First time visiting this location. After spending the afternoon in Raleigh, we had planned to stop at the Burlington location on the way back to Greensboro, but figured we'd be cutting it tight on time. So when we pulled up directions, and saw this location was also on the way home, we decided to do our shopping here. Easy to get in and out of, close access to the highway, they have all the amenities, including a gas station. The store was well stocked, and our limited interaction with staff (we did self check out) was pleasant. The carried everything we were looking for, only issue we had was finding things, as it was layer out as a mirror image to our usual location. No complaints, would shop here again, and would recommend, no crazy over crowding like Costco, good pricing/bargains on bulk items. read more

Super convenient BJ's location close to Hwy 40/440 and Crossroads shopping center. I was a frequent visitor while I was in undergrad at NC State. Now that I live further away, I only stop by if I'm in the area for other reasons and need something from BJ's. We need to pick up some floss on the way home and made a 10 minute stop at this BJ's. Super organized and clean, and we had no issue finding our ways around here to get our shopping done. Parking lot is HUGE, and there are special parking spots for customers with children. I will be back again for my next pit stop to buy something on the go if I'm in the area. read more

A nice warehouse just off walnut street near crossroads. Plenty of parking out front, easy to get in and out. Items are arranged neatly and signs are easy to read. No food court here. Had problems in the self-service checkout lane. An item wouldn't scan properly and I needed it cleared. The lady who was working that area saw me but ignored me for about 15 minutes. I had to raise my voice to get someone's attention. A helpful guy came over, cleared the item and I was able to scan it properly. I recently got the BJ's capital one credit card for an additional $.15 off they're already low price on gas. In addition to that you also get 2% on other purchases when you go in to make a purchase at BJ's they will take off whatever monies you have accrued from using your BJ's capital one credit card, for instance, my bill was $184 yesterday and I paid only $54 for everything I had purchased due to what I had earned on my credit card. We live in Fuquay-Varina but travel to Cary to this BJ's location about every month. The value for stuff like water, milk, and laundry detergent is unbeatable. The store is stocked as best they can with the shortages. Eggs used to be the best price as well. They provide the best coupons and the app is easy to use. You can scan items as you shop to price check and if there is a coupon available for the item, you can add it on the spot. They also provide gas discounts with certain items and by the time you load the car, the discount is available for use at the gas station. The gas station is in a difficult spot due to the traffic but worth the discount. The staff is mostly friendly but there is one sweet lady that is always checking the receipt on the way out who always greets my kids and shares a good recipe once and a while if the line is not backed up. read more

Hadn't been to BJs in years. We saw that they were offering everyone a chance to come and shop this week with out a membership so we stopped by one evening. It wasn't crowded at all. A far cry from what it's like at Costco. First thing we noticed was that they had removed the food center that used to be at the front. This would be a fast food center that was there several years ago when we last visited. Guess it wasn't profitable. The warehouse was well stocked. We found a clearance area in the back and purchased a few Christmas presents. Their beer selection is terrible. They had quite a bit of seasonal merchandise. The brands they featured were a bit different than either Sams Club or Costco has. Of course they also have their store brand which we are not familiar with at all. When it came time to checkout I had to visit the service desk and got a free 3 month membership. I don't see how this was really a FREE week at all. You need a membership number in order to check out. We may come back again............Costco is way better (IMO). read more

It's a wholesale club. Okay, there you go. Why a 4-star review? Today's experience. Started yesterday really...bought a computer that had been the display model ($500 laptop for $300, gotta love that). They boxed it back up while I was shopping. When I got home, it had two problems. 1) They forgot the power cord. 2) They didn't remove the BJs account password. Well, I called up, Ann Marie apologized profusely as if she had been the one to make the mistake (she wasn't involved in my purchase) and when I told her I'd be back in the morning she checked the schedule to tell me that Ryan was the most tech-savvy manager on shift. I walked in this morning and as I approached the customer service desk, Ann Marie saw the computer I was holding and flagged me over. She called Ryan right away. Ryan came in just a few minutes and quickly removed the password and turned the laptop to me to change the Account name and password. As I did that, he retreated to the "cage" and in less than a minute walked out with a chord. "I don't know why the chord wouldn't be in the box, but this one seemed homeless, maybe someone moved it aside while packing your box up." It was an ASUS chord, it fit the socket, and lo and behold, it charged the battery. Success. Ann Marie flagged me down to again apologize profusely as I was leaving (after getting some bologna and salami from the deli counter, did you know they had a deli counter?). Nobody is beyond making a simple mistake or two and it is how you address it that counts. They did a great job getting me customer satisfaction. (And kosher salami.) read more

This Monro location does the service work for BJs wholesale club in Cary, NC "I Bought 4 new tires at BJs in Cary, NC and was offered a current $70 discount coupon. I checked some online specs and reviews for the Michelin Defender XT 90K mile tires that are only available from membership clubs. I am totally happy with the BJs side of the transaction. The Monro side was not a very good experience, they did the tire installation, alignment work and oil change and tried to offer other services like replace my brakes and change fluids. They used my old car info that was already in the computer and not my current car. The oil change was broke down for $15 oil, extra $7.99 for filter, $7.00 labor to install filter, $2.50 recycling and $3.25 shop fees for a total shown on the invoice of $35.74 for just the oil change part. There was two current Monro discount coupons available, one for the $19.99 oil change with the filter and another 20% coupon on the alignment, neither coupon was offered. The invoice shows 5W30 oil was installed, my car specs shows it requires 5W20 oil. They all tried to get me for a $189 brake job for front brake pads and to turn the rotors. I just paid my regular mechanic, TAO Auto, $50 to check my brakes again with these results 45% life left on the front and 55% life left on the rear brakes. The bottom line is there is nothing wrong with my brakes. Fluid changes for my Honda are suggest at 60K and 90K miles, I currently have about 75K miles. More ways for them to make extra money for unneeded repair. I did receive a call from Monro, they will be sending me a new invoice by mail and tried to explain away the rest of the issues and said I did get the discounts. The dollars I paid just do not seem add up with what I have been told. Update: I did receive a somewhat corrected invoice, only the year and plate number were corrected, nothing about any reduced charges for the two coupons was changed and no new total was shown. I have had good luck with BJs tires in the past, now I will be looking for a BJs that has someone other than Monro doing the actual service work. I understand they also own Just Tires in this area. read more

So, it's a BJ's. For the west coast people that have no idea what I'm talking about, it's pretty much a Costco. You buy your products in bulk and you get selected products for a discounted price. So like Costco, if you shop at a BJ's, you are pretty much joining the $1,000 dollar club because you'll be spending a lot on bulked items. Granted, you'll be frustrated by the high costs at first, but it does pay for itself in the long run when you realize that it takes almost forever for your purchases to diminish, thus actually saving you money in the long run. BJs Tires - Michelin defender. While putting on the tires on my 36,000 mile car, Monro used the incorrect technique and broke the Tire Pressure Sensor. They told me it was a manufacturing defect or perhaps a low battery in the TPS. Never once indicated it was their fault. My regular mechanic of nearly 30 years assures me that if the TPS has force applied to it, it will break! The item is clearly cracked. Monro sold me an alignment for my new tires and told me that my car's back tires couldn't be aligned because it needed a shim kit and that wasn't included in the $80 price -- so only the front two tires got aligned. Car was nearly UN-DRIVABLE when it was in nearly perfect condition when I gave it to them (except it needed new tires). Thankfully my regular Mechanic Phil's Toy Store is near BJs and for $233 dollars the damage done to my car was fixed. I will be writing BJs with documentation but the few pennies I saved on the price of the tires wasn't worth the cost of not having my car. Monro did not take any ownership and tried to misdirect me on the problem. If you buy your tires here take them somewhere else to have them installed. We'll see if BJs makes this right or not. Update: Monroe sent me a check for the service I paid to fix the tire pressure sensor at Phil's plus 1/2 off the alignment. While they made it right in the end, I don't really have time for mechanics that are paid based on volume of work and not quality of work. read more

Love coming here. It is in a super nice location and is easy to get to. Never had an issue until today...my fiance went to pick up 2 heros we ordered and they were unfortunately not cut. He asked the man at the deli to cut them and was given an attitude and then was asked how many people. My fiance told him 15 so the guy then proceeded to cut 8 sandwiches out of each hero. I joined a few months ago after relocating, and compared it to my experience with Costco and Sam's in the past. So far, I like BJ's better. Good customer service upon joining, and a nice coupon booklet was given to me to lower the prices even more. They also accept manufacturer's coupons in addition to their own, so plan your trip and save more. I was pleased at the large assortment of frozen, organic vegetables, and amazed at the large selection of fresh produce; however, I was disappointed to see most of it is imported with almost nothing from within the USA. The most bizarre thing was that there was an employee working in the fresh produce section that was angry, surly, and loudly complaining about how someone had moved his produce around, or otherwise messed up his life. He was muttering and fuming "to himself", but loud enough and constantly so that he irked several customers, like me, who snickered at his sourness and tried to get away from him as soon as possible. Weird fellow, so sorry he hates his job so much! Anyway, I was here for two hours checking out the selections everywhere, and finally filling up my cart with pantry items, fresh meats, and frozen produce. I'll come back once a month to stock up the freezer with high quality organic vegetables and good prices on the fresh meats. read more

I have been a member for years, and if I request an item they don't carry, I'm told by the customer service desk employees, " we have no control on store items. I ordered an entertainment center on the website and when it arrived the box was damaged and a part was missing, I called the manufacturer but was told they did not have the part and they did not know when more would be in since they came from China so they told me I had to return it to BJ's. I used BJ's website to initiate the return and even got a return authorization and an email saying I could ship it back at my expense or take it to the store for my return, So I loaded it up and took it to the store. Laura at the return desk did not even want to talk to me about it, she just said I have to ship it back, she would not even look at my email I had pulled up for her. I left the furniture on a cart in front of the return desk, I would rather lose the $150.00 than deal with this. I am writing this review regarding Bjs Travel department. Everyone should beware and do a thorough check before you depart. I booked a vacation to Aruba on 03/16/2017, for my daughters sweet 16. The trip, scheduled for 07/5 - 7/12/2017, included flights and room at the Hyatt hotel for a family of five. During the reservation process, I entered all the required information to include proper ages of my teenage kids. With that being said, Bjs booked me an executive suite that allegedly could accommodate my family. On 3/17/2017, I began re-checking the hotel to ensure everyone would be comfortable. I called BJs travel and spoke to "JACK", who put in a request for a roll away bed. He said it should be good...I then went on the Hyatt website and discovered that there's no roll away beds. I called Hyatt and they transferred me to the actual hotel property in Aruba. I spoke to the Representative and was told that this is misinformation. The room will not accommodate my family comfortably and two rooms would be needed. The room had one king bed and a pullout TWIN couch. I then called BJs travel back and was told they can't help me, and that it went through Expedia. I spoke to "Christie" at Expedia who was of no help!!! One option's presented were, cancel everything and re-book for two rooms online. OR, keep the executive suite and book a second room. Also, when you get there, tell them you have two reservations... I explained, that idea wouldn't be good, because then there is no guarantee we would have connecting rooms or rooms on the same floor close by for that matter... Absolutely ridiculous direction by their travel agent! It shows they can care less! It seemed no one wanted to go out of their way to make this right. I canceled my daughters sweet 16 trip, because of the incompetence of Bjs travel department! They have made this a disappointing, and a frustrating process! To top everything off, I had to make an additional call to Allianz to cancel my insurance... more frustration and time wasted. If I would of went according to their itinerary, the trip would of been a terrible surprise showing up and not having a place to stay because they couldn't accommodate my family! I must say, My wife and I are disappointed and extremely upset with BJs and the customer service received. I Didn't expect these issues, and I felt they did nothing to fix this, but to tell me to redo it all over online. BJ's! A discount warehouse that offers cheap gas and overpriced large package quantities of food. Coincidentally, they've also got a coupon book and printed coupons that you can use for added discounts. It seems a little past the point, right?? On the inside BJs is average. It's no costco but doesn't draw the same crowds. To make tacos cost us $50. Cpuld we have made 20 or so tacos? Probably. Is it realistic to shop here all the time? Not for families of less than 8 people. Not worth the membership cost. read more

I have to admit I love BJs. I absolutely love their bakery section - their guava pastries are to DIE for and their croissants are amazing and cheap (and tastes just like the stuff you'd get at high end french bakeries if you just stick it in a toaster oven for a couple of minutes). They have cheap prices on pretty much every bulk item you can think of. I get a lot veggies here too as the prices are really good (spinach for an example). I also get all of my ravioli here - it's like $10 for 50oz-60oz that would usually cost you at least triple the price in a regular supermarket. BJs gas is also cheaper than what you'd find anywhere else and it more efficient compared to many other brands. read more

BJs is a great place to shop for things like cereal, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. They have pretty good prices on meats as well but you need to be able to handle large quantities. It's not a place to do all of your shopping by any means.. The best thing about BJs though is that they have the best price around for White Star champagne! read more

BJ' food is often packaged in amounts that work better for our family. Three heads of Romaine instead of six. The deli slices meat and cheese to order. They don't shift things around all the time and check out is easy and quick. Rarely more than three or so in line. Half priced greeting cards. I've often wondered how they can devote so much floor space on such a low ticket item. But then, I always come here to get cards and usually find the present as well. So there's that. But the real reason I shop at BJ's is the baguettes. Best in our area by far. read more

Recently discovered this BJ's is now one of many locations involved in the fraudulent practice of overcharging customers on sales tax for sale price or discounted items. They are taxing consumers on the full price of the item. When I spoke to manager about this mistake on my receipt, she rudely told me that it was legal and that NC always charges customers sales tax on full price of items you purchase on sale. Flat out lie. All of my receipts from other retailers taxed me on my purchase price only, not pre-sale prices. I also discovered that other BJs locations have class action lawsuits against them for this very practice. Shame on them! I will no longer renew my membership. read more
