I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had at the Walmart store regarding a missing payment transaction. I made a payment at the store, and later discovered the funds were never properly applied. After multiple trips back and forth, several phone calls, and hours of stress, I am still waiting for my money to be located and returned. What made the situation worse was the lack of professionalism and customer service from management and staff. I spoke with employees and supervisors including Paul and Crystal, and instead of receiving reassurance or real assistance, I was met with dismissive attitudes, little urgency, and very limited knowledge on how to handle the situation. One manager simply told me to call "1-800-Walmart" and walked away. For a company this large, customers should not be treated as though their concerns are an inconvenience. I also contacted Green Dot and my credit card company, and both stated they could not see the transaction on their end. Meanwhile, Walmart advised me the payment was somehow "in limbo," but no one could clearly explain what that meant or provide a timeline for resolution. This involved nearly $500 -- not a small amount of money. The most frustrating part is that I still do not have my funds back. Customers should not have to investigate their own missing payments while store management appears confused about the process. Walmart seriously needs better training for supervisors and customer service staff on handling payment issues, transaction investigations, and customer communication. read more

Don't let the name fool you. It's not all that super. Walmart of Davenport didn't really have anything that I needed. it's huge and the employees are fairly friendly but the stock is lacking a little bit. They didn't have my chocolate milk. They didn't have any decent shirts that I wanted. A couple of other areas were lacking. I'm not a big fan of Walmart but this one is okay. Other than the jerks in the parking lot. read more

It is a rare occasion I have a great experience at Walmart. This evening was an exception to the rule. Zachary and I arrived. We were treated by several staff who had genuine smiles. We completed our shopping and went through the checkout line. When Mariah totaled us up, we were $0.33 short. I stream of embarrassing us over our failure to budget, she reached behind her register and pulled $0.33 and paid the balance of our order. Her kindness is greatly appreciated. Score for Walmart. I purchased some Halloween decorations on 10/4/21. I did not use it and needed to return it. However, the customer service associate was not allowed to return my items because it was after Halloween. I was given no notice anywhere that Walmart would not accept returns after Halloween. No one told me and nothing was put in writing. One month after purchasing and I am stuck with these items and out of that money. It's probably not up to this store, but it is a frustrating unwritten policy that is a waste of time and money. read more

I spoke with many people at Walmart and I can NEVER get a consistent answer. I ask 2 associates 1 question and I got 20 maybe answers. I explained to Jim I've spent well over $1,000 with my moving into a new home and having to get house hold items. Either way, no compassion for the situation. I have the receipt but no package, and I'm will to swap for a the product. All in all you get what you pay for at mayo-mart. My best advice is go to target where every worker brushes their teeth, and takes showers on a regular basis. Also, it's one thing to remodel sections of the store, but why everything at once?? The way she spoke to SEVERAL employees, was awful. She reacted to them rather than responded, and a few employees as I was walking out complained working for "Walmart". Half of the staff is very friendly and helpful, the other half ignored me completely (I am white) but not my wife (she is black). This happened several times during two long visits when traveling through Davenport. At one point four employees hung around a black customer instead of attending to me or other waiting customers. read more

There are a "few" really GREAT people that have worked there for a long time that will help you & are friendly. The majority could care less about helping you find something. They walk right by you when it's obvious you need help, they don't say hi can I help you, nothing! I've seen them while their stocking a shelf talking on their cell phone, really @ work? Today I hit my limit of BS in this place, a violent man was threatening a woman right by the entrance, (@ the self checkout area) the greeter by the front door just sat there, no one called 911, there's NO security, nothing. The greeter turned around to see what was going on & did NOTHING. It was frightening, I hurried & got out of there, he was screaming @ her. DO SOMETHING! if your shoppers don't feel safe shopping there they will go elsewhere. They also are NOT restocking the shelves the past couple of months of common items, big gaps on shelves. They say a truck comes in every night, then why did I check 3 times in 2 weeks for crackers & they're still not stocked, (no tag says out of stock either). For a store that allegedly has a truck come in every night, why are the shelves barren all week? Vegetables & fruits are rotten & not thrown away, bins of common fruits & veggies, empty. If you go here, expect empty shelves, and no security, be careful & GET OUT asap when you see a customer becoming violent. It's like a nut house in there. Store 5115. Mgr. Norman Merrill, I have shopped since opened. At about 315AM on 12/22/2019 I went to purchase toiletries after my work out at Anytime Fitness. Being close to Christmas I wanted to avoid crowds. I needed a tub of Noxema (3.97) that area of the store that is barricaded. It includes shaving stuffs. I assume it is because cosmetics is in the area. An employee let me in to get it and quickly put it in a security box. Keep in mind the Equate dandruff shampoo I got cost more however it was accessible on the counter. Telling me they are not supposed to do let anyone access to Noxema? I went to the self check outs as it is only ones open. I was the ONLY person using the checkouts. A greeter covering checkouts took my Noxema out of the box. She was all the time 4 feet from me as I checked myself out. I paid using my debit card and put receipt in my pocket. All the $20 worth of lunch meats, pkg. salad, mouthwash, shampoo and Noxema fit into 2 plastic bags. (3:45) I stared to leave then that employee same employee who was there asked to see my sales receipt. I refused to show it and told her to have me arrested with the stuff I bought. I left and drove home. I was not arrested yet? Waiting for the PD to knock on my door. having been in retail management most theft is internal. I guess in the future I will go to the east end Walmart on Elmore Ave. I can even buy cashews there as they are not barricaded. read more

Worst experience yet. I went in to get a nail pulled out of my drivers side rear tire. Upon getting my truck back I noticed a valve stem cover missing that didn't get replaced. I also said something about my tire pressure monitoring system was telling me that my passenger rear tire was @ 18 pounds. The response I got was that I need to drive it around and it will reset. So I did to no avail. I went back and told them it was still on and they looked it over and told me that in the 20 feet it took to drive from one side of the building to the other my sensor went out. So my $10 nail pull and patch has turned into a $100 repair bill now. Thanks Walmart for costing me more money. If I can find it somewhere else I'm for sure gonna get it there and not Walmart. read more

I wish zeros could be given. This is the worst Walmart yet. I took my car in to have a tire changed. No one seemed to know how to change a tire. No one knew how to write up an order. The first guy looked at it like he didn't know what a tire was so he put it down and walked off a different direction. It took an hour before the next guy would look at it. He couldn't see where the leak was just by looking at it so he asked me where it was. Later someone asked me if I wanted to keep the rim. They took off and did something for the next customer but didn't help them either. They asked me finally but before they tried to find the flat, if I wanted a new tire. Then that person did not wait for an answer I got the store assistant manager who walked to the dept and shot the bull with an employee forever then told me what I already knew. It was going to be another 2 hrs or more. An employee from another dept asked the manager for help and she told them it was my fault she couldn't help the person. This is the worst Walmart I have ever seen, and I have been around the country to see a lot. read more

The pharmacy is horrible! Went in at 1:30 and was told they were closed. My husband and I walked out of the store and he called the pharmacy to see why it was closed (because online it says they are open till 7) and the WHOLE pharmacy closed down to go on break. I work at 5, I need my medication today! Freaking ridiculous to have a full pharmacy staff on break at the same time. read more

This Walmart gives WALMART a bad name. They should just hang a banner over the store that says "Walmart hates West Davenport." Long lines, no stock -- today they ran out of shopping baskets! (And it wasn't very busy) If they can't do better than this, they should just close this location. I'll be driving to East Davenport from now on anyway. top ten reasons not to shop at this location. 1. anytime they get a big shipment to display of a sale item, they leave the shelf empty of smaller lower cost packaged items. 2. they lock the doors to one end of the store. 3. they only turn on a couple checkout lanes clear at the opposite end of the store from the unlocked doors at night. 4. they have no customer service at night even though they are open 24 hours. 5. they consistently are out of stock on many items in every department and blame it on their system. just order the damned item so i can buy it i dont care about the system. they usually refuse and a second trip elsewhere to shop is required. 6. when the only open checkout lanes are backed up it takes a miracle and a long wait to see more registers opened while managers stand talking in the background doing nothing. 7. most workers have no knowledge of any products you ask about. 8. most workers will say sorry cant help not my area and keep on walking. 9. to check out takes a miracle at times and a very very long wait if a price check is needed or a manager is needed. usually there is not one without a very long wait. 10. this store looks like a warzone after any holiday or even weekend at certain times of the month. if you expect increased sales and shoppers during these times, order enough product and schedule enough workers to keep shelves stocked and the store looking orderly. we have labeled this location the ghetto warzone store. #1 reason to shop here? bring a camera, if you are seeking peopleofwalmart.com photos. you will find quite a few opportunities. read more

I went in a while ago to get some paint for my house and I literally could not get someone to help me. No one was near the counter and I had to go to the automotive department to ask for help. They paged repeatedly for me and no one came. After waiting over 20 minutes I called the store to ask if They could send someone back and let them know how long I had been waiting. I called the store about it twice before someone actually showed up. Then we found out that their machine hadn't been working. So we wasted all that time and no one told us that we couldn't have gotten paint anyway. We went to guest services to ask to speak to someone and the manager who came up just didn't care. To say the least I won't be getting paint there ever. Ended up at Menards and the person in the paint department was fantastic. Wal-Mart is good and cheap for some groceries or a quick supply run but if you need actual help Its not the place to go. read more

I will never go back to this auto place again. The men were rude & just ignored me the whole time I was there. (Probably because I was a woman). Anyway, they kept talking to this man who came in before me telling the mechanic the whole seranaro about his car, that the guy could write a book about it, Then I asked the two other men working there & they said sorry you'll have to talk to that man over there, well I told them that man over there has been talking to that customer for quite some time. Before I drove away one of the men said I think I can take a look at your car now after I stood there for about 20 minutes being ignored the whole time, then I said no that's okay, I'll take my business elsewhere & that's what I did & guess what?
