I have nothing against animals / pets etc ... but enough is enough leave your pets at home , we as humans do not need pet germs, hair and dandruff all over the place , keep them at Home ! They have a bar and a few little restos nothing fancy but if you're bored and want something to eat you're in luck. There's a little area to sit in eat not big but either is the mall. The sandwich shop is pretty good from what I remembered. A little revamp for the floors and the place would look brand new.

There is a candy store next to it that sells a bunch of imported British candies and other goodies. There's a Viennese bakery with cakes and breads and imported European candies and a lunch counter that seems to be quite popular (oddly, one of the things it had was Jamaican patties). Wendy's dance shop has all your needs for ballerinas-in-training. Ted's Hobby Shop is a classic for crafty folk. There's also a collector's shop that I used to buy interesting coins from and has Beanie Babies for sale (remember those?). There's a Christian bookstore if you need some Bibles or inspirational goods. There's also a big modern Metro and Uniprix and a bar for the rest of your needs. Just don't expect much from the 'food court' - basically the Viennese bakery and only one other fast food place. Don't discount this mall... you just might find a hidden gem.

I was so disappointed im walmart kirkland to i been going there every 2 weeks for groceries for the…read morepast 6 years never had a problem till today as I was so embarrassed and felt profiled by the staff/manager so as I was checking out at the self service cash I noticed to of the employees watching me like a hawk ok at first didn't think anything about it as that's there job than after paying and arriving at the exit I was approached by the 2 ladies and 2 other men asking to see my bill again just doing there job since I had things under the cart but then one lady starting digging in my bags when I asked if there was an issue she completely ignored me and continued rummaging through my things so I ask again a few times politely if there was a problem finally she responded that I did not scan some items and continued digging in my things pulling out bread saying it's not on the receipt I had to show her that both breafs were on there than she pulled out my 35cent noodles mind you in just spent 350$ asking me how many I have and were is it on the bill I showed her and she dug them out of bag and counted them this went on for 18 mins of my time wasted and embarrassed and insulted once I put my bags in the car I went back in to service counter to file a complaint it was one of the women at the counter I asked how do I file a complaint she pointed out the manager that was the other woman that had just wasted my time so I asked her how can I file a complaint and she told me to see the woman at the service counter and she just told me to see you and they looked at each other and laughed so all this to say I will never be going back to this walmart again . If you are a collector you must go check this out. Ten different vintage collectors created a cooperative to share this spot and showcase their most rare and cool and lovely things. This is killer 50's and 60's Canadiana, true nerdy fun gorgeous collectible glassware and toys, and so much more. The prices are fair, it's not cheap but its not overpriced either for what you find. It's such a cool addition to this great, classic small town shopping centre. It's in the spot of Ted's Hobby Shop which would make me very sad because that is an incredible wonderland, but apparently Ted's just moved to a bigger spot in the new section of the mall so no worries, just more goodness to go around.

Very recently, I had a dead car battery and not only did they replace my battery with a special gel-based model which I told them about, but they found that the alternator was making whining noises and asked me to replace it, which I accepted. They catch problems which even my original car dealer did not catch! That odd "engine whining" noise is now totally gone from my car, after Canadian Tire found the source of the problem. Highly recommended for regular checkups, tire changes and all your car service needs!

I was out at Winners tonight with my wife for some shopping. Once I got to the cash register the…read morebad experience started. I handed out a 100 dollars bill, the old model. Anywhere else I paid with big bills the person just passed a marker on the bill, checked it in the light and that was it. Not here ... it was like they have never seen one before. 3 employees looked at it for minutes and decided to call the manager to check it. After an embarrassing 15 minutes of waiting in line for the manager to come, he finally decided to show up, took a marker and passed it on the bill and what a wonder: it's a good one. I asked him if he was the only one qualified to pass a marker on the 100$ bill to check it and he said yes, "only management" can do it. Well, I guess he is very proud of himself, the test he had to pass to be "qualified" for this operation must have been veeeeery difficult! Hold on tight on that marker Mr. Manager, you are so qualified to do it! As for me, I guess that was the last time I am going to Winners in Fairview!
