Meh. The parking lot is always packed, no matter what time of day you go. I entered on the grocery side. I got a cart that was so warped, it was heading in the opposite direction of where I needed to go. There were people stocking everywhere. The prices were not impressive, at all. Beware of their Walmart + add on service. Ordered Groceries last Thursday, 3 days ago, was given a time slot for delivery, and never recieved order. Called and was told our driver quit, which was a lie we found out later, and was given another time slot. NO GROCERIES. Called again and was told we would get the Groceries soon, yet our order on line showed a continued 'Delayed" status, called again and again was told Groceries would arive soon. NEVER RECIEVED AND NOT THE ORDER SHOWS DELAYED, ISSUE AT DELIVERY????? A LIE. no issue here just waiting for our groceries. Linda (team lead) who was working in the evening of Friday, July 5th is an absolute asset to this business. I approached one of the staff with a safety concern who connected me with their team lead, who ended up being Linda and she could NOT have made me feel any safer. She went above and beyond what she was obligated to do. Aubree at the customer service counter was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I told her what the guy in electronics told me to come up and say, he said he was wrong. She also told me that I needed to do but she was incorrect and then walked away for about 10 minutes. She seemed to be in a hurry and not actually wanting to solve anyone's problems. I've been shopping at this location years before it became a supercenter. I'm disappointed to state that my shopping experience at this location is not always pleasant. Customer service quality has been poor in multiple departments, a general manager refused to accept a return, and a gross error made by a Tire Lube & Express Technician two and a half years ago may have jeopardized me from getting a free replacement on a potentially faulty Douglas tire through the current manufacturer of that brand. First thing I'd like to discuss is how potentially problematic it can be to patrons to have so many employees, including managers, misinformed. I purchased a laptop for my son as a birthday gift in late October last year, 2024. Since it was a birthday gift I didn't open the box until his birthday, which is in the middle of December. The laptop would not allow me to connect to the internet via ethernet or wirelessly, that is through a wifi network. I contacted Hewlitt Packard's customer support team and after troubleshooting all potential issues it was determined, by them through a live video call, that the laptop's software was inherently defective, requiring a complete reinstallation. My son and I went to electronics department Walmart that day with the laptop and receipt, after I'd confirmed with an employee in that department that an exchange could be done. The employee scanned the receipt and stated, "For some reason the computer is not allowing me to perform the exchange. We'll have to go to the Front of the store manager for assistance." When we reach her she looked at the receipt and said, "I'm sorry, but it has been more than 30 days. It says right here on the receipt that NO EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS can be performed on electronics after that amount of time." I told her it was faulty and that it was for my son's birthday. She looked at him and had the audacity to say happy birthday while immediately telling me afterward that she wouldn't accept the return. I responded angrily and inappropriately, which I wish I could recant. Anyway, I called the Festus Walmart supercenter and it was stated to me that a return under such circumstances WITH receipt and all in order in the box is absolutely acceptable. I drove from the Arnold supercenter to the Festus supercenter. My items were reviewed, my receipt was scanned, and an exchange was made WITHOUT the need for a manager's approval. Now, the inexcusable gross error made by a TLE technician. I had a Douglas tire installed in June of 2022. Last November my husband had to plug that tire and it had lost air twice after the plug. We were told that the integrity of the interior wall of these types of tires MAY become compromised if they are plugged in a WEAK area. My husband had a receipt from an inspection performed six months before the tire was installed, so we had an idea how many miles we put on that tire since it was installed. We contacted the manufacturer of that tire and they stated that we could have the tire inspected at Tire Choice in Commons Plaza. We were told as long as the tire was within the 40,000 mile manufacturers warranty we could receive a replacement free of labor and product cost. When the TLE department at Walmart was contacted the SUPERVISOR over the department pulled up the ticket and stated that the technician noted that mileage as 0. She said she would talk to that employee but would NOT replace the tire or change the mileage, based on my official state inspection papers from that time period. We recontacted the tire manufacturer and it was stated that the mileage noted on the ticket was what would MOST LIKELY have to be used, per policy. We decided to wait and see if the tire would lose anymore air, or if it was a fluke. So far so good, thankfully. We still shop there once per week and most of our experiences are pleasant. We are just appallingly dissatisfied that such a large department store establishment has employees who refuse to remedy mistakes, especially those made by lazy employees, it becomes a thought that lingers. read more

I walked in with high hopes for this Walmart. I was pleasantly greeted by the greeter at the door, but after that, everything went downhill. After I had gotten what I had came for, a pizza, I went to go browse what else this Walmart had available for me to purchase. After walking down multiple messy and dirty aisles, I reached the sports section. I was intrigued by the basketballs, so I picked one up. After bouncing it a few times, I was rudely yelled at by an employee to put it back. I am very disappointed by this service! Why can't I test out a product before I purchase it? What if it was deflated? What if it had a bad bounce? I have never been more disappointed with the service somewhere. Do better Walmart!! read more

Then back to Customer Service as one of my item was leaking... for an even s-l-o-w-e-r experience. zero stars! Worst experience I have had in years! Who is responsible for creating the pick up process? Obviously someone with no experience. When arriving, all of the spots were full. I calles the number and the associate stated I would have to wait for a spot and then call back There were a few cars in front of me. I hung up and then observed all of the LARGE orders coming out..very slowly..I had a small purchase. I called back and told them the make of my car and that I was not calling back. The associate gave me a manager, Kristen. I explained the issue. She told me to pull into one of the reserved spots with letters and that the order would be out in a few. 40 minutes later I witnessed the LARGE order being put into a car parked next to me that had pulled up at least 15 minutes after me. I was VERY upset and asked the associate how that order came before mine and that i had been there for 40 minutes. He said he woukd check on it...the order came out a few minutes later. I was so upset and knew the store manager should be aware of what had happened. I know I would want to know if I were the manager. I was given Kristen again and she took my name and number. I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM THE STORE MGR. So professional. I guess I will be contacting someone in their corporate office...maybe they have someone to help them figure it out. Granddaughter received 2 book sets for her bday that she already had. Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. No receipt but this has never been an issue anywhere else. I had absolutely no idea what the cost if the sets were until the customer service person scanned them. HP apparently was $70 and PJ was $35. wow. The cs person immediately informed me that she wouldn't be exchanging the books at all. I asked why and she told me cost. I could almost understand because that was a lot of $ on the HP set. I then said just return the PJ set that the price was not that much. I was informed that I wasn't allowed to break up the transaction and do just one set. WTH I had never heard such crap in my life. I was told that the store manager had capped returns at $50. Who ever heard of an individual walmart making its own rules??? I took the books and did my other shopping. The more I shopped the angrier I got at the cs' attitude and snotty behavior. I made my purchases then returned to cs and asked to speak with the store manager who set the return rules. He came out and I explained that the return wasn't for electronics but books and it shouldn't be that hard. He politely agreed to take back the PJ $35 set for store credit which really burned the original cs person. She continued to be rude to be even after the store manager had been so nice and helpful to me. She kept going on about how I should be allowed to do the return. Finally I told her I was finished speaking to her. The most bizarre return experience I have ever had. She treated me like a crack addict trying to return stolen merchandise. Lady...they were books in new original sealed condition not an 8lb chunk of media I shoved down my pants and walked out with. Never again. read more

Contact free grocery pickup is a joke, they smash your eggs, chips, bread and gallons of milk intentionally. They also tell you items are out of stock but when you go in the store there they are. Do not reccomend. read more

I called this Walmart asking if they had a specific type of water in stock and the person in the phone was very rude. They then connected me with a member of management who was also not helpful and was then again very rude. I was then connected to a different lady who I then asked for the water once more and she said "uhhh that's a no go". Then hung up on me. The management team here is very poor it is very sad. This is not the only time this has happened it has happened In store as well. Their store is falling apart and so are the employees. I will shop anywhere else but here from now on. Looked at the online web page for the Arnold, Mo Wal-mart for a kiddie wading pool. The site said they had blue, green, pink, etc. in various sizes. made the trip, had to go in only one way. Walked over the store several times to find them. Finally asked two employees that seemed more interested in gossiping than helping. When one asked what I wanted she laughingly said they sold them out long ago. Told her the web page shows several. they both just shrugged and smiled. Place is horrible, never cleaned, food in the wrong section (ice cream in chip isle) and when you get to a cash register if it turns brake time, employees leave and tell you to f##k off. And whats worst is there order service, a part of their website where you can order food then pick it up. Sound to good to be true, right? Well it is. They have to manually fill the order when you use the website, so there gonna be human error, but if there is they'll charge you for it. Me and my family order 2 things of luttle bites, 2 tubs of ice cream, and 2 boxes of pretzles, along with chicken breasts. Needless to say there was mistakes in all these items, the only items in this list we got where the little bites, and we got 4 boxes and where charged for all 4. Plus there are only 2-6 of the check outs ever open, and theres about 60 of them. read more

This Wal-Mart is okay. Really okay. It's near my house & has a wide selection of stuff. Several things I don't like about this Wal-Mart. Twice I have been accosted by beggars in the parking lot. Once during the holidays & another several months ago. Both times happened at night. Really creepy. The second thing I don't like is not having enough cashiers. I sometimes like to go do my shopping late at night. The past times that I have done this, I have found only a couple of cashiers & long long lines of people. I get really annoyed cuz I think I'm going to go on a quick run to get something I really need & end up taking longer than anticipated. Not cool with me. There's no self checkout lanes. WTF???? I used to shop at a different Wal-Mart in another town, & they had them. But that was several years ago, & maybe things have changed since then. read more

Went to Walmart for 2 specific energy drink products and to buy men's fruit of the loom underwear. Only found one of the drinks. The underwear didn't have my size. I asked an associate for assistance and they said they didn't know. Asked 2 more associates in that section neither was helpful. I can buy my underwear for exactly the same price from amazon. I gave Walmart a try and the experience was honestly frustrating and angering. Then went to check out and GOD forbid you should open some of the 40 checkout isles. There were only 2 manned lanes open. I refuse to support self checkout. If you want me to support self checkout, supply your employees with a livable wage and insurance. I have zero reason to support Walmart. I got next to no support alleviating the issues with your service and lack of products and then waited to check out. You've single handedly convinced me to renew my Amazon Prime subscription. Best of luck racing to the bottom of the service industry and I hope you shudder every store. read more

This Walmart is just average. They offer a lot of different products, and the prices are okay. The staff isn't very friendly and the store is always dirty and disorganized. The lines are also long and they have very few registers open. Not my go-to store. read more

Went to my favorite store earlier, insert sarcasm here, Walmart Supercenter in Arnold Missouri and right in the middle of shopping the electricity went out, the the emergency light stayed on, but it was very very dim... Then we were told that we had 3 to 6 minutes before the entire store shut down in order to check out with the items that we had in our basket and could do no more shopping! Here is the reason for the negative electricity review. This store not only sells assault rifles, but also handguns, they also sell bow and arrows, extremely large knives, and more ammunition, then a nuclear submarine! Yet the generator that they have only runs for 3 to 7 minutes, does this sound insane to anyone else? What happens when the entire store goes black? Does everything just go haywire? I am an avid of this store, but now they are remodeling and taking out most of the checkout stations and inserting the do it yourself kind. Today I was there and had to stand in 4 deep line but the do it yourself (10-12) were all empty. We older folks like checkers and also feel this is putting people out of jobs. I needed to pick up a prescription from the Pharmacy after having some surgery done. I have filled prescription from the Pharmacy before. I stopped and dropped them at the Pharmacy counter at 3:30pm. I travelled home and arrived back at 5:00pm. I was told the prescription had not been filled as the latest Insurance card needed to be entered in your system. Once the update was performed on the card I had to wait for the update through the computer system to process my prescriptions. I was informed numerous times the process would only take a few minutes. If I can sit on the bench and wait as soon as it was filled I would be called Well my check out time was at 6:35 PM with my prescriptions. To bad I will never get these couple of hours back to enjoy myself doing a task that might be more pleasant than waiting for a few hours sitting on a bench .. Probably could have headed off some time if they would have called my number listed on my file and I could have come back to give them the information to start the process sooner. Don't know.. but spending the time there in pain was not helpful.. read more
