To my surprise this mall was super dead for that time and day. It's like nobody lives in this town. Any who, the less people, the faster the shopping experience is. This small shopping center hosts standard mall-stores (A&E, B&BW, The Children's Place, Finish Line, Game Stop, GNC, KJ, Payless, Spencer's, VS, Zales., amongst others). Mall patrons are nice, and their stores are clean and well stocked. Great place for a good walk, and for a quick in-and-out shop.

Their content changes so heading in there is normally going to be somewhat of a new experience, and they've remodeled a bit to make it even easier to walk around and check things out. This place is normally super busy, but I did manage to get some pictures since we were the first ones in. It's absolutely a place to support, and they put in a great amount of effort to make sure you have the best experience in a brick-and-mortar store. It has been my go-to for formal wear, Iowa Hawkeye gear, shoes, accessories, swimwear and more over the years. But this summer they changed their return policy. I think a lot of it is pretty standard... - Return within 90 days with a receipt: Receive purchase price back to original form of payment - Return after 90 days with receipt or anytime with a gift receipt: Receive purchase price as merchandise credit only. - Return without a receipt: Receive current selling price as merchandise credit only. My issue with this change is with their new FINAL SALE policy. - They cut the tags off your brand new items to ensure you can't return them. Therefore my newly purchased, never worn item that I just so happened to score a great deal on... looks not new. Possible pre-owned. What if I planned to gift someone that item? Don't they deserve to know it hasn't been worn and is right off the rack? (Or in my case, I got a supposedly unworn bikini without any tags... which was unexpected. And kind of weirded me out.) If you need to scribble on the tag, over the barcode-- go for it. But I go to Von Maur for the experience and the unique items sold there. It is tacky and off brand to send new items sans tag. (And when I contacted customer service to express my opinion about said two piece. I was basically shrugged off.) I buy plenty of thrift items for myself and even they include a tag... just sayin. This would be a two star, just because of how I feel about the new changes. But I still stand by Von Maur as a quality store. This change may stop me from getting certain items here now. The mall has a convenient layout and it's easy to get from one store to the next. The prices depend on which store you go to. Claires is relatively cheap and Bergner's tends to be on the expensive side and has a few brand names. He's tries to push the biggest one the most for about $450. Then when he's sees you're not taking the bait on any of these different packages he starts dropping the prices. It's a fast paced hard sell for about 10-15 mins ‍ Nothing we were interested in. We kept shaking our heads no at every one of them and saying no. He doesn't give up until you say NO about 10 times. Almost like dealing with a telemarketer over the phone except you're in person. Let us buy the ribeye's the first day you're here and try them. If they're good we'll be back before the last day you're here and maybe buy something else. Unfortunately after trying them even with tenderizing they were still tough to us. We'll just grind them up and use them for burgers. Finally, my wife and I both said, we're here for just the 20 ribeye's for $39 bucks. He then surrendered and sold us what we asked for to begin with‍ What a frustrating waste of time. Had we known it was that involved just to buy what we came for we would have never stopped. This was the pharmacy I could find and I figured CVS, Walgreens, Longs, etc. are fairly interchangeable. Hartigs proved me wrong. Most stores like this have an 8 or more door section with a bunch of different brands, styles, varieties of what I needed. This store had a four foot section, and only maybe a third (probably a generous estimate) of the shelves in the section were dedicated to what I was seeking. I was sure I was wrong so I asked the woman at the front and she said that was it. Turns out I wouldn't have wanted to spend my money here anyway. So Hartigs sent me to a Walmart for the first time in well over two years. Given that I'd rather shop almost anywhere besides Walmart, that's a feat.
