I don't blame the workers, because it's clearly store policy. Every single time I go here they ask me if I want to sign up for their "rewards card" or "rewards program". I just say no now and they leave it at that. The first time I asked if it was a rewards card or a credit card. Her response was about how much I would save on this purchase and subsequent purchase, so I bluntly asked if this rewards program requires a credit check. She confirmed that it does. I feel like a lot of people are duped into opening up a credit card here and they're too embarrassed to backtrack. I even know someone who fell for it. Don't be shy to turn them down. There are better credit cards out there. I mean if you want it go ahead, but don't let them push you into it!

The customer service agents we saw didn't seem to understand fragrance, and only how to deal with the typical mall shopper's preferences & trying to upsell us on more expensive perfume. The last woman we saw at the Jones No 9 counter (presumably the manager) was very rude and abrasive. She demanded "what budget are you working with, seriously", almost sounding as if she was yelling at us and just wanted to close a deal. I told her I simply wanted to find something my wife would like, and she said "you have to have a budget". Then she presented us with a woody fragrance that my wife did not like. She then tells us that "there's nothing sweet in the there, only woods", meanwhile there was amber in there and we have studied a lot on different types of fragrances. The customer service agents were incompetent, since they don't actually know what notes we are looking for and overwhelming us with different scents and getting upset that we didn't like them. I know they make a commission, so it felt like they were trying to take their anger out on us for not wanting anything and insinuating that we weren't there to make a purchase. Due to the poor service, I would not want to buy anything from these people in the future and would go to another location.
