This Walmart is not as bad has people think. For being such a large Walmart they are pretty fast in service. They always have a lot of registers open and the wait is never too long like some Walmarts. The restrooms are always clean and the food shelves are always well stocked. Parking lot is well maintained, but could use more surveillance when it comes stray homeless people walking around vehicles. Overall nice work, could use improvement. read more

Still an awful place. Starting with the dirty parking lot, there is a lot of trash and abandoned carts. Actual police cars stil near the entrances. A police officer was standing just inside the door. They are continuously rearranging aisles in here. It's next to impossible to find a product you just purchased a month ago. Ask for help? Good luck! No one speaks English. I drove about 25 miles from the Keys to pick up an Apple accessory. The in-store price was $30 more than on the app. I could pay the extra $30 and take it with me. Or, I could select "pick up", save $30, and wait 4 HOURS for someone to bring it out to the parking lot. I tried to explain my dilemma to the woman working customer service. She could not understand me because she spoke NO ENGLISH! Frustrating. I forgot to mention literally everything here is locked up. Want to buy deodorant? It's behind locked panels. Want to pick up toothpaste? It's also locked away. Aspirin? Nope. Locked up. For self check out, they now keep you in a line back into the clothing department. As one of 4 working registers becomes available, they lower the "velvet rope" and motion you towards that register, as if it's a privilege to be permitted to complete self check out. I give up attempting to shop at this Walmart. I would rather drive another 5 miles to the one where they don't have everything locked away. read more

This is a large Walmart in the Homestead-Florida City area. Since I love to snack on popcorn, I decided to stop in and get some popcorn. They had the usual varieties that any other Walmart sells, so that was easy. There were a lot of people here, so even the self checkout lane had a wait. Not use the the rudeness but people are rude and of course we ran into a lady working in cosmetics her name is Guaini, she was extremely rude that couldn't even say hi. She completely ignored my husband and when I told her my husband said hi she rolled her eyes and said what do you need. I did tell her I did not appreciate her rudeness towards my husband and told her if she cannot be work with customers she should go home and not bring her vibe and rudeness to work. read more

This is definitely the worst Walmart I've visited. We stopped on our way to the Keys to get supplies and ended up standing in line for 50 minutes. To the management of Walmart Florida City, you need to coach and train your staff to have a proper costumer service training before every costumer you have left will find another ways not to shop inside the store or shop somewhere else! My husband just had several medical surgery and he can't walk yet we trusted the Walmart associate to have a kindred spirits to assist a customer yet it was so opposite to what we experienced on the May 8th. Two of the associate at self service treated us horribly and without proper introduction of what he/she is...there is a thin line of stupidity and rudeness, stupidity can be acceptable sometimes, but rude and blatant act of demeaning someone because they are on the motorized shopping cart is beyond rude and need to be reprimanded of removed from the job. This is possibly one of the worst Walmart's I have ever been to... I try to avoid is as much as possible... but it's the closest one to my house. It's messy, hard to find things, and of course even when you find where an item is supposed to be located it's not there. My most recent trip here was looking for Christmas decorations and a new Christmas Tree. Why I thought I should come here, I question. I really was hoping there would be a lot of good decorations here because the Walmart in Hialeah which I have shopped in the past always had a large selection of Christmas items. I loathe this place. They are always out of stock of anything I need to purchase. They barely have anyone working on the floor, so if you have a question about an item's location, may the odds be in your favor during the scavenger hunt. This place is filthy, which I can't blame them for completely because it is a very high volume store. The service desk is a joke. There is an older lady who works in that department that might be the incarnation of Satan himself. She is so rude. I don't think I have ever had a nice experience with her in all of my times at the service desk. This is for the Walmart Supercenter in Florida City, Florida. I'll throw in the broken system of shipping/delivery they advertise as being so convenient and quick. And then top it off with the Absolutely screwed up system where you can find items online that show as in stock in the local store and print out the order and they when you go to the store to pick up those items they refuse to complete the sale at the checkout register. Even the Supervisor refuses and tells you to go order it online. Same products - Same corporation - Same everything - Stupid system. Then when you actually order the items online and choose delivery the Bit** Supervisor interferes with the delivery to prevent it from getting delivered. On purpose and vindictively. I'm done with this store that has gone downhill over the years to the point that NO customer service policies are followed any longer. Just terrible POOR service and crowded wasting of my time. When you call Customer Service, it is all some foreign country, with reps that barely speak English and repeat the same practiced answer to everything....- " I don't know or I apologize" They resolve nothing" Nothing ever improves. Customer Service just continues to get worse as Walmart squeezes every penny out the any and all sales at the customer's expense. I have had enough. I am ditching Walmart for good. Oh, I loved it! It is a very spacious, clean and full of excellent merchandise at the wonderful prices I'm used to. I was surprised that they even had a mechanical workshop where they make oil changes and everything for the tires of the cars. The service was great. The two times I asked for something the women who took care of me told me how to get what I wanted, in an educated and efficient way. Thank you! Ay me encanto! We always forget something on our way to the Keys. Always. So we figure out the list while we drive there and pick it up on the way down. Of course Walmart has awesome prices. Sure its full, but this particular Walmart is probably the biggest one I have ever been to. Its huge. It has everything. I like it. I forgot my bathing suit once even. So I got an OP suit here that was super cute (believe it or not) plus our snorkeling gear and snacks. Not a bad place to stop to get that last minute something. read more

Maybe it is the fact that when I stop here, more often than not, we are on vacation and usually on some magical trip to the Florida Keys, thus, my judgment is clouded by the excitement a kid feels on Christmas eve because they know that something good is coming. Be aware of placing an order at this location's website I placed an order two of my items were not available which I was later notified and another item in the same order was lost in the mail when you call customer service for them to reship it out they can only give you a refund between 10 to 14 day to be refunded. Some people just cannot pay twice and wait for reimbursement some people are not rich in that way. Warning do yourself a favor and do not order online through walmart.com the customer service is terrible and if your order is delayed or out of stock they do nothing to make it better basically you're screwed. read more

A good Wal Mart, if such a thing must be admitted to exist, would be in the middle of a really small town off highway 10 in New Mexico where the air is clean, where you can see the mountains in the background, and where you can get in and out in 10 minutes leaving with a cool western shirt, western belt, jeans, a hat and change for $100 bill. A bad Wal Mart would be this one in Florida City which is crowded and spirit-killing. This "Super" outlet of the ubiquitous big box chain, must be a portal into hell from earth. Everything you could possibly detest in a store rolled into one. And when you leave, you feel lucky to be alive. Let's start with a poorly designed parking lot/ mini city. It feels like the building was built sideways to the lot. The design results in a lot of ridiculous and dangerous parking lot driving just to find the entrance. Which you will not be able to park near because the lot and the store are always, always crowded. Then, once you've parked and walked a mile to get in, that's when you realize you really are in hell. Wal Mart, like Chuck E. Cheese, is one of those places people bring their kids to. Kids mean noise, congestion, and the strong likelihood of "heelying" (kids zooming around on those annoying roller skate shoes). All the congestion makes shopping difficult and draining and checking out a really lengthy process. This is the only store I've been to where I feel the need to leave my Ipod in the whole time. The workers don't help you what so ever. I have been waiting more than 20 minutes for someone to open one of the glass box. Asked one worker he said " let me go find someone with the key" 10 minutes after no one came so I asked another worker she said I'll be right with you and find someone with the key. She kept assisting other people and hasn't even called anyone to help me get someone from a glass window like why is it so hard. It's Walmart, what do you expect? I always dread coming here. Every time I come here I leave with suicidal thoughts. All the workers look like they hate life and how they want to die. Lines are never open. Open food containers in random isles of the store. Ghetto people. Crack whores harassing you in the parking lots. One time I went to the bathrooms only to find a woman butt naked washing out her clothes in the sink. On my most recent visit I wanted to try on some clothes. I went up to the fitting rooms at exactly 10:45 and nobody was there. There was a sign on the door that said they close the fitting rooms at 11:00pm. I had to run around trying to find a worker to ask if they can open the door. I finally found one and she said "It's closed" "But it's 10:45" "Oh, go up to customer service and ask'........Okay.......so I did and they said the person who works at the fitting room left early for no reason and they had to search around for the key. Finally they found it and a woman opened the fitting rooms for me, she looked like she hated life and didn't respond when I said Thank You multiple times. Anyways, this place sucks. read more

I made a pickup order for 7am because I fall into a high-risk category due to Covid. I picked up my groceries and when I returned home I discovered that an item was missing. It was not an expensive item, but when I called and spoke to someone about it, she said I could go back and get it. I told her that it wasn't convenient for me to do another 26-mile round trip for a simple item and that the shoppers should be more careful with filling the orders (this is not the first time my order was not filled correctly). The pickup representative got a nasty attitude with me and hang up the phone on me. I called back several times to speak with a manager on the regular number, but never got an answer. What ever happened to customer service? Since when does the store representative get to have a nasty attitude with a customer and hang up on them when THEY made a mistake? Are our purchases not helping to keep them employed when so many others are out of work right now? I can handle mistakes but the blatant disrespect made me decide to take my business to Publix. I may pay more, but the service that they give me is worth it because my dignity is priceless. Until people decide to not sell their souls to save a few pennies, businesses like the Florida City Walmart will continue to hire rude and uncaring employees who treat their customers like garbage! read more

Easily one of the filthiest and disappointing Wal-marts I have ever been in. I was TDY to the area once and needed to get a prescription filled. I had not been to this particular Wal-mart before, but the experience made up my mind that once was enough. First, driving into the parking lot is a lot like driving through a land fill. There is trash EVERYWHERE. For the first time in my adult life, I thought perhaps I was visiting a third-world country instead of a branch of the largest retailer on the planet. Second, as I was walking into the door, I was knocked over by two guys running out - having apparently stolen something (I'm only guessing because the store security about knocked me over again, chasing them). And finally, the interior, especially in the grocery side, is disgusting. Products knocked from shelves laying in the aisles. the tile doesn't look like it's been cleaned in ages. half-consumed drinks and half eaten deli food left sitting on the shelves. Definitely not what I've come to expect of Wal-Mart - maybe Winn Dixie, but definitely not Wal-Mart. Maybe I caught it on a bad day, but I got the feeling that this is what this store looks like ALL the time. And to top it off - and probably shouldn't be a surprise - the worst Golden Corral in the entire world (which I reviewed earlier) is in the same parking lot. read more

We decided to take Walmart up on their "We're committed to providing low prices every day. On everything. So if you find a lower advertised price on an identical product, tell us and we'll match it. Right at the register." So we gathered several circulars from Winn Dixie, Sedanos, Publix, People's Chioce and headed to Walmart. So if you can withstand the long lines at the check out, the over crowded parking lot anf the million and one boxes in the aisles; then you can really save a couple of dollars at Walmart. This will save you from having to make several different trips to several different markets. Certain items they didn't have, but the ones they did; it was a breeze. Once we made it through the line, and man it was a line, we simply showed the cashier the ad for each item and she matched the price in the ad. A couple of times, Walmart's price was even lower. Just be ready for all the crazy looks of the people behind you. So, if you don't mind the lines to save a dime; head to Walmart with all your circulars and coupons. This is one of the worst WM I have ever been to. Came in to return an item and pick up a few items. I was first in line for the return and waited for at least 20 minutes. The person in front of me did not have a receipt and it took for ever for the manager to come sign off on it. After that was over on to the shopping. We were pleased we found some items here that we couldn't find in Orlando. After finishing up and filling our cart we head for the check out. There was a long line in the 5 open lines we must have had 6 people in front of us and I must say that this cashier was the slowest I have ever seen. She was in no hurt to get you out the door. Unless you need Electronics or Gardening material - steer clear of this Walmart. Go to the new Walmart on Kings Highway and US1. It's only 5-8 minutes north of this Walmart and so much cleaner. The service here is terrible. No one really wants to help you, and if you're a coupon-er like myself - USE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE. Every time I bring coupons here something "goes wrong with the system" or they will not take them. It's a nice store (kinda the average Walmart), you can find tons of toys in this store and my son loves it (my wallet not that much), produce is not bad but not a huge variety of stuff. They do need to hire more cashiers because is all the time super busy and not enough registers open, so it takes forever to check out. read more
