0/5 stars. Went to grab some gardening supplies and during checkout the cashier was rude. Didn't say, "Hi, how are you doing?" And when we were done checking out and heading out the door. We were stopped by the greeter to check our items. As I was about to show her my receipt on the phone (WalmartPay) the greeter said to a black couple, "y'all can go." My husband and I seriously just looked at her (WTF?) and her excuse was that my potting soil wasn't in a bag. Felt really racist, the place was trashed, produce aisles are nasty. read more

I normally try not to review retail establishments, especially big name ones such as Walmart, but this place warrants one for the simple notion of some of the worst customer service I have EVER received from a place in my life. It was a normal stop in to grab a few things while in the area, should have taken 10 minutes, but I encountered an issue at self check and that 10 minutes turned into 30 with 20 of those spent waiting and getting a crappy attitude from the person who is there to "help". I would have fired her immediately for the way she treated me and for her general attitude. If she is reflective of what that Walmart offers in customer service then I want no part of it. An absolutely atrocious visit. I am not in the area often, but when I go back I will most certainly drive several miles out of my way to visit another retail establishment. read more

I agree with all of the negative comments. I took my daughter back to school and stopped into Walmart for 6 or 7 things. I asked her to Google the directions and after she pulled them up she said let's skip this and go to another place. That the reviews we horrible and I just laughed and said it's Walmart how bad can this experience be. We she was right it was scary!! I just stopped out of the car and within seconds someone was hitting me up for change then mumbled when I said no thanks. On the bench in front was an obvious homeless person. We now get inside the store and there are obvious street people pushing empty carts around and one was harassing a woman in the store. I told my daughter let's grab what we need and get the heck out of there. Never have I witnessed anything like this and shocked a place like this would not employ security. Walmart you need to keep an eye on this location. I'm not one to get all negative but if I lived around here I would never shop in this location. I only gave this two stars because it is close to home. On May 17th around 5:00 pm I was with my boyfriend as he was looking for boots for work. There were other gentlemen in the area too looking for work boots. I was holding my daughter and standing off to the side. A Walmart employee, an older woman comes over and says that she's already fixed the boxes of shoes and doesn't want to have to do it again with attitude on 100. I'm stunned. Everyone around just looks at her and someone says something smart and she turns around like she's ready to fight. Hold up tho... Putting things up is YOUR JOB. People not putting things back in their proper places is what is giving you job security. What? I know people have bad days but to talk to customers the way she did was totally uncalled for, especially when everyone looking are ADULTS. I HATE using words like ghetto to describe this Walmart because many non black people use it because it's in a predominately black area with predominately black employees but look... It's ratchet. It's disorganized. It's dirty. Many of the employees don't care and it shows. I will say I have interacted with some really great employees but sadly it is few and far between. Just because this is a Walmart in an urban area shouldn't mean customers are talked to any kind of way. Many of us come in and don't bother anyone or try to start fights for World Star. We want to get in and out as quickly as possible because who wants to be hounded by people needing money or selling their mixtapes in the parking lot? If employees at this location aren't getting customer service training on the regular, it should start soon or the number of fight videos from this location are going to go up. Visit the Walmart in Mountain Island if you can and just avoid this one. Against my better judgement went back to this shit hole before the snow storm. I got charged for 7 bottles of wine when I only purchased/wanted/took Home 1 bottle of wine. Called them of course there's nothing no one can do over the phone I have to go back to this shit hole which isn't any where near my home to get a refund. Do not expect to get your order! They suck. I ordered a tv from Walmart. I received several texts messages and emails confirming the order and confirming the expected delivery date. When the TV was not delivered per the communication, I called customer care 3x. The first time they advised the are not sure why Walmart sends the notice of a 48-hour delivery time knowing that is not accurate and confirming it should be processed within 48 hours and delivered the following 1-2 business days. That did not happen. I called again, and customer service advised the delivery was cancelled but they were able to assign another driver. The new driver was assigned, and Walmart advised it will be delivered the same day. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. I received the new delivery driver contact info. When I reached out the driver confirmed Walmart cancelled the order due to not having what I needed. I called Walmart AGAIN and they advise that was not true. At this point I gave up and allowed the process to take some time. Yesterday I received a text, and it confirmed Walmart finally processed my order. Today I received another email and text apologizing and confirming my order has been cancelled! What a shit show. With false advertisement and their inability to keep expectations. I am disgusted at the lack of professionalism by Walmart. I will be leaving reviews on every platform that I can think of until someone one with authority personally reaches out to explain what happened. read more

This is the worst walmart I have ever been to. They have stuff out of place and can't tell you the price on anything. All there registers are 20 items or less. The no customer service is everywhere. Turns out they close at 11, not midnight. Only tried to go to a Walmart because it was the only thing open when I arrived in charlotte and they suck so much they can't get their hours right online. Funny thing is, on a previous trip down I had to get some ATF at 11:25 and was able to shop here. Something's fishy! This walmart is a nightmare for me. I used to work in the area, and would come in for some items early before work and had no major issues. One day i decided to come in AFTER work. A whole new story. A fight broke out,people were yelling at each other. There was a security guard on every aisle seems like. This is not a kid / family friendly store at all. I suggest going when they first open. This store is a wreck. Clearance merchandise all over the place and missing prices. It's a beautiful store, they better get control of the maintenance issues or it won't be for long. Now the people were friendly and surprisingly they had several registers open. I saw the store manager a couple of time when I was in there. She could not take her eyes off her phone. This location is technically in the "bad" part of town but the store itself should not mimic the town . I live very close by so i go here at least once every other week . Every time i have gone it has looked completely trashed . You have to step around things everywhere witch is a company hazard itself. It is very obvious that the staff is very careless and rude . I was getting strawberries and they were not priced just like everything else in produce and i asked an associate how much they were and he just said i don't know . Not let me find out for you or ask someone else . Another example of associates not doing there job Is the fact that I've been in there to get gluten free bread and each time I've gotten it it has been molded . It was expired by a few months . Every person working there looks like they hate there job . They are not friendly at all . Not helpful at all. And plain out RUDE ! SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE OPTICAL DEPARTMENT...Thank you Rick and Dennis! My experience began with a call to Walmart vision department. The phone was promptly answered by an optical employee named Rick Fagg. He was pleasant, quite courteous and ask how he might help. I shared with him that I was on a mission to find solar optical clip on's for my glasses. He was given style number and then stated he would check and be right back. True to his word, in a flash he was providing good news... Yes, they had these in stock and he would be happy to hold a pair for me. When I arrived, I was greeted by Rick and Dennis and sure enough, my solar clip sunglasses were in Rick's hands. He assisted me with opening the case, whereby I donned my sunglasses and they were perfect! We then began speaking about frames, new developments within the lens industry and before you know it, I was requesting a quote for new glasses. Rick not only exhibited superb listening skills, but he was also extremely knowledgeable about his product lines. Interestingly, because of ocular changes, I am needing new lenses. And, guess what, based on my interactions with Rick and Dennis I have now been "wowed" by Walmart vision center and will purchase my next pair of glasses from these folks. Worst. Walmart. Ever. Waited 30 minutes in 'Pick Up' area to get an online purchase and no one ever came even though I rang the customer assistance button multiple times. One employee saw me waiting and even paged over the store intercom for someone to come assist. Still no one showed up. I had to leave the store without my pre-paid purchases. Fortunately customer service refunded my purchase over the phone. Never coming back to this garbage dump again. Just 10 minutes from home but I so dislike to do my shopping there... you can't return, only exchanges from same departments, it's so ridiculous... most of the staff is rude plus there is about 16 cash registers and only 2 o 4 open. They said that they would send someone to open the Garden so I could look at the plants, but only one guy was in the area, I had waited 10 mins before I realized he was the guy. and so I waited for another 10 mins. I gave up. I asked a lady if the garden was open. She, with a look like my 5th grade teacher, told me they close it at 9. Too bad when you are willing to buy that you can't get in. I rarely ever patronize any Wal-Mart and my experience today is the reason why. I went to this location today for an oil change and tires. I arrived at 4:27pm and got signed in. At 6:30pm I went back outside to check the status and discovered my car was still sitting in the same spot it was when I arrived. I ended up cancelling the oil change, although 2 of the 3 bays were empty at this point, and opting for tires only. My sales receipt has a timestamp of 7:31pm. The employees there have ZERO sense of urgency and even less professionalism or work ethic. I can count on 1 hand how many times I've been in this store and can count on 1 hand (using no fingers) how many times I will patronize this store in the future. It's super frustrating to know you just want to run in and pick something up and it takes you 20 plus minutes to just be checked out. I walked into the customer service area. I stood there observing at least six employees standing talking not even acknowledging Me for at least a minute. Then when one of them got tired of talking with her co workers she strolled over to the register and says next person, by that time there was three people in line. I walk to the counter and she says how can I help you. I told her I needed to return my item. The whole time I'm talking to her one hand has lotion in it while the open lotion container is on the counter. She scans my receipt hands me my change and just looks at me. So I just walk off. I recently ordered toys for family members after Christmas online at www.walmart.com. I sent the items to the store for pickup. All of my items were delivered but I was only able to pickup half of the order. After going back and looking at the delivery signatures, the same person signed for all the packages but two children's watches are missing. When I called the store to inquire, I was told I can get a refund and reorder. Why would I reorder the same items that appear to be stolen? Now I have to wait 5-7 days to get a refund. I will not be ordering anything else from Walmart.com. read more

I'm forcing myself to write this review partially to punish myself for even going to this Wal-Mart in the first place. So in an attempt to buy a cheapish HDTV after two failed attempts with Amazon (that's a whole 'nother story, but this is about Wal-Mart not about Amazon's horrible packaging or UPS's questionable handling), I decided to try Wal-Mart and this one is closest to my house. We go in and find a couple of tv's we are interested in. We snap pics of barcodes plus brand/model and head towards the in-department cashier. They only have the floor models out - you have to get someone to help you get the actual television(s) from somewhere else. There are several employees milling about and a couple of customers kinda being helped. A woman sees us and comes over and we tell her that we want to check to see if the two tv's we had narrowed it down to are in stock. We start walking together and as soon as we take a few steps a big manager-ish guy comes over and reroutes her to ring some other people out. She tells him she was about to help us and asks him to take over, which he tells her he will. Then he immediately walks off in another direction. Some guy (who seems to know big manager guy but is not an employee) steps up to him and pulls him over and they start talking and chuckling. My boyfriend interrupts him and tells him we need help. He glances at us, tells us he will get someone who 'actually works in the department' to help us and walks over to the group of employees including the woman who was initially helping us who is now surrounded at the cash register and 3-4 employees who don't appear to be doing anything useful. In the midst of this, another guy steps into the area and asks big manager guy to help him find something and he sends an employee with that guy. After 3-4 minutes of just standing there watching employees do nothing and watching the manager not manage, me and my man ditch our cart and walk away. It was probably the most useless in-store experience I've ever had. We drove over to the Metropolitan Target, where we were actually asked if we needed help and we immediately found one of the tv's we had picked out at Wal-Mart. The extra $10 that tv cost was well worth it for the lack of f*ckery experienced, ease of purchase and actual customer service. Thanks, Target! read more

Ordered a TV using the in store pickup option. I should have just gone to the store hoping there was one on the shelf. Instead, I ordered at 8pm on a Saturday night. Got email saying it would be ready in 4 hours. Came at 9am the next day and I have been here for almost 38 minutes. I have seen and spoken to no fewer than 10 people on my wait who ask if I've been helped and someone finally came out to tell me they don't have one in Stock. Great. The website said you had three in Stock and because I didn't want to go through this hassle I ordered it for pick up. I met not one person in this store worthy of an hourly wage anywhere near $15 an hour. What I did hear repeatedly was 'this isn't my department ' and 'have you been helped'? Then the guy asked if I wanted a refund, I said yes and he disappeared. Finally some dump named Tammy comes out and gives me an attitude. Then explains she is trying to be a woman and acts like she is going to get management to make me leave. I just wanted my money back and no more of my time wasted. If Walmart intends to beat Amazon at retail they need to overhaul this whole process. It shouldn't take an hour to prepay for an item only to not be sold it and given grief when your lazy worthless employees don't do their job.
