Been coming to this Walmart for YEARS and I will say, it has definetly gotten better over the years. Visited on a Friday afternoon and saw that they have upgraded their store inside and couldnt have been more pleased. This store was STOCKED. No empty shelves anywhere, things were organized and neatly put away. Now some workers definitely did not care to help customers out but other than asking for a fitting room and getting no response, I didnt have any other complaints. Great selection of clothing, foods, shoes and anything school, car, gift related. Wouldn't mind coming back to this location if im ever in the area. read more

Avoid at costs. They don't have their shit together. The only reason it gets two stars is because I want to personally thank Jimmy in the orders to go/pick up department. He had great customer service and communication. He helped me get my order after waiting for 30 mins in my car. The order was also late from being picked. I want to add another 5 stars to this Walmart super center that I believe all staff deserve it. Though I don't always come here, but it's close to my doctor that I just paid a visit. The varieties are as many as the qualities are as good as many high scales stores. Everything is so organized and the place is super clean. The restroom is one I always visit to see about shops hygiene. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the fixtures are workable. Besides the hardwork of Walmart staff, I do hope customers do pay a part to keep the place and those shopping carts back in place without abusing them. I have asked a couple of different Walmarts in Charlotte and surrounding area and all have said we sod not have to receive a GIFT CARD, we can get our money back in cash or back on the card. I will be in contact with corporate or the next time Wilkinson offer me a gift I will be contacting an attorney. It should be fair all around not because this store is located in a on the Westside. Mt island offered me my money in cash or credit card. Change this policy or y'all are looking into a lawsuit in the near future! All the employees are so rude and need to be retrained! Cashiers, stockers, personal shoppers, deli workers and everyone is on their phones here! It's RIDICULOUS ‼Never once have I went to the Walmart on Sardis Rd and the cashiers are on their phones while ringing people up, just having casual conversations while ringing up customers. You can't go shopping here because every product is either already expired or expiring the next day. Supervisors and all top heads treat them employees like crap, disrespecting them in front of customers, arguing with them back and forth remove them unprofessional people. Go back to wearing uniforms because they guys with the pants hanging off their butts and the ladies dressed like they going to the club. All buggies need replaced, there is no way all the buggies messed up. Then let's get into the beauty section, where they think they're going to ring up one item back there, when I haven't even finished shopping. Cut the crap of stereotyping us because of that location. Why is there only 2 self checkout lanes open and 3 people on the register, wtf is the rest of the people you hired. This location has gotten so low, they don't even have a jewelry department, I guess we to poor! Quit allowing people who are not HANDICAP park in the lines and in the open little space beside the handicap parking! Start having those cars towed!!!! This Walmart is so dirty and sketch. They're shelves are always bare and a lot of their merchandise is still in totes that are lining the aisles of the store. And if you need assistance with anything that's locked up, forget it. They take forever or say they don't know how to do it and tell you to find someone else who can do it. Sucks that thief is such a huge problem here and that's why they have to lock everything up. Last time I was here, looks like they're undergoing some renovation. More self checkout, new layout and new signage. More self checkouts just mean less employees to help you when you need assistance. Plus why pay for employees to run the register when you can have your customers do it for free! read more

Crackhead panhandlers who lie to your face and sneak up on you in the dark that security can seem to do nothing about. Customer service that keeps banker's hours. Money Center that's often not open at all or closes early. Produce section that's always out of stuff or not fresh. They want us all to do self-checkout without any space to set the products down after we scan them. When you DO use assisted checkout because you have a disability or a full cart, they've shrunken all of the conveyor belts down so that you can't put much on them at a time. At least they finally bought a reasonable number of motorized carts, probably because they got threatened with an ADA lawsuit. "Quality of life" is becoming a joke in many parts of this country right now, and Wal-Mart is part of that. Aldi, here I come. read more

Hot mess. Literally everything from the parking lot, to the carts, employees and shelves. It seems like a hang out spot. People do not care especially the customers- where they park or if they are idling in a cross walk. Items are locked up (make-up, technology, ec) at this location. It's Walmart you know what to expect. It's convenient having everything you need in one space. However quality can sometimes be iffy. Very particular about what items I do get here. They are currently doing the park lot over so there is some backups/ confusion do to that but not to bad. They have remodeled the inside in the past couple of months apparently, looks very different inside. The employees are usually pretty kind that I have asked for in here. My biggest problem would be when I have come across multiple molded loathes of bread on the shelf of broken colors with products to be sold still in there! read more

There are better Walmarts in the US. I've been to dozens of them that are better. This one has issues with stock, with carts in the parking lot and with not having enough registers open. The store has gone through a remodel since I was here last and while the fixtures have been updated, the floors have been redone and the layout has been reorganized, the store still suffers from the same problems it had before. Well, to make this short, sweet, and concise, this is by far one of THEE WORST Walmarts I have been to PERIOD (actually, most of the Walmarts in CLT suck). 1) The store never has items in stock and if they are, it's out of place and incorrectly priced. 2) The staff makes you feel as if you are bothering them when you ask for assistance and that they are doing YOU a favor. In my mind I'm saying "you are getting paid for this"! 3) The store can't control this, but the other patrons and the overall area makes me feel unsafe. 4) The store's cleanliness is definitely WAaaaaY below average. I think the pictures say enough. We went a little before closing and there was only one register open for the rest of the customers, while I watched other workers lallygag and talk to each other. I needed medicine out of the cabinet and had to go find someone despite multiple people walking past and seeing I needed help. Then they suddenly disappeared! God forbid a Walmart worker(who doesn't even need to scan a person out anymore) does some actual work other than stocking shelves sloppily. Or not stocking in the case of this Walmart. I'll delete my review if they're new and just starting to stock. Or I'd they're going out of business, which would make more sense after last night. I went to Walmart Auto Care Center today to simply get a tire mounted that was purchased with this location also. A man by the name of Antwan gave very bad customer service, he was very lazy did not want to perform a simple service. First, he denied us saying they weren't doing anymore tires and it was 2:45pm then switched it come back in a hour. I then proceeded to do other errands until the one hour mark was over, once we pulled up he looked at the car and kept walking not even coming to acknowledge us. My boyfriend then proceeded to get out of the car to get his attention and his approach towards my boyfriend is not an appropriate for the business of Walmart. I don't think I'll be returning to this specific location, I'll be going to another location in which my money and time is valued and appreciated. read more

Went while in town to grab some items while in town and things for work. The lot was super crowded and people were driving all over the place. I went in for specific things and was able to get them quickly. There were a few lines open but a lot of people so it took awhile to get out. I did self checkout which was fine. Limited interaction with staff. The parking lot leaving had cars flying through like they were on the Main Street. I will probably try another location. Not because of the items or line. It was extremely busy and the people there were reckless I was able to get what I needed and in a timely manner. read more

Waited for someone to return a cart ask the young lady cart attendant if she was going to wipe down the cart, she stated no and pointed to the cleaning spray for me to do it myself. Unique look to the Walmart outside. Dropped in since I was closer to this location for a few groceries. I noticed this location didn't have as much variety as I'm use to. The wet cat food selection was slim and they didn't even carry the Friskies Concoctions line which my cat loves. Some stuff was out of stock although they had a lot of crew people working to replenish. Four star because it's Walmart so I got what I needed for the most part and every store's layout is different. The self checkouts are the only saving grace as there are always long lines at the few full service checkouts that are ever open. They have been installing locked cases across the store so one must press a button and wait for someone with a key to buy laundry detergent or under wear. Parking lot is trashy, decrepit, and sketchy. Always get asked for money in the store and walking to/from my car. Landscape is overgrown and weedy. I have placed a few pick up orders. Those do not fare any better. Too many substitutions since they are always out of items. Two stars is generous. As a corporation, Walmart would be better off bulldozing and redesigning this store. If shrinkage is so bad they must lock up the merchandise, then reduce the size of the store and the offerings, hire some employees and clean the place up. I had visited this place for the first time during the day. It wasn't a bad visit , I was in and out. I returned at night against my better judgment (sketchy location) with my daughter. In the parking lot leaving our car we were harassed by two different men asking for Money. In the store we could not get our items because it was locked and no associate around- the associate looked very busy and overwhelmed. Over worked and I do not blame them. The management there is aware of all these situations and really does not care- there is a police post in the parking lot. While I was trying to buy candles there were a group of men ( they seemed to be doing anything but buying candles) , blocking the isle.. All I can say is.. I will not be back here. read more

I went to the Walmart tonight and I needed something they had in a lock case. Therefore, it says to push the button for assistance. The button did not work in that area. I saw one employee and he said he could not help me that it was not his department and pointed to another worker and told me to go ask her. There was another gentlemen waiting with me so he chased after the employee. I then saw another employee walk by so I asked her for assistance her head was in her phone and she did not even look up and simply said "no" when I asked her if she could help and then ignored me when I asked if she could call someone who could help. So I have shopped here several times but this particular Walmart is not my favorite. I actually prefer the Belmont Walmart. But every now and then I find myself here. I actually got into a car accident, fender bender, a few years because the parking lot isles are one way and I wasn't used to that. They just updated the front of the store with these metal things. They were currently in use when I arrived but I guess they will be one day. Not sure if they have a theft problem. The shelves are typically stocked and a general overall cleanliness. I went to this Walmart to look for a particular wireless earbuds. The two individuals worked hard to find my item. I wish I got their names. The guy went to the back to look for it and when I came back from picking up my other items, he had them for me. I was able to check out in the electronics section and went about my way. This particular shopping trip was better than others but not enough that it deserved more stars. read more

It's always something going on in the parking lot. Drug transactions, DVD sales, pandering and guys trying to hit on you. I walked in one day and heard someone yell worldstar and I went the opposite way. I come to this store when I'm shopping for my mother when I'm here. It's not too far from her house. This area is coming up but this location is getting worse. I've seen fist fights, loud arguments and theft right in front of me. I ignore it and keep it pushing. Keep your purse close because this ain't the kind of place you leave anything unattended. That's true for anywhere but esp this place. The employees are always missing and if they are not they are on their phone. I called in to ask if they had something I was looking for. The person who answered left me on hold for quite awhile. Then they came back on the line and said I don't know what you are talking about. I asked to speak to the manager and they hung up on me. I called back and he hung up on me again. I had to go up there since I was getting nowhere on the phone. I ended up speaking to the same guy who hung up on me. I was visibly upset but he just laughed the entire time. I asked for the manger and the manager apologized on his behalf. He helped me find what I was looking for. He gave me a huge discount for the disrespect I encountered. I called corporate and they also apologized and notified the store. Btw I forgot to mention, while we were waiting on the manager he said "You think I give a f$&@ about this job, I have another job". I was so shocked all I could do was laugh out loud. I was so mad at first but the manager made up for it. This place is entertaining to say the least. Another funny thing I saw one day was two guys blasting two chainz on the stereo. The guy working in electronics told them to turn it down but they kept ignoring him. They actually turned the music up even louder and people around them were dancing. I walked away singing along and laughing on the inside. I almost died when I heard the disgruntled employee on the intercom yelling "security to electronics". Parking lot is always packed. The store is ok. Clean. Organized. The greeters and some of the employees are so sweet. I usually find what I need. But not after waiting for a long time in very long lines. There isn't enough lanes open and the self checkout registers are usually not working. I love the west side but this Walmart is not a good one. They need to fix it up and change it up a bit. The employees who obviously and rightfully so despise being there, seemed to be overworked, understaffed and in no rush to take care of anything. Then on the way out, I got stopped by a man aggressively seeking money. He put himself in between my door and the car so I couldn't close it. I told him I didn't have any money, so he asked me to double check. I found an old Walmart gift card that may or may not have had money left on it. This is a hood Walmart and I like that. When Jeezy is pumpin through the store and the electronics section looks like a club full of dancing people, you just have to love it. The store setup was different than most walmarts im used to, but I can always find what im looking for. Plus i usually just run in here for the essentials anyway. Greeters are always nice ( my dream job) and they check your receipt on the way out. This makes me reminisce of living in the hood in Jersey, though they would circle my total there. This place is never too busy so the lines usually only have one person in front of you. Thats a huge plus. The only thing that I agree with is that the cashiers are usually preoccupied with something else. Though I really dont care, im at wally world and I am just trying to get in and get out. *Update this place was " renovated". Which means they switched 3 aisles around. As USUAL, I was overcharged. Customers always check your receipts. They're making plenty of extra money from overcharging customers. They had the oranges advertised for 25 cent each, but they charged 74 cent each. Plus they advertised bananas for 29 cent a pound, but they charged 44 cent per pound. The cashier told me she couldn't override the price. I asked her to page a manager, she said wasn't able. When I asked her to get a manager, she said I would have to wait. I told her I would wait.
