Today marks the very last time I step foot in the Walmart in Azle, Texas. Loss prevention is aggressively making me feel uncomfortable. I don't know if it's because I'm walking fast and I know where everything is at and I want to get in and out of there or they're just profiling me. Today LP dude was following me around "talking" on the phone staring at me. Then when I went to a check stand to be checked out by employee. A taller heavier set older white guy with a little black hat and a black collard polo shirt walked up to me and gave me the nastiest look and just stood there and started at me. Then after he did that he was just lingering around self checkout side eyeing me after I was pissed off staring at him. I'm a government employee, if I stole anything the next day I went to work I would be fired on the spot. So I'm the last person that will ever steal anything. Thankfully I don't have to step foot in this Walmart ever again. I can stay at home and order what ever I want from Amazon in my underwear and have it the next day. Very upset. I had an appointment to get my oil changed. Plenty of days in advance. We get there and they told us they did not have our size filter. They said we could go buy one at the auto parts store and they would put it in . We spent over $15 for the filter then came back thinking they would deduct the filter charge and nope. I feel like I one stars is too many :( Remember when Walmart was a Super Store? It is very much like a police state now. I am not saying it isn't justified, but only that I don't like it. Maybe I am just old and yearning for days gone by, but every recent decision to follow technology has driven me farther away from this company. So many iterations of "self checkout" have clearly failed. The system has taken so many options and precautions into account that it is slow and borderline non-functional. I often think of going there and just shake my head and go somewhere else because of all the drama. People checking my receipt, having to call an employee to "fix" the scanner, and having to deal with all the online customer shoppers who are just rude and in the way with those giant carts.... Kroger, Albertsons, HEB, and Brookshire's are all less stressful and nearly the same price. Why am I wasting my time at Walmart trying to save 3%?? read more

They are always missing stuff from order they say an order is ready then 20 minutes later they say it is delayed and it never showed up yet they charge your card. They need to stick to actual customers and stop pandering to these drivers that don't even have the correct Identification nor a license in United States and don't even actually work for the vendor that Walmart hired. read more

Yet another failed attempt to follow their policies, this morning as I was shopping I saw the veggie straw chips for $1, I didn't think anything about because you always find deals. Well I get to check out and shocker they are marked wrong. The morning manager ANTHONY refused to honor the price and was rude about it as if I was the one who marked it wrong, more and more prices are marked wrong and you the costumer are blamed for it. ANTHONY showed that satisfaction guaranteed means absolutely nothing to him and refused to take my information because I wanted to speak to a district manager. It's too bad WALMART in AZLE has ANTHONY representing them. Today, after shopping for my own groceries (Walmart has taken the employees that do work & put them on shopping instore to fill online orders) Shopping @ Walmart is like you have to compete with the "employees" shopping for online order. Next, there was only one employee working @ a register, and several self-checkout register open. There was a line a the self-checkout and plenty of other self-checkout registers open. I asked the attendant why they couldn't open up the other closed self-checkout registers. She said, there wasn't an attended to monitor more registers. Then Kathy, a Walmart Attendant working on fixing a broken self-checkout register, approached me talking to Trisha the associate - about opening up other self-checkout registers. Kathy said, I was being loud and felt she needed to save Trisha from our conversation. I explained I wasn't talking to Kathy, and I wasn't sure why Kathy felt the need to approach me. She again, said I was being loud - excused me of harassment, and would ask me to leave . I hadn't made a seen, or cursed or harmed anyone. I'm the customer, shopped for my own groceries, and even (was going) to check myself out. I'm not sure what service Walmart is providing. Now, that I have to talk through a mask, an asked a question to an employee - Walmart can't handle me being loud. Really Walmart, I can't tell you the dirt, mess, screaming kids, unlicensed services animals you allow in your store, and you think I'm loud! Instead of standing around Kathy, why do you help! or if you don't feel like helping @ least open up a few extra registers so your customers can check themselves out! Trisha was apologetic and offered to check me out- while Kathy told me If I wanted help checking out to go stand in the only check out register. Kathy referred to herself as a manager, (after speaking to corporate) found out she's not management, but I guess she felt like utilizing employee to put back groceries was a better use of their time. Walmart has perpetrated a fraud without remedy or accountability. Customer Service no longer exists at the store, feedback on the APP or support at the corporate level. I was told that products shipped by Walmart are not their responsibility. I ordered a pickup and two cans of green chiles at $1.49/can were missing from the order. Walmart would be shipping them by USPS with an additional cost of $15.96. I tried to cancel in writing and by phone without success. I refuse to pay $19.00 for two 7 ounce cans of peppers available at any store in town. Although, these are common items in Texas, they were sent from a distribution center in California. read more

The only reason this has 2 stars is due to the very few positives, which I'll start with first. The grocery prices are decent and cheaper than a lot around Azle. It's relatively cleanish inside, clean enough to walk around and not get dirty. The workers have never given me issues and have always been "friendly" to me. Now for the actual review. The parking lot needs to be expanded, there's limited space. Shelves need to be stocked up more frequently, as it's more common to see everything being out of stock than actually in Walmart. Bathrooms could be cleaner, checkout line could be way faster if employees were actually trained better, Walmart needs to do better at online customer service, products need to be placed with similar or matching items instead of 10 isles down in a random location, Pharmacy line needs to be handled better and not in everyone's way next to the supplements/tampon/pad area, as well as the foot machine. The two are super close. Make sure you photocopy any important receipts from Walmart, because they specifically made their receipts to fade very quickly, using thermal printers that cause heat/uv radiation to degrade the print out. Your recipes will turn white/clear, and won't be legible at all, and then f your refund. Be careful. Be safe at Walmart when it's dark. Homeless people live out there now and Walmart is the main meeting spot for many people. You don't know what's out there, so be safe. read more

This may be one of the worst Walmarts I've ever been in. It's dirty, the shelves are not stocked completely all the time, things are missing that should be on the shelf. There's definitely not enough handicap parking spaces. There are not enough working lights in the parking lot. If there was someplace else to shop, I would definitely go there. I had previously rated the Azle Walmart Supercenter 4-Stars, but it is astonishing how far, and how rapidly the store has gone downhill. Virtually every aspect of store management is lacking and now they are in the process of eliminating cashiers. Perhaps Walmart believes it is too big to fail. This review is 100% for Walmart+ delivery. Last Sunday (AFTER 10am) they delivered an incomplete order. Canceled the beer for NO REASON. Ordered yesterday evening for delivery (Saturday 6-7 pm). Said it would be 2 hours late. Ok. It's almost noon THE NEXT DAY. The rep called the store. Spoke to Katie, said within two hours. Still waiting.... I'm chatting AGAIN. 3 times in one week. This is the worst store in Azle, but most Wal-Mart's are. I like shopping at Albertsons. It has a better class of people that shop there. Walmart is always out of something. The people that shop there are rude. They use it as a meeting place for getting with friends, and stand in the damn way all the time. I moved over to Boyd 4 years ago and have been buying our weekly groceries here since then. I spend from $150 to $350 a week in this store. I had major surgery recently and have been bringing my 19 year old daughter with me to help push the cart and help me with the groceries. Over the last month or so I have been getting harassed at the "Self checkout" by the workers that stand around watching us all check our own selves out due to the fact that I buy beer weekly to stock my refrigerator for my husband who usually only gets two days off a month! The last couple of times I have been in to buy my weekly groceries the attendant has asked to see the photo ID of my daughter due to beer being in the cart. I simply said she is my daughter and is helping me push the cart after surgery. The first few times they let us go with no problem but today they refused to let me out the door with my husbands beer. I was literally refused beer and I am 55 years old!!! I was shocked at the harassment I received and asked to see a manager. He said he couldn't override the cashiers decision. First off I didn't see any cashiers standing around as we all have to scan our own groceries now! Secondly they were in the wrong! No one else was getting carded with their kids in tow!!! I felt as though I was being singled out for some reason. I could see them watching us as we were checking out and whispering. Anyway about the time we were having trouble and getting carded my son in law walks up to say Hi and wondered what was going on. He heard the case so he took it upon himself to go get my husbands beer and take it with him and drop it off later at my house as we live next to each other. Well, the attendant followed him through the store and waited until he got all the way through the line to tell him he could not have the beer, he is 28! They have been reported to the Walmart Ethics committee. Anyway, if you are shopping with minors and need to restock your beer fridge, be fore warned, you will be harassed at the checkout. I just got done picking up my 435 pictures from the photo center here at the Azle Walmart. Let me tell you about how I was talked down to by Mrs Mary working in photo and electronics. Don't get me wrong all Walmart associates try their best to be rude, look the other direction and avoid all contact what so ever but this was different. She was extra rude and talked to me like I was her child. Just because I asked to look over the 441 pictures that I personally selected to be printed. Sometimes there are a few that turn out bad or cut off so I like to look before paying. She was not having it! Instead of being understanding she had to give me a whole talking to about how next time I need to do this or do that. You don't tell me what to do with my 441 pictures. You print and take money. I can handle your normal amount or rude Mary but not your extra today. Be nice to people and don't argue with them. It's common since I'm customer service and basic decency. read more

I have to say that I actually love this location for groceries, curbside pickup, and deliveries and I've been to several locations. Everytime I've encountered someone at this Azle location wether I'm buying groceries myself or at the curbside pickup picking up groceries they have always been kind, friendly, and helpful. They always have smiles on their faces and a positive attitude. They are incredibly fast and if there happens to be a wait at the curbside pickup because life, circumstances, and situations do happen, they always send someone out to tell everyone there is a delay and the delays are rare. They package the groceries really good, their substitutions are great, and curbside cares about the way they place their groceries in your vehicle and nothing is ever smashed and always in tact. Yesterday early evening there's was a slight issue with a app and when I talked to curbside management after speaking to the curbside attendant's they immediately helped me resolve the issue with patience, understanding, and kindness. I think this location has a lot of hardworking great people here and they should be appreciated and acknowledged. read more

Absolutely embarrassing how little your employees care about doing their jobs. I came in today 9/3/2020 @ 5:00 PM to purchase food for my family. I stood at the deli SEVERAL minutes while ignored. Two of the three employees did not have their masks on but rather under their chins. One male employee talked on his phone loudly and rudely while STILL ignoring me. I know people have personal lives outside of their jobs, but it is extremely poor manners to blatantly ignore the people that make your job exist. When I was finally helped, the girl acted as if I was a nuisance to dare ask for lunchmeat sliced. After moving in slow motion, she finally got my order of one pound of lunchmeat cut. All the while she yelled back and forth with her co-workers, having to repeat herself several times, making her take even longer for my order. She handed me my order finally and made a sarcastic of "sorry". I was one of the only customers so it's not like they were slammed with orders.. read more

My wife today was accused of stealing from Walmart in Azle tx. She went through the self checkout line and the worker who called security was an old ladies with molds all over her face said my wife stole a pair of shoes, also the lady was wearing boots. Anyway my wife was accused of stealing a pair of shoes in front of everyone mind you we are foster parents and would never risk anything like this. So security is going through everything in front of everyone and our children with NO proof of anything and claimed the shoes we're stolen, My wife tells security since when do you sell crocks. Security then walked away the manager doesn't even have the decency to apologize for their mistakes. I see now why they get $8 an hour. Maybe it was because we have a foster child who isn't WHITE and that's why my wife was harassed. Walmart in azle will only harass NON white shoppers, by the way my wife is white but one of my foster children is not, Thanks Walmart in Azle for harassment. It's Walmart. They do a good job. If you are offended by handicapped people using canes or scooters (or you think handicapped people are "fat and lazy"), perhaps you should not come here. Or go out in public, period. If you are offended by people using food stamps, you may want to reevaluate your attitude toward your fellow human being. If you believe that Walmart is the only place that debits your card immediately for a purchase while there is a delay for a refund, you are incorrect. That is how retail works. If just being around your fellow human being is repulsive to you, do not go to Walmart. Or anywhere. However, if you want lower prices than the locals can provide, fresher produce than the area's other groceries and courteous, knowledgeable staff in the meat market and deli, and friendly hometown clerks, check out this Walmart. We purchased a straight talk wireless phone from here. The phone worked great so I purchased 3 more and after a few months they dropped calls one after another. I spent 2 hours on the phone with them one night and another the following night and they kept trying to tell me it was my phone, I told them all my phones were doing this. Then they said 2 of the phones were out of there zip code, I said o.k but I'm in my zip code so why don't I have service, agian I was told my phone. They had me pull the battery several times and update my profile. Still did not work. Don't get one of these. I went from At-t that I was with for 19yrs to this now I'm with Verizon. Save your money.
