line complaining about being double charged for singular items, people were demanding to speak to the manager for more basic issues....will never return. read more

This establishment is complete disrespectful and disregarding the Walmart brand. I Need essentials. To feed a new-born . The fact that I came in 10 minutes before closing . I needed formula and nobody was helping me . Completely nobody . I went up to costumer care and asked I need someone to open the locked shelf . She yelled at me saying I can't help that isn't my decision it is I asked her can you refer me to some that can help then . She disregarded that sentence . It took about 10 minutes after , it was 11 pm , closing time . For someone to come and unlock after we asked her and she had to yell at her co-workers for help because no one was helping their own fellow co-workers . I needed to return a tv and the young girl, was very sweet , I could tell she was new since I work in retail and she did all the necessary things to assist me and was very sweet! She called a manager who was named Jenny, she was exceptional! She had a great teaching moment w the new employee(which I appreciate) she handled my return with a smile and went above and beyond to help me... there was a third person who basically laughed and spoke in a language I couldn't understand .... but I can't rave about Jenny enough! Ugh. I hate that this one is the closest to me. Its not horrible, but its wal mart, and it felt like a whole different country. I hate wal mart in general and I will never shop at one unless I absolutely need to, and like I said this one is very close to me plus the ride to it along revere beach is really nice so I guess it will have to do. There was something about this one that rubbed me the wrong way. The majority of the customers don't speak english and the people that do you can't understand. The employees here are on the lower side of the IQ chart, most of whom would pass for mentally retarded. All the lines are close together and the spots are narrow. Giving the location of this Walmart I'm sure you can only imagine the experience. Went in there to exchange some gifts my children received. The lady at the desk was nice but explained she needed to get a supervisor because I did not have a receipt. I waited 20 minutes for the women to come to the customer service desk, the women at the desk called for help TWICE. The line was out of control nobody social distancing. Evelyn finally made her way to the counter with her stank attitude. Comes over and says " what is all this." The women went on to explain, she instantly said "NOPE I'm not approving it!" I asked what the issue was, I had received these gifts for Christmas, she kept insisting it would red flag me and she wasn't approving it. Then went on to way, should of come ten mins sooner the manager was here she could of approved it! Literally in awe because I could not understand the issue and why this women was acting so nasty with me. I asked again what the issue was, the customer service lady told me that there's a $50 limit to return without receipt unless approved by a supervisor. However Evelyn kept saying she was not doing it. I then said ok, well what if we just return the $50 and I'll come back tomorrow and speak with Lisa Maria! Evelyn continued to get nasty and say nope she's not doing it! It's Walmart's policy and she refused to do it! What I couldn't understand is if I had only $40 worth of stuff would she still behave this way, but then again I wouldn't be having this issue. So the kind customer service women said I will return a few things that are under $50. So she starts ringing , it comes to $51. She says ok she can approve the $1. The women comes back from chatting to the side with one of her workers giving me eye rolls from a distance and says ABSOLUTELY NOT, I am not doing it! So the girls like I'm sorry I can only do two things and it's $38. So I tell her that's fine and I appreciate her help. Evelyn stood off to the back not giving a shit continuing to roll her eyes as I walked away! I will be calling tomorrow just for the simple fact of this is not how you treat people. I understand there are policy's however this is no way to treat people. I worked in customer service my whole life and have had to explain policies. This is not the way you act or treat people. They should be ashamed to have someone like that representing the company! This women can was not only nasty but couldn't care enough to present herself in a professional way. Not only that the parking lot was jam packed nobody wearing mask or social distancing: the kid pushing the carriages in was horsing around in the lot with another employee no mask on either or them! When I got in the lady was standing there with a tablet wasn't even looking to see how many people where in there was on the her phone. I counted while I waited for a Evelyn to be done gossiping with the people at the registers 39 people entering the store: that was entering . There were about 6-7 girls that worked there just walking around the back together: The registers were all packed lines to the isles and people were still coming in! If you've been in this lot you know it's the only store and it's a giant lot! lol It was so packed I couldn't find parking! I'm very upset with the way she treated me: it's one thing to have a policy another to say she can override it but absolutely not and keep being nasty to me about me. Shutting me down and with "absolutely not they will red flag you" everytime I spoke. And rolling her eyes! I really hope they take this serious they should stand by their company and not have someone like this repeating them! Specially during these times! This Wal-Mart is substantially sub-par even for a Wal-Mart. It's hard to describe why as most of it is the atmosphere and the surroundings. I can understanding having to go to this location if you rely on public transportation but otherwise there are much better choices for this mega-chain in the area. The lighting in the lot is awful, the service is awful, the people shopping always seem to make me nervous, and there's an odd odor even for a Wal-Mart. Maybe it's because it's on the Lynnway in a pretty run down section? Or maybe it's as my instincts tend to point and it is just poorly managed. If you need to go to Wal-Mart and can get there go to Danvers. read more

There should be a no star option because they certainly don't deserve a star! I absolutely hate this store! Customer service from hell is what I went through! I don't shop at walmart unless I absolutely need to. They are certainly lacking: 1) customer service 2) respect 3) professionalism 4) common courtesy 5) friendliness 6) cleanliness 7) most importantly knowledge. I would expect more from managers at any companies but this isn't the case. I wish this location would be more disability friendly. I was recently at this location with my friend who can't really walk without discomfort do to an injury. I asked an employee if he could use the electric carts they have to make it a little easier for him. They had two of them that I saw. I was told the one that was plugged in was broken and that one that wasn't plugged in wasn't charged. Not a lot of common sense there. Please do better read more

This Walmart is absolutely awful. It seems like everything is shoved in the building and there isn't space for actual people. The McDonalds in there doesn't make sense nor does it look enticing to eat (at least like any other average McDonald's). It seems like this Walmart is just missing a lot of things or they're being shoved in random places. Also bought a pack of meal prep rice for school that happened to be expired and they didn't have it in stock or I just couldn't find it. I'd rather drive farther to go to the Wal-Mart in Saugus then go here again. When walking in from the parking lot, there was a random man in the trying to sell cell phones. I went to customer service to report him and you'd think I was a ghost. I waited to get someones attention but no one would look at me, so I just kind of announced it to the desk and left. Any time I walked up to an employee to ask a question, they ignored me and continued working. But when I didn't walk away, they eventually looked up at me with attitude. I asked for help finding the Brita filters and they pointed me to the end of the same aisle where there were random water bottles. Shop here every once in a while and well ... I try to get it done as soon as possible. This place has no organization, opened merchandise and extremely rude and non helpful staff. Parking is always an adventure but check-out is even worse! Two cash registers open EVERYTIME I go in, I usually wait 20 minutes in line. It's obvious they are short staffed but do you really need two people in charge of the "self check-out area" ???? I was once behind this woman who picked out an item without a tag, check-out employee turned on her blinking light, the manager SAW the light and walked back and forth to do things that were not as important as assisting the check out employee with her 15+ people waiting in line. Overall, the woman ended up not purchasing the item just to leave because the manager never walked over. I ordered a recharger for my Black & Decker battery. I was going to pick it up in the store. I went to the store to inquire about the procedure. No one in the store knew anything about how to order. They told me I had to go back home & order it on the internet & pick it up at the store. They did not even have a computer for customers to use. They told me it broke a year ago & was out to be fixed but they never got it. That was 3 months ago. I never heard from Walmart that was going to call me when the recharger came into the store. I feel so, so weird reviewing a WalMart. But having known quite a few Walmarts in my time (at least the ones up here in New England) I can say this one's actually one of the better ones. No, really! It's kind of a weird redundant thing to say "it's big" -- because, freakin' DUH it's WALMART of course it's big! But compared to the other Walmarts in the metro Boston area (not greater Boston, but *metro* Boston, because greater Boston AFAIK doesn't have Walmarts aside from this one) it has a bigger footprint, hence a bigger store with just ... tons more STUFF*. Whodathunkit? It also has a McDonald's in it.
