Clean, well stocked store in a convenient location with plenty of parking. Garden department was stocked well with a good selection of plant material, especially cactus and succulents. A Walmart delivery driver crashed through my garage door two days ago after hitting the accelerator instead of the brake, damaging my car that was parked inside while delivering my order. I have a police report and have reached out to Walmart delivery but have not received a response.The driver took a photo of the damage that now appears in my Walmart account as proof of delivery. I have the driver's information but he could provide no insurance details, and I am completely stuck at home because the garage door will not open and my car is trapped inside, which means I now have to find rides to work until this is resolved. We flew/drove in for the Electric Forest festival and decided to use this store for supplies on our way. Basically we needed a cooler and drinks/snacks and some warmer clothes, along with water. There was a good selection of foodstuffs to choose from, even some nicer niche cheeses including a locally made blue cheese that was one of the best I've eaten. More than enough choice for us. Coolers were cheap and in the middle of the aisles ready for 4th July. Only thing they didn't have was warmer clothing for us, their sweatpants/shirts were only available in XXXL, but understandable out of season. We went to the thrift store next door to get clothing and donated it on the way back. The staff were excellent, I asked for assistance from one gal and she walked me to where the sweats were and even looked around the store to see if there were any others in stock. The checkout lady was amazingly nice, she kept her till open for me, chatted while she rang me up and was just lovely to talk to. I wish I could remember her name, (Wed 19th June about noon), middle aged, blonde pony, no front teeth, just a really, really nice person. I enjoyed talking to her and her customer service was 100%. We left the festival early and slept in the car park overnight so we weren't caught up in the chaotic car jam festivals create as we didn't want to miss our connections back home to HI. There were quite a few cars doing the same from the festival and a few truck drivers too. It was safe, the store opened at 6am and had clean toilets, and the staff helped us find some compression socks in the pharmacy section for our flights. If we return to the festival we would definitely use this Walmart again. We were impressed with the staff and the service, and the clean toilets! read more

Why, it was Zone Management Day. While I finally met the Store Manager, Mehlia, I learned that Zone Management was important and customers were not important. I've tried. Tried really hard to like this store. And I've come to finally accept this it just isn't going to happen. The staff is unknowledgeable, indifferent and at times rude. And without a doubt returns are always a challenge...don't ask me about the two monitors that permanently reside in my closet. It hits me at the door and with reluctance I go in. Even ordering online and trying to pick up seems to require three people and the patience of an oyster. Not to mention the gathering of a large number of clustered other shoppers, that seem to feel that social distance and masks are far less than mandatory. Worst run WalMart ever!!! I live in AZ and Holland and travel extensively and this WalMart has zero customer service skills. They don't know how to properly stock the store (shelves are empty today in dairy cheese and milk). On a Sunday afternoon they had ZERO cashiers checking out customers. They had lights on the self check out by the pharmacy but it was roped off. People could only self check. Do we get an employee discount for checking ourselves out?There were 12-15 people in every line. A guy bought a 55" TV and had to check himself out. My husband witnessed teenagers stealing. I bet their loss prevention numbers are through the roof. They don't answer their phones and when I went to talk to a manager about opening more lanes I was shut down. Rude employees and management. The District Manager needs to step in and find new management that knows how to properly run a busy retail store. read more

Auto center is absolutely awful. If I could give negative stars I would. Unfortunately it is the only place open to patch a tire on a Sunday. So far we have been waiting over an hour and car has not been touched yet. I have no idea what the employees could be doing because they obviously have not done any work on any of the cars. On May 20, 2020 around 8:05 PM I went to get some groceries at the Holland Mi. Walmart. About 40% to 50% of the shoppers I saw were NOT wearing a face mask!!! I made a complaint to Walmart Corp. but all I received back was to take a two question survey which had nothing to do with my complaint, remade complaint and have heard nothing back (4 days). I wasn't too crazy about this Walmart, especially after being to Meijer's. The store is fine in its wide range of merchandise, although it borders into being a warehouse more than retail with how their continuous bulk restocking operations leave you weaving around pallets. Maybe it was just the time we dropped in. Other than that, I'd go if it was something that needed immediately that only they would carry, other than that I'd shop across town or online. read more

A cashier once tried to hide canned goods and ibuprofen from me. She says "have a good night" and double bags canned goods and ibuprofen so i can't see them. Before that, she reads the total after handing me a bag, which i figured was the last one, because she read the total. I go back in after realizing, WHOA, that's not right, I'm missing those items. I go in and ask the cashier if I accidentally forgot something, she says, "no I don't know what you're talking about. Sure enough, the double bagged items were right there next to the register in the bag carousel. She smirks and says "whoops" when she obviously knew exactly what she was pulling. And these fools want to be able to live from this job. Guaranteed these folks get a handout from my tax dollars, then they gotta steal from customers through deception?? I hate going to Walmart! I had to because I had coupons for hair dye that only Walmart carries. It was late around 10 pm on a Saturday. Thought hey might not be too crazy! Wrong! I was in line waiting to check out employee comes up and says "I'm only helping these last 2 people!" when I was already in line for 10 mins! They seriously need self check out lanes there were a lot of people with a few things...and some with cartfuls. 20 plus lanes and only 2 open! Goodness I can't imagine during the day! They now have self check out lanes...after I paid for my few items as I was walking out the "greeter" stopped me and my husband and said "I need to see your receipt!" Let me share my horror story. The shopping experience was actually positive. Always the low price. We found this to be true. The problem, as so many of my Yelp cohorts have indicated, was the customer service. At checkout, the party in front of us was attempting to redeem some kind of gift card with $5 of value. Here was the problem, at least for our cashier. I must pause here. I have had many fine cashiers in my many years of shopping experience. Cashiers who were nimble navigators of the checkout process. Ours today was not one of them. He was, in sum, an idiot. The application of the term idiot to our cashier is an affront to idiots. He tried to swipe the gift card five times with no success. He then asked the customer for proof of any balance on the card, which the customer supplied -- yet the cashier didn't accept the proof (in the form of a receipt). He then began furiously scraping at the card -- presumably to reveal a hidden secret code; which must have been fifty digits, because he spent the next five minutes fat-fingering them in to his cash register. If you guessed that he had a typo during the entry process you were right. Of course it failed. He then called his neighboring cashier for help. A sweet woman, I had every confidence in. But she couldn't help. At this point I almost offered to pay the $5.00 myself, but instead we found another cashier. A little better, but we had to leave without our oranges. GO TO MEIJER! This place is terrible, even for a walmart this is low! Everyone from the people who work here to the people who shop here are just... it's just bad! Trashy parking lot with carts and litter left and right. Bottle reuturn area's floor is always sticky. Half the machines are always down and to top it off there is never any soap or paper towels to wash your hands after youve returned your bottles. Never ever anymore than 4 registers opened it seems. Only 1 open at night is very commom. Expect long lines. Very unorganized and messy. I found a box of melted ice creame sandwiches on a shelf in the tools section, came back several hours later to pick up some more things and it was still sitting there. It is all to common to find wrappers, empty soda cans, opened merchandise, things were they don't belong etc. Do not buy anything that looks like it's been opened. I made that mistake with a bluetooth speaker and it was missing the remote and the charger. Restockers are extremely rude. I had aked one where I could find clearance items and he told me "I don't fucking know". It's not cheaper here than anywhere else. I spent $50 for groceries and left the store with 2 bags. I went to Meijer the next week and bought the exact same things and left the store with so much more just barely going over my $50 budget. This place sucks! read more

I was in Holland on vacation for the Christmas holidays. I had to go into this Walmart to send money to my daughter back in Texas. I walked to the money services area and found over 12 people in line and 1 person working the desk. I waited 15 minutes for this one cashier to help one customer while we were all still in line before I wanted to complain. I looked into the cashiers areas to see if I could spot a manager with no luck I called the actual Walmart and asked to speak to the store manager i was asked to explain why and as I voiced my complain about the issue with one cashier servicing the high demand department the receptionist told me they were doing the best they could. I had to demand to speak to the store manager but I was given to a department manager and she told me they were doing the best they could n that she could either sit on the phone talking to me or go help someone. She said they were under staffed and i could call 1800walmart instead. Which I did while in line I was on the phone with them for 27 minutes before they were able to get that one manager I spoke to Behind the counter and assist. They were very rude and I made some obvious comments. We are the customers that keep them in business making their company an empire we deserve to be treated better while they are taking our money. I was talking for everyone that has ever experienced needless rudeness and needless delays. There was no absolute reason for that store to be understaffed during the holidays and there is no reason for them to expect us to take it kindly to be robbed of our precious time. You need to take a stand when you go inthere and are treated this way. It is ridiculous and unacceptable. I will voice this as much as I can for as long as I can. Something needs to be done to make this location more efficient. They need to recognize that they are not doing the people of Holland any favors by being there and treating customers like we are not important. This experience is being voiced because I paid large money to vacation in this town and experiences like this can keep people away from the town not only the store. read more

Here we go again. Thanks once again Walmart! I don't understand why I keep wasting my time here! I'm a minute from Walmart in five minutes from MEijer. And I would still be saving a whole lot of time by going to MEijer. Thinking I'm going to run in quickly to print graduation invitations. Yasmin Ballman is walking home in the meantime. My pictures print from the machine I'm working on. It pops out a receipt that does not have a price or barcode. I walked back to the photo counter no one around. Grab dog food and head to the front. Figure self check out would be the quickest scenes how there was no line. I asked the attendant how to pay for my pictures. She proceeds to tell me that everything should been taken care of in the back of the store and asked me how I was able to receive my pictures without paying for them. I simply replied, they came out of the machine. She gets on the phone to call her manager. And comes back and says, the managers says that you have to go to the back to purchase these pictures. I told her for the second time that no one was back there. She stated, I told my manager you were going to see that. I waited while she attended two other people including people Who wanted her to ring them up personally. Which I really don't understand scenes how she was attending the self serve lanes. After 15 minutes I was able to pay the $16 for the pictures. Had I been like anybody else, I would've never said anything and walked out without paying for the pictures. Because I'm an honest person, I asked how to be charged for them. In return the lady was so rude! Need to stop shopping here! read more
