Breathtaking fields of vibrant purple lavender as you enter the Kingdom gates to the wealthiest family owned superstore on our planet. Has anyone stopped to smell these? Or noticed them? They are stunning! You'd have to travel to a botanical park to see phenomenal Lavendula like these. Lish green landscaping, highlighted with delicate pink or yellow flowers, some glimpses of fine looking well kept young birch trees, all sharply executed by precision edging and extensive mulching. So I got excited and planned a trip to the garden shop for June to recreate on some minute scale what the Walmart family's private landscapers had brilliantly created. The garden department was worse than nada or bad or non existent. What little plants had life left were dying and decaying with foul odor-Omg it was so sad. I went on line and they were advertising fake plants in the garden department. It was not really a user friendly app. You can't really tell what's a fake and what's a real live plant. This Walmart steals my money. They charge me $.10/bottle for soda/juices (ok) - but cannot get your money back because bottle return machines are broken often. I complain to customer service. I really like this store. Employees are really nice, and extremely helpful. I asked where aluminum foil pans were, and one of the employees took me five rows over to show me where. Outstanding customer service. I pretty much find what I need, sometimes some departments are a little depleted, but that seems to be the case these days. While Walmart is not my favorite store, I have bought things recently because it is close. The curbside pick up protocol is appalling. The last three times I went to the store. Every single pick up space was taken and no one was in the car. The spaces are only for pick up and not only to customers park there but delivery people park there. Also, there are carts everywhere blocking parking spaces. I tried to call the manager to make him/her aware of these issues and, surprisingly we're not surprisingly, no one answered their phone. It rang 15 times and then it just went to a recording saying to call back later. In the south Walmart is the king of consumer stores but here in the north it seems either the corporation and or the managers just don't care. I will say that the Walmart associates who bring the packages out to the car are fast, professional, and very kind. But what that manager and assistant manager, etc., are allowing to go on is ludicrous. Back to Target I go! read more

Store is run down and messy. Service is almost non existent. This is the only Walmart in Norwalk since the Connecticut Ave. store closed.

Not impressive. The paradox is that there isn't much of what one is looking for even though there's tons of stuff in the huge space. I have not really seen anything from the food pyramid except the occasional giant bags of potato chips and the likes. As far as the other Walmart I've seen (for example a giant one in Florida I've recently been to) , they had at least dozens of isles dedicated to food. Various food. Both fresh and frozen and far in between. There's a Subway inside this Walmart that perhaps tries to make up for lack of grocery items or is perhaps a distraction from that. read more

When you hear Walmart you think they have everything..and everything is somewhat organized ...this place is shady. A lot of the toothpaste boxes were opened like what the hell and the swimsuits on clearance looked like people wore them and brought them back. The selection here is small compared to other Walmart's I've been to. They charge 10 cents a bag I don't know if it's a CT thing or standard but good to bring your own bag. I would not come back here. Things are misplaced so what you might think is $4 at the register is $10 be mindful. read more

Customer service employee African American with face mask was very rude and unprofessional. She kept calling me "girl friend" as she was helping me she was speaking very abrupt to another colleague in front of the customers which I find to be very disrespectful. She walk away and asked another employee to assist with my return in the middle of the transaction just to go chat with another colleague gentleman Caucasian with glasses, while the line was near Subway. They stood their like no cares in the world just laughing as the customers stood in the long line. Shame on the store manager for allowing this terrible behavior. read more

The customer service here is THE WORST they stare at you and will tell you they can't help because they're just the afternoon shift and that happened in the morning or "that's his job not mine" excuses 24/7 and no help at all. This is the worst Walmart for customer service. I ordered a bike and got notification that it was ready for pick up at this store. I called 28 times over the course of 5 hours and the phone rang for hours and no one would pick up. I wanted to be sure the bike was assembled. I will NEVER go to this Walmart again. I must say I was extremely disappointed in attitude towards me at this location. I quietly approached the customer service desk with an item in which I admit I didn't have the receipt nor do I remember the exact date of purchase. I explained this to the customer service rep and informed her the vacuum didn't work properly and I just wanted to do an even exchange. The young lady called a gentleman who I assume was the shift manager over. He rudely stated he needed to know the story. ??? As explained previously, the vacuum wasn't working properly and didnt have enough suction to pick up anything. He rudely said " NO I need the whole story. When did you buy it? How long ago? How did you pay for it". I was blown away. After not being able to provide him with exact information he walked away after my fiancé asked to speak to the store manager. Not a single word...Give me one moment. Ill grab him/her. NOTHING! End result item was unable to be exchanged and I walked away with a horrible experience.
