Pharmacy Per Per…read morePharmacy, meds would be delivered on Monday. They were not. They had received script from my doc several days prior but failed to order on time. When I'm out, life is miserable. When I called to inquire, (they didn't call me to let me know, ) clerk was extremely rude, & grilled me with questions about the medication and my dosage. First, if there are issues with the script, call the doctor, I have no control over that. Second, that issue had nothing to do with the fact that they forgot to order it. When I went to the pharmacy to pick up a partial, I felt physically terrible. I became tearful out of anger and frustration. The clerk I had just spoken to on the phone looked at me, laughed and rolled her eyes. I need to say that again. I was crying, she laughed and rolled her eyes. I completed my purchase and left. I was so rattled I waited three days to approach pharmacy manager to discuss calmly. This is what happened: First, she raved about the kind and loving employee. Second, she mumbled a three second apology. Third, she said there were notations in my file where in the past I had been "belligerent."This also has nothing to do with their failure to order on time. FYI the "belligerent"episode, which had occurred about a year prior, happened because the pharmacy failed again to order on time, so I would be in active withdrawal from OxyContin cold turkey for 24 to 48 hours post-surgery. I asked her if under those circumstances she might be upset. Blank stare. Finally, she says if I'm unhappy, I can go someplace else. In a way, her behavior was even more unsettling than her clerk's. She had heard about the situation before I came in so she was aware and had time to reflect. She lectured me like I was a child called into the principal's office, making it clear she did not give one flying flip about the customer. She has plenty of those and doesn't need me, this is true. But I was still hoping she would do the right thing. I was looking for "I'm sorry you had a bad experience. That was unacceptable." How did we get to this place as a culture when these people who deal everyday with folks who are seriously ill, some terminally, think it's OK to be absolutely horrible? When sometimes life is such a struggle that you become emotional, it's OK for someone to laugh at you? If you use that pharmacy you should know that if you are having a bad day, some body that could be your grandchild, without input or supervision, can mark your file with their own opinion, and that notation stays there. Then later if you ever have a problem, they'll use that and throw it in your face to avoid accountability. Sad.

Once the prescription was filled I got a message from a service that delivers for this pharmacy. I didn't recognize the text sender so I ignored the message as SPAM. Then I got a call from the pharmacy that they had a prescription for me. I opted to pick it up during the following week. Fortunately the pharmacy told me they were located behind Thorntons or I never would have found them. The pharmacy is small and located in a small strip mall off the main road. When I picked up the medicine it was an ointment and not a special compound. When I got home I looked it up on my prescription coverage plan and found it was covered by my insurance. In the future I can pick up the exact same prescription at my local pharmacy for less or I can have a 90 day supply filled through Express Scripts far cheaper. It was nice to know this pharmacy exists but it is not convenient for me to get to. I would rather go to my local pharmacy that is one mile away than to make the trip to this pharmacy that is twenty miles away. The service was fine it just is inconvenient for me.

Being inside of a Target, it is also more exciting to come here if you need to drop off and wait for a prescription to be filled. Today my 15 year old received his first Covid vaccine. Quick check-in and within a few minutes he'd had his shot. The pharmacist was friendly and helpful, willing to answer questions. She provided the same service to another young person in line after my son. If you frequent this Target, I highly recommend making this your primary pharmacy.

Adding up to 3 types of shots is available. The automated system sends me a text and email confirmation. I also get a reminder beforehand to remind me what time and where to check in. Today I was immediately acknowledged and pointed to the chair for shots. Within 10 minutes I had been vaccinated, put on a brave sticker to celebrate, and received a store coupon. Pick up of meds has also been great. I rarely go through the drive thru. My preference is to park and go inside. I see how many folks are hustling to fill the orders, answer phones, and take care of store customers. When my prescription has been filled I also get text reminders. I so appreciate this because it's easy to forget meds. Private parking lot and fairly easy in and out.

It is spotless, very large, and the easiest to move around in because of the extra spacing between the rows. Very well thought out. It holds more merchandise than other Walmart stores too. If you join their club you will get various rewards during the year especially on your birthday. Mine was this month a they gave me a half gallon of my choice of their premium ice cream.
