One of the things that I like about Costco is that on busy days, like Easter Saturday, they prescan items while you are waiting in line. It is attached to your membership number so all you do is pay and out the door you go. The main parking lot was full, so I was expecting a wait but surprisingly, I was in and out. I also appreciate their return policy. We are moving and there are things that are unopened that I no longer have use for. No questions. Just friendly help. Same thing with price adjustments when something goes on clearance or on sale within 30 days. So glad I joined and with Giant Eagle closing, my kid joined because he thinks from my experience, it's a better value. Do look online first because I found him a deal that gave him a $45 shop card back. At customer service a customer whose main language was Spanish was trying to return something. Their membership had expired and apparently you can't return something if your membership has expired. This Costco had a Spanish speaking customer service representative who explained the policy and then had a work around where the customer could rejoin, return the items and then decide if they wanted to subsequently cancel their renewed membership. I appreciate stores who truly focus on good customer service. Costco in any city has always done right by me. read more

Compared to other reviews I had a much better experience. I needed the tires in my car rotated and balanced, and wanted to swap for nitrogen upgrade. I did not buy my tires from Costco but from the dealership. I went online and made an appointment. Went in was a little early, they were cool with that. An hour later it was all done. Their service was excellent waiting. I only paid $40.00. You won't get a better deal than this anywhere. Only draw back is there is no waiting room. I wouldn't suggest coming in on a Saturday. The food sample booth people started to come out and we didn't see them. The First Lady with a sample cart yelled at us to move out of her way and was extremely rude. This was one of the worst retail experiences I have had, and it has permanently changed how I view Costco specifically the Easton location. At 9:55 a.m., my family and I attempted to enter the store. We were turned away and told to stand outside in freezing temperatures because non-Executive members cannot enter until 10:00. We were five minutes early. We had a baby with us. The employee at the door was rude, cold, and completely unwelcoming. No empathy. No flexibility. No basic human decency. Being told to stand outside in the cold with an infant is not "policy enforcement" it's poor judgment and terrible customer service. The experience only deteriorated from there. At checkout, I was shopping with my mother. I was paying for her groceries. The cashier, Kim N, refused to allow me to pay for her items. This was handled with zero tact and resulted in an incredibly embarrassing situation for my mom during Christmas, no less. There was no attempt to handle this privately, respectfully, or reasonably. Just rigid, robotic enforcement with no regard for the people standing in front of her. After getting home, I contacted Costco administration and spoke with the Guest Experience Manager, Anthony M. This conversation confirmed that Costco simply does not care. Anthony was unapologetic, showed no sympathy, and explicitly stated that Costco has "100,000 members," making it abundantly clear that a single member does not matter. That statement perfectly summarizes the problem: there is a massive disconnect between Costco's brand and how members are actually treated. Between the freezing cold dismissal at the door, the humiliating checkout experience, and the completely indifferent response from management, it is clear that this location--and frankly Costco as a whole has lost sight of what customer service is supposed to be. My mother will be canceling her membership. I will never spend another dollar at Costco again. There are better options in this area that treat customers with dignity and respect. I highly recommend BJ's to anyone considering where to shop at least there, you are treated like a human being, not an inconvenience. Costco Easton should be embarrassed. I never have anything negative to say about any Costco. For the most part, they are all the same-- busy, busy, busy. They have excellent return policy. They have delicious, reasonably priced Kirkland prosecco and other wines. Always excellent customer service. I felt very safe and secure shopping at Costco, especially at Christmas time. The prices were outstanding in quality and variety and on in demand items, like TVs, electronics, furniture, decorative accessories, appliances, kitchen products, and even shoes and clothing (although not as complete as a department store). The grocery produce was very fresh, the rotisserie chicken was huge, juicy, and a great bargain at $4.99 for a large chicken, and the bakery was exceptional in its variety and deliciousness. Most definitely shop their refrigerated and frozen food sections. Plus, you could buy a monstrously large pumpkin pie for $4.99 and the cheese danish was the best that I have ever eaten! You can't beat the prices on gasoline at the pump too. Check out was splendid: they unload and pack your purchases carefully, and the checkout employees were courteous, swift, and professional. The restaurant food had good prices, a nice variety for everybody, and the prices were really good, especially on the enormous all beef hot dog and fountain drink ($1.49!) and large pizza ($9.99). We always save a ton of money going to Costco. I didn't even touch on the optical, travel, auto department (tires), home remodeling-type services, and vitamins or bulk packaged items. Plus, during the pandemic ordering and delivery was worry-free and life saving for our family. You can save much more than you spend on your membership price on your very first visit alone. This was my first time going to Costco. I usually shop at Sam's and of course conceptually they are the same. However I noticed the prices are higher here but the checkout lines moved faster than at Sam's. They do have a lot of healthier options snacks and produce. What can you say about Costco? You go in for one or two items and you come out with 8 to 10 items or more. Unless of course you're my husband and you go in for one or two items and come out with maybe three or four. The only problem we have with our Costco is that it's too crowded. They need another one. The staff is always great. I'm not a sampler, but even I will sample one or two items at times and has been good because then I do try new things. The parking does leave a bit to be desired, but then where it doesn't. The gas still seems to be the best in town and the price is still seem to be mostly the best too so for value, I think overall you can't beat it. This Costco is located in a great location near Easton. The parking area is big, and there is a gas station out front for those who swear by Costco gas. This particular store is set up opposite of the Polaris location. This means you enter on the left, a bit strange to me. Anyway, it's big, it's a warehouse. On my last visit I tried to eat the famous Costco beef hotdog. I got to the ketchup stand and gnats were all over it. Nasty!! The gnats were around all of the tables, and on every trash can. I'm just going to run into Costco quickly to grab one thing; I know exactly what I need. One hour later I exit pushing a cart full of wonderful things I never knew I needed. Two dozen eggs? They're such a bargain, though! Five tubes of toothpaste? I'll be stocked up for a year! Enormous box of garbage bags? I'll never run out! That's the Costco curse! It's reasonable at times, though, since you will sometimes find something amazing you really do need and want at a fantastic price, but then it disappears and is never seen again. This is a great Costco warehouse with their great gas station in front as well which is always a great deal compared with other gas stations. The warehouse is always clean and orderly. Although none of the aisles are labeled (standard for Costco), you do get the feel for things after a visit or two with foodstuffs on one side and other stuffs on the other side and miscellaneous stuffs in the middle. At the back you'll find the bakery, fresh produce, and meats. The checkout staff have always been very friendly in my experience. They have a pharmacy and an optical shop with eye exams available (though not every day). They have their own Costco brand (Kirkland) which consistently rates very highly (according to Consumer Reports) when compared with name brands. Check out their gift card selection; they usually have some incredible deals here. The membership is definitely worth the small annual fee (about $65 for the standard membership I think). Their food court is also a great stop for their classic foot long hot dog and soda for less than $2, and it's actually tasty. Overall, this is a great warehouse and Costco itself is a membership worth having! read more

I had heard a lot of good things about their glasses, but I honestly expected lower quality products. I couldn't have been more wrong! If you're just looking for frames, all you need is a current prescription and they'll get you taken care of! You can also schedule an appointment to get an eye exam. From the moment I started looking at frames, someone was helping me and answering any questions. I found a frame in the junior section, took it to the desk, and was sat down to start filling out the forms. The woman who helped me was wonderful. So nice! She told me about their deal in which you get $40 off a second pair of frames when you buy the first pair. So, I decided to buy an additional set and make those prescription sunglasses! My insurance was being a little confusing, but the employee was ridiculously kind and patient. Her shift ended in the middle of my purchase, so another employee finished the process. He was also super kind! I can't say enough good things about their mannerisms. The regular glasses frames cost $49.99 and the sunglasses frames cost $129.99. After insurance, the total for both pairs was $150. I'm very happy with that price, especially considering my old glasses cost $225 alone!! It took less than a week for both glasses to be ready. I had them bend the arms back a little bit and then I was on my way! I can't believe I haven't gone to Costco sooner. I would have saved so much money. They also provide contacts. A few years if you asked me what Costco was I would pretty refer to something close to Sam's Club or giant Wal-Mart supermarket, but even though it's comparable to that it's a different brand. This brand is also known for the products it sells in bulk with the top notch names, products and it's on brand name of Kirkland used throughout the store. Kirkland is more than just clothing, it can be household items as well. It's products that the everyday customer is really looking for when shopping at a bulk store. The customer wants clothes that will last throughout the year, so they cater to that need with the items of nice apparel. The customer may also need something specific like bed sheets, they also make that as well. Everything Costco sells are split up. Each side of the store is specific category. For instance, the produce section, then the meat and seafood is in another section, followed by the frozen food, bulk dry goods, and household supplies needed. I can always find everything I need at this Costco and more. Sometimes I even get that temptation to buy more than whats on my list, but know my limits where to stop as well. There's no doubt, Costco is the most sensible decision for bulk household items. It saves time and money to shop here for some of my family's household items. read more

Had a tire blow and went to the tire shop. They did not have the tire so they had to order it. Left the rim there so they could put the tire one. They got the tire in that day and said it was ready. I asked if they could put it on that night and they said I had to make an appointment for the next day. Considering that they don't even open up until 10 am that doesn't really help with people's work schedule. I already missed work the first day to order the tire. Members of course get discounts with how much they have purchased. A Gold Star membership is $55. This is recommended for most individuals. An Executive membership is $110. This is recommended for households that have a lot to shop for. It's better shopping here than at Sam's Club. That is owned by the same family as Wal-Mart you know. I'm not a fan of chain stores but can shop at Costco. It has all the basic stuff you'll need. Went to get a replacement card. Two people behind the counter were helping others. Two were standing around doing absolutely nothing. I was standing in line for about 10 minutes when one of guys (i believe his name was Frederick) began helping another person who walked up with a return. I looked at him, obviously frustrated. He proceeded to tell me I was in the wrong line and helped the person who walked up much later. It felt like blatant discrimination. He said he was just trying to help me. I think he could have helped me when he was just standing around looking over everyone else's shoulder. Maybe he was right, but the signage is poor and all i know is that I was there much longer. RACIST cashier turned my husband away while using his moms gold member card. She did not check anyone else's card in front of us (all white people). She also didn't tell us he could simply be added to her account- she told us we could buy a separate entire membership or leave. I used to come in here twice a week and use the same card (I'm white and it's OBVIOUSLY not my card) without any question. I called and management was dismissive of my concerns. I have been at all three Costco's in Columbus but my favorite is Easton. It is easy to get there from the south and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Great wine selection. Excellent mileage with the gas. Optometry department is a little slow with changing styles but I have several pairs of glasses from there that I like. The pre Christmas sales on goodies like Biscotti keep my service providers happy. I live alone but have many physician appointments at OSU. Costco is my reward! read more
