I've been here a lot over the years. Some are good visits... some aren't so good. Today it was very good. The store was very clean and organized and they weren't overly crowded so it was a easy in and out for me. I couldn't find a thumb drive (the reason I was here) so an employee helped me, and the same one checked me out in the electronics dept. From the time I walked into the store till this time I walked out was less than ten minutes. Not bad for Walmart. All in all a good visit. read more

Since the store at Robert Smalls Parkway renovated several years ago, it has gone downhill. Shelves are partially empty or disorganized, and ridiculous lines at self checkout -which often only has 3/6 that even work. Forget about finding a cashier with less than 6 in line. Very rare. Many items in the pharmacy section have a 6 month or less expiration date! Someone is NOT vigilant! Clothing looks cheap but costs more! Worst of all, I cannot find simple things I'm shopping for because they are in very odd places, not priced, and aisle signs are not well labeled. The APP usually does NOT even work in the store, so it too is useless. Often personnel are as confused as I am when I ask for directions. I want the old WalMart back, with better organization! I avoid going to this one unless I am desperate. Then I always regret it. read more

This Walmart location is pitiful. Products out of stock for weeks. A true mess and clothing not priced. Not to mention the seasonal Christmas department has been only partially setup with aisles of empty shelf for weeks. Sad. I have to visit another location to shop. read more

The self checkout only opens 3 stations because the folks watching those stations tell me they can only handle that many. This causes back ups and makes shopping twice as long. Stealing time from customers. From birth humans learn to people watch and their is no reason these employees haven't became some what efficient at it. Long wait to check out. Only 2 assisted checkout lines open. with lots of full carts. No managers present to open more lines. Horrible delivery service. 4/4 orders I have ordered have been delayed 4-24+ hours and I am a paying Walmart + member. Correction was. Don't waste your money. Went to this Walmart yesterday. Went to self checkout and was turned away because I had 19 items. Was told I had to go to a cashier line. There were 5 kiosks open and 3 cashier lines. Each line had several customers waiting. I could have checked out and been home in the time it took me in the cashier line. Ridiculous. read more

The employees are the rudest at the two Walmarts in Beaufort SC that I have ever come across. We've shopped in Walmarts across the entire country, and Beaufort takes the cake in awful! They never smile, ignore you or act annoyed if you dare to ask them a question, and they continue conversations with other employees rather than help customers. This evening while checking out at Aisle 9 I observed the cashier, Patricia, seemed angry and was being extremely rude to the customers in front of me. Trying to be a kind person and hopefully brighten her evening I proceeded to ask her kindly how her day was. So, ever since Covid, they have been herding us towards using the self-checkouts. I finally gave up and began using them all the time. Well, this Wal-Mart now has all their self-checkouts as 15 items or less. What a crock! The first day I noticed this I had planned on checking out on the housewares wide, but all the self-checkouts were for 15 items or less. There was only one register with a cashier and the line was back into the clothing section. I looked towards the grocery side and all the self-checkouts there had the 15 items or less sign on them, with the exception of three of them. So, I headed towards them. When I got there, the Wal-Mart employee that was "monitoring" everyone told me that all these checkouts were for 15 items or less. I pointed out that three of them did not say that. Her response was that it didn't matter, they were all for 15 items or less. I told her if that was the case, they should have the signs, too (the next time I was in, those three had the signs, too). She then told me "Ma'am, I'm not going to argue with you". I told her I wasn't arguing, I was stating a fact, and I then went to the register to check out. Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that I had such a large order, I would have left the cart there and left, but I didn't want to go to another store and start over. The next time I was in this store, I asked someone at customer service what was with the 15 items or less BS. She told me it was company policy. I left it at that, but that is an out and out lie. We have another Wal-Mart on the other side of town, and they do not limit their self-checkouts to 15 items or less. Supposedly, an Aldi's is coming to town soon. Can't wait. I went into the outdoor section on Saturday 3/26/22 around 2 pm and had the misfortune of dealing with the outdoor department cashier Lisa. She was the rudest most dismissive employee I have ever dealt with when I asked her the simple question of where I could find the potting soil. Awful customer service across the board. Purchased a cable modem/router that was not compatible. Worker in electronics section was not knowledgeable which is okay. However when I attempted to return the unopened item just outside thirty days, the customer service desk told me I could not. Corporate help line said a simple manager override would allow me to return it. When I returned to the store they said this was impossible. Waste of time and $200. Why is it that the pickup service takes FOREVER?!? My daughter sat there today for 54 minutes while the staff sat outside, smoked and chatted. 54 MINUTES!!! This was my first time here. The freezer section was practically empty! The store was filthy. The only organized area that I saw was the meat and dairy department. Upon checking out there were no cashiers at registers. Therefore I did self check out. I has to ask for bags as there were none at my register. I was pleased to see that they had nice reusable bags. someone from Walmart curbside called to confirm at 7pm that I would be at the store between 9-10pm in which I said yes. checked in on the way. checked in when I got there around 9:45/9:50. it said "be out shortly" sat until 10:45 on the phone with customer service, she couldn't even get the store to answer her. got a worker outside to speak to the manager inside who just told him "sorry curbside is closed" after he explained to her I had been here before they closed. never got my groceries. read more

I visited this Walmart on Feb 10th. I was happy there was an orange warning sign in the doorway of the restroom because I thought maybe it was clean. But when I went in it was very dirty. The large mirror had not been cleaned for some time it seemed. I could give many more details but lets just say this bathroom was filthy. Yet the employees I talked to were helpful. The customer service is unbelievably rude. Apparently the fitting rooms close at 7. A woman in a yellow vest (assuming some type of management) happened to walk by and I asked about opening a fitting room so I could try on a few pieces (close to $50 worth). She rudely and swiftly said the fitting rooms close at 7 and kept on walking even when I tried to ask, "then does that mean people can not try on clothes after 7?" She kept walking and said yes. I would have loved to get her name, especially if she was some type of management because I wonder how the store manager would feel about customer treatment. It is going to be a loooong time before I return. Is it a prerequisite for store employees to be rude? It seems that attitude is all you get now at Walmart. Today we visited the Pharmacy with the hopes of getting the Pfizer vaccine 2nd shot for my Mom, who was told to report to the ER for further testing concerning her condition. We called before driving 45 minutes to this location to be sure that this particular location had the vaccine and that we could get it as a walk-in. When we arrived a very rude and completely dismissive young lady named FALLON told us we could not get the vaccine because they had a limited supply and they were already accounted for. When I began to explain our situation and the fact that we had called before driving all the way here, I was very surprised that she simply walked off to do something else. I then asked her if she could let me speak to the Pharmacist, the first Pharmacist took pity on our situation but explained that he doesn't work at this location and would allow the main Pharmacist to make the call when he finished administering the vaccine to someone else. Pharmacist 2, also was compassionate and explained that he actually had received the vaccine in-store but it wasn't "released" yet and that he would have someone call Abercorn to see if we could receive it there. Well, needless to say he had the same rude young lady make the call who mumbled something about Abercorn also having a limited supply while moving on to something else. We left, called CVS from the car they not only had the Pfizer vaccine in stock, they allowed walk-ins for anyone over 16. The service was impeccable and we were out start today finish within 25 minutes. Walmart's Pharmacy Employees at this location need better training. read more

This will be the fourth time I've had an issue receiving the correct prescription from the pharmacy. Even after calling ahead to make sure they have the specific correct birth control by name, they continuously try to push different brands on me. I've had to wait over 45 minutes just for the correct brand to be put back in my name. Specifically, an older man that works in the pharmacy tends to give me the hardest time. Rolling his eyes and telling me over and over that they are the 'same exact ingredients', when they are clearly different as stated right on the packaging. read more

I normally dread going to Walmart for the obvious reasons, but I needed to replace my car battery, so... Today when I arrived at Walmart automotive, I was greeted by the nicest young man, Jelenni (I'm sure that I'm spelling it wrong).. but anyway, he carried my old battery in, and btw, he offered..(refreshing)- He was one of the techs, but apparently they were short staffed, so he was working behind the desk. He tested my battery, found that it was DOA, and promptly replaced it. Since he wasn't familiar with the cashiering aspect, he called for help to complete the exchange. A woman arrived, (less than friendly I might add), but she did walk him thru the process. I want to also point out that Jelenni had a steady flow of customers, and although he wasn't necessarily trained for the register, he still managed to keep the line moving. I'm Yelping today, because society, in general, is quick to complain anout things, but good, friendly service in today's climate is rare and deserves complimenting. *Ernest, another tech, was also very friendly. It's Beaufort's mall. You can't exactly avoid it. So, the staff knows this and at times may take advantage of the fact that WalMart really doesn't have much in the way of competition here. They can be rude and impolite, but there are more friendly members of the staff than sourly ones. You can pretty much find anything you want with decent prices. read more

***WARNING*** AVOID THE WALMART IN BEAUFORT SC YOU WILL BE SADLY DISAPPOINTED IF YOU DO NOT!!!! I bought 4 new tires from walmart last month. I paid $36 for tire servive (balance and rotate) The day I got my new tires my vehile started to vibrate after 25 mph. One week later I took my vehile back so they would check for proper tire balance. I was denied Service that I paid for at the auto department. The said they would not remove the new tires to check them because it might be another problem but, they couldn't tell with accuracy, what problem. I asked them to just remove the tires, check the tire balance, and rotate the tire before putting the tires back on the vehicle. I was told there policy will make them liable for the problem-I ask them to show me the policy... I called the corporate office for assistant and they just referred me back to the manager that caused the problem. I asked for a copy of the ficticious policy the were tring to quite to me and no one could provide it to me, they couldn't find it...that's because it didn't exist. Then the manager tried to get me to sign a generic liability agreement, which is clearly againt Walmart policy. Corporate said someone will call to resolve the issue; however, no one has yet to contact me. This is very poor service from untrained technicians who are supposed to be responsable for their customer's safety. THIS IS A MAJOR FAILURE!!! read more

How about I leave work to pick up items ready for Christmas and while at the KIOSK I got your order was cancelled. They can not find the 36 QTY of the one item I need. I do inventory stuff... one- I could forgive but do NOT send me a ready for pick up the day before. last winter, I wanted a heater for greenhouse, the mgr said we are not selling them because you will just return it in a few weeks when cold snap is gone?!?!?!? wth? Worst walmart in my life! I have lived in many places and this one is by far the most disorganized, unfriendly, unstocked store. Sam Walton would be ashamed. The new thing now (not sure if this store or corporate rule) I had been standing in line for 23 minutes and the cashiered simply left. I had to get in another line with others and wait another 35 minutes. When I called and asked, they said it was an automatic lock out if they did not get a break. HMM. Schedule better? Hire more people? Anyway, they never scan coupons, always keep a bag of my groceries, and one day...The young cashier put in the wrong cash amount.... I told them how much change I was owed. They tried to count six times and then had to get their cell phone out and use a calculator....no lie! read more
