I didn't feel safe at this Walmart. There was a homeless person camped by the can return area muttering under his breath and seemingly following people. There were people with Loud cars, loud music, driving around really fast in the parking lot. We were staying at a close hotel and I ran in just for a few things, but I was a little concerned after dark. I want to compliment an associate Bri from the meat department. I had asked three associates if they carried lard. i know it is not a popular item . They were courteous but had never heard of it. I saw Bri and asked her. She looked it up and walked me over to the correct aisle. She was so friendly and helpful. I had about given up. She even knew the Spanish word for lard. Chaotic layout, felt like a Goodwill store everywhere I went, staff seemed worn out and underpaid which I'm sure reflects the overall Walmart employee. This is a failure on every metric. Unfair price gouging on most items, curiously limited brand options compared to other stores, and only the checkout offered something decently modern and proper. read more

I placed an online pickup order and was notified the order was ready, so TRIED to pick up my order. I called the number and no one was available to take my call and the Mail box was full, so I went in the store and ask the greeter about picking up an order. she said she didn't think I could pick up inside the store but advised me to check with customer service. customer service had three ladies behind the counter visiting each other and I was never acknowledged. Maybe Walmart should take a page from Target. I can pick up in the store or wait in my vehicle at Target. read more

Went to this Walmart to pick up a few items. I don't normally attend Walmart's - I'm a Target kind of girl but this was the closest to my grandmothers house in Peoria. I got diapers and wipes (greatly priced), breakfast food and a chocolate Christmas candy apple which was 50% off because it was an after Christmas purchase... this made me super happy :) and the apple was wonderful! The store was pretty clean and everything was as expected at the Walmart. The reason for the 4 stars is... when I got to the cash register, one of the ladies said, "there is no wait on isle 6." So I went over and no one was there, I then heard the lady yell at the young lady who was supposed to be at the register and the young lady was reluctant to come ring me up because she was busy talking with another guy that worked there on the next line over... she came but made a sassy joke about it... it was a bit unprofessional but that's sadly what I expect at a Walmart so it didn't tick me off too bad. read more

This is your normal Walmart. It's always a 3 stars unless there's something great or something below average. Well, today I received below average service at the checkout and had to keep pushing against an aggressive internet salesperson. The internet sales people I can overlook because they're on commission. I just don't like someone questioning me with "You mean to tell me that you don't know who your internet provider is?" Would be nice if when I talk to someone on Monday and they give me an appointment to put on tires (that I already paid Walmart for) at 5:00 Wednesday that they would be there. I left work at 4:30 to get there by 5. Was there before 5. I get there and they have a sign saying they are sorry but will be there in the morning. Door is locked. Even called and no answer in Auto Center. Why did I bother buying tires from them if nobody wants to put them on? I even checked and had no message on my phone trying to reschedule again. I know they have the number because they called Monday to reschedule because they wouldn't be there when I made the 1st appointment. Should I even bother with a 3rd appointment? Came to the auto center at noon. Service/customer door was locked. Staff eating lunch. Waited in lot for the "lunch break to be over. After 115pm another customer who had been waiting started to bang on the door - (several cars and people waiting in the lot). They opened the customer door - we all strolled in and the manager (?) informed us (and the other customers he was "all booked up" for the day and not taking "anymore". Why not at least put a note on the door stating such? Wasted 1 1/2 hrs of my time. Very poor customer service. read more

A pretty dang top notch Walmart! I just moved to Peoria from Chicago, and I wasn't expecting much from the older looks of the how side. However, I was pleasantly surprised! Wow- this Walmart has everything! It's not only a super Walmart location with groceries, but it seems to me they have even more items than a regular Walmart? More obscure little odds and ends. Either that, or it's just really neatly organized- another plus I noticed! Only con: All strawberries were nasty. I'm sure crops aren't the best this year, but really guys- check more often for mold! This review is for the walmart at 401 River Road in East Peoria Illinois. On 3/7/18 , I went to this walmart for the advertised High Mileage oil change for only 35.88 . After waiting about 20 minutes they informed me that they did not carry the high mileage oil in the back, but they could get the oil from the bottles in the store. at a higher price. They also said the same thing about the oil filter. WTF. The service cost me over 50.00 . This is False Advertising. If they don't carry the oil , they should not advertise it as being a bargain. They should make this right but I doubt it. Should have gone to a garage. will NOT be back. read more

We love our Pekin, Illinois Walmart. Customer service is polite and as efficient as is possible under some of the customer situations they face. We absolutely love being able to order our groceries and other products online and then pick up at a timeframe we choose! Walmart hit the ball out of the park with this service. It is a huge time saver for people trying to find more time to do other things. We have always had great service at our Walmart. Finding someone to assist us when we were in the store was not a problem. Yes, sometimes we had to walk around the isles to locate an employee, but it was never a long search for us. The employees for the most part do their very best to help those that need help. Our hat is off to those employees that we have witnessed dealing with a difficult customer with great patience and calm words. Thank you Walmart for providing us with the outstanding order online grocery/products service and we thank the employees for their efforts to offer great customer service. read more

We went to the auto care center at 9 am to 2 tires and have them mounted. The customer service person was so incredibly rude and unprofessional. She told us we would have at least a 4 hour wait, and that they don't take appointments. She rolled her eyes and sighed at us several times. The mechanic and the other customer service person were great and did an excellent job. it did indeed take 41/2 hours to put on 2 tires! It's a shame they don't take appointments, there are so many other places that do! read more
