Admittedly it looks a bit retro inside but the staff were fairly nice and they obscure part of the doorway so people walking past are less likely to stop and oggle you if your standing infront of the mirror getting measured for hemming. I am sure this is greatly appreciated by self conscious folks. In terms of prices here I found what they charged me to a be a bit shocking. I was charged $21.00 for a rip about the length of my pinkie that probably took them all of five minutes to take care of. Part of this price however comes from the 25% markup they include if you ask for a rush job. Normally I would be understanding of such a policy but it rubbed me the wrong way here in two different ways. First off when I initially brought the coat in the lady came around the counter and stood infront of the sign they have on the wall that explains the markup and how much it is. Secondly I felt that things were phrased to me in a deceiving way. When I was asked about when I needed my coat back by I was asked "did you need this today or can you come back tomorrow?" Nowhere in there was it mentioned about the surcharge on rush work and as a first time customer of this business how was I too know? Another weird thing worth mentioning is how the lady who rang me up didn't really want to take my debit card but when I told her I had no cash or credit she begrudgingly agreed to attempt to use it. I guess their machine has an issue with reading debit cards but why on earth would you not call and attempt to get someone in to look at it or swap out your terminal for a new one? Finally in terms of the actual job they did it was good. The stitch is strong and they color matched the forest green of my jacket exactly. Was it worth the $21.00? I don't know that I can say yes. They are conveniently located in the mall however and the people running it are very nice so if your like me where it's a rarely needed service it could be worth it to throw a few extra dollars towards nice folks running a small locally owned business.

There are frequent PA speaker reminders as well. Between Costco, Save-On Foods and Dollarama, this Dollarama is doing the best in making shoppers feel safe.

After waiting in line from approximately 8 minutes, -there were numerous staff standing behind the till, chatting away, but none thought it was important enough to end their conversation and open another till. When I finally got to the cashier, she did not say ONE word to me other then "One Dollar, Five Cent" and pointed to the till. No "Hello", no "How are you?" no "Have a good day", not even a "good-bye". I understand that we bring foreign workers into the country to help with filling positions, but if you're not going to train them properly and teach them customer service skills, they should not be dealing with customers, they should be 'behind the scenes'. Note: don't go to Dollarama unless you are anti-social, enjoy not talking to people, or want to roll your eyes at some awful customer service skills.

Winners is a weird store. Not weird as in bad, just weird as in I either go to Winners and want to…read morebuy everything or I go in, and want to buy nothing and leave disgusted. My most recent visit to Winners in Leduc was scenario A (want to buy everything). Winners is a discount store (so they say) that has deals on a wide variety of products from clothes to cosmetics to accessories to home decor to candy to toys. I've been to several Winners before and sometimes the deals are really awesome, but other times the Winners price isn't that great of a deal. It kind of depends on what you're looking for, and on the original retail price of the item your looking at. I just say this because it's easy to look and go "omg 50% off" and want to buy everything, but not everything is that great of a deal. That being said I do generally like Winners. I don't usually find much in the clothing department, just because their plus size selection is limited to one rack, but I always like browsing the accessories and the purses and handbags at Winners. The have some random brands I don't recognize, but then ones I do like Guess. On my last visit, I found a nice, basic gray over the shoulder purse that is perfect for traveling, and it was only $25, which seems like a great deal to me. I also really like browsing the home department section at Winners because they have cool home decor stuff, but it isn't just double decker bus figures and Buddha statues, there's more practical home stuff. Case in point the 6 pack fo wooden hangers for pants that I got. Winners can be quite busy, particularly on weekends or after holidays, but Leduc's Winners is nice. It's a decent size (not quite as big as some of the ones in Edmonton) and it's always clean and well organized. The staff are pretty friendly, and even when being the 15th person in line for the checkout counter it doesn't take too long to check out. I don't always shop at Winners, but I generally like it when I do.

The selection of products and especially sizes of clothing is consistently limited and picked over at the Leduc store. This store does have a clearance section, but I find that it is usually filled with broken items that are not really discounted at all. My recommendation would be to go to one of the Winners locations in Edmonton as the selection in these stores tends to be better.

Twice in as many years this has been the Walmart location I've visited for photofinishing services. Other Walmarts so frequently have their photo machines out of order and this one generally always offers the services we need to complete the printing of photos for our holiday card mailings! As far as selection goes this store is pretty darn big and carries a lot of stuff. The restroom is also pretty clean here which is lovely. There's ample parking in the parking lot.

The item rings through at $2 higher than it was supposed to. The Spawn is 8 years old and was spending his own money so we protested. The clerk got on the intercom and asked someone from toys to call her station. Of course, no one did so the clerk had a great idea to remedy the situation. "Why don'tcha jus' go to the toy aisle and take a picture and bring it back for me?" Yeah, sure, I'll just do your work for you. But what can I say? it is Walmart, so I did. Oh, the shame.

This is a pretty standard Walmart. When I visited most recently it felt like much of it had…read morerecently been reorganized but it seemed like there was a LOT of selection available for purchase. It is definitely a bigger Walmart location than some of the others that I have visited! We were able to find pretty much everything we were seeking relatively quickly and were able to checkout via the self-scan area pretty quickly as well. There is ample parking and we were there at a non-peak time so it wasn't too busy.

Leather Centre is one of the smaller independent businesses hanging on in this mall that the…read moreadministration is trying so hard to get rid of by raising rents. All the staff are very nice and embody what it means to make the customer feel like a welcomed guest versus someone to try and push a sale on. I came in to look at a rack of their hobo bags and the lady at the counter stopped what she was doing right away and came over to say hi. The selection here seemed fairly decent considering the size of the store. There is definitely a higher concentration on luggage but they also have bags,wallets,and gloves. I felt like the prices are pretty competitive with Bentley's which is also found in this mall and when they do a sale here they do it right and take a percentage off regardless of whether you are buying one item or ten. None of this BOGO buy one get a percentage off the second one nonsense. This is a great family operated business and I hope they continue on for years to come whether it be in this mall or in a place that actually appreciates the value of small independent business.

Finding a staff member on the floor is impossible. My wife was looking for a certain size of jeans and you would think when a staff member sees you digging through shelves, it's time to ask us if we need assistance. Not the case. We looked around to see if someone was near by. Nope. Lastly, even though the store is the same layout there are flaws. There's a hidden area in the kids dept that goes nowhere. I'm confused by that choice. The selection right now is bleak but I suspect once the store gets humming and they have some metrics the stock will increase. So before anyone craps on this place give it time. It will be better soon enough. Just be grateful that we finally got old navy in shpk.

I don't usually shop at Old Navy but now that they have a store in the park I decided to take a…read morelook for some summer clothes. The store was kind of messy, perhaps it was because it was a weekend. I also found it difficult to find what items were actually on sale. There was a rack of pants that said 50% off. I grabbed a pair and set out to double check the price. I found someone and she asked where I had found it. She said only the marked pants were on sale. I went through the 17 pairs of pants and found 3 that were on sale. I was finally able to find a pair of pants on sale and also picked up 2 tank tops. Not in a hurry to go back.
