Every time I go into the store, the service is horrible. They have no signage for their self service when you talk to him about maybe making better signing. They just argue with you. Spent 3 hours at the automotive center, just so they could work on other cars except mine. My tire went flat and it was not fixed. The employee that was a cashier, confused my car for an oil change and when I corrected him about the service being a tire repair all he said was "oh". and after 2 hours when we asked when my truck would be done another cashier employee said "I can't give you that information" it's my truck why would he not be able to give me information on my truck? I would not recommend this automotive center, very bad communication skills within the employees and the customers, and they need more employees. I would give 0 stars if I could- October 17th was the first time I've been to the store in months- or literally anywhere really besides just driving (i am chronically ill, i stay home a lot). I went with my sister. Neither of us had slept. So we get our groceries and check out through the self check stands, because even though there were quite literally 10 employees standing around chatting, there wasnt an actual cashier open. As we're leaving we get stopped by the Walmart "asset protection" and pulled into a room by the exit. A white lady and a Mexican lady and if it weren't for the Mexican one being there I'd say it was racial profiling; my sister and i are both Mexican, and I'm alternative looking with tattoos and a shaved head, piercings. (Or some other kind of profiling but let's be real here.) Anyways they're looking through our stuff asking if we've ever been stopped before- to include my sisters purse which definitely doesn't seem right. Obviously not, with two parents in law enforcement but that's funny. My sister tried to speak up because she forgot to scan a couple things, which was probably my fault because I didn't see them in the top of the cart when I threw my scanned stuff there getting my half of the groceries. Again neither of us have slept. One of the employees even helped us with the dumb checkout thing because it malfunctioned when we tried to weigh apples. So then they have a little giggle between the two of them (that caught me off guard) and the Mexican lady goes "usually I call PD for anything stolen over $50 but I'll let you by with a warning. Both of you are going on a list and it's for all Walmart, if you get caught again you'll be banned from walmart" They took photos of us and our IDs, as well as "what we were trying to steal". Again, this is funny because the whole time they're rummaging through our stuff my sister is trying to say she forgot to pay for things and is 100% willing to go back and pay for them. They had her escorted back to the checkout to pay for what we missed. At this point I'm boiling with rage. Then the Mexican lady tries to say I was definitely stealing because I had stuff stacked in my hand as I was scanning. I'm like yeah? And uh, where are both those items? Oh yeah. On the receipt. Because I SCANNED & PAYED FOR THEM. I hated Walmart before but I'm definitely not going back there now. We only shopped there because it's close to our home. But after this we'd rather drive the extra mile to go to Winco. I did some research and saw that this situation (and worse) has happened to many other people, lots of people of color which is unsurprising. I tried to get ahold of corporate- nothing. I might go back to confront the manager but according to numerous reviews, looks like management is about as helpful as their staff that stand around just chatting. I honestly don't expect less from a company like walmart, but it's still sickening and annoying. Like many others have done, I may be seeking legal council for this situation. read more

The photo department not only lost my aunts photos, but once they were finally found and ready they neglected to tell her this for two hours. She came to check multiple times and the woman at the photo counter told her it would be even longer. Eventually someone else cane and let my aunt know that her photos had been ready for an hour. My son lost his phone here. At least we thought so we wanted to call and see if anyone turned it in. First I got the runaround on the automated phone system again and again and again and no one answered. Then I finally clicked a random department and when I finally did talk to a real person they tried to connecting me with customer service for lost and found and after being on hold forever it just hung up so I called again but no one answered then I called again and no one answered then I called again and no one answered. I went to the Caldwell Walmart on 10/30/23 and purposely parked my new BMW by a median in the parking lot away from other cars to prevent damage. When I walked out of the store, the sprinkler system was being blown out all over my car that I had just spent a couple hours hand washing the day prior. I also had to walk through the spraying water to get into my car. It's not just water being sprayed during a sprinkler blowout - it's all of the gunk and sediment that's been sitting all year. I was extremely irritated, so I waited a handful of hours to call that day, but nobody picked up the phone. I called again the following day and finally got through. I asked to speak to a manager and the woman put me on hold. After about 7 minutes someone answered the phone, "Hello?" No name or title...just answering like it's their personal phone with hesitation about an unknown number. I explained the situation and he had zero sympathy, never offered and apology, then told me it was a risk I took parking where I did. I asked for the District Manager's name and contact information and he said he doesn't know that information. He suggested I call 1-800-Walmart to file a complaint. (So I'm already majorly inconvenienced, then it's suggested I be even further inconvenienced calling a generic number when I'm talking to someone directly from the store my issue happened at? Seriously?!) I asked for his name and he told me it is Will. I then asked for the Store Manager's name and he claimed he couldn't give me that information, but it's at the bottom of a receipt if I purchased something. I questioned his logic with that statement, then someone else took the phone and said, "This is Coach Izzy." There wasn't any warning the phone was being passed to someone else, which I find very odd and unprofessional. I asked "Coach Izzy" if he is a Manager and he said he's an Assistant Manager, to which I mentioned I asked to speak with a manager to begin with. The conversation went the same as it did with Will - he offered no apology. Nobody said anything when I made the suggestion of putting up signs or something to warn their customers the week of a sprinkler blowout. The tone from both men was basically "it's your fault you parked in our lot and I don't care what happened to your car...I just work here". He did finally provide the Store Manager's first name and without contact information and told me she might be back in 1-1.5 weeks. I was is a leadership role for many years. This experience was filled with a complete lack of empathy along with nonexistent emotional intelligence or leadership skills. I understand they can't wash the sediment and water spots off of my car, but they could have offered a gift card in the amount of a car wash, or at the very least - an apology. read more

I got a pair of house slippers a little over a month ago. The rubber sole is split and coming off. Took them back today one young girl said do you have the receipt,I told her no it was a gift. She said well we have to have the puc number, I said I only want to exchange them. She told me go find another pair like them bring them up and we can use that pic from them. So went got same ones. Another girl told me I had them to long, they have dog hair in them, I replied well sorry I have dogs and I do wear them. She said well we can't use that pic of them and you oblivious have had them longer from what they look like. I said so your telling me you don't stand behind your products you sell, I said this is a defect in the product. I have go ask my manager she walked away, came back and said, we can't them them back, there is dog hair and they have been used to much. I left and said a few words. Called manager and ask him why they would not exchange them, told him what happened he said well they had dog hair on them and it's been to long. I said so you didn't even look at them and you are making this decision. I am pissed at this point. I will call Walmart Corp. From the first guy telling me one thing to the other girl being a rude girl. And the manager not even looking at them. I have seen more people retu things to Walmart in worse condition. I have had so many issues with this Walmart. I bought a wahl hair trimmer and when I opened it up when I got home it was used. Hair and oil splattered all around the case. I called and was left waiting for a manger. I didn't have time to argue with the rude children that work here. I came in at 10 was greeted by aaron to which he informed me of closer at 11 and the right side doors being closed at 10. I did my shopping since i only needed 5 things went through self checkout and got help when the scale was acting up from Nettie then Tracy when I jammed the coin thingy inserting change to fast. No check-stands are open passed 10 but seeing as there is only like 3 workers I can understand why. Customer service closed at 9, money service closed at 8, auto closed at 6, if your curious they all open between 8-9am. was in an out in under 30 minutes. RIP the cart that screamed the whole way around the store for a second thought it was a child someone was having trouble calming down. It smells like they mop the floor with urine. Poor customer service if you can find any. People in the cosmetics stare at you like you're stealing and act weird when you ask where something is. Lines are long. Plan extra time if you go here. It always takes longer. Unfortunately this store is around the corner from my boyfriends house so occasionally I find myself back here, hoping it will be better this time... leaving swearing I won't come back again. Interesting Walmart trip in Caldwell. I heard a pop pound noise. Alll of a sudden I thought someone farted on the isle I was on. Not but seconds the smell had over taken the food half of the store to the point we all covered our noses and like me some of us with weak stomachs were gaging and trying hard not to throw up. They have terrible customer service. I needed photos printed and was told it would be same day pickup. After the process was completed to get them started, I was informed it would need to be next day. I tried calling multiple times throughout the next day to ensure they were available for pickup and the line rang for nearly ten minutes before someone picked up and hung up. This happened three times. I drive to the store to check and the associate was extremely rude and unhelpful. Photos turned out fine but if you have the option to go anywhere else, do it. I went into store #2780 at 5108 Cleveland Blvd in Caldwell, ID this evening for dinner supplies. As we passed the deli, my daughter and I decided to get some orange chicken and cheese sticks. We approached the counter, where there was a young man cleaning the rotisserie oven, and two women were transferring chicken from a box to the fryer. The women looked up at me, then back to the chicken, talking to each other. They continued transferring chicken, when the blond woman looked up and said "We'll be with you in a minute" in an obviously frustrated voice. I smiled, and said okay. Then waited.... and waited... and just as I was considering walking away, since frying chicken is a higher priority than actually serving chicken to paying customers, the Hispanic woman sighed and walked over. I asked for a container of orange chicken, and watched as she grabbed a container and started scooping my chicken - wearing the gloves she had on to handle the frozen chicken. I asked her if the chicken they were handling was raw or cooked, and she told me it was raw. So I said "You just touched my container, that spoon, and scooped all my food, with the gloves you used for raw chicken?" She just stared at me, having no idea why that was an issue. She looked over her shoulder at the blond woman, who was also just staring. So I told them "You know, I'm good. I don't want that. That's how you spread salmonella. I'm good." She continued to just stare as I walked away. My daughter turned back to look at them, then let me know that she just dumped the orange chicken back and both women were laughing. I don't have either of their names, because they weren't wearing any name tags, but it was shortly before 4:30. I stopped another associate stocking meat, and asked to speak to the manager overseeing the deli. She went into the back and a gentleman wearing a boot came out (again, no visible name tag). I relayed everything that happened with the chicken and expressed my concerns of cross contamination and salmonella, especially with all the recent food borne illnesses in the news. This manager didn't act the least bit concerned or apologetic. In fact, he tried to argue it! First he said "I don't think that chicken is raw." I explained that I specifically asked if it was raw chicken, and the Hispanic woman said yes. So then he said (in a condescending tone) "Well, it's breaded chicken." I answered that breaded or not, it is still raw, and that's how salmonella spreads. He just shrugged and said "Ok, well I'll go talk to them and see if it's really raw." I'm so surprised there hasn't been a food borne illness outbreak at this location, with employees who think it's okay to handle raw meat and ready to eat foods wearing the same gloves. And grocery management that can't even pretend to care about food safety, to boot! This crew desperately needs food safety education, and probably a visit from the health department. A customer service refresher would be very helpful too. read more

Wish I could give Zero stars! Awful store! Didn't carry eclipse shirts at all. They're located in the path of the eclipse and Only Walmart NOT carry carry them. They also had an abysmal variety of sports drinks. Worst of ALL was their customer service. They refused to take back one sports drink because their store didn't carry that specific flavor. We then proceeded to back of store to pick out an item to exchange for another sports drink; and when we returned to service desk, she then mentioned it had to be a food item. I had a horrible experience trying to return an item when w a receipt. The customer service manager said I had to return all the way to twin falls to return. Turns out she could have but didn't as she didn't want to do the extra work. Luckily boise walmart took care of me ...and went beyond to ensure i was happy. This Walmart location is most certainly NOT my first choice. But, in the interest of time and convenience, it often becomes the place I find myself at. I believe this Walmart has an image issue. Every time I come to this location, I feel like management has troubles taking pride in the location they are tasked with overseeing. Shelves are often times thrashed and merchandise packaging is often times damaged gives the impression that what is inside is lacking in quality. Perishable products are often on the shelves past their expiration dates. Produce is poor quality and perishes quickly. Shopping carts often litter the parking lot and can often times be found in vacant parking spaces making use of that space impossible without forcing the customer exit the vehicle to move the cart. The look of professionalism in employees is lacking. Instituting personal hygiene and grooming standards can go a very long way. Visiting Walmart at Garrity in Nampa could highlight best practices for Caldwell Walmart management in institute and mirror. read more

I went here to get my new tires for my van balanced because my mechanic couldn't do it. The price was very affordable. I also bought new wiper blades for my van and they helped me get the right size and they installed them for free. I took off one star because they said it would take 45 minutes and they would call me over the intercom when they finished. After an hour of walking around the store, I went and checked and my vehicle had been finished. I don't know how long it would've been until they called me. I used Samsung Pay on my Note 7 to check out at the tire center checkout. It was smooth and worked without a problem. read more

After checking out our items & paying the self checkout station screen has a "rate your experience" screen that pops up... BEFORE my receipt was printed a Walmart employee got in my face and said "can you give us a 5 star?" I turned to look at the employee and before I could answer her she shouldered me out of the way, stuck her arm out pushing me & my son back from the screen & tapped the 5 star rating. I looked at her like "are you kidding me right now" & my son said "did you really just shove my mom and I outta the way to get your rating?" The employee didn't say a word to either of us and walked away... I grabbed my receipt & change then headed for the exit. I knw Walmart doesn't have the best reputation but REALLY?! I live close to Walmart Super Store in Caldwell idaho. I shop there a lot, my car is broken so I can't drive it, im 80 a d can not walk very far much less carry anything. I have been trying for days to reach walmart by my house and no one answered the phone. I need groceries to be delivered but I can not even get a price on the cost! I live on social security, I have very little money. Plus I have a small amount of food stamps, but I can not even get anyone to answer the phone. I don't think.i have ever seen a grocery store so disorganized as this one. The shelves are empty, boxes of incoming product stacked everywhere, most of the time only one register is opened, this sdcc store is in disarray all the time. I also go to.Fred Myers in Nampa and they are fully stocked, organized and have several registered open, if I could drive my car I would switch to Fred Myers....I'm so upset with this walmart... it's disgraceful. It was the worst customer service that I had ever had. I waited for help at the lottery machine for 20 minutes and their machine shorted me $20 and instead of taking my name and number right then and there, they waited until I was leaving then they offered to take down my information. They wanted to view some video footage about the missing tickets. I called the store to talk to the manager and the young girl that I was talking to had no idea where the mangers were or what time they were off. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! This isn't over yet. I will never shop there again. I work in retail along side of my friend and we are going to make sure that we pass the word along. Both of us are customer service managers.
