Not sure why I decided why I wanted to stop off at Walmart over my standards Target / Kroger / HEB or any other store... WalMart always seems to have the worst customers, employees, store set up, and cleanliness. The organization was horrible and some of the food aisles arent correctlt labled. Self checkout was quick and easy, probably since the regulars cant figure them out. The parking lot was a wreck and the Hwy 6 traffic traffic by the light on Hwy 6 isnt convenient. This is by far, the worst Wal-Mart that I have ever had the displeasure of visiting. Where shall I start? The parking lot is a death trap. People fighting over front spaces. Shopping carts blocking each space. No cart collectors seemed to be working while I was there. If you don't bring a burning hot cart with you from the lot, you won't get one. None inside the store. The Greeter? Nice old Irish lady. She is the one who earned the star for this review. The rest of this store is a disgrace..even by Wal-Mart standards. Take all of the above complaints and add mine to it. All I can say is that they pay a whole bunch of employees to walk around and do nothing except socialize with each other. Maybe Wal-Mart is using this store as a singles club for it's employees. Also, the few times that I have been there? No AC. I get cranky and stop buying things when I begin to drip with sweat. I head right for the self checkout because the lines are miles long. I grab a cold drink, check myself out on a dirty, broken machine and I leave..vowing never to return. I think from now on it is worth the extra gasoline to go to another Wal-Mart besides this one. read more

The battery on my car died and I made the choice to go to Walmart to get a battery. I went inside and waited patiently for some help. The man at the counter skipped us twice. We went use the computer and try to get the battery. We found the battery ourselves but were unsure. After waiting in line again we finally were able to check out. We tried to ask the man 6 times if the battery we has was correct. He told us yes and the didn't have time to do anything else. He rushed us out and so off we went. Well. It turns out that this is the wrong battery size and other stuff and when we went back he told us that he couldn't help and wouldn't give us the money back. We had to argue and finally we got our refund. But we won't be going back to this place. read more

The employees were very welcoming. The greeter was so nice and soft spoken. We all know Walmart to have everything but sometimes you go in there with doubt and ask someone if they have a certain product and they amaze you by saying yes they do, and all for affordable prices. This particular location is easy to get in and out of also! read more

I am handicapped and need a motorized scooter to shop, I was at this location about 6:30 during the week. Two scooters were available. One didn't work, the other was being slept in buy a man wrapped up in his blanket. I asked the greater to get security for me. She mumbled something and asked me ( I'm 70 yrs.) if I told him to move. She then told me "he's always there especially when the weather is bad". I feel bad for him but, I wanted to shop and spend money. I left read more

I agree with most of the reviews here, this Walmart should just close down or hire ppl who would act like they want to work and help customers out. This place needs a makeover, new employees/more employees, or just better management.. overall just save yourself some slack and go to target on Richmond. read more

This review is for the pharmacy inside Walmart. I called in yesterday to order the drug for my wife. They put me in 5 mins hold. After I got the hold of the staff she said hello I said hello back and told her please wait 1 min let me get my wife. Seem like she dont want to wait for us so she quickly hand up the phone just in 2 seconds. That was really mean. I have to call back and place the order again, I was a little bit shock by the poor customer service. We went next day to pick up the prescription and so far we have to wait for one of the staff go run the insurance. We have wait over 20 mins and still no words from them yet. The staff help us today is Shandra or something her name tag is really mess up I could not read it. She not listen to our simple request, she do her job very quick, which is good but I think that she may be too quick. I like to go to this walmart because it is the one closest to my home. read more

Went in to just get a couple of things and found some great deals on the clothes...my friend and I put our things in one basket together so we decided to use the self check out...the other customers seemed annoyed which made me laugh because 10 items or less line was empty but they waited for us to check out like dummies...one l as lady even made a comment and l repiled if she had any basic common sense she wouldn't come to a store especially Wal-Mart at 7pm thinking the service.would be.fast...despite the reviews l favor the Wal-Mart on the Beltway and Beechnut... read more

This review is for the vision center.I am complaining about unprofessionalism. It seems that is long gone from all businesses! When you call a customer's home to leave a message the right thing to do is say first and last name or last name. It is very rude and disrespectful to call and only say only a first name. Joined yelp just to write this review. I call the night before and was told the lube center opened at 7:00 the next day. When I arrived at 7:30 I was told only 1 employee was scheduled and two were needed to do a simple oil change. After waiting for the second employee (scheduled a full hour after"opening") I watched as only one employee stayed anywhere near my car while the other ambled aimlessly about. Open 24 hours. But the garden center closes at 9:00 pm. Walmart has run out almost every small business shopping store with their superstores yet have only a few registers open almost every time I go in there, despite the Numerous registers they have but won't hire staff to run them. Now that they have monopolized the market, shut down the mom and pops shops claiming to be 24 hour convenience mega store only to get in there at late hours to not have access to most anything bc most departments all close when the used to be mom-pop shops did. How disappointed I am. Actually sickened. Frustrated. If the mom and pop shops and the smaller business franchises were still around I would prefer to shop them. But Walmart squashed them with their mega stores in greed and disillusioned promise of the 24 hour mega stores that you can only access till 9:00 pm. What a scam. A lie. If u work odd hours the 24 hour store was a promising fit. You could get your garden center and deli services around your schedule. But that was all a lie. These mammoth stores with skeleton crews is ridiculous. I wish a corporation will come and run walmart out like Walmart has done to the market but keep their promises to the consumer which Walmart has not. read more

This is the worst Walmart ever. I called up there to ask if they sold jello shot cups and was placed on hold three separate times, probably while they looked for someone that spoke English. I called this store 4 times and by the third I asked for a manager and once again was placed on hold. I was able to go to party city, buy what I needed and drive to Walmart afterwards all while still being on hold! I asked to speak to the manager who was in her office and she didn't want to come out of her office. When she saw I was not leaving she reluctantly came out looking like she didn't want to be bothered. I asked her if she knew that there was a customer on hold waiting to speak to a manager and she said she did not. I told her I called called 3 separate times and been placed on hold for a total of 45 minutes all because I needed one simple question answered. Walmart clearly does not pay their employees enough to care and it shows in their customer service or lack thereof. I will never go to this store again. read more

OK I know, what do I expect from a Wal-Mart right. Well, for starters how about your store not look like it got hit by a hurricane. They have God knows how many employees either stocking (or just blocking the isles doing nothing you pick) or just standing around yapping yet none of them are picking the crap up that is just lying all over the store. Next, and I know this has to be asking way too much for Wal-Mart to do but if there is stuff broken or clothes filthy on your shelves how about removing them. Nobody is going to buy this crap yet you are hard pressed not to find an isle that does not look like it should be in the Goodwill. Like others have said, they have what, 40 registers yet none are ever open. Why waste the fricking space on them if they are never used! The bathrooms, I have been in outhouses that are cleaner then theirs are and the McD's there, all I can say is eat there at your own risk. Even though this is the closest Wal-Mart to where I live, if I have to go to one again I would rather drive to Alaska than go to this dump! read more

Worst Walmart ever! I've been to this store several times and each time, the store has been absolutely filthy and in total disarray. The employees working in the store are extremely rude, even when you're trying to let them know that you saw a customer shoplifting. And while I'm on the topic of customers...oh my gosh, this is the store where Walmart shoppers get a bad reputation! They will flat out plow you over, they let their children run amuck, and they often proudly display what their mamas gave them, even if it's actually what too much Whataburger gave them. Disgusting! If Yelp would have let me, this store would have earned zero stars. So I guess the one star I'm giving it goes to the cashier. She was the only thing positive from this entire shopping experience. I can easily say I will never shop there again. Don't waste your time shopping there. Go to any other Walmart, but stay clear of this one. read more
