I recently ordered online from this store. NEVER again. To start with, no receipt was available online; I called to request a receipt be sent me by email - nearly a week has gone by and NOTHING. I ordered 4 items on 8/31 and just received the first one today, six days later. Plus, contrary to my delivery instructions on the order, it was left outside at the entrance to my apt. building. grrrr It gets worse. Another item that was supposed to be delivered by OnTrac, probably the worst company to claim being in the business of deliveries EVER, has never arrived; it was medicine. After I called the very professional & courteous Walmart agents 3 times on 3 different days, that order was cancelled & then reordered. I pleaded that another delivery co. be assigned to bring it to me. Nooooo, when I checked my Walmart webpage just now, it has gone back to OnTrac, whose drivers also completely ignored my delivery instructions for 3 days and never left my package. On the 3rd day, yesterday, I actually sat in my bldg. lobby for 3-1/2 hrs. waiting for those knot heads. nope Then, when I looked online later, OnTrac claimed they had made a delivery attempt during the time I was sitting in the lobby. My obvious conclusion is that the OnTrac drivers 1) refuse to follow delivery instructions, and 2) are liars, repeat liars at that. Will wait to see if I receive any of the other parts of my original order next week, hoping that some other delivery company or USPS will get those items, anyone but OnTrac. I fully intend to contact whichever consumer protection agency - county, state or national to file a complaint. Moral of the story: Do not order from any store that uses OnTrac. read more

I was the only person to wait in line at the return and there was one other worker moving back and forth with a cart of return merchandise. Did not acknowledge me and went ahead and push the cart into the store. I'm thinking maybe she'll be back. A few minutes later, a few more customers waited in line and one customer went ahead and ask another associate and told her she went to lunch. She could've at least told me, I would have understand. This is a Walmart in the East Bay, apparently from the reviews I read before going it's had some hard times like many destinations so when I went, I didn't expect too much. The store was neat full of merchandise. The staff were courteous, and the clientele was courteous and polite. The bonus was we had went late because we were traveling from a bit away, and we saw McDonald's which actually cheered us up. In addition to everything else we were grabbing. It had almost everything we Needed Tons more options and we could imagine. We were able to get all the holiday decor on top of a brand, new crockpot and a lovely T-shirt for an upcoming holiday party. We really enjoyed it. We kind of remarked how nice it was and how we would go here again. Apparently it went through rough patch, but this place is back and it's well stocked so much merchandise. it is hard to find everything, but well worth the effort , plan a lot of time really because there is literally so much stuff and it has stuff that's hard to find, and rarely seen, but very special for a unique present or a gift for oneself. Stay Away from Walmart, if you can! If I could possibly give Walmart negative 5 stars, I would and it would be well deserved. Not only do they have incompetent shoppers but they are rude and often steal your food or eat half of it and leave it in the container. For the past month, I've endured the worst service from Walmart that I have ever experienced. From failed communication, language barriers and missing items or have eaten items to shoppers who just fail to deliver the order for no apparent reason. For the last month, couriers seem to be extremely unreliable , hostile, and completely incompetent. Today, June 4, was the worst error they made however. The shopper/courier decided to skip my delivery and return it to stock. I called to check on my order and was assured it would be delivered today by 8 pm. Mind you I originally placed this order at 1 pm with a target delivery slot for 5-7. This delivery never made it. The delivery driver decided he didn't want to be bothered so he returned my groceries back to the store. No explanation! Then the order was supposed to be scheduled later by 8 pm, however this action failed also. Meanwhile, they are holding onto my original charge. I inquired about this and was told it would take up to ten days to get my money returned. As a matter of fact, the supervisor I spoke to was busily arguing with me about the difference between an authorization hold and an actual charge. I assured him, that no matter what name you call it, my bank will view this as money as a charge until Walmart corrects it. I no longer have access to $150.00 of my money because Walmart made several errors. The worst part is they get to play with my $$ for up to ten days before I get it back. Moreover, the only way I can get my original order returned is to pay for the order, AGAIN. That realization hit me like a stack of bricks. So Walmart thinks it's ok to basically require that I pay them twice for an order they totally screwed up. Not today!!!!! A word or two of caution: If you are thinking about ordering your groceries or anything else from Walmart's delivery service, think long and hard about an alternative to save yourself a ton of frustration and stress. In conclusion, there are way too many things in this world to worry about, I don't have the bandwidth to worry about whether I can trust Walmart to hire competent staff. At the end of the day, you either hire conscientious workers that care about good customer care or you hire anyone with an active heartbeat and pulse and foist them onto the unsuspecting public. I walk into this Walmart, and I'm immediately greeted with two carts that don't work. Not one, but two. I also want to know why the soap is locked up, and I have to locate someone to unlock the soap cabinet in order to retrieve a product to clean myself. Ummm... completely confused. There MUST be another way. While I'm in a hurried pace to be set free from this god forsaken place, I arrive at the front of the store where the lines are outlandish and the manager is nowhere to be found. As I attempt to locate the quickest and what will appear to be a drama free line, I ask an employee where the manager is, in the hopes that I can make a request for more customer associates to work registers because the store is in mayhem and utter chaos. The associate proceeds to tell me that the manager is in the built in McDonald's, on lunch. Like... WHAT??? I peek my head over at the McDonald's to see if I can catch her and inform her that something should be done to rectify this issue. As I'm researching, she is hanging out and socializing with 4 other employees. Ummm... giiiiiiiirl... if you don't clean up this MESS, then go on break. What's the deal here? I never come to this Walmart for this very reason. It never ceases to disappoint, and the moment I give it a chance, it SUCKS more than the previous time. Shaking my head. Disorganized and very hard to find anything. Came here the past few weeks to try to find a white 5 gallon bucket, which said was "in stock" on the walmart.com website. I asked many staff members, and they all pointed to the Auto section. I circled the Auto section, and couldn't find it. I proceeded to look in other sections, and wasn't able to find it. Finally, after about a few hours of looking, one of the staff members told me it was in the Paint section. We went there, and it was sold out! What a waste of time... not only was the location not intuitive, it was not even in stock. Boo. This Walmart's Garden section is very limited - they do not carry many fertilizers, soils (e.g. there are no seed starting mixes here). However, one saving grace - they offer a pretty good selection of seeds - including 20 cent packets of vegetable and flower seeds (they're kept in the back aisles). They're from the same vendor as Dollar Tree's. The Garden section is fairly neat and tidy - but that's because it's small and not very frequented. Unlike the rest of the store, which is disorderly, messy, and untidy. Walmart, meh. The 20 cent seed packets aren't worth the disorderly headache. Pass! read more

Wow. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER w/ curbside pickup. I bought two simple toys for my kid. I figure curbside pickup. In and out. Done. The curbside pick up area is near the lawn and garden area. It's difficult to find. Target has nice spaces out zones w signs. Walmart... it looks like a 5 gallon paint bucket with a stick with a printer size paper with a number. Smh. Superstore .... Lady came out at a decent time frame and gave me a plastic bag with my items. I have had terrible experience with Walmart in the last. My gut said check the bag. They gave me the wrong toy!!!!! I told the employee that dropped it off to me. She told me there was nothing she could do and I had to go in the store to return. WTH right !? I am annoyed. I leave the pick up spot and find parking. Quick annoyed. The whole point of a contactless experience is out the door. So I go in to the return line. Here is the kicker !!!!!!!They can't return it because their system does not show that I picked up the item. I am calm but I kindly tell the lady that I did pick it up bc it is here and there is a sticker with my name on the toy itself for curbside. She apologizes but I told her I'm not upset w her. It's not her fault to be honest. I blame the person that grabbed the wrong item and Walmart's failed system. They eventually find out they can't return it because it is the wrong item on my receipt! This Walmart is more exhausting than others. Some of it can be blamed on the customers. What a bunch of rude mofos, barreling down aisles and forcing others to scatter out of their way, getting way too close for pandemic times, and taking liberties with mask wearing. MOUTH *AND* NOSE, PEOPLE. But the customers are not entirely to blame. This location uses its aisles as storage, making it a nightmare to navigate the store. Add customer aggression and the place becomes a series of stress-inducing gauntlets. There's also a time warp at play in here. We only bought 8 basic household/grocery items didn't dawdle, but between trying to get around and waiting a really, really, really long time in a line with only 3 people ahead of us, we came out 90 minutes later. As I said, exhausting. It might be worthwhile to drive a little farther to the next location. The extra star is only because it was possible to find employees on the floor to get information and they were actually nice and helpful. read more

In two words: understaffed and underwhelming, lol. I always come with low expectations because this is a Walmart and it's in San Leandro. With that said, even my low expectations aren't met here lol. So many products are locked up. I came here at noon on a Monday and had to go on an overly active search to find employees to help me open up glass cabinets to retrieve products that cost $2-$5 each lol wtf. The first employee I could find was working on online orders but she was the only employee around. So bizarre. She was nice enough to help me but I felt bad from detracting her from her actual work. She helped me get some items then helped others get items in locked cabinets too. Then I saw another item I needed in a locked cabinet. I felt too bad to bother the same woman again so I had to go even further from the front left of the store all the way to the back left of the store. I had to chase someone and felt like I was stalking them to come help me lol. When I caught up to some gentleman, we then walked all the way back across the store so he could open up the cabinet in question lol. Just beware, a lot of the toiletry items are locked up. The things I wanted that were locked up were eye drops, epsom salt, and band-aids - lol wtf? They guarding it like it's gold lol. This Walmart needs to install customer service call buttons or at least have enough employees to cover each part of the store AT ALL TIMES, especially where there are locked cabinets. Honestly, they should have less items in locked cabinets or at least have them unlocked sometimes - but idk, maybe they've had a lot of theft. In any case! You get what you pay for lol you are coming to Walmart to get things cheap (yay cheapness), so you also deal with low levels (or a lack) of customer service. And every time I come here, even when it's a lower traffic time (i.e. in the middle of the day on a weekday), I ALWAYS gotta wait in line for longer than I do at pretty much any other store - at least 10-15 minutes? I decide to zone out and would rather not be depressed knowing how long exactly I'm in line lol. If you want to end up with some random stuff in your cart, walk around and explore all the aisles/areas! I have come out of here with some random Rap Snacks and even Filipino Boy Bawang garlic corn nuts. Lol if you don't want to be tempted with random goods, definitely come in with a list and try to get in/out as soon as you can. This is a large Walmart so they have all the things, it is easy to get overwhelmed if you don't come in with a game plan! I gave two stars because I found exactly and only ONE nice customer service lady as you exit, the one checking receipts. In general as well, it's nice to have a place with pretty much everything you need for cheap - that is convenient. Actually, we found some pretty funny Christmas sweaters here in December 2020 so I appreciate that as well! If you want festive stuff for any holiday on a budget, it's a good idea to check out Walmart. Pranksters I was led by the ad of iPhone SE deal at Walmart in store only. The sales Carlos and Niod at wireless department said the online deal is over. But they offered an even better deal with AT&T plan. Given the trust in such a big name as Walmart, I bought the phone and the plan. I was surprised when I received the bill from AT&T a month later. None of the terms Carlos and Niod said were true. When I went back to them, they said they can do nothing. I cannot return the phone as it passed the 14 days. Investigated myself called UPS they said did not even have my address on the label. Contacted walmart.com was told to wait 48 hours contacted by 3rd party said UPS delivered no refund. I replied and told them what UPS had said. The then sent another via FEDEX is supposed to be delivered today, called and does not have my address on label. This is beyond frustrating. I am absolutely done shopping at this store. You cannot speak to anybody there because they do not speak English. They only speak Spanish. Trying to get anybody to understand and help is impossible. I was told by many staff members that I could use my credit card and enter it in manually, at the registers, not the self check out, then the manager said no that's only if you have an EBT card. Well I am not an illegal alien that requires federal funding and uses a goddamn EBT card.
