You can never get anyone in the store to help you. The store is always out of stock on items that should be in stock. I order online most of the time but always find things out of stock. Example: Fresh bread from bakery. I tried to order several different kinds of fresh baked bread and each time, they were out of stock. Not just one kind but every kind of bread. No one ever answers the phone at Walmart. Not only that, I have specific directions to where my house is located and my neighbors kept having to bring my groceries to me. Several times the groceries were not delivered at all because the delivery person could not find my house. I saw the delivery person right in front of my house, I like Walmart but it is getting the store seems not to care about their loyal customers. read more

The lack of customer service or any interest in providing customer service gets worst by the minute. The deli department is scheduled to be open until 8 pm but on several occasions including toss evening around 7 pm they tell me they are closed. Sorry if no body is on to help you close down but that should not make the customers suffer. Working adults traveling into Garner/Clayton from Raleigh expect to get the service as needed when getting out of work. This review is actually about the tv. Because I'm lazy Walmart is my go to store. In march 2024 I purchased a 65" ONN ROKU TV. The price was good. The tv has great picture. Truthfully it's a lot of tv for the price. The tv powers off when it wants to and freezes up more often than I like. I'm not a happy camper. Next is a phone call to Walmart to ask if it's returnable without the original box. I usually keep my tv boxes for a month or two but not this time. I went on faith. The biggest issue I have with the Walmart in Garner at 4042 area is that they will not answer their phone. Twice now my online grocery order has gotten "hung up" somehow so that it's greatly delayed if not cancelled. It just gets hung up in the system. I cannot call them to get it cleared out so I can replace an order or ask for my money back or speak to someone to get an honest idea of how long the delay may be. I've tried calling the main number and I've tried calling the grocery number literally for hours . The only department that tends to answer for me is Bakery, They are kind enough to transfer me but no one answers again. This particular store management lacks the ability to just answer the phone and communicate with their loyal customers. read more

Went for tire installation. Originally talked to Tariq who was very friendly and customer focused. Upon returning to install the tires, Vince (possible manager) was impatient and had an "attitude". I was trying to explain which 2 tires I wanted to replace and where to put them. Vince failed number 1 rule in business: "LISTEN" to your customer. He made me feel as I was bothering and insulting him by trying to explain what I wanted to get done. The installer (Tino) was very helpful and customer focused. If you come for service here, ask for Tariq and avoid Vince if possible. If I was the store manager, Vince would not be interacting with customers. read more

My big complaint is the electric carts for disabled run out of energy after 10 minutes in the store. Have to change carts 2-3 times a shopping trip!! ‼They need new long life batteries ‼... Very big store, with an interesting pick up system. Luckily, everything I've bought was large, and I was waited on by humans. This makes the experience so much better. The staff was very helpful, explained the pick up process thoroughly, and I was in and out all three pick ups very quickly, without any issues, and with a smile each time. Nothing but issues with pick up grocery service. Missing and damaged items-managers never call you back-hold put on your card and no refund of changes when final amount is different. Not just a one time event this review is from several instances and now I am looking for a new place to use. Outright theft and they prevent you from being able to rectify it. read more

This can be a great Walmart and it should be easy as the location for great business is very good! Honestly think it has the wrong management at the top. No staff in the garden area- you can not get to the items stored outside the garden area like patio/ play sand- doors and gates to get access are locked - 3 consecutive days we visited ( like Walmart does not want you to buy those goods, even though they are for sale) no Rotisserie Chicken over lunch time on a Sunday ( when it will sell like hotcakes) and none early evening between 6-7pm - these are the times when families need these to prepare a quick healthy meal. Tried the Curbside pick- also a problem as the app will tell you you have picked up your order, only to wait another 10 minutes for someone to show up with the order ( these has caused much destress for my older mom in the past) We want to support your store -Matt at Walmart- but you need to do much better! read more

The store itself if great. Line was quick to get inside, everything was set up well. My issues was with my cashier. I saw her take off her mask multiple times, touch her face, and everything around her quite a few times before she check me out. While checking me out there was an issues with a tag, I offered to go get an item with a tag because she was taking awhile to find the number on the tag, which is fine. The problem was when I asked her to wear her mask. She argued with me that the 6ft rule was more important and that the mask didn't do anything. I asked her to please put on her mask, as she was breathing and touching all my item(i saw her touch her face multiple times). She continued to argue with me and finished the transaction without her mask. They require you to wear a mask to get into the store but don't care if their employees wear them. Even when asked politely they proceed to argue with you. She it not only putting herself a risk but every person she checks out and interacts with. Went to visit this Walmart yesterday. Just wanted to buy a couple of things but added a few more items to my list and realized I should have taken a cart, We saw a cart standing in one lane with no one in sight. Thought we'll use it as we were almost done shopping but just needed an extra hand/ cart to carry everything to the checkout. Once we started to put the items into the cart I heard a staff member aproaching me from quite a distance. He told me to leave the cart as it was his and he was using it ( but he wasn't as we had made sure no one was before we started using it) I appologized and took our items out. After I realized that in any other store, the staff member would have wanted to help ( I was in Food Lion the other day and a staff member offered to bring me a 2nd cart to help with our shopping.. I was in Dollar tree a few weeks back and the staff were so helpful.. ) I went back to approach the staff member to get his name- Michael just waved me off like I was something the cat dragged in.. and walked off while I was talking to him. Still he wasn't using the cart but I as a customer was not allowed to use 'his cart' really bad customer service from Michael. STORY TIME WITH MATT: It all began one afternoon when I entered Walmart. It seemed to be just another trip to Walmart, but I was wrong. We began to check our items out at the self checkout, when all of a sudden all of the Walmart employees started yelling "Tornado watch". I was scared, having never experienced anything like this in my lifetime before. Quickly the employees began herding all their customers, into the frozen food isle. We HAD to stay crammed in the frozen food isle for at least 20-30 minuets. FACT: There are only 2 frozen food isles at this Walmart and between the 3-4 hundred customers in the store, the isles wouldn't even hold us all. NOTE: The reason I put 2 stars on this review isn't because I had to sit for half an hour. The real reason I have put 2 stars is because of the reason that they put us in a freezer isle and told everyone to abandon there carts. But, just as you might have already guessed, people didn't obey. I personally, and many others on the isle with me, also agreed, that it isn't a smart idea to put people on an isle lined with heavy freezer cases with glass doors, and have stubborn customers bringing shopping carts onto an isle of a store that may or may not be there a second later. All of the employees were just giggling and talking with there fellow employees rather than forcing people to abandon their carts. I would like to encourage this Walmart, and any other Walmart locations that follow this rule, to change your tornado procedures, and be more strict on customers during a life or death situation like this. This Walmart seems to be better ran than most Walmarts, online orders process smoothly, management is always present which probably contributes to the shelves being stocked pretty well on most occasions. Self checkout is always open. I come here very frequently and I never find myself upset with any aspect of it. I almost never have to wait to checkout because I just use self checkout. In the past I have been extremely pleased with the Walmart Grocery pick up however the past 2 times that I have picked up my groceries I have gotten all the way home only to realize that I was missing numerous items. This is extremely frustrating! When I called the 800 # to make Walmart aware of the slight of items they offered to give me a $10 promo card and then begged me to give them a good review when I receive their customer service survey. They never asked about what I was missing or tried to get details about the situation to hopefully prevent this from happening to other customers in the future. It is very apparent that Walmart has enough business that my measly $400 a month is not going to make or break them as long as their customer service surveys report excellent customer service. I would say that the young people that help me load my groceries when I pick them up are AMAZING! Always so polite, friendly and hard working. Took my Volvo C30 T5 up here yesterday to repair my tire as it had a roofing nail in it. They were helpful, efficient and professional. My tire was done in record time and they notified me so I could pick it up within the estimated time. The charge was only $10!! Wow, thanks guys! The manager at this Walmart (Matthew) was Very rude to me and had no compassion for me losing 40.00 in the store.He has no customer service or management skills and needs to be demoted. Just your classic Walmart. Very standard with relatively the same layout as every other Walmart. There's ample parking available, and it conveniently located next to a couple of other stores (Dollar Tree, Rue 21, etc.) I wish it wasn't so far away from the main part of 40/42, but I guess I can't complain too much. Service here at night, however, is AWFUL and very slow. They also have NO SELF CHECKOUT, which is my eternal frustration. read more

I am very much a Walmart fan, in that it is close by, and usually has everything I need for my family. I do wish they had not gotten rid of the fabric department. I shop at this Walmart store frequently because it is close to home. Usually I can find everything I need. The major issue I have with Walmart in general is that the scanner sometimes scans the wrong price (higher) and so I have to go stand in line and wait at for customer service to assist me with a refund. Behind that counter were several extremely rude and unprofessional employees hanging around gossiping about another employee and then making rude comments to each other concerning my reason for being there. I left the store feeling like I had been in a battle. This store does have a high turnover. It's quite obvious why that is. From now on I will go further out of my way to shop at another location. This is by far the worst I mean THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE Ever! I came in to return a lawn Murray mower that broke that same day! I bought it a week later to return it and ask for my money back. First they told I had to take out the fuel which I did with in 5 mins. Before I took it to take the fuel out they had already scanned the lawn mower and my receipt. The "customer service representative" said she gave me back my receipt which she probably did and I could have lost in time frame of dumping out the fuel out of the lawn mower. But they said the only thing they could do was to exchange it. In the process of the lawn mower being exchanged another customer next to me stated she wasn't given a receipt the supervisor Jasmin suggested to one of her co workers to look up her receipt, At that point I asked her how come they didn't do that for me; she said is because they can't do that.. but she has clearly told her co worker to do it for the other customer, maybe because the other customer was the same skin color as her. I felt discriminated and insignificant as a customer. At no give moment was there a genuine attitude to help. I was able to talk to the manager Richard (No Help) just for him to tell me that they could get me a receipt but I couldn't use that to get me back my money?? How much sense does that make? They clearly knew I bought from them but they refuse to refund me my money! Am sooo disappointed! One of the lady's that works there tried to help us but with the type of manager and supervisors their was nothing to be done! It's shameful to know that very little companies hire the right people to do the right Job! If anyone is looking for a new lawn mower please let me know! I haven't even bothered to open it. I would caution anyone wanting to use their tire/lube shop. Upon receiving our vehicle back after an oil change, it had been thoroughly searched complete with grease marks near handles to compartments. Things were put back sloppily. Thankfully I had removed our valuables prior to leaving the vehicle there. No wonder they make you sign a release stating they are not responsible for items left in vehicles.. it seems they have trouble with their employees having sticky fingers. (Maybe not, but our vehicle showed evidence of being rummaged through in every compartment, again, complete with grease marks). They also stated the filter was changed, it was NOT. They parked the vehicle and did not call to tell us it was finished, and left the windows open.The receipt charged us for a myriad of services we had not requested such as vacuuming the carpet, and said they had been completed, but our vehicle was full of sand! We had just been at the beach. No one vacuumed, or anything else they claimed to have done which we did not want done ANYWAYS. read more
