This is my current home town Walmart. Before moving to Canon I never went into Walmart. I hated it. BUT here in Canon if we didn't have it, we would have to drive an hour to either Pueblo or Colo Springs to get stuff. This one is fine. It is mostly neat and well kept. They took out 80% of their manned cashier lanes and put in TONS of self check lanes (which, honestly I don't mind). I have gotten vaccinations at the Pharmacy and their staff is always friendly, but the Pharmacy always has a long line no matter when I go. And if you make an appointment for a vaccine know that it means nothing, they will do it when they have time (which is often and hour after you made the appointment). They do work hard and are professional, just a little understaffed. Bakery does good work. I have ordered cakes there and they always turn out well and taste great (love the whipped icing). The grocery pick up is the only thing that I would give 1 star. I have had them not bag items and just throw them in the back of my truck!? Twice I got home and found that the cleaning solution I bought didn't have the lid on tight and poured all over my groceries and bed of truck - they did refund all damaged food. And they have tons of problems with their "system" or so they say. I have had orders not ready on time (and ready hours later). Also have checked in to pick up after getting a "your order is ready for pick up" and had to wait 30+ minutes. I actually had to stop using it, it was so bad. So it is what it is. MEDIOCRE Walmart!!!!!!! Staff doesn't have their security together. Lots of items not in stock. Very weird.

They just had their deli floor Epoxied. When you entered the store an overwhelming toxic smell that caused me breathing problems was present. I spoke with several Walmart employees who also expressed concern with the toxic smell. It also caused my daughter's asthma to act up. I asked to speak with the manager regarding the toxic smell. When she finally met with me and she had a bad attitude. She said that the toxic effects of Epoxy will disseminate into the air and that she would not do anything about it. I told her she was ignorant about that subject and that it was toxic and could cause employees and customers to file claims against Walmart should they encounter health problems that resulted in breathing in the fumes. She was very confrontational. Very unprofessional. I have filed an official complaint with the corporate office and contacted OSHA regarding the toxic air quality. read more

Always clean, well-lit and organized. Staff has always been friendly each time I've come in. No complaints thus far! I'm from Denver, so I usually come in when we make a trip down to visit my in laws. I love that the clothing selection varies from my own up North. It's nice to have the different variety to choose from when we come down. read more

I ordered some necessary items because I recently became disables. Last week when I ordered I didn't get my order till the next say. This week I got the wrong order. Delivery is not worth it. They have messed up my order 3 times in a row. First they don't deliver and when they do it is the wrong items. This is crazy and very frustrating. read more

We were in Canon City and stopped by here for some water and other supplies. The staff was pleasant, but the shelves were not well kept as they were disorganized. It was pretty clean and the lines moved along, so it was pretty much your typical Walmart and if you need something inexpensive then stop on by here. read more

Went to get hunting tags for my son and I and there was one guy working in sporting goods. There was one guy ahead of us no worries. He was taking so long trying to find his tags a line formed. The people behind us complained so he helped them and the people behind them before going back to the guy in front of us. I SO HATE WALMART!! However with the Gov the way it is now they are the o my place open due to COVID. They give us Walmart while screwing everyone else over and Walmart is the worst place due to their assault on hunters and gun carrying people that they really don't care. 1 star is to much. I bought a modem/router the lady grabbed the wrong item and it was only a modem. Went back to return it they said they can't help me comeback tomorrow. Did not give a reason why and said the serial number hasn't been processed. So I can't return 200$ item on the same day I bought it with the receipt. This is criminal. Walmart is criminal. read more

My husband and I usually go here after his work, think midnight and later. Or on his day off and we want to go walking, what better way than Walmart?? Unless we don't do major grocery shopping, we'll check out in the self serve then find a Redbox movie on the way out. But then again, midnight grocery shppping is more exciting and you get in and out quickly. Almost always we get the same cashier, Kathy, who is always a delight to talk with. She makes the checkout experience interesting. In a good way. Never have we had any trouble with her or the speediness. Even if it is $100 in groceries. She's probably, I'm pretty sure, the only reason we go late at night. Even the night crew is willing to stop and help. You don't get this service at any other Walmart. Recommended? Yep. Even though you have to manuever around the night crew, not an issue. And yes the aisles may be blocked off, after all, it is when they stock. Can't complain. I would still recommend. read more

Went here on Saturday for a few things and was STUNNED at the BUMS/BEGGARS that are being allowed to ONCE again congregate in the parking lot. They come in the store, bath in the bathroom, are FILTHY and are allowed to try on clothes and shoes. JUST DISGUSTING. Went in the store and asked for mgmt. and NOBODY was sure if there were any mgrs. in. Stunning to me. Asked about a SECURITY person, NOBODY knew who or if security was even around. Asked a few of the female employees and from what they told me they are AFRAID to walk to their vehicles at night. They hate to go outside for breaks, and NOBODY seems to be addressing their concerns either. CLEAN IT UP OR I WONT' BE BACK! read more

This review is for the pharmacy. The rest of the store is the normal cheap crap selling shitbox. But the pharmacy is a special kind of terrible. The average wait time is over an hour to get Meds. The area is poorly designed and makes people wait in the way of others. When you go up they say "10 min please it's on priority" so you sit down. Could be anywhere from 10 to 65 minutes from that time till you get called. Then when/if you finally get the medication you desperately need you HAVE to talk to a dr about it. Even if it's a refill of shit you got last week. At this point a "dr" comes to the barn door and tells you that you need to take it with water. Thanks your job is secure for now. Avoid at all costs. Try kratom for pain relief and walgreens since taking pills from a big bottle to a small bottle is not rocket science but you are led to believe it is at walmart pharmacy. read more

On Christmas Eve I arrived at 5:40 and they close at 6. The door that was closest to where I parked was locked so I had to walk down to the next set of doors. I got to the door and a worker stepped in front of me and said "You can't go in we're closed." I replied " I need to go to the pharmacy and you don't close until 6:00 I have 20 mins yet" He says " No you can't go to the pharmacy we do close at 6 but we were told not to let anyone in." How about stop letting people in at 6:00 and if someone needs to get medication you better be letting them in or a lawsuit could happen if denied access to the pharmacy while they are still open and something happens to that person because they coudn't get there medication. This store has the worst customer service around! Nobody is happy or helpful. They act like they do not have time to answer your questions or show you where products are. The only person that is pleasant is the greeter. I'm guessing it's probably bad management or something.. Started shopping Amazon just so I don't have to go there anymore!! Being new in town, I have a lot of shopping to do to replenish my cabinets. I visited Walmart today and found just what I needed, groceries and a Futon. At check out I went through the regular line to see if I could set up delivery because the Futon was so big and heavy. I would rather go to Pueblo than go to this Walmart. The staff is a bit cranky, Except for Ginger and Theo. They are always fun. Self check out is a bit cumbersome and glitches many times. Lazy employees, horrible customer service, horrible stock. I'm surprised this store is allowed to exist.

Aside from being a VERY poorly stocked store, I could not be more annoyed by having to purchase cosmetic items separately. This is SO inconvenient, time consuming, and shows a definite lack of concern for good customer service. This segregated area is so small there is barely enough room to take your cart with you. If there are more than 5 customers in there at one time, there's just no room to shop without being in someone's way or having them in your way. One of the worst aspects of this arrangement is that sales at the register in the cosmetics area are not limited to purchases from that department.....so if I want to purchase a cosmetic item, I am expected to stand in line while other customers purchase items not from that department, then I have to go stand in another line at the main registers to purchase the rest of my items! And, of course, there is ALWAYS a line to wait in up front, because there are never sufficient cashiers on any given shift. Earlier today, I was going to purchase one item in the cosmetics area, but was expected to wait while a customer with a half basket full of food approached from the store area and was being rung up. I put my item back and left. I will purchase my cosmetics from Walgreen's in the future. This is a BAD idea.....VERY poor customer service! read more
