When I was a child, I loved Nintendo! I would play Mario, Contra, and the vast library of games it had to offer. But, now, that's a distant memory, or so I thought; "BattleGrounds" proved otherwise. First off, let me start by say, it was my brother who wanted to come here. Normally, your phone needed a new battery, you scheduled an appointment with Apple and you go.Not anymore, and not for Apples ridiculous prices! Now you can goto Battlegrounds! I knew of this place and been inside once, before the improvements. From the outside, the building looks impressive, with its large banner centered with authority. Inside is equally as impressive. The inside is a throwback to my childhood! Duck hunt guns, Nintendo games and even play station 3's are everywhere. I was also impressed with the tournament arena they had in the back. But after a swooned for a bit, my brother went to the counter for help. The specialist took us right away. He explained that you put down money for the battery and when it gets delivered, you pay them to install it. The process takes about an hour. That's pretty cool and they do it cheaper than Apple. I asked if they door all, game systems, computers and laptops. You name it, they do it, he said. I thought, that's pretty cool. I also asked about the gaming tournaments and he said they don't do them anymore because of COVID. It completely killed the following. That was really sad to hear. So after everything was done my brother and I thanked him and thanked tried to thank his partner. His partner, just looked up, grunted, and went on with his business completely ignoring us. I felt that was rude, but I wasn't going to do anything about it. I mean, I hope he doesn't treat all his customers like that. I definitely like the place, now I know where to go if I want to feel like a child and enjoy myself around all school games. read more

The only issue I had with this place is the fact that they have a mask sign on the front door stating everyone that enters must have a mask yet no employee had a mask on, now I'm not going to discuss the mask issue but if you want people to come in with a mask than the employees should be wearing a mask Update as of 1/18/22 they have removed the mask sign lol it wasn't about mask it was just hilarious that they were requiring people to wear a mask but not the employees read more

The first time I went to battlegrounds I had just picked my laptop from another computer repair shop. I was seeking a second opinion about the overall cost of my laptop replacement after the place that had it, took over a month to "take a look at it". The computer division at Battlegrounds had my laptop diagnosed the next day, completed all the repairs within a week, and all for nearly half the cost the other guy was quoting me. Since then I have brought every computer, smartphone, and gaming system I ever needed tweaked to Battlegrounds. They have NEVER let me down. Fast service. Transparent/Low pricing. I brought in a Dell XPS laptop keyboard to be fixed in June 2020 after a few keys stopped working. During the diagnosis process, the technician managed to damage the entire keyboard, so none of the keys were able to work. Even worse, the screen components were damaged and would no longer turn on. In spite of these damages, I was still charged 68$ for the work and labor. To make matters worse, I had to pay out of pocket for my own replacement keyboard ($20) and replacement screen ($150). Took my son's Nintendo Switch here for repair, slightly cheaper than Nintendo, but they had a beyond quicker turn around time. Would have had to ship his console to Nintendo and front the cost of shipping besides repair. Battlegrounds ended up having a spare part that was needed and had the console back within hours. Excellent service, even if we had to wait for the part it still would've taken them weeks less than Nintendo to repair. Would highly recommend! read more

Bammm! out of nowhere my computer hits the floor in the middle of the night, turns out my my portable desk wasn't so secure. This did break my screen though. Being in a wheelchair I had my brother take it over to Battlegrounds and get an estimate, it was very reasonable and they said they could have it back in 2 days which was great as I have a home business. I only had to use my backup minimally, and right on time got the call that the computer was fixed. It worked great and I was happy. I was even more happy when I got a call a few weeks later checking up from them and making sure I was happy with everything. First time bringing my computer-of any kind to a shop. It took a few tries and a little more than I was originally told it would cost but the team, including the owner worked hard to fix the issues. The owner even added some new parts at no charge and worked till he got everything not only up to par but better than before I had problems. On 9/22/18 my laptop computer failed. The battery failed to charge and the screen went black. I could not turn the machine on, let alone surf the net. All told, I made 4 trips to Battlegrounds, bringing the laptop and associated cables and hardware, for diagnostics. On 9/22 they told me "Your power strip isn't working" and sold me a new one. Since the new model lacked some of the connections I needed, I had to go to a hardware store and spend $$32.55 for a new one. On 9/28 the problem recurred in exactly the same way. This time they told me "Your charger is faulty", took and discarded my charger, and sold me a new charger for $43.44. The problem recurred in exactly the same way on 12/12/18. After I stopped tearing my hair out, I decided to experiment with the configuration of my setup. I removed the new charger from the new power strip and plugged it directly into the wall outlet. It worked like a charm. The battery resumed charging. Then, just to see what would happen, I reinstalled the old charger. Same result. Worked like a charm. I then reinstalled the new charger and, remembering that I had a little $1.99 two-prong to three-prong adapter, plugged the new charger into the adapter into the new power strip. Worked like a charm. This told me there was nothing wrong with either the power strip or the previous (now lost) charger. I calculated that Battlegrounds cost me nearly $120 (the extra power strip plus the value of two chargers). I decided to return to the store to discuss this. After I slowly and carefully described the above, the store's owner said a) "Power strips frequently go bad"; b) "Chargers frequently go bad" and c) "So, the problem was that the $1.99 plug adapter didn't work?" I must admit that this frustrated me. The owner then said "You're angry". He then asked me "What do you want? People who complain usually want something!" I just left. Do NOT fix or do anything in this place!!!!, I went almost 4 times to fix my computer, they made me buy a new mother board and pay it in advanced, I checked the computer in the store and it was working but as soon as the battery ended the computer won't turn on again. Since I'm traveling tomorrow I went to this store once again to claim my money back and return the mother board and they won't give me al 100% of my money back.. claiming that they diagnosis of the computer was "partially" right.
