I would give it a zero if I could. Absolutely the worst. Ordered delivery for my daughter at college. Both times, the driver said they couldn't find the address although it was pinned on the map. I had also left my daughter's phone number for them to call to get directions. Both of the drivers only spoke Spanish, which my daughter does not understand. So, they hung up on her. The first day, I was able to cancel my order. The second day, it said the driver cancelled the order, but it is still showing pending on my account. So... onto trying to contact the store. I tried both days for a very long time to contact the store to see what I needed to do to get groceries delivered to my daughter at college and to get a driver that speaks English. Both days, no one answered at store. It just rang and rang until I got a recording to try back later. Today, I finally got through to a person. I asked to speak to a manager. I was told to "hold on" and was put on hold for a long time. Finally, someone picked up but didn't say anything. I heard someone in the background say, "just hang up on her" and the phone disconnected. Magically, when I call back, no one answers. I have no way to cancel my order online. I have not received my refund. The delivery service is crap. The drivers don't even try to deliver the items, and either can't speak English or pretend they can't. And the store doesn't answer their phone or care. Absolutely the worst delivery service and Walmart. I get delivery up here in New Hampshire at least once a week at work. Never have any problems and if I do, Walmart is very quick to fix it. The one in High Point is the worst. read more

I came here around 2:45 on a Saturday afternoon for the primary purpose(s) of getting a booster seat for a kid I'm watching for the weekend and some ingredients to make a spinach dip for a party I'm going to. I had a 6 y/o with me who had to use the restroom as soon as we arrived. I liked how they have a small sink for the kids to reach. I had difficulty looking for the booster seat. They were hidden, almost like. The same for spinach. But, I found them both along with a couple other items I needed. It was pretty busy in the store. There was a small wait for self checkout. The process was smooth and quick though. I like to use Walmart Pay via Walmart app as it gives and saves an electronic receipt! read more

Clean, good parking and really kind staff. Walmart in High Point is a bit out of the way for me but I much prefer this one to the one on Wendover. I usually come here for home goods and storage containers for my reselling business and this Walmart is always fully stocked! While they are short staffed so lines may get long, everyone is kind and moving as quickly as they can. Pro tip, use the self scanning lanes for a faster service. read more

I witnessed a woman being verbally assaulted by the associates because she took pictures of the staff because there was only one or two cashiers available. We were in line for over an hour due to the self checkout line being overpacked . She was told to go to the cashiers because she had two separate transactions. They proceeded to surround her and verbally assault her and threatened to physically assault her as well . The staff crowds around and gossip. No one wants to help when you ask for it . The self checkout line is always extremely long and the machines are always down . There was literally 10 associates for 3 lanes of self checkout. The employees aren't very nice here-- give you attitude sometimes. They seem understaffed. We had an item that was clearly overpriced and wasn't showing what we saw as the price on the shelf. We flagged over the lady for self checkout and she questioned us, putting in no effort to have someone check the price of the item to ring it into the system differently. Eventually, the manager fixed the price to the correct price, after waiting 15 minutes. She was nice and apologetic at least. :-) They are out of SO many things. The shelves are empty most of the time, making them out of stock on a lot of items. Their prices are actually more expensive then Amazon, which makes no sense. read more

This Walmart SuperCenter is right in between "A-OK" and "Yay, I'm a Fan". I frequent this location once a week for household necessities, toiletries and some light grocery shopping; I do my main grocery shopping at Harris Teeter but sometimes Walmart has fabulous prices on certain items that I would pay more for at the grocery store. I find that their prices are spot on when it comes to non-perishable items that you normally find in the middle aisles (chips, juice boxes, peanut butter & jelly, condiments, salad dressing etc). Their produce & bakery department are pretty decent but cannot compare to Harris Teeter. I'm not a fan of their deli department as they don't carry the brands that I enjoy most (Boar's Head) and I find that their meat department is lacking; today while shopping I noticed that there was absolutely no pork products whatsoever, the cold cases were completely empty. They're pretty well-stocked when it comes to wine, beer and ice tea. I've gotten a couple of workout tops and sports bras there and I find that they do have a great selection as well as XS-XXL sizing and plenty of it. Their health & wellness aisles are well stocked and prices are great. My kids enjoy browsing through the toy aisles as well as checking out all of the books & DVDs. Overall, the layout is nice and it's easy to find most of the departments. Employees attitudes range from super friendly to bored & not happy to be there. I enjoy shopping here and will continue to do so. read more

Back in the 90s, I remember the parking lot of this Walmart was used as a meeting place for the young "cruisers" who liked to cruise up and down High Point's Main Street on Friday (or was it Saturday?) nights. I have no idea if this tradition stayed alive throughout the 2000s. Doubtful. In recent years, during my visits back to High Point, I have come to this Walmart to pick up cleaning/detailing supplies for my car. Because I know where the automotive section is, I'm always in and out in a jiffy, especially since I enter/exit and check out in the Garden Center. If, for some reason, there's a long line at one of the regular checkout lanes, try checking out in the Garden Center. I've never had to wait. The automotive section stocks a decent selection of car care brands including a respectable assortment of Turtle Wax, Rain-X, and Meguiar's products. I like this Walmart compared to most other Walmarts because it's usually never crowded. This Walmart has been renovated over the past decade, so it's cleaner, more open and well organized, and even incorporates a bit of natural lighting during the day to conserve energy. read more

I ordered online pick up not because I love Walmart so much that I have the whole app installed but because it's easy recieved an email that it was ready went and parked in pick up space 10, dialed the pick up number, and heard the vm 4 times. One of the associates looked out the door but no one said anything to me at all or answered the phone. I pull up to the door and see multiple employees sitting on product, phones out, talking amongst themselves. Knocked on the door and she jumps down off the water and walks to the door. I say, "Can I pick up my stuff, please" she says I don't see an order, name? My truck is clearly parked behind me and not in a space. She says what space are you in? I say 10 I guess with a confused look. Then she let's go of the door and as its closing says everyone else checks in on the app. I pull back just to verify that there is no indication on the Walmart signage in their pick up area that states the preferred method of checking in is thru their app. And there is not. The vm does not state that there is an issue with there phone just that they are busy and leave a message. They have no clue what customer service is in this store. Unless you use tape to cover the pick up number or change the vm. How is a customer suppose to know you at Walmart are having issues with your phone? I dont want the app on my phone it reminds of poor service everytime I look at that W. What Walmart used to be and what it is now, might as well be a different store. Went to this Walmart again today, I wish I didn't shop there but it's the closest one to me and Walmart has everything. I was in the cosmetic section....again, and an associate who was sweeping with those big push brooms comes up behind me, doesn't say a word and keeps coming towards me, so I quickly scoot my buggy over so he can get by. I think everyone generally dreads going to Walmart, however this one in High Point isn't too bad. I think no matter which Walmart you go to, your going to find employees who hate their jobs but here there at least seems to be less of that. Most of the time when I come here I can find what I need because they typically keep everything stocked. My only real complaint is that they close the garden section early, I'm not sure if this is just this location or all Walmarts but today I went to see if I could look at plants at 9:30pm and the doors were locked. I understand the outside doors are locked because they don't have a cashier or someone to watch people coming in or out, but they also locked the doors that are near the pet and hygiene isle that let you into the gardening. It seems like a real loss of business if your limiting what customers can access. read more

This location has the lowest form of customer service. I ordered something online that I needed to return. I followed the guidelines in their app, and proceeded to the store to handle the return. The woman at customer service snapped at me to not open my phone as it interferes with her register and causes it to lock up; but I was following the directions on the app. She then asked me for the order number , which is on the app page. . She finally proceeded to manually handle the return, but kept making mistakes. After 10 minutes of waiting, I asked what the problem was, as I never encountered these issues at the Wendover location. Then she said "maybe it would've better if you went there to handle this return"!!!!!!! I guess she was not trained in handling returns, but maybe they felt that wasn't needed to work the customer service desk. read more

Worst customer service! I ordered an item online- Mortal Kombat X and received an email that it was ready for pick up. I stood in line with 4 customers ahead of me and it took over 30 minutes for the employee to assist the first customer in queue. There was only one person ringing customers and pulling items from the back. During the holiday season, with our new age and technology customers want items fast; thus, will pick up from store. This Walmart seems to be super sketchy and their management is very dishonest! Team Leader Katie isn't very friendly and assistant manager Erica is exceptionally unfriendly... Yes we were there for a hot commodity (ps5) but they had stock this morning and was telling the public they didn't have them even though we checked with another employee and their point of sale handheld showed they had 6 in stock and 6 on hand. I have the actual photo I took of her handheld showing it was in stock at 7:14am on 12/8/2020. I've worked retail and I know what they are doing, they're selling the units to their employees and are leaving none for customers. It wouldnt be that big of a deal if they held a couple for their employees but they held all of them! This goes against their corporate policy and formal complaints have been submitted to their corporate office. I wouldn't make that big of a deal out of it but I personally heard Katie state to another associate that "we've got 6 of these and they all can wait here all day but we're not bringing them out"... That's very dishonest and unfortunate. Assistant manager Erica is just plain rude and doesn't belong in any managerial position. Even when spending $100+ on other items right in front of her she was exceptionally snippy and belittling to a customer and even threatened multiple times to call the cops on a customer who was shopping and spending money in the store who was just asking for the store manager. She never did let me speak to Winnie the manager and told me that she'd call the cops for trespassing... This is the kind of treatment this store delivers to it's local customers. However everyone in a while I try to go for convenience and then I'm quickly reminded why I hate going. There is always only 1 or 2 lines open except for black Friday and Christmas. Absolutely no associate ever wants to help you probably because they are only making minimum wage yet look at the profit Walmart makes. Then if they open a new line instead of coming to get the next person in line they just wave and say lane 4 is now open so it's like a stampede. As an employee of this establishment and a costumer I can see both ends as a customer coming to pick up my groceries and waiting 20 minutes from time to time used to frustrate the crap out of me especially if I was in a rush however now that I've been working there for a while I see that it's a number of things that go wrong on the inside that the people that bring you your groceries can not control some times when your groceries are being picked the system will go out so items get lost, if one person makes a mistake when sorting orders in efforts to go faster everyone tries to find it which takes our attention away from the cars outside which makes them wait a little longer, also if when we are scanning your totes in to make sure you have all of your items if something is leaking or missing we have to run through then entire store, potentially get stopped by other customers, and look for the correct item because we can't locate a partial description of the item especially if it doesn't display a picture and finally get it back to the room to your order by the time we get all your items it's been 20 minutes. Our goal is to go as fast as possible and make sure you have everything you order so please try to be a little more understanding and know that we are trying to iron out all the issues with our system so that those 20 minute waits won't happen anymore. read more

I have complained several times about the insufficient handicap parking. Also, I have asked that a cart storage be installed up near the existing handicap parking spaces. Nothing has been done about either of these complaints. The attendant that looks after the motorized handicap shopping carts never has them in the store and charged. I have seen these motorized carts parked in the store isles and parked a long distance away in the parking lot. Also, the pharmacy is the most under stocked store in town, and has the most delays in getting much needed medicine. My wife's insurance only allows medicine purchases with Walmart and we have trouble weekly at this store. Now another big complaint. Grocery stock is the most inconsistent I have ever seen. The products are moved from one area to another, and most of the time I have to go to another store to complete my weekly list. Why do I bother shopping here you ask ? The cokes, snacks, and breakfast foods are priced cheaper than the other super markets in the area, and this store is the most convenient for me. I just left Walmart. I am looking to buy a tablet, and I wanted to check out options. I've done my research, but I wanted to get some advice on Apple versus Service Pro and Wifi versus Wifi and cellular from someone with electronics expertise. I stood in front of the tablets in view of the register where at times there were two employees, at times just one. I looked in their direction, and they skillfully avoided eye contact. There was no offer of help, in fact no acknowledgement of my presence at all. The service at this particular store is not the best, but you would hope in a specialized department, it would be better. I recently shopped at this Walmart location. Precisely on Friday June 15th around 6pm. I went to the bakery/ deli to get sandwich meats. As I approached I saw two other customers waiting for assistance. I waited patiently while hearing one of the associates behind the counter talk loudly to another associate behind the counter. I then ask the two customers that were waiting if they had been waiting long. The both replied yes. The one gentlmen says " they are down their just standing running their mouths. One lady came from the back and asked who was in line first and proceeded to assist. The others were still talking. I ask the talking lady if she can assist as well and she said No! I then went in search for a manager. Was directed to a guy that look to have not much interest in a resolution but offered to go check it out. Honestly dont believe it was effective.
