The thing I will say about Loves is it's more than just gas, It's a convenient store with plenty of auto trucker type items as well. The gas is high quality. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff were keeping things stocked and clean. They also had some fresh cut fruit, which was a nice change of pace instead of regular junk food. They also usually have some type of hot food available, whether it's a restaurant that's part of it or a hot sandwich cold sandwich area.They have a consistent product. Having sampled the charms of Amarillo years before and having taken a blood oath to NEVER visit again, I pushed my gas to the limit to clear the city having previously fueled up at a Love's in OK. Needed to get fuel and being clear of the city of doom, this was an easy stop. For Westbound drives it was not as convenient but still easy on and off. For stop #4 at Love's it hit all the tropes I have come to expect. Clean inside and out and great prices on gas. Very busy truck stop. We stopped for fuel late morning and I ran inside for coffee. They have lots of coffee options. At this time of day the area was not well stocked. The coffee wasn't good and wasn't consumed Staff seemed nice enough, but I asked if they had air to check tire pressure. I was told the one on the store side was not working but there are three on the other side. We walked and drove around and could not find any. So not sure what they were talking about. read more

I like how this one has a separate dog area for large dogs and small dogs. The owners didn't read the signs I guess. My dog gets squirrelly around small animals and I dont trust her around small dogs... she would think they are a snack. So I put my dogs muzzle on just in case. Last year on a cross country road trip I noticed a truck stop with a Godfather's Pizza in it. Hadn't thought about this chain in years as it was probably out of the Austin market by the mid 80's. Brought back a good memory of that restaurant; I mean I had never been served an entire pitcher of soda! Don't exactly remember toppings from back then but it's funny I had this stored in the old noggin. Another road trip recently to New Mexico I noticed this Love's Travel Stop on the way out state. For all you dog lovers. We stopped to use the dog park and a lady left her dog unattended in the fenced dog park and the dog (a pit bull breed) came up and attacked my dog and I. The lady finally came to get her dog and put her giant pit bull in the small dog fenced area and sat down and let her dog run around! Bring a club with you! read more

I love this Loves. I'm sure that's not the first time anyone has used that corny joke. Every since I discovered thief jerky I always make a stop, hands down the best jerky I've ever had and I am a bit of a jerky aficionado. As long as you like more of the dry kind, it reminds me of my grandfathers jerky he would make at home. I've never been disappointed and everyone is friendly, both staff as well as the other customers who have been served. I've never met an irate person there during any of my visits! My husband went into this subway for lunch. He got the chicken teriyaki and asked if he could add bacon. The lady told him "no, we can't do that." He told her he would pay the up-charge for it. Stopped in for 240 gallons of diesel and once again like the last loves I was in had zero windshield washer fluid outside @ the islands nor did they have any towels ‍. I don't know what's going on @ some of these stations lately I'm wondering if they have had cut backs due to COVID because it never used to be like this. This Love's is in a great spot. It's easy on and off of I-40 and less than a mile from the famous Cadillac Ranch. I stopped in here after visiting the iconic road side attraction. The service here was good. I got a cold iced tea and was on my way. I did like that the store was clean and kept up even though it was busy (I stopped in on a Saturday morning). The selection of drinks and snacks was on par with what you'd find at many other Love's locations or other trucks stops for that matter. Plenty of fuel islands for big trucks and normal vehicles as well. I think this is a good place overall to stop if you're a traveler. Stay safe out there! read more

We have a motorhome and try to stop at Loves when needing gas. They are always busy so patience at the pumps is required. They clean the pumps and parking lot twice a day. Clean bathrooms. Good selection of snacks and usually a Subway inside for a quick meal. And they are an Oklahoma based company! read more

Clean Places Friendly Faces - NOT. The amount of trash on the property is disturbing, especially around their private sewer treatment plant. The waste water from this plant is full of trash from the trash bins on the truck parking lot that have no lids. read more

This is probably one of the worst loves locations I've never been, we had stopped in there approximately 4 in the morning Saturday, and the manager there was extremely rude obnoxious unfriendly and did not care whether he did his job or not properly. if it was not before the amount of self control I have, this guy would of gotten a punch in his mouth. Couldn't use debit card at the pump and the staff was rude. Use another Love's or gas station.
