Disappointing Experience at the Alcoa, TN Walmart I recently had a frustrating experience at the Alcoa, TN Walmart while trying to buy the new Flip and Sip Cirkul cup as a Mother's Day gift for my mom. I had purchased one for myself a few weeks earlier and wanted to get the same item for her. When I arrived, I checked the area where I had originally found the cup, but it was no longer there. I searched the main aisle with other Cirkul items, but there wasn't even a spot labeled for the Flip and Sip cups. I used the Walmart app, which directed me to a seasonal summer section--also incorrect. After struggling to find the product, I asked a worker who had no idea what I was talking about. I then found another employee who genuinely tried to help, but with all the confusion from the store remodel and clearly undertrained staff, he was just as lost. He reached out to a manager who told me they must be out of stock. I politely mentioned that the app showed over 11 of the color I wanted in stock, along with several others. The manager then said they must've pulled them and sent them back to the company because "11 isn't a lot." That made no sense--especially when there were only three of a different style still sitting on the shelf. He directed the employee to check the back room where items are staged for return, saying they were probably pulled that morning. When I mentioned that, as a Walmart+ member, I could still order the item for pickup, delivery, or shipping, he said it would likely be substituted or delayed. I told him I believed the item was still in the store, but he insisted they were definitely gone. Sure enough, after I finished shopping and went to check out, I spotted a display end cap with dozens of Flip and Sip Cirkul cups--in every color imaginable. The exact product they insisted wasn't in the store. I'm happy I was able to get the gift for my mom, but it was incredibly frustrating to waste over an hour searching because no one knew where things were or how to check properly. Even worse, I was misled--whether intentionally or not--which made me feel like I wasn't being taken seriously. I understand that remodels can create temporary confusion, and sometimes items truly are out of stock. But please, train your employees better and don't tell customers something is gone when it clearly isn't. It's frustrating, disrespectful, and wastes everyone's time. read more

I am commenting on the Shopping Carts only!! They are so bad, most get put to the side as nonfunctional. They don't roll, or If they do you have to hurt yourself keeping it straight !! I think we ALL spend enough money here. We deserve nicer carts!! We even deserve the smaller carts for just a few things or the carry baskets. Just a consideration from Walmart would be so nice, since we are so loyal!! read more

Sadly this is the only way I can write a review... Pick a store. My complaint is against Walmart Corp and Walmart + account that o can't use. We traveled out of the country and o places an order from the Caribbean day before we left. My order was can for local restriction. I called Walmart customer service immediately and explained. I was told just reorder once we were back in the US. I tried.. Well that was 31 daya ago and all my orders are canceled location restrictions. I'm ordering from my home in the US! Multiple calls, try this try that amd no fix. I really struggle to think we are the only people to order out of the country. Now we are evidently consider crooks. Beware, Wal-Mart will not fix your problems if your account has problems. Don't order outside the United States! Total disaster and no one cares. read more

Store was clean and what we were looking for was in stock but the men's restroom needs some attention. The toilet paper dispenser was missing and they had the toilet paper on the back of the toilet which made it difficult to grab and if you wasn't careful it would of fallen on the floor. read more

I have been to this Walmart Supercenter several times. At one time, it was one of the most admired Walmarts in East Tennessee. Me and my friends would stop here before going to the Smoky Mountains to camp out for the weekend. It has some really good restaurants to eat at that are in its parking lot or close by. There's a Hooters and Chick Fi La in the parking lot and across the street is a Cracker Barrel. Service has always been the best while shopping here. I highly recommend coming here. read more

Needing a kerosene can, we ordered and paid for it online and requested that it be available for pickup. When my husband got to the store, he looked all around the outside of the store but couldn't find a place outside to pick up his purchase. It turned out that he had to go inside the store. It would have been faster to skip the online ordering process. Just going back to the automotive department, grabbing a kerosene can, and taking it to the self-checkout lane would have required very little more exposure to other people than going to the kiosk inside. My husband found the experience frustrating. It would have helped if there had been something online to explain where the location to get things picked up was. We generally like this store (would give the general in-person shopping experience four stars), but their execution of having items picked up is poor. My son tells me that the Maryville Walmart does have dedicated outside parking spots for picking up items. The parking lot of the Alcoa store is more crowded, but the store could set up something on the side near the automotive department, where there are almost always parking spots available. read more

Usually a good experience at this Walmart location. We drive past the 411 location just to shop at this one. Store manager is usually always seen walking around keeping a watchful eye on things. I've even seen him pushing carts, helping stock, running the register and greeting shoppers. It's great to see managers get out there and see what their employees are experiencing. Items are usually in stock. Sales associates are usually very helpful and not only help locate something but they will take you to it. Unlike the other location where they can't even radio for help or just look at you like you're an idiot. Store is usually clean and well maintained. read more

I asked for a manager for help and I got Jordan. I tried speaking to him but he was obviously on his phone and he even put his hand up as though I was interrupting him. You could tell it was a personal call the way he laughed too. I am completely appalled but honestly I can't even be mad because who would take their job seriously knowing they're stuck as a base level front line manager at one of the worst Walmarts in the area. There's lots to do but this guy probably gets paid like $15/hr MAX to sit on his phone all day and pretend he's working. I'd rather go to the Maryville Walmart and that's definitely saying something. read more

Terrible... spent over 300 dollars... purchased a gift card and person I gifted to had a card that is not activated. I am being told I have to return to the store... with the person I gifted to for them to use it. Horrible... they are leaving for Florida and it is terrible to have to do this... since they are making me come to the store... I will return the TV and DVD player... and will shop at the Maryville store if I shop at Walmart at all. read more

Paid for an oil change. They broke my air filter box. Refused to take any responsibility. Josh the "shop leader/supervisor" yelled at me and said "you'll have to get a lawyer". Spoke with his boss, they filed a claim with the insurance. The insurance company reviewed the video and said that they can't tell if it was broken at Walmart or not, cause the video is "unclear and at a bad angle". Therefore, they will not pay for repairs. My $50 oil change is now costing me $800 for pairs and service to fit what Walmart employees broke. Do yourself a favor, go some where else for any auto services. read more

I ordered pictures from Walmart.com and had them ship it to the store. It should have been there by a Friday. I had to go to Great Grandmas without her present of pictures of my baby in her Grandmas baby dress. I went empty handed. Friday- I called every few hours to see if they had come in. They said shipment never came with it by 9pm that night. Saturday- I came into the store with my 3 month old and one year old and they couldn't find them still. I went to Great Grandmas without her picture gift. Monday- went into the store again with kids and they did not have them AGAIN. The girl at the desk said it was Walmart.com's fault and it probably just never came in. I called Walmart.com when I got home and they said that the shipment was signed off by Alcoa Walmart and that the pictures had to be there and they probably lost them. I called Alcoa Walmart again to speak with a manager and he sent me back to speak with a girl in the photo department and she said that they were there and had been there all along. She argued with me when I told her that I was upset about the situation and she tried blaming it on Walmart.com. I wasn't going to get kids out again. Thursday- I call the photo center/electronics and told him my story, asking if he could bring pictures out to my car since I have 2 babies and it's the least they could do. I had already paid for them. He said yes if he's not busy. I go to finally pick up my pictures, and call him when I get there and he can't find them! He has other people look and they lost them AGAIN! I am not one that gets upset easily and I am always nice to people, but I was soooo upset and angry that I went in with my babies and looked through their drawers myself because no one could help me when I came in. I started crying because I was so upset and I tried to be nice about, but how could they lose my pictures so many times and on Monday one girl argued with me about it! Thankfully a nice manager saw me and she felt bad for me so she gave me a gift card for my trouble. They finally found it elsewhere. It was nice she did that, but I should not have to wait 2 weeks for 11 4x6's and 5 5x7's. It's hard enough for me to get out with 2 babies. And poor Great grandma didn't get her pictures for her gift! Never getting pictures done here or anything shipped here to this store again. read more

If you go to the Alcoa walmart to get anything done make sure you check out you car before you leave becouse they will not show you video of your car so you can see if they damage it they tell you they will watch the video and if they find somthing they cant show you that you will have to get a subpoena to see if so in other words they wont find anything no matter what wont go there again. read more

This store is undergoing a big remodeling. It is very disrupted and hard to find things during this time. I ordered something for store pick up and it got delayed so I called online customer care. They said my order was at the store and available for pick up. I called this store to verify and they could not find my order. What a mess Walmart has made of a once very good store. read more

What can you say? I mean what Wal-Mart is actually good? Complete disaster here. 30 registers and only five open. I stay away from these places because of their terrible business model. I get it. You want to eliminate cashier's and promote self checkout. But Im not doing self checkout unless I'm getting 20 percent of the bill. NOT MY JOB. joke joke joke of a business.
