Keisha in returns needs to, at the very least, be retrained and taught customer service. She was rude, combative, unkind, and unhelpful as I tried to do returns with the receipt. She kept telling me she wouldn't argue with me and the shoes weren't on the receipt. I took pictures of the same shoes in the aisle, showed her, and called the manager. She finally completed the return. But, Keisha, please learn how to treat people as you would like to be treated. I will refuse to work with you if I have any future needs. I stop at this chain on the way to Tybee, conveniently off 80. It is part of dated plaza with a one stop shop concept with restaurants, hair care, and Publix. The lack of pizzazz is made up with convenience. However, aside from the dated plaza the options are limited. For example, I got the last pair of flip-flops in my size and the trail mix selection was dismal. read more

3 minutes agoNEW I purchased a $300 limit edition Nintendo Switch from Walmart (Store# 00606) in Savannah for my 3-year-old birthday on 4/22/21 only to open it up in front of her to find the controllers missing and a piece of wood in place of where the console was suppose to be. I went back immediately to return it and was accused of doing this myself because it was "sealed" with some small plastic piece the size of a quarter which by the way was  tampered with. I asked for a different manager and spoke to someone by the name of "Mr. Buckey". He told me that he will have to investigate first before being able to refund me. He took my phone number and made me take this "box of wood" with me until they finish. The Manager Mr. Buckey called me back on 4/24/21 and leaves a message. I call back 4/27/21. Mr. Buckey tells me that they found out the Nintendo Switch was purchased by someone else in South Carolina on 4/14/21 and then got returned back to them on 4/16/21 but somehow it got shipped to there store in Georgia without them realizing it was pre-owned. So I basically purchased a used gaming system that was presented on display as "sealed and brand new" but even with that evidence they still wouldn't refund me my money because they need to hold someone "accountable". I then asked for the General Mangers name and was told "Jill Thrasher". I plan on seeing if I can convince her to give Mr. Buckey the "okay" to refund me even though she denied it already. I decided to call Walmart Corporate on 4/28/21 and spoke to "Ms. Shannon" and was told they cant force the store to refund because they "run like a franchise"; basically saying Ms. Thrasher has the final say. I then called WSAV-TV on 4/28/21 as well and spoke to "Clinton" at the newsroom who plans on having one of the reporters look into my story. My next step is calling a lawyer. Even picketing in front of the store isn't off the table. Anything for my daughter...we are the victims here!!! read more

Go to one of the super centers. The bathrooms were filthy and it needs to be remodeled.

This is a smaller and older Walmart, but the reason I like it is because they always have plenty of outdoor, sporting, and camping equipment. Whenever other Walmarts are busy making room for holiday stuff, this one keeps a healthy supply of recreational and outdoor gear on stock. read more

I go to Walmart because I like to save money. There is nothing outstanding about this Walmart. Like most Walmarts, there is free parking (duh), it is not too messy, and it is cheap. Don't have any expectations, you are not going to get outstanding customer service or anything like that. read more

This Walmart has a record of placing items on the shelf with a lower price than the actual price. When you check out if you don't watch they charge you the higher price. Many people don' t pay that much attention to the cashier and the screen on the customer side of the register is a pain to try to monitor so you don't always see that you are being charged more than you expected. This Walmart has such a record for doing this that it seems to be a marketing practice. It's a shame that a chain as large as this has to stoop to subterfuge in order to run their business. Bad practice Walmart!! You have lost me as a customer after watching you do this again tonight. I walked out without the items I was shopping for and will NEVER be back. I can live without you and if enough people will stand against your practices you will find out what it's like to live without us. I would give it a lower star rating if I could. read more

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. TO START OUT --- I have a disability and carry a service dog to my chest. Today my boyfriend and I were ran out of the store by the 7pm shift at the Self check out (9/22/2021). I was Harassed. She kept accusing me of stealing, because I was waiting to scan the multiple items I have by one barcode. Canceled my shopping order 3 times and made me pour my Items onto the counter. Told me she didn't see the item on her handheld but it was the first thing on the computer. She was disgusting in her behavior and the way she spoke to me. Triggered my PTSD and demanded i do as she said. She was in the wrong and needs to be reprimanded. Discriminated again me and assumed I was stealing because I have special needs. And to top it off she was yelling in my face without wearing a face covering. Glad to see Walmart is following the city/ state regulations (sarcasm) DO NOT SHOP AT THIS WALMART. read more

In all fairness, I'm not a fan of Walmart in general. Almost any bad review you read is reflective of the many negative experiences I've had shopping there over the years. This one is a unique case of stinky, though. Much to the chagrin of some, I'm a big fan of that company with the subscription shipping service where if you're in a city with enough demand, you can get get your order the same day! Unfortunately, I no longer live in one of those cites, but I'm now addicted. Sometimes, you just gotta have what you need RIGHT NOW, and your preferred retailer doesn't have it. Enter Walmart. I figured that using the in-store pickup service would help me avoid the usual stress of shopping there, but NO. First issue: All of my items turned out not to be in stock. fine. BUT they said that the items that WERE in stock would be ready for me within 4 hours. They were not, and were not until the next day. I figured atg this point, I might as well wait for the rest of the items, and so I did. I happened to download the Walmart app on my phone, which allows you to "check-in" to pick up your order quickly. Utter B.S. So I pull up after I completed my check-in, and I follow the direction to the pick-up counter. there's nonody there. So I utilized the call system and waited. And waited. And Waited. AND WAITED. And then the system timed out, I guess and called again. AND WAITED SOME MO'. all told, I waited around 15 minuted for someone to show up. I then waited another 10-15 minutes for my order to be assembled. I couldn't beleive this. I could have actually done this all myself in less time, but here I am, a damned fool trying to give the system a chance to work as it should. The only reason that I'm giving this two stars is because the associate that did help seemed to be apologetic about the whole thing, as opposed to being careless and/or rude, as what seems to be typical in their stores. read more

This was the fifth time I have been there. Of these five times, I have only ever had one check out person who has been pleasant. She has been the oldest lady to help us and worked in the self check out area. The others have been utterly miserable and must hate life or their job. This wal mart gets 3 stars due to the impressive renovation it just received. This is the nicest looking Wally in the savannah area. Unfortunately, customer service is still not a priority. Employees on the floor are unfriendly and they only had 2 registers open with about 30 people waiting in line. All the new fixtures and stylish merchandising means nothing if it takes a half hour to check out. read more

This is the worst walmart I have ever been to. My husband travels for work and I have been to many Walmart's all over the country. The a/c never seems to be on low enough. The selection is not very big. Things are not put in the correct place. Workers socialize instead if working. We tried to buy a TV from this location and we were informed the forklift was broken and to come back tomorrow. We came back the next day in the morning and they told is to come back in the afternoon. After 3 failed attempts to buy a TV we went to Best buy and we were out in 15minutes with a tv. The same TV was less money with out a sale. Buyer beware. read more

We moved to Tybee almost a year ago. This Walmart takes me 20 min to get to but since it's the closest non-grocery store, I end up going a few times a month. From my very first visit I witnessed horrible customer service. The employees are rude, not friendly, and act like they hate their jobs. Had my final encounter today after a rude woman raised her voice at me and got snippy while trying to exchange an item (with a receipt) today. I'll start making a list of what I need from now on and drive the 30-40 min it takes for me to get to Target from now on. This store won't get my business anymore. read more

No fruits, veggies, or refrigerated foods are here, but you can get your groceries from the Publix in the same complex. Customer service in the back of the store was very very slow, but the cashiers in the front were fine. read more

Well, me and my daughter, get in line at the check-out, with a man ahead of us. No one else was in line, except this man. There were no other items on the belt, as if, someone else had been there, but had simply stepped away for a split second to get something they forgot. In any case, it would be rude to step back in line, but it would be somewhat understanding if that were the case. A lot of people have done this, including me. Well, I place my item on the conveyor belt and turn to a cooler to decide if I should purchase something from there. My daughter was with me...we were in line. The cashier had just finish waiting on the gentleman. Then an associate from pharmacy(apparently, she was off the clock, jumped right in front of us) and the cashier rung her up. I sensed that the cashier knew that it wasn't right, because she awkwardly asked me while ringing up the pharmacy associate if I wanted my item in a bag. I told her, "no" and kept my cool. This associate from the pharmacy department was getting cigarettes and some other items, but she wasn't in line. It was the second register from the cigarette section. There was no one else behind us either. This pharmacy associate, I guess, thought it was appropriate after cutting in front of us, that asking us "how are yall doing," would make it okay. I simply said "fine", but, I didn't appreciate it, one bit. I could have started a confrontation about it, but people are so nuts these days, so inconsiderate and rude, that it would simply turn into an argument and I didn't feel like it. It was a very long day for me. You deal with people like this all of the time in retail, but sometimes, you just don't feel like arguing with people who are so arrogant. But, most of all...they are NEVER wrong about ANYTHING anymore. The cashier should have told her, that she could ring her up after taking care of us. She knew that it was'nt right, but didn't say anything. The pharmacy associate, was dead wrong. If you see an associate cutting another customer in line, whether on or off the clock, it sends a very bad message. Even though, I was miffed by the whole thing. I stayed pleasant and kept my cool. She didn't seem to care too much. I hope that she doesn't do this very often. This is a very crazy world right now. Just like she didn't care about being rude, there are people walking around in this crazy world(walking time bombs), tired of people like her and they just may not be as polite as I was. If a situation like this is not handled with care and professionalism, then management, will certainly have something on their hands one day. Hopefully, the police wont have to be called. It was not cool, what had happened to us at all. And even though, it may seem trivial, it sends the wrong message to your customers. Whether an associate is on or off the clock, when you wear a company uniform, you are seen as a reflection of the business that you work at. My request to management; if you care or consider this matter at all. I would check the video tape at around 7-7:30 pm. She looks like the type to deny it ever happened at all. We just moved here from Indianapolis Indiana, I had stopped shopping at Walmart in Indianapolis, service was bad, pharmacy was bad, and people were just down right rude., so when I came to Savannah GA and found that a Walmart was the most convenient store to my home, I looked online and found a lot of bad reviews about this Walmart, but I always say see for yourself, so I went to the Walmart, wow what great customer service I had, I have been there several times since I've been in Savannah, and everyone has been great between customer service to the pharmacy to check out and all the cashiers am very happy with this Walmart and I will continue shopping there. I go to this walmart often and have experienced workers who seem to be just standing around waiting for the shift to end. Items on shelves are not clearly put in place. You need to find a price scanner for items clerks not to be found. Electronics I do not suggest buying from them unless you are good at doing your homework as to the item you desire. The pharmacy area is always a mess items in wrong areas shelves not stocked as items written. This walmart depends on the tourist coming in for summer and only makes its high mark as for merchandise for summer products.One used to be able to get dairy products they took out the refrigerators for bad service as to cleaning and restocking. Clearly one has to determine what their needs are before venturing into this wal-mart. Or go to the super-center on the south side. read more

This is absolutely the worst Walmart I have ever seen. I have traveled all over the U.S. and I swear I have never seen employees at a Walmart with such bad attitudes! They are rude to customers and useless when asked for assistance. I am handicapped and can't walk very far on my own so I attempted to use one of their electric carts. The battery was totally discharged and as I sat in it waiting for another cart to be returned I plugged it in to the wall outlet. I got impatient and attempted to use one of the manual wheelchairs but they are useless too. So, I returned to the cart I had been sitting in and found it unplugged. I asked the employee standing by the register why it was unplugged and she replied in a curt rude tone of voice, "It doesn't work!" Of course it doesn't work you dumb bitch! It's battery is totally discharged! Of course, I didn't say that to her. I was raised better than that! So, I waited for another cart to be returned and shopped any way but I will never return to this store! Wally, you need to send someone to this store and fix it or you will see a decline in revenue if you haven't already! read more
