I went early on a Sunday morning. I like to beat the crowds and usually you can get in/out much quicker. I admit, I don't know the floor layout of this store like I do H&T where I usually shop so sometimes it takes me a little longer. My Son asked me to pick up some items here so I did. I was looking for the Panera Bread branded soups. I know they have them because I've bought them at other Publix stores like Indian Land and Fort Mill. I asked a lady behind the deli counter if she could help me. She reluctantly said 'what do you need'? That was the first indicator this lady didn't want to be there or she just had a 'tude. I told her what I was looking for and she said 'I've never seen them here'. When I told her I had purchased them there before she responded with 'well, if you don't see it out there, we either don't have it or we are out'. What she was saying, without saying it is she didn't know and she really didn't care. I just shook my head and said 'OK' and walked away. Then she said 'I hope you have a nice day'. Oh, she coulda said anything else. So I cruised around and finally found them on the top shelf of the section where they keep the brewed tea in gallon containers. I picked out what I needed and then walked over and showed her I had them. She just looked at me without speaking. I smiled and said 'I hope you have a nice day'.

It's a little smaller than my regular store, or maybe it has a larger inventory, and just feels more crowded. Layout was the same and I'm thankful for that. Quickly found what I needed. Prices are comparable to my regular store in another state. Shelves looked stocked and produce looked fresh. No problems finding an available cashier. Also employees are visible if you need help. Parking lot can be a bit of a nightmare as spaces are tight and it's shared by other businesses. Good experience tho, and I'm glad I didn't have to wander around to find what I needed.

It's so easy to use the CostCo app and see exactly what the current price is. If you're not a member, you should consider it. They have so many opportunities to SAVE $. I've been a Gold member for years and recently switched to be come an Executive Member. Having the one hour early access is really nice so you can avoid the long lines and make sure you get what you came for. It's nice getting in early because you can cruise the various aisles and see exactly what they have. Sadly, they don't have any signs on the end of the aisles to let you know what's down that LONG. You just have to go down it and check it out. After a while, you learn what's where. I was disappointed to learn they were closed on Memorial Day Monday but after thinking about it, I believe it's a good policy for their employees. The seem to do a good job of selection and hiring. I've noticed they don't seem to have much turnover as I see familiar faces every time I go. Today, I tried the 'self check-out' for the first time. I made the mistake of putting me OWN bag I brought in the bagging area and of course the machine lost it's mind and had to call an attendant to come over and clear the machine.

The station has a traffic light at Dave Lyle Blvd and that makes it super easy to cross this busy road and get right to the onramp for the highway. This clean and efficient gas station is the new standard for convenience stores. Brightly lit, well stocked, reasonably priced, CLEAN and with associates who can actually speak English in a friendly manner. Love the QT. Hot dogs look like maybe they haven't been sitting on the rollers for hours. Coolers are well stocked with cold drinks. And the gas pumps actually have squeegees and liquid for cleaning windshields. I told the cashier (Ed, I think he said) I would go get the person who was actually wanting the alcohol and have him come inside to purchase it (he was the Designated Driver & wanted to be able to drink once we were back home in NC). He was smoking while I tried to get the drinks so we could hurry up and get home since kids were in the car and very tired, as was I. So, I tapped on the glass to get the attention of my cousin who was smoking out by the car and pointed to the alcohol to sign "hey, I don't have my id" and motioned for him to come inside to pay for it. As I approached the register to sit the alcohol down on the counter and let 'Ed' know that someone would come inside to pay for it, I hear Walter on the phone with the police telling them that he needs them to come to the store because I stole the alcohol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What!? Are you freaking kidding me.....? WTAF.....? I explained to Walter that he had just heard me explain to the cashier what I was doing and that I could not believe he actually called the police on me. To this day I am still appalled! This young punk has no business working in customer service! They definitely cannot gauge someone's age correctly! I have a daughter who is 19 years old in College! And although very flattering, I haven't been carded in 12 years. Out of principle, I left the alcohol sitting there and none of us... myself, my husband, my aunt nor my two cousins will EVER shop at another QT again!
