Joe and Doig have become friends and I have stopped shopping elsewhere, which may seem extraordinary since I live 800 miles away, but this is an extraordinary place. I have never failed to find what I was looking for there, from shoes to hats, shirts,and dress slacks. Their excellent taste and judgment are on display, reflected in menswear that is stylish, wearable, and practical. I used to avoid shopping for clothes, with the possible exception of Nordstrom's, a Seattle company with a national reputation, until I wandered into Cavalier. Now I look forward to visits. I don't always buy a lot but I always enjoy the visit, and more importantly I trust their judgment. If they recommend clothing or a style or color I know it will be complimentary to me and a good value. This is a destination store, worth traveling a ways to reach.
