Oh my gosh can I tell you how much I hate this place?! Worst Wal Mart ever! All the Village people come to shop here and totally forgot that there are other places to shop because to get out of the store on a normal day takes about an hour and a half at check out. the Checkers are RUDE and little kids vomit on the floors. I have made many attempts to find some peace in this store and its just not working out. EVERYONE GO TO THE BRAWLEY STORE no lines and no screaming kids! All the Westmorland, Brawley, Calipas and Niland people go to the Brawley one to lighten the load on the Imperial store! read more

I'm only discounting one star because Target is more convenient. This is a super walmart. People are BUSY NONSTOP. I shop on average evenings & after midnight. I find that the employees are always in a rush to get things done (clean, stock up items, organize shelves). They aren't purposely going out of their way to be rude. Never have I had an employee deny any help if I needed or asked for it. Not once. A lot of the treatment from employees is reciprocated. Don't be rude, use your manners like any civilized person & employees will respond to you. It's not kissing ass, it's just common sense. Seriously, these employees are just busy. read more

It is so sad that the employees at this Walmart notice that someone needs help and they don't do anything. They just look at you. Oh, and before you leave they have the audosity to tell you, thank you. I am so disappointed. They don't even deserve 1 star. Well this Walmart beauty section had literally makeup and the little they do have its on the floor. Then when we were paying the cashier that was on lane 5 step on the box of rice n roni we got and was like oh I stepped on it do you still want it . She said it with attitude. Then she just threw some of our groceries. This isn't the first time the cashiers and attitude with us. This store is unorganized and has really poor costumer service. read more

photo dept is very disappointment! I made order to be in 1 day.. well I went and they got lost.. I had my receipt so I had to call a # in sandiego and I guess they send them.. so it was like the 4th day so I called them back and they lost my pictures.. cool thing I did not delete them form my memory card.. so I just went to rite aid.. Don't loose your receipt otherwise you are lost.. Not to mentioned the cashiers at the front.. I was buying a betta fish for my son.. well the cashier was very rude and she through it inside a plastic bag.. where it was in a platic container already.. This Walmart is awful! Dirty, dirty, dirty. There are never any cart sanitizing wipes and the water bottle return is always full. May God give you patience if you have to go to Customer Service. Slow, endless line. Roof have left merchandise stained and dirty, but still available for full price. The employees are rude and most don't even speak English!!! Why are people so mean to my favorite walmart? I don't disagree about the negative going ons, but give it a break its walmart you already know its evil to the environment, and employees, and overprices a bunch of plastic chinese crap that everyone uses for its disposable nature. Stop pretending its something it isn't. Focus instead on its grand scale, location, and service. For the exception of the brawley walmart this is hands down the best walmart I know of and I have been to 65-70% of all walmarts in California. Come in early in the morning or late at night if you don't like the crowds, its not rocket science. read more

This past week I purchased some camping equipment at the Walmart in El Centro, Ca. I had some problems with one of the tents I purchased and had to return the item. Unortunately I had lost the receipt, but had record of the transaction through my credit card. To make a long story short "Grace", the assistant manager provided me excellent customer service in retrieving my receipt and faxing it over the San Clemente store where I live. Thanks Grace for your professionalism and superior customer service, you made a difference in satisfying a Walmart customer. read more

This store has so many employees with attitudes it's like they work for free. There are nice people working there, but the vast majority are outright rude. There is a man in the paint section who is sometimes there, and every time I ask him for something he apathetically points at where it is with a face like he just hates his job. I pay with e-Gift cards pretty often, and I always get treated like I wanna pay with toy money. They don't seem to want to accept it at first, then they call a manager (which I completely understand), and it takes a little while, but it's okay. It stops being okay when they call the person in charge and she doesn't know what to do either, telling me that they are having problems with e-gift cards and that her manager told her to not accept them anymore or something, which I find ridiculous. I think if the big boss was there she'd lose her job for refusing money already spent. Anyway, I have to be very insistent and assure them that it is a legitimate way to pay, and to please just punch in the numbers. They act very doubtful, and clearly don't know what to do with e-gift cards... Also, not sure if the ladies standing at the door when you come in are still greeters or are just there, because they never even look at you. The end. read more

I had a good experience while looking for items at either at El Centro or Brawley walmart. employees have always been courteous when i ask a question at either stores. i return my used motor oil here free of charge after my oil change.the bad: do not service your vehicle at el centro or Brawley walmart. my oil plug was put on too tight during an oil change. the manager at El Centro Walmart was helpful looking up my receipt on their computer. I changed the oil in Brawley while passing through. the manager told me to go back Brawley walmart and he didnt want to help me. i didnt want to drive all the way to Brawley so i removed the oil plug and had to purchase a new plug. I never went back to walmart for an oil change again. i do my oil changes myself because walmart can't do an oil change properly nor do they want correct their mistakes and I get to save even more $$$ read more

Most awful Walmart ever! The lines at the register are always long, cashiers are slow and the store is never stocked. I don't care if it's cheaper. I'd rather go to another store that'll have what I need , check me out quickly and give me better customer service. Avoid this Walmart at all cost !!! read more

This place continues to dissapoint. I ask a question and they walk away from me in the automobile area. Brawley is worse.

Employees need a class in mannerisms and an English course. Brawley is even worse. I ask the gentleman that greets you as you enter or checks your receipt as you leave where the Christmas trees were. He didn't understand a word I was saying. WTH!!!! Even spoke with 2 other ladies stocking shelves. They didn't speak English either. This is not the first time it's happened. I know we live close to Mexico but why don't you hire people locally? Tired of shopping walmart. Customer service sucks. Two stars is being generous. read more

I frequent this store for the sole purpose of buying our groceries there. This store has it pros and cons. The great thing about this is you can return your items hassle free. Every once in a while you will get an amazing cashier. & Somehow you'll always find what you are looking for. For the bad thing about this... is that there is always a line. You have 15+ check stands and about only 5 are open, and one of those is for 20 items or less. So in reality you have 4 checkouts open. Some of the people working there do not speak any English & I believe that they should make it a requirement. Other than that not a bad place to shop... I was blown away by this store. Normally I only do a review if I get really bad service. This is an exception. After leaving food 4 less with a horrible experience in customer service we decided to go to Walmart. We walked in on the food side and went straight to the produce section. We asked the clerk working Tury if it would be possible to cut the watermelon we were purchasing. He didn't hesitate and cut it exactly how we wanted it and wrapped it for us. We are at a hotel this week and have no way to cut stuff up. Food 4 less refused our request and we left our cart and all and went to Walmart. Cashier also bagged our items really well. The only negative thing I have to say is we decided to get some more fruit on our way back out and went through self checkout with our last items of cherries. We put the cherries on the scale and put the plu in for them after putting them in the bag the clerk running self checkout came over and examined the screen to make sure the right code was put in. Making us feel like we were doing something dishonest. Again can't say this enough Tury is an awesome employee. Ask for him if you go in there. read more

For being one of the largest Walmarts in the country, it's funny that it's probably the worst run. The management is arrogant and couldn't care less about the customers. Right after Walmart made a big deal about adding more cashiers, I stood in line at this Walmart behind 17 (seventeen!) customers while only 6 out of about 30 registers were open. To make matters worse, the cashier had a side conversation going on with a friend behind the register. I did notice that it is slightly better when the general manager is on site, but don't even think of going here after 5 o'clock. An hour wait in line is not uncommon. You can tell I am not the only one frustrated when you see all the abandoned filled carts near the front of the store. It's sad that the management of this store hasn't figured out that he needs to make sure his night managers know what they are doing and how their primary concern shouldn't be to show everyone how they are "in charge". It's pitiful that they treat their customers the way they do here. read more
