I received a formal offer letter and start date from the hiring team. After that, I was told my background check through First Advantage needed additional processing time. That process took nearly three weeks. During that time, I stayed in consistent contact. The final week, communication stopped completely. No updates. No clear answer. No start date. I had already left my previous job based on the written offer. It has now been over a month and a half. I am currently behind on rent and bills because I relied on a position that never materialized. When I called for clarification, I was told the manager who handled my onboarding is no longer with the company. Since then, my calls have not been returned. If a company chooses not to move forward with a candidate, that is their decision. But professionalism requires communication. A clear yes or no shows respect for someone's time and livelihood. I'm sharing this to highlight the importance of accountability and transparency in hiring. I am actively seeking new opportunities in sales or leadership in the Rock Hill or Charlotte area and am ready to contribute immediately.

Stopped by the check out the men's wear at this Belk. This section of the store was in pretty good…read morecondition with the merchandise mostly neatly stacked and well stocked. I have to wonder about a few of the mannequin outfits (orange tie on a blue shirt?) and some of the rather odd colored sportscoats. But that's today's fashion, right? Prices were a little on the high side but consistent with what I would expect in a department store. I did see quite a few associates about including at the register.

Early morning stop to fill up the RV with gas before starting the journey. The station is clean…read morewith no trash on the ground. The pumps are easily accessible with a high cover and wide area. That's important for me as I'm driving a big vehicle. The station has a traffic light at Dave Lyle Blvd and that makes it super easy to cross this busy road and get right to the onramp for the highway. Circle K does good coffee with a grind-to-order machine that pours right into the cup. Fresh and they have a hazlenut. I'm pleased with my visit today and I will return. Good sizes, good colors. Sneakers, boots, dressy shoes. Prices seemed to be about average, with a "buy one, second half off" sale going on. Aisle are currently clear of stock cart with exception to end of asile in back, and the back aisle toward stock room. I'm not completely sure, but aisle seem narrower. Registers are now to left of entrance. Looks like could be an issue for customer trying to check out, standing and blocking others from going around aisle. The store looks cleaner. Overall it is presently nicer, but will it stay like this? Let's hope so.

Not only has Sherwin-Williams quality gone down substantially over the years... but the customer service truly sucks! I've been in the remodeling business for over 15 years, my painters have notoriously used Promar 400, without any issues. So when I ordered that specific type of paint for my clients how would I have assumed there will be any issues?, I was shocked to see how watery and terrible it was!! 9 gallons later bought and paid for--I took it to my clients and imagine 4 coats later it took to get any of the color to even adhere to the white walls, they were attempting to paint!! The clients finally gave up and called the manager, Steve, who said bring in the paint and we will give you a refund. Since these are my clients, I drove 43 minutes back to your "friendly" neighborhood Sherwin Williams store on Cherry Road in Rock Hill...and brought in only 8 gallons for what was promised to be a Full Refund for my clients. Instead, I was told by Mr: PonyTail/Beard Man... "Sorry about your luck, you purchased the crappiest paint we have, so it is what it is." There was NO offer to exchange this "crappy" product nor even to meet me halfway towards a refund after I spent close to $400 on it! The Ponytail guy who was once nice enough to carry the paint to my car the day I spent $400 on those "crappy" products couldn't have been more of a jerk as I carried 8 paint gallons back to my car once again, Steve, his manager, refused to take any of the items back!! Truly, the customer service here-um...what customer service...absolutely sucks not to mention their products! What these morons don't get, is that customer service moment WAS NOT about THE ONE TRANSACTION! That moment was about the fact that these guys, one, wouldn't stand behind their products they sell, and two, didn't take the time to educate the consumer-that would be me- about what type of paint grade I should buy for my clients and why! How did I know the formula was now a watered down garbage-like paint labeled as Promar 400 or as the employee stated the "crappiest" grade of paint we sell!??? Because I am a business owner; I understand everything that is relative to my future business prospering is about relationship building and educating my consumer NOT about saving a few bucks. Perhaps Sherwin-Williams should get a clue and start offering a dose of customer service 101 because they are definitely deficient and are missing that! Are they not aware there's something called competition out there where we the consumers can choose to go other places and actually buy our paint somewhere else? Welcome to America!

Encore and Shoe…read moreShow Megastore - but only Shoe Show and Shoe Dept Encore have operations in the Rock Hill Galleria. I stopped into the latter, Shoe Dept. Encore and looked around. Men's shoes here include sneakers, comfy, work shoes and boots. No holes in the stock, the shelves were completely full. Store was tidy and no trash or boxes on the floor. Promotional materials were out of the way. Prices were clearly displayed and the stuff I looked at seemed to be decently priced. I liked that they had two separate areas for "husbands" to sit and watch television. Comfy chairs.

I take my son to Shoe Dept/Shoe Show in Rock Hill. The store is always clean, the employees are…read morefriendly and very helpful. I go to this store specifically because my son wears a size 15 shoe, which is extremely hard to find in most stores. The larger sizes are marked with bigger tags and the size, which is a nice touch so we don't have to open every box and search for shoes that fit him. We have never left the store empty handed! If we find his size shoe in other stores they normally have 1-2 pairs of shoes, if we are lucky! Shoe Dept/Shoe Show usually has 15(+) choices for my son to look at and try on. Due to a medical issue he must try them on in person, we cannot buy them online. It's nice to find a store such as Shoe Dept/Shoe Show that actually gives my son options!
