Stopped by to grab waters for the long weekend. There is a fast charger not far from here. Grabbed some honey crisp apples, Starbucks caramel macchiato cold brew, blackberries, strawberries and some pecan crunch nature bars. $0.05 for a reusable bag. A tad annoying I was forced to buy one since the bags are in the car. Kim waited on me and said nothing except to ask me if I have a giant eagle card to which I replied I do not. Giant eagle pharmacist was very rude with me on the phone and in person. My main pharmacist could not get the medicine so I called them and she said well it's easier just to call the doctor and I told them you could call the pharmacy they're waiting on your call they're very reliable. And she responded. I didn't say they were unreliable. Did I? So when I got to the counter tonight, I gave my last name and she shook her head and what is your first name? And she said well since you're past the certain days you don't need this medication I said, but I'm going with the doctors recommendations aren't well I suppose that's true. Absolutely rude absolutely indifferent and just stared at me coldly and not conducive to public help. White woman about 59 510 frosted gray hair short. Very very rude. Unacceptable. read more

Used to have a great gluten free selection but now they have reduced product and what they do have is mixed in together, making it difficult to find the items. They are consistently out of stock of basic items like gf chicken, crackers, bread, etc. Staff does not know where the gf items are and it's not intuitive. Not sure why they did this when every other giant eagle still has a separate section. read more

This is my go to grocery store mainly because of 'fuel perks '. This isn't a Market District Giant Eagle but they have enough of selection to do a decent weekly grocery run. Every once in a while they will get in new items to buy. Overall, check out goes quickly or doing check out myself isn't a wait. read more

I walk into Giant Eagle to see if anything changed since my review and I was so happy to see the aisles have been rearranged! I received a call from a Giant Eagle rep. who stated customers feedback was valued and important and I am proud that Giant Eagle listened and made the change! It was such an inconvenience to drive all the way to Canal to go to Kroger when Giant Eagle is right in front of my apartment. All the hair care products are in one aisle and no "Ethnic" section. Out this way and needing groceries, this was handy. It's a basic GE- big, clean, good selection, high prices. I got what I needed (plus some half-price Easter candy...) Spent more than I wanted. Service was good. It's laid out and marked pretty well- I'd never been but was able to find what I needed pretty easily. There's a Getgo station out front, reasonable prices. There are grocery stores closer to me, but I always seem to end up here because I can't find what I need at the other ones. Its a fairly new store having only been there for a few years. They have a large selection and the staff has been amazing! I came in once looking for ingredients for paella. I usually have a bit of trouble finding some of the seafood ingredients but the man in charge of the seafood department walked me through his selection and told me that anytime I needed something, let him know and he'd be able to get it for me within 3 days. That's pretty good. I've never been to another grocery store where the staff was so eager to help me get what I need. My most recent trip here was for Father's Day when I realized that my dad might like some Coke with dinner (a treat for him) and I stopped by on my way there. I like that they carry the small cans of Coke and not just the large ones and within 5 minutes I was in, out, and on my way to Father's Day dinner! read more

I like this Giant Eagle. Yes, ''tis true, I still only hit this place up for their salad bar, like the others. It's much more busy than my normal go-to GE, so this salad bar is kept stocked on a consistent basis. Plenty of room to move about the bar islands. And, it's right next to the produce section so I can replenish my blueberry/raspberry stash much easier. Most important? The usual daunting, slow as a faucet drip, check out process is much faster here. This store gets more foot traffic, so they generally are aware of the customer flow in-and-out. read more

Honestly, this is a pitiful grocery store. ( Groveport store) They capitalize on being the only grocery store between refugee and Groveport Rd and make their prices outrageous. I've all but written this location off. it really is over priced when you know the prices at other stores you frequent. The best part about this location going downhill is they refuse to order new handbaskets. Why is that? Management told me it's because customers walk out with them all the time. A typical Giant Eagle store. It has all the hallmarks of other stores, which means you can depend and know about the products and quality that you are looking for. I think what confuses me is that is arranged in reverse from the store I normally visit. (grin) Staff have helpful when I have been looking for specific items. I have had to stop at the pharmacy a few times to pick up some prescriptions for family members. Of all the areas here, these seem to be the most mechanical, but professional, staff I have seen. One is definitely a number in the process. With that said, the prescriptions are always accurate. Plenty of parking spaces and the place is usually busy. read more

I have been going to this store for 2 years now and the selection and service is amazing. I am in, take my time usually once a week. I even know some of the workers by name. The 2 managers are very nice to talk to. Their closet competitor is Kroger on Refugee road, but the service is not as friendly and seems a bit ghetto in comparison. Some say GE prices are higher, but I don't care. If I need something and can't find it, someone will walk me to where it is. If they don't have what I want, they say they can order it in. Sometimes good customer service does win over prices. One exception, the hot food section is a bit too pricey for me. read more

Very rude staff at this location. The store itself is fine, but the cashier I dealt with was not. It was a younger African-American female, and she was just horribly rude. Literally would not say a word to me and then handed me my receipt while she was facing away - like I was some sort of inconvenience. Had plenty of positive experiences at this store, but a few things make me not want to come back. First off is the difficult and impossible to use checkout lane for do it yourself. All giant eagle self checkout lanes are completely anti-customer friendly. My first complaint about that is you have to have a giant eagles reward card in order to use it. Secondly it just doesn't flow like a self checkout should. Meijer's are awesome! I'll use theirs any day but GE's are worthless and I refuse to use them. My second comment about this store is about the experience I had this morning with an unpleasant bakery worker. I needed to run into the store to get a few things and I had a cake order that is supposed to be ready about an hour and a half later, but every time I've come in earlier than I said I would, it has been ready hours ahead of time, so I thought I would check to see if it happened to be ready and save myself a trip two hours from now. I very pleasantly told the first person who greeted me that I wanted to check to see if my cake happened to be ready yet and her response was "I just walked in the store so no!". All that, before she even knew which cake I was there to pick up. Ummm gee...sorry I asked!! It's not that I expected it to be ready, but I've always been told it never hurts to ask. This Giant Eagle has a dry cleaners inside and a Huntington bank. Sometimes the employees are friendly and sometimes not, it's hit or miss around these parts. The layout of the store is a little strange to me but hey, what do I know? read more

They get a 5 just for carrying Hartzlers milk. This is a great store. Used to be the only place I'd buy groceries.

I cannot say enough nice things about this giant eagle. Excellent management. Staff is always engaging and helpful. They choose their employees well here. I even had a cashier give me tips on Bruschetta, which turned out wonderful. I love that they are improving their organic areas. Management listens to you when you bring up ideas or concerns. Management is almost always visible helping employees and customers alike, and approachable at all times by customers. I have never felt once like I was bothering them when I approached them. I even felt bad once as I knocked on the office and he was eating his lunch, but upon seeing me was up and at the door to talk immediately. I offered to come back another time, but he refused and heard my suggestion. (Mirror on the south entrance for safety). The prices are fair, specials are clearly marked and their merchandising crew is spot on. I go various times throughout the week and usually shop there 2-4 times a week, and the staff is always friendly and helpful when approached. The fuel perks are a bonus and even out the costs if you were to shop Walmart or Meijer, but the service is way better than any grocery store I've been to. I would also like to give a special thanks to the ladies in the deli, as they are some of the most amazing people. I pack my lunch for work every day, and these women are the reason I eat so well. They help me find the most nutritious and healthy meats for my lunches. They even recognized that I was getting Vermont white cheddar cheese sliced all the time, so they started pre slicing it and having it ready for me when I came in. Seriously, good luck finding service like this anywhere. I have been coming to this Giant Eagle since the day it opened and I am glad they came to Groveport. read more

Recently moved to the area and this is now the closest grocery store to me. I've only been a few times now over the last couple of weeks. Clean store and seems to have some great sales. The best part is the fuel perks. Like I said, I've only been a few times but I had already earned .60$ off a gallon! I loved that. I also think they have good ground turkey in the Giant Eagle brand. So far I like it just as well as I liked going to Kroger, maybe more. Will see as time goes on. read more

I searched for giant eagle near my new home because I love giant eagle, and remembered how my local Columbus Kroger used to be unpleasant, however this giant eagle is crap. I would prefer to give a 1 1/2 star. The produce is trash. I struggled to find anything that wasn't rotting, molding, near bad. The smell of shorted cigarettes coming from the unhappy employee was appalling. Veggies weigh an extra pound in water, everything is overly soaked. Waste of time, I will never go back. read more

We actually had switched our allegiance to GE when we lived closer, and the Kroger down the road was fairly shady and consistently under-stocked. Now that we've relocated to Canal Winchester, it takes a special trip to come here, and it's simply not worth it anymore, especially with Kroger now right down the road again. Why? For starters, most of the stuff is way overpriced. Even with the better fuel perks than some other competitors in the area, it's simply not worth it for the high prices you pay here. Second, the customer service is TERRIBLE! Not only are the people that they put on the check out lines completely incompetent, but management hasn't ever seemed to figure out that during peak hours, you need multiple lanes open with experienced checkers working. It doesn't matter which lane I pick, at what time of the day, I ALWAYS seem to get stuck behind someone that is using government assistance for their items, which holds the lane up painfully! I avoid the self-checkout lines here like the plague, because the systems are slow, and finicky. It seems like it's constantly flagging one thing or another, and having to wait for one of the aforementioned incompetent employees to fix the problem is not only time consuming, but incredibly inconvenient. In store, the times that we've tried to get staff assistance for locating products, has been mostly useless. Most are not very well trained at all, and are ineffective at actually solving anything. A lot of the problems with this store can likely be traced back to poor management, and lack of awareness to the area's peak times and needs. Sure, we'll stop by here if we're in the area for a haircut or something else, but it's back to Kroger for us - better selection, better service, and better prices! read more

The pharmacy at Groveport GE has an awesome manager, Amy, she is so nice and funny and just a down to earth person to work with. All the pharmacist tries to make sure the techs gives good service if not we are told about it as a group... Our customers are very important to us no matter what. We are like everyone else we get sick, don't feel good, but we are their for our customers! I would like to say "Thank You " ! For continuing to shop with us! read more

Incredibly over priced. Unbelievable that I can't use the self check out unless I have their discount card. Seriously?? Not impressed.

I would really like to shop at this store but I have several complaints. The first is trying to do self checkout. The computer is not customer friendly and you have to have a giant Eagle card which I always forget. Last week when I told the woman helping me I did'nt have it she looked at me and said "I don't know what to do". Really! It's a stupid card and my order is less than $5. So I borrowed one and she said "thats illegal. What? Am I going to jail over not having a GE card? Today Mothers Day I go to get a cake. My fault forgot the stupid GE card AGAIN. I should know better. The cashier who I will call R is in a nasty mood. She dumps my cake upside down putting it in a bag. I did'nt need or want it in a bag and when I try to take the bag from her she throws it on the counter. I have to move my cart and go halfway around her to get the bag. I'm short. I could'nt reach it where she had tossed it. Why could'nt you of just handed me the bag. Why? Because R was was not in a good mood. That brings me to my second problem with GE. Why are their employees almost always in a bad mood? Ge please do something to help your employees want to come to work. Good grief I'm curious what you all do make them so cranky. I have only come in contact with 2 employees that are always pleasant to me Michelle a cashier and Sam an adorable girl that is a cashier and works in the salad section.
