We were exhausted after the winter storm with high winds while traveling and I used my wonderful Walmart app to order groceries to be delivered to our hotel room. What a nice convenience so that we could stay in our sweats and eat in. This super Walmart has everything and I mean everything. My list was from fresh limes to allergy meds to bug killing machines. The store is huge so wear your comfy shoes, it's not crazy crowded and everyone from customers to employees are all very polite! I was at store #5126 on Amarillo Boulevard in Amarillo Texas. Went to the bakery at 3:30 on 05/31/2024. I was ignored for 7 min by the 2 people working deli/bakery. Finally got the attention (he looked at me but never spoke)of the young man on duty and politely asked could he get me someone from the bakery.asked again and a young lady came to the bakery end. Asked if she could please slice the bread for me. She didn't speak English well and after a couple attempts explaining what I needed and she still couldn't speak. The young man who had ignored me came to the bakery in a hurry and at the top of his lungs says very rudely "WE DON'T SLICED BREAD IN THE AFTERNOON". I told him someone did just 3 days prior. He yelled again WE DONT SLICE BREAD IN THE AFTERNOON!!! I asked if that was his policy or everyone's?!?! He said everyone's. I told him regardless what he said someone had indeed sliced it in the afternoon 3 days earlier! he then basically called me a liar. I finished by say there's a reason Wal Mart is the highlight of his career. read more

Terrible management and a lot of racial profiling. Everyone in there do not care about their jobs. No customer service. I had employees follow me and look at my items. While in checkout I had an employee grab my item and said I am not scanning right. When she saw that she was Wrong, she just said ok have a nice day. Immediately after I finished scanning I went to find a manager. She just kept walking, even though I was yelling at her about it. Another time I did my oil change over there. The guys did not put my dipstick all the way down. So it evaporated the oil a month later my engine blew up. Yet I could not prove anything. read more

This Wal-Mart is H U G E ! There is a large produce, fresh meats, and grocery section in this store. It also has the regular clothing, beauty, pharmacy, entertainment, and housing sections as well. I can find basically everything I am looking for here. Cheap prices for everything ! The store is pretty standard/average in terms of customer service and cleanliness for a Walmart - nothing out of the ordinary. The only downside is that their check out lanes are SO EXTREMELY SLOW. They only open a few check out lanes and ALL lines are long. read more

The employees who shop for the groceries just to steal the meat out of the large orders because the customer won't notice it until they get home, is what I am complaining about.  With this whole surge of COVID it was an awesome thing when Ya'll made an online grocery service. I would shop there weekly, until I started to notice that each week I had to get a refund on my meats! I even bought some cherry tomatoes one time and by the time I brought them home and started to put them away I notice more than half of them were eaten on, By the employees in the back room!! Shame On Your Employees!! They steal from customers, yet when I have to go into the store (because of employee theft) I have to have my receipt ready for the door employee to prove that I'M not stealing! The last two times I've been to this store, their frozen department has been completely out of very common items: broccoli florets and light whipped topping. The employee who stocks the section explained that he tells his manager that items are out of stock and that they do not listen. When I told the lady who works at the door the issue, she suggested that I tell the store manager directly because customer complaints that are relayed through employees are ignored. There isn't a Walmart convenient to my location as I live near the downtown center, consequently, I can reach 3 different stores with about the same 10 minute drive. This store tends to be the least crowded of the three because it is the furthest from dense populations - likely having been built on this northwestern edge of town in anticipation of future growth in that area, so I'd like to shop here, but I'm not going to risk wasting a trip again. read more

Yesterday was the first time I have ever been to this location. I was shocked to find out, after walking all over the store unsuccessfully, they do not carry any yarn at all. Nor any fabric. I can live without the fabric but I would have enjoyed looking at their yarn. The store didn't look any smaller than other Walmarts I've been to and it is considered a super Walmart so it's hard to imagine being classified as super Walmart and not having any yarn or fabric at all. The store didn't look much smaller than other super Walmarts I have been to so I don't understand why they would not carry certain items unless maybe they found they weren't selling well enough to justify the space. There may have been other things they didn't have also but those were the two things that I noticed. They did seem to have much better prices on other craft items like paints that are as much as twice the price at the local craft stores. But I guess if you want yarn you have to go to another location. I did find some vitamins I was running out of and they were on sale to boot. I also got a purple 9 x 12 zipper plastic envelope to keep my receipts in as I travel. It was only a dollar which was great. Still, no yarn..... Unforgivable. read more

All Walmart's are shit, the employees here (More specifically the heavier older women) are rude as all hell no one seems to be mannerly here and everyone acts like they don't want you here. (2.50 stars) Six weeks of business travel to Amarillo included a few eye-openers. On the positive side, the quantity and variety of decent Asian restaurants was something that I never would have expected. Conversely, I was never able to find what we the rest of the world knows as a supermarket. Sure there are a few small produce shops; quality varies, and at least one was hawking fruit which was pulled from the shelves of another market. How do I know? The shipping label was left on the box. My mission was a simple one, some ripe fruit, Diet Coke and a decent frozen entrée or two for the motel frig. Enter Walmart . . . never a first choice whether at home or in travel. In fact, the decision to enter a Walmart is always one of "do I really need/want (fill in blank) enough to deal with Walmart personnel?" More times than not, the answer is "no," but in this instance, sheer annoyance with the lack of options brought me to the Amarillo Blvd. Walmart. As with most Walmarts, parking is rarely a problem. This Walmart is as large and varied as my hometown store, so I felt more at-home. Amongst four open crates of peaches, I was able to carefully locate five which were actually tree-ripened, rather than the rubbery or mealy fruit which was picked far too early and allowed to soften from age and/or rough handling. Add a 12 pack of Diet Coke ($3.49; no bargain) and a Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie, and my cart was complete. Making my way to the cashier, I somehow managed to pickup a hitchhiker. After making the mistake of acknowledging a Dish Network sales rep with a polite "no thank you," he just continued blabbing-- increasingly louder-- as I moved on. If Walmart doesn't have a policy against harassing customers-- and given their Customer Services practices, that wouldn't surprise me-- they surely need one. Much to my amazement, my cashier was friendly, pleasant and made no effort to introduce the silly Walmart annoyances and delays I've come to know and despise. My guess is that she's likely been fired by now. For something as simple as securing a very few refrigerator items, Walmart came through. read more

Just had it out with Wally World. Cut frozen oj cans asked me to get my own replacement and found 2 more on the shelf that were cut. then told 3 managers who just stood there like bumps on log. When I looked back at them I said you guys don't all move at once. While I was away the checker went ahead and ran my groceries and it was higher than I expected so I got my receipt looked at it and she had double charge me for apples. Sent me to customer service for a refund. Told the mgr who was trying to refund me that the cashier wasn't the brightest and she got insulted. Told me she didn't appreciate me talking bad about one of her associates and I told her I don't appreciate being asked to go get my own replacement of frozen oj because one of their stickers wasn't smart enough not to use a box cutter on frozen liquid. I loathe walmart. It's such a wasteland of tackiness and cheapness. Nevermind their horrid business practices towards their employees, but also they have pressured the government (successfully) to change (lower) their organics standards so they can sell them. Walmart really is an example of where corporatism can really be a negative thing. The food is unappetizing, the fashion cheap. I don't know, is the fact it's so cheap the reason it sells so well? it's not worth it to buy it. It makes me miss Target. However, there are 5 around in Amarillo and they do have everything in their walmart way. I suggest going to the mall however and going to sears and Dillard's. If you like to hear a phone ring until the end of time when finally connected to said Tire center, then by all means call them! I was a little surprised at the hostility towards this store. I have found this store very clean and organized. With the exception of one jerk who works the front door, the employees are courteous, helpful and friendly. Only complaint I have is I wish there were more registers open. We bought tires on line for our cooker on a 16 ' trailer, was told over the phone no problem. So went to the store to have them put on. Was told I had to remove the cooker from the trailer , no way. And it would be a 4 to 5 hr wait with 3 cars in front of us why he said that long of a wait and couldn't do it anyway. I think lazy. Called kwik kar on Western they said no problem and I could keep everything hooked up. Also cheaper for the mounting and balancing than Walmart and buying their tires under an hr to get done. I will pass this on to everyone I know. We spend a lot of money there and do the groceries pick up having second thoughts. May have to go to United. Very very disappointed. We have used this tire center in the past with good luck. read more

I went in to get roses for both my deceased parents for Valentine. I got other things like snacks on the road. There were three self checkout ladies there. No matter that I've lived in the area for over 15 years, no matter that I didnt dress down. The fact was I was a minority, I even asked one of them to put 100 on a gift card so I can order online. I had 3 cashiers standing 2 ft or 1 ft around me. The older one grab my item from my hand after I scanned it. She asked if I scanned the right price. She looked at the price and screen and let me me continue. Then she had the audacity to say have a nice day. I saw the manager Mary walk away from me. She was about 10 ft away, i called her 3 or 4 times at the top of my lungs and there were only like 3 or 4 customers in the store. She kept ignoring me and walked off, she eventually turn around with a mad face and I told her what happened. Even though she knew what happened, since one of the cashier went up and whisper to her. She said what! in a demeaning voice. I told her at the other Walmart, cashiers are not allow to grab a customer's item and said did you scan the right price. She shrugged me off and said she will talk to them and continue walking in the opposite direction of the cashiers even though it was not busy and it was 8 or 9 am. I'm pretty sure she didnt tell them anything. read more

Shopped here about 3-4 times in the last week due to needing a bunch of stuff after moving. They always had what I wanted.

People keep bringing their non- services animals and I don't want that near my food. Leave the pets at home.

They have the worst service in automotive. I had a nail in my tire and went to Walmart to see if they could get it out and fix it. I pulled up at the tire sign and watch one of the workers work on tire in someone else's car. When he got done he looked at me and walked off. He looked at me again when he came back in my area. Then another guy came over and they were both talking to each other. 10 minutes later and 5 cars later, an older gentleman came out of the building. He went to the car that just pulled up, air their tire and then went to another car and got their info and then he came to me. He apologized of course but I feel like it wasn't his fault. Them young boys could have helped him but chose not too. They didn't even go get him. I sat there for 20 minutes before I got helped and now I been here 2 hours just for a hole in the tire. This Wal-Mart has stopped carrying many items that I used to buy. They no longer have as big of a Cereal selection. They have stopped carrying Gluten Free items that I bought every month. Like the Great Value Rice Pasta and Sauce, Beef Stroganoff flavor and the Great Value Gluten Free Rice Pasta Hamburger and Cheese. Like what Hamburger Helper makes, but Gluten Free. For a month every time we go there, at least twice a week, they never have HARVEST SNAPS CEASER FLAVORED. My favorite is the CEASER & WASABI RANCH. They're Gluten Free and great on calories. My favorite snacks. read more
