Not having a car at the moment, I frequently use the W+ delivery service for groceries and whatnot. More often than not, anywhere from 20% to 50% of the items I order are out of stock. You can choose to allow them to substitute items if similar style/qty or not sub at all. I usually choose not to let them substitute out of stock items because their choices often don't make sense. For instance one day I ordered a 50gal plastic bin with a locking lid. What they subbed for it was a 105gal bin with locking lid and also brought the wrong lid. Not having a car, I was a bit miffed that Walmart wanted ME to return this huge, ridiculous substituted item with the incorrect lid to the store. On another order they substituted a bunch of berry drinks in place of iced tea. On the rare occasion that i decide to uber there to shop in person, the store is constantly out of items. It's a definite waste to pay to uber back and forth when the items you're looking to buy aren't in stock. Items at Walmart are still cheaper than the regular supermarkets, but definitely doesn't feel like the savings of years past. On a higher note, the workers here are all super friendly and very helpful. One last note.... The store has a couple of ceiling leaks near the mid and back of the store, so be mindful when it's raining out that you don't stumble over a small bucket in the middle of an aisle. read more

Shopping carts all over the parking lot. The building looks new. They seemed to have fewer people employed than a local McD's. I gave up on trying on a shirt after browsing fb for a while at the locked dressing rooms. I looked at the self service line which was overflowing and went to find a proper cashier. Only one with a line of big baskets. Traversed myself to the self checkout line again and gave up. I didn't want anything I had in my cart enough to wait that long. There was a third employee at the door who I thought might be checking receipts but he wasn't doing anything either. For the employees, I don't blame them. read more

Horrible place to shop! sales associates are rude to customers and very rude to their own employees! Today I was there and once again, I observed a sales associate speaking down to another sales associate who is neurodivergent (has autism spectrum disorder). This is totally unacceptable and it happens every time I am in there shopping while this man is working. He is an older white male and just as nice as he can be; however, the other sales associates are showing their true colors and speak to him with very little respect! I hate to see this. It literally makes me sick to my stomach. I would much rather go to North Augusta and shop at the Walmart there because the sales associates are much more friendly and tolerant of people who have differences. This needs to be reported to corporate! I refuse to stand by and watch this any longer and I am going to report it myself. Stop being hateful to people who have differences. I ordered a Hisense 85 inch television on a Black Friday deal for 548 dollars. Then I received an email stating the order was to be picked up December 1st at the Bobby Jones store in Augusta. I received an email that it was delayed by one day. On December 2 they said there was an issue and they cancelled my order. This is ridiculous. They will not honor a deal they made with an advertised price. Just a cancellation with no real explanation. I realize they are a large company and I am just one person, but it's extremely disheartening that they can just make the sale and not honor the price they advertise. DO NOT SHOP HERE! I am a Walmart Plus member and never had problem with my groceries getting delivered until I selected to shop from this location. I was wondering why my groceries smelled like smoke since no one in my house smokes. Whoever packed my groceries LITERALLY DUMPED THEIR CIGARETTE ASH IN THE BAGS. The BABY FOOD I ordered for my newborn was covered in ashes. Are you freaking kidding me? This is beyond unacceptable and no one from the store will answer the phone. On June 30th I purchased groceries from this Walmart which included several things from the dairy section. When I got home I discovered two of the dairy items I purchased were almost two weeks past their expiration date. I submitted to the Walmart website contact form and wait three days and received no response. After no response I contacted Walmart via Twitter to tell them my problem. Finally, today July 7th, I received a response on Twitt that said we will look into it. Wow, one week later I get a response that means they will do nothing. This is just a warning that you need to pay very close attention to the expiration dates if you are going to shop at this Walmart location. *update* I received a call from the local Walmart manager on 7/8. He apologized and said he was the new store manager and he was trying to correct several issues with the store. read more

I was at the Walmart on Wrightsboro Rd. I found fabric that I needed cut. I waited for a long time and then had them call someone to sewing and no one showed up. I finished all my other shopping and went back and still not a sole to help me. The manager was no help, she called for someone to meet me in sewing. Finally a wonderful lady who was in electronics left her area and took care of me. Her name was Barbara. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I'm sorry but how is this store still open? The shelves are always empty, the associates are so rude and unwelcoming and will straight up fight you, the deli serves under cooked chicken, I could go on and on honestly but you get it. I got so mad at how the self checkout cashier last time I try to avoid this place every way possible. This morning was my first time shopping here in months even though it's 5 mins from my house I go out of my way to avoid it. Upon entering I'm immediately reminded why I don't shop here. Emergency exits are blocked, yet another self checkout cashier gave me a hard time because their self checkout machine wasn't working. There's no light in the entrance so you have to use the flash on your phone to make sure you don't trip over any of the displays they've left behind. I just visited Wal-Mart on Wrightsboro Rd, in Augusta, GA. After completing my shopping, I was at the check-out. I bought two sets of outdoor lights that were on clearance. When they rang up at the regular price, I asked for assistance and showed the employee what it showed on the Wal-Mart app. She argued that that was the online price. Then I had to show her that it said in-store. She still wanted to argue with me. She told the employee working at the self-checkout to do a price override and she wasn't happy. This store is definitely newer -- it's still clean and the shelves are still somewhat well stocked. As is the case with any Walmart, the store is overcrowded if you go any other time of day than early morning. There are never enough registers open. On more than one occasion, I have stood in line for at least 30 minutes. The employees are truly a hit-or-miss at this store. Some of them are so nice and will go out of their way to help you. Others are the complete opposite. As a former Walmart employee, I know what company policy for employees is in regards to interacting with customers. I also know that if I had spoken to a customer the way some of the employees of this store (specifically those in Customer Service/front end) have spoken to me personally, I would've been out of a job before my shift was over. Walmart's prices may be lower than other stores in the area, but those other stores provide a much better customer experience (in terms of employee-customer interaction) than Walmart. I value that more than cheap prices for cheap product. read more

I come here to this location from time to time when I need to get something since it's the closest one nearby my apartment. Most of the time I'm having to possibly make a trip to another location or some other store because what I'm looking for is generally out or not even there. That's Walmart for you basically. Nothing to special about this jank compared with the rest of Walmart stores in the area. It may have more stuff than the others, while at the same time the others may have more stuff than it. The staff is generally nice and helpful when I'm needing them to be here. This time I came for some sandwich cheese, shredded lettuce, and sweet potato fries. There was an abundance of cheese to choose from. I had to sort thru most of the shredded lettuce that was available to get the best looking bags. A lot of them were starting to brown and looked old looking. The selection of sweet potatoes here was totally slacking. They only had the sweet potato tats. Luckily I was content with just having that. Otherwise, I'd have to go somewhere else for more selection. Now, am I suprised by any of this? Nope!! read more

I am not really a Wal-Mart shopper! However, this new one is winning me over. It is in a great location, it has great parking, and it has a Subway inside(eat fresh)! They also have more than one register open for check out! I was lost in the store and customer service is very nice, they offered to walk me to what I was looking for! Horrible customer service. I was looking for a lightweight stroller that the website said was in stock at this Walmart. I approached an employee in the baby section and greeted her with no reply.. I ignored that and continued to ask her where this particular lightweight stroller was. She could only tell me that she didn't have anything at that price. I mentioned to her it said it was in stock and all she kept saying was " that's all I have on the end". I kept thinking, what end? Where? She walked over there without me because the aisles were so packed I couldn't get my cart maneuvered through. Finally caught up with her and she couldn't just show me what she had been. Just said "don't have it, all I have is what's on the end".. Left standing there feeling lost and and pissed off. Thanks Walmart employee for your valiant efforts to make a customer happy. I'm getting more familiar with this Walmart since I'm in the area more. At first I was avoiding this store like the plague!!! I don't know why I had so many negative thoughts about this place, but my fears have been assuaged!! I can go in and comfortably find whatever I'm looking for. The staff is very friendly and have already remembered me and the group I come in with. The store is always busy but you don't have to ever wait a long amount of time to be cashed out. The store is pretty clean and well organized. I also like the fact that I can always find what I want here without worrying about it being low in stock. At first I was skeptical about adding this store in this particular part of town, but from what I have seen thus far I'm pretty impressed!!! It would be AMAZING if we get another Target with the influx of new Walmarts in the CSRA. Maybe my prayers will be answered one day but until then I guess I have to enjoy the stores already in the area. read more

Grand opening lots of sales and specials.This store is very refreshing to the area and will be a plus to the people in the area that was only able to shop at other supermarkets in the area,especially the ones with low/poor quality food products with 10-26 % mark ups. A very big parking area which also there are 3 entrances to the parking lot that i saw but the best one is the one "hiding" on North Leg Rd right behind the strip mall below Wal Mart. I had the one plate special for $3,98 which i choose Hot Wings with jalapeno poppers. You get 5-6 wing depending on the size and about 5 poppers, which is more than enough for lunch. Free food sample inside and outside the prices are store standards except for grand opening specials.A lot of nearby store will really enjoy the traffic flow from this store and some will suffer because it will be hard for customers to reach them due to traffic,but as always,the big guy wins and the little man struggles- you be the judge. Customer service is at 110% right now so don't be shocked at all the attention you get from the staff. read more

This Walmart is ALWAYS out of things that I need. I spent 30 minutes looking for baking powder and they had NONE! I had to make an additional stop at the Kroger down the street for baking powder. Also, this isn't the store's fault, but I usually have an "interesting" experience when I come to this Walmart. I was once followed around the store by a patron. A second time, I was almost assaulted in the parking lot. I still stop by here on occasion when I need to pick something up before work. Well, this Walmart is no different than the rest....it's Walmart. You go here just to save money, not to get great service or top quality products. With that being said, I had to knock this Walmart a few stars due to the fact that every time I visit, they are out of something that I need, thus making make have to make an additional trip elsewhere. Manager and 2 cashiers were standing on the other side so I asked if their was a checkout aisle open. Manager said their are 8 right here. I asked if they would open a cashier checkout aisle and he laughed and said no, repeating his earlier statement. I called 8 times - stood holding for 38 minutes total. Customer service couldn't answer my question and kept sending me to electronics after telling her several times not to connect me with electronics because they never pick up. Last call I asked for the manager, and even the manager couldn't come up to the phone. Had to give 1 star because there isnt a 0 option. WORST SERVICE EVER. I hate this place. It may have been nice : respectable and caring employees when they first opened, but it sure as he-- is NOT now. This is March 2019. ALWAYS out of things you want, employees rude and uncaring...except for about three or four that I see and have help me, frequently. ( I go there every few days cause I live very close). I only go there cause its extremely close to our home. Lines long. And I have also found 2-3 garments that were torn or stained up. They don't have common things sometimes either, like the lady said about the baking powder. I have also seen many items that were out of date, mostly canned goods. Never anyone at the jewelry dept, nor the sporting goods. The store on Bobby Jones is getting almost as bad as this Wrightsboro Rd store. The Evans store is a close third. The best one in the area , I have found out, is the store in Grovetown. If you can stand the place being all mixed up: the departments are set up differently, the Grovetown one has nicer employees, shorter lines, and keeps well stocked. And its a lot easier to fine parking. It's also cleaner. The Grovetown store has almost no lawn and garden dept. though, and no Christmas décor. read more

This is a very poor excuse for a store , there is no one to help you, if you find somebody they know less than you do and have a horrible attitude , the shelves are stocked incorrectly in most cases.
