My number of visits here have diminished a lot over the last year to 6 months. I go out of my way to visit other Walmarts. Let me start with the good. It's near my house, so the convenience counts for something. And they have ok prices on somethings Yeah, that's about it. Now let's go to the not so good. They seem to be out of things continuously. It's almost like they don't restock some items like EVER!. The lines are long. If you're going to send money to someone or have to return something at the service desk, be prepared to stand for a while. The same goes if you have too many items for the self checkout or express lane and have to go to the regular checkout lanes. I don't buy groceries here because HEB has them beat. Oh and then there are the birds. In the evenings, it's like you are in the movie "The Birds" lol. If you wash your car and you happen to visit when the thousands of birds are flying around, you will be going to wash it again after visiting here. The birds will crap all over it. It's quite disgusting. It's not technically not Walmart's fault but it's something people might want to know. My last visit here was not very favorable. I grabbed a couple of things and headed to the express lane. While scanning my items, one thing did not have a barcode on it. I didn't notice it until that point. The cashier then tells me I need to go back and grab another one with a barcode on it. Um no, that's not my job buddy. I went on to tell him that he needs to get someone to go back there and grab another one because that's not my job, its their's. He then calls for help from a manager who is also too lazy to go back and get another one, so he just asks me if I knew what the price was. I told him and he rang it up. The point is, it's your job to keep the barcodes on your items Walmart, not mine. I be damn if I'm going to go all the way back and do your employee's job. Anyways, Walmart is not what it used to be. Buyer BEWARE! I am ALWAYS getting charged twice for things every time I visit this store! It's super annoying and frustrating especially when I've got to get in and out of the store. What can I say about Wal-Mart? They are the same across the country. They consistently have the worst lines of any store and the cheapest products. I go here for late night items I can't buy elsewhere during late hours. The grocery side is very lacking but seems to cater to the bad foods. For example, they have around 20 items on a shelf consisting of an Asian section but have an entire isle of freezer microwave meals. They cater to their own. I get it. read more

Ok so I went to Wal-Mart today to pick up an online order and so I parked in the "Pickup" orange painted parking spots on the right side of the doors. A Wal-Mart employee sitting on her smoke break yelled at me and told me that I could not park there. I asked why and she said it was only for "grocery pickups." Well the signs and the painted spaces say nothing about groceries. I told her that I was there to pick up an online order and she muttered something under her breath. I walked over to the break area and held up my phone to show her the order in case she wanted to see it. She again said parking there was only for grocery pickups only. I told her that despite the fact that I'm a minority, I have a pretty good command of the English language and the signs clearly say nothing about groceries. She then STARTED TALKING TO ME IN GERMAN. I kid you not - like she was some White Power advocate or something. I told her I would take it up with management. She refused to give me her name and so I took a photo of her. She then put a shirt over her head, but not before I snapped a photo. I went inside and talked to the store manager who told me I had to delete the photo. I asked him under what authority he had to tell me I had to delete anything. He said it was "store policy." Whatever. I am going to attach her photo on social media. The store manager did not make any effort to have other managers pull her off the floor and speak to her about her blatantly racist actions. I feel that this store only cared about protecting their reputation by taking me over to a secluded area of the store (store pickup) so no other customers could hear me voice my complaint. He even did not want me walking to the front of the store to get a shopping cart to take my 24 items to the car. And he walked me to my car to make sure I left. I sincerely hope Wal-Mart disciplines this employee. read more

They closed our favorite and closest Walmart to us that had been located at 8201 N FM 620 and this one at 13201 RR 620 N would likely be consider the next closest store but I'd never would do so. This is the one that is always dirty and the staff is so unfriendly. Hate that the fact that corporate thought that they were making a better option for me, but they had no clue how nice the 8201 N FM 620 store was, along with all their staff, and so much more. All they needed to clear out the brush between the parking lot and the 620 highway so that folks driving along 620 could see the store better. Maybe they will come to their senses soon and we can return to the 8201 N FM 620 story soon!! One can hope. In the meantime, if I have to start at a different Walmart (although it is likely about 10 miles from me), we'd go the location off of 1431 and Ronald Reagan Parkway.... read more

Do the math here. This one star you HAVE to give MINUS about 1000 stars.!!! This store should be cited for animal cruelty. I was looking for a dog sweater. They had one in a size xxs. While searching for more there was nary an employee to be found to ask. While wandering aimlessly thru the pet department, I came upon the sad, pathetic sight of the "Fish Department". They should not even to sell fish if they cannot offer proper care for the poor things. There was a mushy clump of dead ones all stuck in the filter. Almost every tank had at least one "floater".There was not one single plant or rock for them to hide in. This is stressful for fish, probably why they died. Or maybe because the water was a fuzzy green color? WTF?! It is disgraceful to do that to those poor fish. Surely nobody buys them in their diseased and slimy state. They just get to swim around with their dead roommates until it's their turn to float. The rest of the store was just as shitty. Do they NEVER do store recovery? What a lazy-assed mess. Nobody offered me any help in the tool or ladies department, either. The cashier was nice, so make that negative 998 stars. read more

I just got home from this Walmart only to find out that the food I bought had been tampered with. I am beyond mad and disappointed that this is the kind of product that is displayed on front displays. After finding out the food was inedible I made multiple attempts to contact the store but received no answer. I basically paid for trash. It was busy only 2 people working at the center with a long line, the cashier I dealt with was nice and patient - the other went on and on with a customer while the other cashier was working on getting the line down. Have you ever heard the expression "It's too big to fail"? In Wal Mart's case, it's "Too big to care." This Wal Mart is no exception, and you should know that walking in. The employees are nice enough when you talk to them, but they never ask if you need help, and never know the answers to anything. I have lived by this store for many years, so I've come to expect this - as well as long lines, especially during peak shopping times. Nobody seems to be paying attention to anything- they just do the jobs they have been asked to do. No more, no less. And the bakery and deli are a joke, so don't even bother with anything that's made to order That said, the store is clean, well lit, and the prices are as low as, if not lower, than anyone else. It's absolutely indispensable. Where else can you buy paint brushes and a vacuum cleaner at 3 am? Walmart.com pick up in store review: What a joke. Ordered 2 dog beds ONLY because it said "Order online, pickup today." That was Tuesday, and today is Friday. The order us still in processing state. I called on Wednesday. The lady said she'd call me back in an hour because the online order prep guy was on vacation. She didn't call back until Thursday, and she's still yet to find my order in the pile of online orders stacking up! I've now cancelled the order, but of course that is still pending too since it takes a human to finish the cancellation. Short Story: NEVER place a photo gift order with Walmart.com. It doesn't matter how cheap they are. It is absolutely not worth it! Long Story: I placed a photo gift order with walmart.com in plenty of time for Christmas. It was supposed to arrive Monday. I have heard nothing this entire week, so I decided to call the store. No answer at the photo department. No surprise. There is never anyone there. So I decided to try online chat. I find out from "Monica" that the order was lost in transit. They NEVER told me. No emails. No texts. She offered a refund, but I don't want a refund. I want my photo gift in time for Christmas. After MUCH waiting and back and forth, Monica told me that she would refund me the cost of my original order (good). My new order won't arrive until way after Christmas (bad), so I asked that they comp it. Monica finally said she would give me $20 off the new order. The total for the new order was $20.54, so this was almost a free replacement. I was totally happy with that. I have to FIRST place the order so she can issue a credit, which made me nervous. After I place the order she tells me she is giving me 20% off the order not $20. What??? She MEANT to say 20% off. I was so mad because this was NOT what we agreed to. She told me $20. After she refused to budge, I asked to speak to a manager. Then I handed the computer over to my husband, who is much better in situations like this than I am. In addition to the fact that the Manager, Edwin, also refused to honor the promised $20 off, Zack found out that they had only refunded us $1.33! So Monica didn't even refund the full 20% she promised me, never mind the $20 she promised me!!! My husband got the Manager to refund a bit more, but he did not honor Monica's original promise of $20 off. I can understand that people make typos. But if you are in customer service and you make a mistake like that, you should pay for it, NOT the customer. Edwin and Monica had a chance to make it right and they refused. And for what? Walmart.com got to keep about an additional $10, and they have now lost us as customers. I'm so frustrated with this entire situation. Went over the weekend and discovered that they stopped issuing plastic bags and you have to pay for brown paper bags ($0.25 per bag) for your stuff or cloth reusable ones ($1 per bag). Caught me off guard! I sat in my car after going in and saw a good number of people with their goods just strewn around in their carts, as if they had just left Sam's Club (which doesn't have bags at all). Watch out for price scams! Almost all of my purchases came up a higher price then the tag, a lot of the prices came up more the $5 over the tag! I make sure what I grab is the same as the tag before I leave the isle. Even though I proved the price was wrong they refused to give it to me for the listed price, I left the items at the register. I rarely go to Walmart and am not really a fan of the place. Their prices aren't really that good, their produce usually sucks and most of them don't even have an in house bakery anymore. Walmart, home of outsourcing! Anyway, I was in the area recently and wanted to buy some house plants. It had been raining and went straight into the garden center. I saw an employee standing around inside at the garden center. He said hello and I asked for help. It was immediately 'deer in the headlights'. "I don't work in this department....uh...someone can help you." I'm just more confused why you'd have someone posted in an area where they know nothing. Unless he's the guard making sure nobody is stealing soil. Which if that's the case, is really sad. read more

Unfortunately this is my local Walmart as far as convince. It's right down from my house so weekly trips there are unavoidable. And I can't beat the price on a lot of things so that's always a plus. The negatives are of course the whole 2 registers open and only self check during all hours of the day it seems. And the biggest negative is your overly obvious Asset Protection dude. I've been followed a few times. Always notice the same guy leaving whatever aisle I'm on on a couple of occasions. Also while at self check out with 2 separate purchases (this was my only option because the only two registers opened had a million people in line) the attendant watched me the entire time and questioned me about both of my receipts. I gladly let her and the kid at the door check them. This place is pure chaos with rude associates. If I had a closer choice I would take my business elsewhere. Keep it up Walmart. read more

Went to get a fishing license, and have before successfully at this location, however, the employees working the department were subbing and had no knowledge in the questions I needed answered. I do have to give it to the people trying their hardest to help and they managed to figure out how to at least print the licenses themselves. For them being proactive and their sense of urgency and good attitudes, I would give them a 5. But whoever held the knowledge was supposed to work the sporting goods counter that day was over an hour late and so we went to Academy. read more

So for the past 3 days I have been trying to get the nail out and tire patched but every time I go(twice in morning and once in evening), they are not taking anymore vehicles. So I asked them what time do they close and they said 7 but we have the right to stop taking cars whenever we want. Bad business. A while back I took my car to get an oil change. I've gotten my oil change with Walmart for many years because it's so nice to be able to leave your car go shopping and come back. My car was the last car of the evening. I don't know if the men working on it were upset that there was a car coming at the end of the night or that they just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible but they did seem a little perturbed. My car only needed a simple oil change, so I didn't think I had anything to worry about. My nephew and I shopped around for a good 45 minutes and I never got a call or a text from the mechanics. We didn't think much on it I just thought maybe they were still working on other cars so we decided to go back and sit in the waiting room. We sat there for ages! I couldn't understand why it was taking so long, but I also work in customer service and I know things happen. They finally came to tell us it was ready. So I paid and as I drove off I noticed it was smoking a little. I didn't think much on it, thought maybe they dropped some oil on the engine or something. I drove about 4 miles to drop off my nephew but by the time I got to his place the car was smoking like crazy and the little arrow, for C and H, is pointing all the way up to the H because it was overheating. I freaked out! And called my dad asking him what he thought it could be. I left my car there, too nervous to drive it and figured I would take it somewhere the next day. I called my insurance company to have it towed to Meinicke to have it looked at. They came back with a report saying that there have been a clean break on the radiator hose. The guy said he felt like when they( Walmart mechanics) were changing my oil somebody was leaning on it and snapped it and tried to put it back into place. Of course I was annoyed at the deceit and had to pay $600 to get it replaced. I wanted to get that money back for that mistake so I tried to go through all the steps to file a complaint and actually went back to that Walmart location to fill out the paperwork. Everyone was so rude to me and I was trying to be so kind in asking for this paperwork. They just made the whole experience feel even worse and I'm literally an innocent person in all of this. Once I finally got a call from someone about this they did not care whatsoever and once I told them that I had gotten my insurance company to tow my car, they told me there was nothing they could do because I didn't call them, Walmart, to do it. (Um, ok?) Then he hung up on me. I realIy wish I pursued getting that money back from them. I know what it feels like to want to go home at the end of the day but that employee should have been honest about what he did, and definitely shouldn't have let me drive off, with a kid in the car mind you, and risk the car on the road. In the end Walmart's big corp. wins. It sucks, and I will never ever trust a vehicle with them. read more

I really hate this Walmart... I've only met one nice employee here (I don't think he works there any more) and the rest were more than happy to NOT be helpful. If I needed to know where something was in the store I would get an annoyed look and tone in their voice from the Walmart employee or an immediate "we don't sell that" and then they quickly walk away even while I was in mid-sentence. The bakery has some of their worst employees though. It took me forever to order what I wanted. They don't have a way of getting in touch with anyone at the bakery if someone isn't at the counter. When I finally did get in touch they rushed the ordering process like I was a nuisance to them. I think they would be super happy if they could just sit in the back doing nothing and not have to deal with customers all day because they certainly give off that vibe. When I picked up the cake the woman who made the cake glared at me like she was angry with me for some reason. I kept it nice with her even though she wouldn't stop giving me this look like she hated me. I would smile at her and say "Thank you" and she just would keep the glare on her face and and rude tone in her voice. Never ordering from their bakery again. Their produce section is just terrible. I feel disgusted walking past all the old rotting produce that's on display. It's very gross and I would never buy produce from Walmart cause of it. The produce section definitely needs a remodel and they need to stock better produce + not let old produce sit there rotting with flies all around it. This part I know Walmart can't control... but I have met some of the rudest customers ever at this Walmart. Everywhere else I go is fine, but the rudest people seem to flock to this particular Walmart. I'm not saying everyone who enters this Walmart is rude, but I am saying the only time I've ever encountered rude people at a grocery store has been at this Walmart. I shopped at this Walmart once a week at the most. After awhile my shopping here changed to once a month and now I just don't go at all. There's so many better places to go than here. read more

I try to stay away from Walmarts in general, but every now and then, I'm forced to go in there. This location isn't too bad. The aisles were clear and I was able to get what I needed and go. It was frustrating that only a handful of their 30 registers were open at 6:30pm on a Friday. Most were on each end of the register line by the doors, but there were two registers open in the center, neither of which had lines. It's worth the walk to the center of the registers to get out of there faster. read more

This review is for the Tire & Lube department. I brought my car here for an oil change a few days ago. Everyone was fairly helpful and polite. The listed price for a basic oil change is $31.88. However, the woman who worked there told me there was an even more basic oil change for $26 something. I thought it was nice of her to mention that. Also, they didn't try to hustle me to pay for extra car repairs like a lot of auto shops do. My one complaint was that the lady did not seem to like me at first. It's not like I'm losing sleep over this. I'm not expecting to befriend every single Wal-mart employee. But when she asked me which oil my car took and I told her I did not know, I could've sworn she sighed and rolled her eyes at me. However, she redeemed herself for mentioning that cheaper than basic oil change. I would definitely go back to this location for an oil change. read more

I think this is a fine Walmart. The merchandising workers are always busy, but have always been helpful to me whenever I need help finding items. The cashiers are very friendly. This store sucks. They're always rude; they always have excessively long lines. The bathrooms are never clean enough; they don't have a good selection and their store is extremely disorganized. Their supervisory staff needs completely replaced because retraining only works if you're interested in being polite. read more
