We were needing a day out and decided to go to the mall. The mall had some very unique stores and some vintage store that I had not been to in a while. I remember when this Mall was one of the best around.. I worked at Coach House Gifts in the mid 90's and back then, this Mall had it all.. Now it's trashy, and ghetto-fied.. You seriously sometimes want to "carry" going in there.. Oh wait, the thugs do that already.. Poor Security, stores are leaving left and right.. The Round One is a joke.. This is a Simon Mall and I think it's fared a lot better than some malls that opened in the 1970s. Currently there are not a lot of empty stores. There are plenty of clothing stores for the teens and three department stores. The food court isn't as great as some malls, but keep in mind you have good eats at Smo-King Pit near Sears and Didoughs is good for a quick pretzel sandwich. read more

Northwoods has a handful of stores that are trendy and are young males and females. (16-30). Stores like Express, Victoria Secret's, and Aerie are popular. One of my friends told me that this is considered the "old mall". The other mall, Grand Prairie, is considered the "new mall". I think this mall is good for casual shopping, not heavy duty shopping sprees. Northwoods is good for light shopping with a few friends when you just want to have fun. read more

If you want a real review from someone local be sure to pay close attention to this matter and I will make you believe every word written. The ones who say that this mall is all so great! Which it was but it isn't no more. I personally have been numerous situations with being harassed by the security guards of this place and since the local news report of the huge fight that went on a while back I can assure you this isn't no flashy new stuff and walk out with bags kind of a place. If anything else I will recommend Spencers or hot topic at least those are the most common places within the mall. read more

Just got kicked out of the mall, because of the words on my shirt! When is off of shameless and you can buy stuff like that there first told me to switch it inside out, and when I tried to go to the bathroom he said no right here and made me strip in front of everybody! The mall has really depreciated over the last decade. Every once and a while I go and see if it's gotten better but...meh. For women's clothing the local boutique's tend to have better selection. I really like the new one in Heritage Square. read more

I was recently and I was saddened to see how far this once nice mall has fallen..The person I was with and I both agree Northwoods is the Official Ghetto mall of Peoria now.I knew once that arcade in Macys old spot was open that it was going to be a disaster. Then when I saw a Boost Mobile store near the almost empty Food court. That sealed it..Every store was almost empty and the whole mall is just depressing. They should just add an Aaron's rent to own or a Rent A Center in there..It couldn't hurt.. Or even better yet a Check Cashing / Title loan store..This is the Super Wal Mart of malls..if you don't get that reference just go to the EP super mall mart and look around. read more

stored are SAD! maybe it's covid, maybe they just sucked from the beginning, but i had a very hard time finding ANYTHING good in any of the ten stores we went to. To make matters worse, we were kicked out of the arcade (Round1) at 7PM for being under 18 despite their website saying 10PM. "Security" guy was a total dick. In the 90's this 70's- built Simon mall was decent. The mediocre remodel done a couple years ago was a complete waste of resources. This mall is completely out of date, which includes a Macy's stocked with 90's style merchandise, a JC Penny's that always has an empty parking lot, a food court will less options than McDonald's, and even the Abercrombie and fitch closed. Peoria desperately needs a new mall - with room for an apple store, H&M, forever 21, and all the other modern shops that customers flock to at other malls. read more

So I went into Pink this week with my friend because the kids were in school and we just wanted to get out and go to the mall. We got in there and we immediately had 3 people that worked there asking us questions about what we were looking for and asking to show us stuff. We even told them we were just looking. At first it was fine, but we literally couldn't even have a conversation with each other and look because they were following us everywhere asking us questions. It was super annoying! Besides that I love going to the Northwoods mall! I love the store Pink also but the workers in there are over the top! read more

Great mall. Needs updated but I have noticed the stores renovating and being more consistent lately! Very few filler stores! Overall It's the only indoor mall in the area! And pretty well up kept! read more

Obviously this mall can't compare to malls in LA or Chicago, but for central IL I think it is alright. It is clean with a typical crowd. Some of my stops along the two story building include Express, Macys, Bath and Body, and VS. this mall is def missing some of my favorite "mall" stores like H&M, Forever 21, Bergners, Teavana, and a DSW. Some of those are at the other mall in town. The food court is lacking a bit, but Didoughs pretzels and lemonade are the best. They do really deck the halls during Xmas though. read more

This mall has some staple stores- Express, VS, Gap, Macy's, American Eagle, etc. but it is missing some major players. Some are located out at Grand Priarie but overall, they some major stores that Peoria is missing. They have started to redo some of the inside store facades which is nice. I wish it had the old Gloria Jeans or Starbucks. read more

Best time to go here is during the school day when kids are in school and the dropouts are still passed out otherwise yoire bumping into youngsters left and right and one security guy. One can hope that the parking lot fills with more restaurants and whatever else you can think of because it isn't packed on Black Friday let alone the rest of the year. Just ordered a hoodie and a tank top for my daughter online from this store.then days later I was emailed back that "they were incredibly sorry but it was a misprint/mess up that they would not be able to provide me with the tank top that I had ordered that they accidentally put it online under the wrong price.no offer to pay a different price or to own up to their mistake and let me purchase the item I had ordered.Will not shop here anymore,for their prices I will go to kohls or somewhere else for better prices and better service. read more
