The wait times (both in store and in drive thru) are incredibly long, you can expect to wait about 30-45 minutes no matter the time of day. There is about a 50% chance your medication will not be in stock, and will be at least a week or more for them to get it back in stock. This location always closes early (usually 10-20 minutes earlier than posted closing time). These are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to unsatisfactory service at this CVS location. Do yourself a favor and choose laterally any other pharmacy to do your business at.

I came in here the other day to get my 2nd shingles vaccine as I got my 1st one @ a CVS back in Las Vegas & knew that they would have a record of this because I wasn't sure of the exact date of when I did get my 1st shingles shot. The lady @ the pharmacy counter was very nice & was able to pull me up by my name & DOB. I had to update my insurance info as my plan changed the first of the new year. It was very busy when I stopped in here on a Thursday afternoon around 4pm. I didn't schedule an appointment for my vaccine as I was having trouble connecting to the CVS app. I tell ya the Verizon cell phone service in this area isn't the best. I was able to get my vaccine as a walk in even though it was busy. Jaime the pharmacist was the one who gave me my shingles shot. He was very friendly & nice to chat with. He gave me my shot without any issues (yes, the shingles vaccine does hurt! As I tell patient's "its not the needle that hurts its the medicine) & I had told him how I use to work here in my 20's. The pharmacy has grown as I counted probable about 5-6 people behind the counter. The store has even grown too. I have found that it has gotten more crowded with aisles/products, as if they put more in this store. There isn't much room to move down an aisle if there is someone else in it too. I did get my coupons from their coupon machine & did some shopping based on what coupons I had. I do find CVS to be more expensive than Walmart but with the coupons it helped by lowering the prices of some of the items that I wanted to buy. I did go to the self checkout (which I hate) & did have some problems with scanning my items but one of the employees came over right away & helped me fix the issues. I do find that it can be a pain in getting out of if you park on the smaller parking lot side so I went home the back way then trying to fit to get back out on islington street.

Over the years, I've used many different pharmacies and never had a particularly good or bad experience. Very hum-drum. But then I used Elm St once and after that I was all set. They are my go-to pharmacy every time now. They really do redefine professionalism, courtesy, accuracy, and speed. They will have a line of 5 cars pull up but in 8 minutes they'd have them all cleared out. I call in for a refill and I get a text that it's ready literally 5-10 minutes later. They put other pharmacies to shame and I do mean that. I think they have a good team who have similar work ethics and who take pride in doing an excellent job so when you get that kind of synergy, it shows. I don't recall their names but the young female tech with dark hair, glasses, and a slight accent as well as the youngish male PharmD are fabulous. When you see them there, know that they're working hard to get your your Rx and they certainly raise the bar for all pharmacies to aspire to. Good job!

So CVS can't spend an extra $50-$100. for shipping to get these into their store to protect their employees and customers. Shameful. I won't be shopping at CVS until this virus is gone. My wife has a hard time saying no to things like this and kind heartedly gave her 60 dollars (after asking her the day before how much she made per hour, which I found weird) and was told she would be paid back in the next week. 3 weeks later I saw her and politely asked when she was planning on paying us back (we need the money, just like the rest of the country right now) and I was told that she is broke all the time so basically get over it, we aren't getting paid back. 2 days after this my wife went to the pharmacy to fill a prescription and was chased through the store and yelled at telling her "tell your husband to stop harassing me about the money". I'm not delusional, I'm aware we were ripped-off, I just think it's incredibly unprofessional to ask your customers to "borrow " money. The only reason why I gave 2 stars is because everyone else is great. I realize that the company is going out of business but this still needs to be addressed. I spend hundreds of dollars there every week and I don't think I will ever come back after this experience.
