Was here earlier today with my neighbor purchasing necessities for this quarantine. An employee who was paying for her own items told me it was 1 water per household. I told her I understood and that we were from different households. She told me it didn't matter because we were using the same cart. My neighbor then went to a different cashier with his own items. She was mumbling things about us under her breath. I asked her to repeat what she said and she said out loud "different household my ass." I will never be returning to this location. I picked up a $50.00 eShop card for the Nintendo account and I have a $25.00 Walmart gift card. Go to those quick check out areas, scan eShop card, then scan gift card. Message comes up that I've exceeded gift card limit. Huh? Just take $25.00 from an item scanned. You can't scan a coupon before purchasing any item. I've never seen/encountered this problem anywhere else even when using codes/coupons/gift cards online. Cancelled "ITEMS IN CART" and "Waiting for assistance" message came up. No one arrived. Went in last night to pick up insulin and syringes for Stella, my diabetic dog and couldn't be happier with the pharmacy service. Robert was awesome. He quickly looked up refills on the needles and had me in and out very quickly. I'm usually in different areas of NJ and stop by whatever Walmart I happen to be near to get her meds. From now on, I'll stop in Riverdale due, in no small part, to Robert in the pharmacy's outstanding service. Kudos. read more

It's your typical regular Walmart store. They have a decent amount of food items, maybe not produce or anything like a super Walmart would but the basics. I come here at least 1-3 times a week to pick up various items from food to toiletries to household items. You can't beat the price! Seriously the stuff at Walmart is super cheap, probably why I prefer it to a certain bullseye chain that is more about the looks. You get what you pay for here. I like it for food/drug store items that you can usually get things about 2-3$ cheaper than most stores. The employees are dismal and not around most of the time and the cashiers are slow as molasses. Use the self check out lines! I don't think I ever wait on lines even if I have a huge cart filled with items. If you prefer to spend more money on basic items and like a cleaner nicer looking store-bullseye ..this ain't your store! If you wanna save a few bucks, Walmart is the spot. read more

Then...when it was time to pay, i was getting cash out of my purse and counting it as i was putting it down in front of her. Needed help in the photo center. The book I was trying to create wouldn't add more pages to accommodate the amount of pictures I uploaded. The women who came to help me was whispering under her breathe "push the button again a**hole" when someone else kept pressing the help button. I picked up a drug test that was right in front of the sign for 24.99. The other tests were right behind it. At the register it came up 35.27. When the manager went over there she said "that price is for a paternity test that is all out." I politely told her it was right in front of 24.99. When i told her its ok because most tests are $40 she said in a somewhat rude manner that i should be happy it's cheaper than that. I was not about to argue over $10 but I think that since it was Walmarts error that the product was placed RIGHT in front of the wrong price AND the proper price was not even posted there that they should have honored the price. Extremely dissatisfied with their policy and somewhat rude behavior. Will not be returning to that walmart. Next time i am at another walmart i am going to argue my opinion. read more

I liked this Walmart because it's easy to get to without a lot of traffic. I used to do my nails there because they are cheap, but since you get what you pay for, after the third time I was no longer happy with how my nails came out. They would do my nails so fast that it burned while filing them with the drill. They hardly paid attention to what they were doing to look around at who was coming into the store (Walmart, not the salon). The other day I purchased some uniform pants on the website to pick up at the store. When I got to the pickup area there was no one at the counter. Fine, you just tap on the credit card machine and it calls someone. I waited 7 minutes and had to touch the key pad twice before the manger came over to ask if I was being helped. He then proceeded to argue (scream) at the person that was supposed to help. All in front of all customers in the area. The manger helped me and he was very apologetic about the incident and all was well after that. As I was walking to pay for other things I was buying I noticed how customers asked for directions to an item or needed help at the customer service area. The associates were either stand-offish or they looked totally disinterested in helping. One of the customer service workers was leaning on the counter and telling the customer she could go to another Walmart to find her item. She never offered to call or find out which one had it available. Instead the customer made the decision to call the stores herself and lookup which ones were super centers. This store has gone down hill. I see why they are losing money. read more

I wouldn't normally review a Wal-mart, but man did this place leave an impression on me. This place is simply put...A TIME CAPSULE I mean, I glided through the store and it hasn't been updated or renovated since they opened, sure that is whatever because the prices are low, but while glancing through their electronic aisles and kiosks I noticed that all the items were 1-2 years old, nothing really new which would be okay and even interesting, but they are selling everything for MSRP from up to 2 years ago! I found this Wal-mart to be more sad then interesting, and even worse it is one of the only ones in the area so they have a captive audience. However, you can find better value elsewhere in terms of electronics and even food staples. read more

I received a Happy to Help voucher during a fundraising event in December. Today, 1/26, I went to the Wal-Mart in Riverdale, NJ (my closest Location) to use it before its expiration date of 1/31/19. I am over 6 months pregnant and shopping with my almost 2 year old toddler. After spending over an hour at this location with a cart full of items and ready to check out, I am told I cannot use the voucher as it expired and I need to go back to where this was given (it was won at a fundraiser, how would I know where it was purchased?!?). It clearly states it expires on 1/31. A manager (wish I got his name) was absolutely no help. I left without purchasing anything due to clear frustration. This is one of the poorest customer service experience I have ever experienced at any Wal-Mart and I've been a long time customer. I will never shop at this location again. I wish I could give them -5 stars. read more

Terrible - empty shelves - Had a gift card to purchase a camera, went just after Christmas - and went back 4 different times, each time them telling me they get shipments of cameras daily. Well, after the 4th time, their shelves were just as empty - Guess they hoped I would spend gift card on their junk. NOT Went online (Walmart) to try to purchase, and the price was more expensive for same advertised camera - spoke to customer service who were NO help - just hand holding and did NOTHING. Asked to speak to supervisor, they would not comply. They wanted me to deal with the manufacturer - whom I'd never heard of - NOT. I love this Walmart the only thing that keeps it at being a 4 not a 5 is their food section is small. Smaller by a large margin than the one we also go to in Lodi. They sometimes have a dollar rack of juniors print tees which go quick! I picked up a Fitbit Charge HR here today for $90 plus tax when it's usually sold at Best Buy for around $150. My husband gets his jeans and other clothes from here, they sell Wrangler's. Their Electronics section is not too large but their housewares section is a good size and they have a nail salon (please don't go here its gross) and a Subway and Auntie Anne's Pretzels upfront. Parking usually isn't that hard because it is a big lot. Shared with Sports Authority and JoAnn's. Easily accessible off State Route 23. Will continue shopping here for my clothes and household needs (and Lodi for my groceries!) read more

Worst shopping experience ever. Ordered a kids backpack online for "in store pickup" after 4 hours i received notification that my product was ready for pickup. It was too late to get so i went the next morning. I got to the store and after waiting at customer service, was told to head to the back of the store for online pickup. After shopping for a few minutes, i went to the pickup spot and waited. And waited. And waited... Employees came and went and asked if i was being helped but unfortunately none of them could help me. I actually called the store phone number to request assistance after 10-15 min of waiting. Someone came by and actually scolded me for being impatient, and actually told me how retail works, that they would get to me when they were free. Keep in mind it's 11:30am and there were dozens of employees NOT helping anyone. Finally Carol came to assist me. She got me my product. I asked her if i could pay for my photo prints while i was there and she said that she couldn't and that someone from photo would have to do it. So i proceeded to photo where i waited AGAIN! Guess who the photo associate was! CAROL! So rather than walk over with me to assist me she decided to help the others waiting for online pickup even though i was first and waited a hell of a lot longer than them. I then went to customer service for help and Mark was actually trying to help by walking me back to photo to try to figure out how to charge me. During this time Carol came back to photo and rather help to expedite me, she proceeds to help ANOTHER customer! As that customer paid and was on their merry way, i gave up and left without my photos. 45 minutes in that store. I'm never shopping Walmart again. Walmart pharmacy has been my saving grace for years now. They promptly text me when my refills are done: and I'm especially grateful for the eight-dollar generics. The Walmart in Riverdale is the last lot down a winding road connecting the lots of Chili's and Best Buy. Walmart has a Subway and nail salon at the entrance, which is convenient. I suppose that makes up for their lack of a produce section. The only drawback I see are unhappy workers, and for that you can thank management. A fish rots from the head down. I've heard serious complaints from Walmart workers about having been scolded like children, and asked to run multiple departments simultaneously. Walmart is known for their low prices, but it sounds like they enjoy a deal just as much as their customers; I've heard complaints of part-timers being cut to four hours a week! They are also in the habit of hiring inexperienced workers to do the same work for less pay. read more
