What a terrible Walmart. Went there yesterday and there were no shopping carts. I asked the greeter why and he said, "Our cart guy didn't show up. They're all out in the parking lot." With 30 employees in the store you'd think they could find one to go bring in some carts. On top of that, there were several empty shelves. And checkout was a complete mess. This supercenter is in a prime location for me and has become my preferred store due to its location. That being said, I will be taking my business to another location after my last few experiences. No disrespect too the cashier who helped me out. He was great. I went in for a clay bar for my car because it has water spots and whatever. No one helped me in the automotive section so I searched myself. The only one I found was open and someone took one of the bars out of the package. I figured, no big. I'll just ask for a discount after all amazon sells the same exact thing for a few dollars less, maybe they'll at least price match (it isn't even a "prime" item.) I asked the cashier about discounting the item, he asked for a manager to come over. The female manager on duty came over and refused a discount because the box was open. I have never had this issue before. Usually managers are very accommodating and have no problem at least helping find a solution. She even refused to price match. After arguing she let me have a whole 10% discount. (Honestly I wouldn't have even cared if it wasn't the last item in stock. I would have gladly paid for an unopened box.) She was very rude. I can attest to all of the negative comments, asserting that this Walmart is the worst! Last night (10/2/18) my wife and I were here just to buy some necessities. We were getting our weekly Sparkling Ice water, when we noticed a sign that hadn't been there any of the previous weeks, advertising a $5 eGift card if you buy 12 bottles. After looking at the signage, if said it was only good from September 3rd until September 30th. Ok...I get it, but again, we have been here each of the last few weeks, mostly for this particular water. Anyway, we get to the front to check out and have to go through self checkout, because all of the employees would rather stand around chit chatting with each other. While checking out, we try to get the attention of the lady working the line. I waved to her since she was far away from me, and she looked and acknowledged me with a nod. Then she proceeds to walk back to her little podium, ignoring me completely. My wife had to get her attention yet again. We then asked her (Liz) about the water. She first tried brush us off by telling us we had to buy a case to qualify. Not only did they not have any cases, but NOWHERE on the advert, does it state in case form. Just 12 waters. Which we happily had done. When she didn't win at that argument, she then told us that we weren't able to get the gift card anyway, because the promotion was over. She offered to call the manager and spoke to him on the walkie. He basically said we were SOL, because of the end of the promotion. We tried again to explain to her to explain to him, that the weeks this thing was supposedly going on, there had been no signage at all. We asked to call the manager up front. At this point we had only scanned a few items. He said he'd be right up. After 10mins and completely finishing all of our groceries, the manager STILL hadn't come up. So Liz called him again and wouldn't ya know it, he was with another customer at this point. So we pulled out stuff aside and waited...and waited. Not sure how much time passed this time, before he finally came up front. He wasn't even the manager, he was the asst manager. His name? Andrew. A bearded, snarky, snot. Anyway, we tried to reason with him that this was not proper advertising and that it hasn't been posted all these weeks we've been coming for the water. At this point, it wasn't about the e-gift card, it was the principle of it all. All he said, as he giggled, was that he would take the sign down. But he didn't get it. It was about honoring something you really had only put up no more than a week ago. He kept saying "it was there, it must have just fallen down"...but it wasn't. He's a liar. A decent manager (my wife is a manager), would have done SOMETHING to please your patrons, but not this guy. We told him we were not happy and we would put the story on Yelp, and complain to corporate about him. All he did was laugh and say "Thank you". You're welcome Andrew...you're welcome. read more

I've been to this Walmart 3 times. I usually pickup milk bone dog treats for my dog and Capstar flea pills. I heard through the grapevine that they have lemon cupcakes. Being the all things lemon connoisseur that I am, I rushed over. They are very tasty! I give them 5 stars, but have to give the store 3 stars. Every time I come, the store is so dark and poorly lit. It's down right depressing. At first, I thought bulbs needed to be replaced. This is not the case. Another thing I don't like are the friendless cashiers. They seem down and depressed. Worse Walmart I have ever been to!!! It is the closest to my home and I stopped shopping here from bad experiences every time. In the past two years I went there three times thinking it would be better but no. It gets worse each time so I officially stopped trying. First time wasn't too I was in a hurry and went straight out of self check to be stopped for my receipt. Second nothing but rude employees act like they hate being asked anything. I return an item to replace it and they opened it up saying it was their store policy. It wasn't the fact what they were doing even though i didn't like that either but how rude they were. I have never had to deal with such rude employees ever. Third time there was only one register open and one side of the store with self check both line were extremely long. People started leaving baskets behind due to how slow the line was going. Yesterday I went to this Walmart, where I had a spectacular experience. Figuring that I needed a new tire, a Bridgestone high speed tire that'd be $300, I dreaded the process. These guys...I cannot say enough extraordinary things about the experience, but they discovered that the core in the valve stem wasn't tightened down properly. Not only did they save me a gob of loot, they were extremely funny & personable. Really enjoyed the experience at this store & will go out of my way to shop there. (Ask the Store Manager to pump some heat into that area of the store, it's #FREEZING back there.) read more

Placed a curbside order for pick up today (last night). Pick up time was 10-11. I got an email saying it was ready for pickup today at 10:08am. Showed up and checked in at 10:30am. Associated helped all the cars in the spots except mine. At 11am I banged on the curbside door, talked to associate Quinton and he acted like he had no one to deliver orders to. He walked back inside. I waited another 15mins. Saw a girl associate come out. She said she had just gotten to work (couldn't see her badge cause she had it covered up). So I just left. Tried 4 times to call the Walmart number, finally got through and reported to them everything I just wrote. It's truly unacceptable. I've canceled my order. I would never recommend curbside at this Walmart to anyone. This has happened on more than one occasion and it's not like I had that many items. Truly disappointing. read more

Better employee staffing at your locations. I have moved near 100% of my grocery shopping to Walmart and Sams in last two years over the curb side pick up. Just at Walmart I spend between $7000 and $8000 on the curbside annually. That excludes my weekly and monthly walk in visits. Along with my $3000-$4000 annual spending at Sams. Lately we order we pick a time and then sit out side after check in via the app for half an hour or more. We love Tina there, but she is having to pull and walk out items by herself. Originally Walmart was staffed with one or two more employees. I spoke to a Kat "assistant manager" to question their or your staffing choices. She was literally no help. I then ended with a simple request. If they want me to wait for half an hour to hour sitting in my suv, I would like a $25 gift card due to their inability to have the groceries ready as the app stated. Then nothing. She stated she was not able to assist. I would think that a customer who spends well north of $10,000 with the Sams/Walmart family would get more assistance. I am disappointed in Walmart's in ability to empower their managers to be advocates of their customers. Oh I think the best line was when I asked Kat why they don't staff more or have her out here helping in peak times? She said Walmart does not control the volume of customers on curbside. I LOVE Walmart but this location is a terrible shopping experience. The store rarely has but 1 or 2 max checkout lanes opened and forces customers toward the self-checkout. Their checkout lines are always crazy long, and in the rare instances where there are actually humans doing a traditional checkout they move as a slow as DMV employees. One of the worst parts of this location is the type of customer. It's all the local tech programmers showing up in minivans with a caravan of 7 family members blocking the aisles in their dirty open toe sandals. Ugh. Also, there are these birds from hell just like the "Birds" movie. Loud and HUNDREDS of them that swarm over the cars and drop poop bombs. The actual selection and store layout is great but they need to improve these shortcomings. read more

This Walmart has improved substantially over the past year. The product selection is good, the shelves seem to be stocked much better now, although there are still issues on core items, and the staff are much more helpful than they have been in the past. The prices are very competitive of course, so that hasn't changed. This store is our main shopping store and I am quite happy with the improved conditions. I took off one star for the out of stocks, but that may be a supplier issue rather than a store issue; not sure on that one. They are flagging out of stocks so I believe they are working on the problem. read more

This is for the Auto Center portion of this Walmart. Very poor experience here. I ordered tires online (from Walmart) and had them sent to this location since it's close to home. It took just a little over two hours to have four tires installed which I thought was a little steep to begin with. I decided to just leave the car there and go get something to eat instead of sitting in their jail cell of a waiting room. I received a phone call when the car was ready and I headed back to pick it up. When I went to pay, they lady at the counter told me it was 80 something dollars! I asked why it was so much just to put on 4 tires? She stuttered a little bit and then took some charge off, and said that they were charging for for a road hazard per tire that I never even asked for, nor was I offered. I asked to decline that service since I just wanted to tires put on. This lowered it to $40 which I though was more reasonable (should have been this from the beginning). The next day after the tires were put on, I noticed that two of my valve stem caps are missing, and they put two of the tires on the wrong way! They are directional tires and they couldn't even mount them in the correct direction...so now I'm having to have them taken off and re mounted and balanced. More money out of my pocket. Beyond frustrated and I definitely won't be coming back. If they can't even get something as simple as tires installed correctly, imagine what else they could mess up on your car... I would steer clear of this place for any service that you need done to your vehicle. read more

This Walmart isn't always terrible, but tonight was. NO CARTS in the entire store! I am currently disabled and need the use of an electric cart to get my shopping done, but there wasn't even a single regular cart available - much less an electric one. I flagged down an employee who blamed able-bodied teenagers for leaving carts all over the store. I thought - wait, isn't it someone's (or several someone's) job to wrangle up the loose carts? Others were audibly upset about the complete absence of carts. Nobody cared, employees couldn't be bothered. It was 9 pm, what were they all doing? I couldn't shop - had to leave. I am handicapped & need the riding scooters to do my shopping. This Walmart has only 2 scooters the last two times the battery ran out. Plus they weren't plugged in when I retrieved one. I have given this Walmart so many chances over the nearly 10 years that I've lived in the area, and it never fails to be just terrible. The employees make it extremely clear that they do not care about you. It's like visiting the DMV, except you're funding an already wealthy family in doing it. Long ago, I reduced my patronage to nothing but motor oil, and they can't even get that right. There is very often no one at the counter in the back. You can poke the credit card machine to summon assistance, or so it says. You will wait no less than another 10-15 minutes, though. I guess it's time to do even that online. read more

She breezed past, in a huff and agreed to help me after 'something something damn layaway.' She helped this other lady first, which was totally cool, then I showed he which phone I wanted, no questions, just check me the hell out, Belinda. So she did, all the while grumbling about every little fucking thing, no have a nice day, not really even eye contact. I am going to get serious for a second. Belinda. You work in retail. And when you work in retail, you are paid to be an actress. Not very well, because you are not a very good actress, but this is your job description. Smile. Greet the customer. I don't give a shit how many things you have to do, or how many more hours you have of this bullshit (2, I was informed.). I am so sick and tired of the service at Walmart automotive I've been a customer for years 20 years in this neighborhood I bought a battery a couple years ago it died today I went into Walmart for help I can't come up to me and said we can't do anything for you for at least two and a half hours but they told the guy in front of me getting a simple oil change 45 minutes I don't know what that's all about. The guy you told me this had a very smug attitude seemed like he was having a bad day and he's going to take it out of me whoever else was in his way this is not the first time I've had a bad experience trying to get service at Walmart. Being able to buy things there cheaper doesn't mean anything in the automotive department if you can't get their service to back it up. I am now forced to go buy another battery somewhere else that I won't get any proration for because I just can't not have a battery and I can't wait for these people. My number of visits here have diminished a lot over the last year to 6 months. I go out of my way to visit other Walmarts. Let me start with the good. It's near my house, so the convenience counts for something. And they have ok prices on somethings Yeah, that's about it. Now let's go to the not so good. They seem to be out of things continuously. It's almost like they don't restock some items like EVER!. The lines are long. If you're going to send money to someone or have to return something at the service desk, be prepared to stand for a while. The same goes if you have too many items for the self checkout or express lane and have to go to the regular checkout lanes. I don't buy groceries here because HEB has them beat. Oh and then there are the birds. In the evenings, it's like you are in the movie "The Birds" lol. If you wash your car and you happen to visit when the thousands of birds are flying around, you will be going to wash it again after visiting here. The birds will crap all over it. It's quite disgusting. It's not technically not Walmart's fault but it's something people might want to know. My last visit here was not very favorable. I grabbed a couple of things and headed to the express lane. While scanning my items, one thing did not have a barcode on it. I didn't notice it until that point. The cashier then tells me I need to go back and grab another one with a barcode on it. Um no, that's not my job buddy. I went on to tell him that he needs to get someone to go back there and grab another one because that's not my job, its their's. He then calls for help from a manager who is also too lazy to go back and get another one, so he just asks me if I knew what the price was. I told him and he rang it up.
