The bottle return machines were not working this morning. This seems to be quite common issue at the Fenton Walmart. I usually bring in a few dollars worth when I do use the machines. Since today all the machines were all down except one and it was being used by someone with to two grocery carts full. I took my bottles to "Customer Service". They have handled before with no issues. A lady in customer service who had a badge "Team Lead" called me over. She asked what I needed and I told the machines were not working. She said "yes they were" with a very unpleasant attitude. I said they were not since I just walked over from there. With a cold response she said how many Bottles? I hadn't counted them. I could tell she had zero interest in counting out about 15 bottles, so I did. She gave me my money with an attitude. Lady, if you can't be pleasant to the customers go work somewhere where your nasty attitude won't be on display. I hope the store manager reads this and "coaches" you on how to interact with the public. Try smiling once in a while! It can be contagious. read more

I know I am a bit of an idiot for trusting fried chicken from Walmart but I've had it before with no issues, but this last time was a completely different experience. After eating the fried chicken yesterday at 2PM I was throwing up non stop until 3AM with diarrhea as well. It's terrible how they are forcing people to use the self check outs. Otherwise they have 2 lanes open! The lines are extremely long and it forces mainly elderly to stand for a very long time!!!! Everyone in those lanes complaining and we all know that it's not the cashiers fault!!! We had Kim today and her on several other occasions and she's extremely nice and friendly. This Walmart store does have everything you need. I have shopped here many many times but always have to grimace when I walk in. Sometimes it is not the cleanest, the produce is always poor quality, and it always seems like there are messes from stocking shelves in mid-day. Today, As I went to reach for a fresh package of bagels, I found a bagel that got out of the package and just sitting on the shelf! GROSS! Where did it come from? Went to return bottles, all but one of the machines were down and when I went to ask for help I had multiple associates look at me turn around and walk away. I went to the customer service desk to ask for assistance and they reported they've already been informed of the issues and someone was on their way to address it. I walked back to finish my returns, finished them and went did my shopping. The machines didn't get fixed and the lack of professionalism was disappointing. I get it, I used to work retail but keep it running efficiently. read more

How simple return at Walmart can be!? Return of T-shirt at Walmart in Fenton, MI (purchased at Walmart in Fowlerville, MI) end up exposing manager Laura's ignorance and incompetence, adding to my nightmares and loss of money. First, clerk had a hard time finding correlating UPC off my extensive receipt. Finally, I got a Return-slip, and without a common "have a nice day" she hurried to converse with nearby coworker. At first glimpse I noticed $2 refund and came back to verify it, knowing that I paid $5*, as it's said on tag, otherwise I'd keep it. Hesitant alright, she gave me Her copy of same Return-slip, adding "you got back what you paid for", thus this one contained UPC code I was looking for, and had to argue about it, otherwise how would I know what exactly item was returned. To my asking to double-check shirt's tag again, the answer was: "I can't, because now everything has to be sanitized" I didn't want to lose the shirt nor losing money and asked if I can Buy-back the T-shirt @$2. Clerk's response surprised me with: "..you can, but only if you pay $7 (not 2, or 5!) because that's how much this shirt is priced here. Quite a gauche! Dismayed, I asked for a manager. Coincidentally, while I was waiting for a manager, lady-clerk has disappeared and next customer- older & disabled lady in mobile-cart spelled out her anger at now standing young male-clerk Brad. Apparently, her online order of additional curtains came in not only 3 weeks late, but in wrong color and length, also complained about caring the heavy load of all of them to the store. Meanwhile, I noticed how busy nearby behind the wall is, when same employee are taking random trips back/forth, running into each other with sudden talks, or simply standing in far corner with round-back postures checking their phones. Only one person at the time is actually working in Customer Service, even when line on 4-5 customers accumulated and no one cares about 6 Ft. As manager came out, I recognized her as one of those employees, standing here 5 minutes ago, listening to my hopeless conversation with lady-clerk, however then, decided not to be involved. Now she introduced herself as Loren (I thought) and hurried up with "what do you want!?", explained the price-difference between store-locations, and also, affirmed that I can't buy-back my shirt for $2 'cause it rings $7 in Fenton. I continue: "Does it means if I'd return this shirt without receipt, you would give me $7 in cash???" Manager: "Yes, because that's what scanner dictates!"- she added "you've got what you paid for...so, have a nice day!" (I thought would never hear the last part!) - without giving me another chance, she rushed and disappeared behind same wall-nest, leaving 5-6 employee at the scene, still staring at their latest source of gossip... Wow, I was missing such a lucrative business all this time! So as Fowlerville's residents! Manager's rudeness in front of associated is used as a lesson for those associates, like Brad. She identified my broken English as less equal person to pay attention too, otherwise this small issue should never arise to this level. I was in shock for a moment, though, crowd immediately dispersed as I asked for manager's name. Brad had nowhere to go 'cause of customers, and I expect his help- not. Seeing me guessing between Loren or Lora, he replied "oh... I'm not sure, I'm working here only for 2 weeks!!"- he knew neither manager's first nor last name ("admiring" solidarity against evil emigrant!), so I just wait- she can't hide behind that wall-nest for too long. Looked at receipt again, black-on-white - there was Mgr. Laura!! Meanwhile, as I was texting my ill husband about a bit later return, Laura with 3 associates behind, zoomed through, and I "grabbed" the last one with question about her General manager's name; raff response "we don't give out personal information!". Became obvious I was the epicenter of Hate! From this point multiple associates approached me with useless suggestions, my frustration level hiked. It was "team-leader" time, so I asked for General manager's name - Sharron-no last name.."she is the only Sharron here, but why!? are you recording?". My gibberish response: "yes, recording, and just want to call Sharron and ask her permission for you to sell me my shirt back for $2. Also, if this gets to her, maybe she will re-think management". "Team-leader" smirked ..."you can't do it! You are not allowed to record in the store. You received the refund. Please leave the store!" Me: "is it fair for you to intimidate your customers without hesitation...I need a simple manager's name as a reference for complain, or simply let me buy my shirt back" "Team-leader": ..."please stop recording and leave the store, or I'll call the security" Me: "off course, as I'm a criminal! Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. I had an issue and called the service desk this morning. The lady was so rude and basically told me it wasn't her problem, When I was super nice to her and just wanted to let her know so future customers didn't go through what i did. I will spend the extra couple dollars at Vgs or I will drive to hartland to shop At Meijer or Kroger. Walmart... do better and train your employees to treat customers with respect. read more

Finding one simple item is nearly impossible when 1. They don't have the item stocked in the first place. Just kinda like every item pretty much Or 2. It is put in such a akward spot were it shouldn't be. And you can't find it because Walmart they don't know what something called "Organization" is. And some how if you did manage to find your item. Prepare to sit in a 4 hour line with a crying child behind you. With only 4 Cash registers opened at a time when you have 20+ empty lanes is kinda silly. So everyone crames into these lines blocking of walk ways and making it so difficult. Honest. Just drive up Owen Road a little more and go Target. Seriously. Don't waste your time at Walmart. I go here quite frequently (closest Walmart to me) but sometimes I wish I had just driven a little farther out to a different one.. it's always clean, so I'll give them a star for that.. but they are always out of stock of things, and the customer service is pretty terrible. This is my go-to place for all the things I need. I can find what I need here at a lower price than what I could find at nearby competitors. I really appreciate finding organic eggs and fruits and veggies at an affordable price. The self-check out lines are short if there is ever a line at all. I usually don't go into Walmart very often ( moved so further drive). Decided to go yesterday, was looking for rain boots. Well didn't buy the boots but picked a few small things. I go to check out and there are only 7 registers now, with only one open! They have like 30 U-Scan. This really irritates me. I will never step foot in a Walmart again!
