If you are so enraged at corporate America taking over from the family businesses, and you took out that rage by putting your fist through the partition between your room and the adjoining room, then how do you fix that big hole in the wall? Um, it's obvious. You go to Wall-mart. Not to be confused with Whalemart, which is where you shop for very fattening foods. Although people do that here too if we're being honest. So this is the Walmart that is located on Kirkwood in the Far West suburbs of Houston, and I have to admit that it's not my favourite. It's huge and endless and service is generally pretty average, but sometimes can be good depending on what you get. So it's a mixed bag. They had exactly what I needed though in the way of an exercise bike which a lot of other locations didn't have. So that was definitely a good thing. Overall I would say they're one of the better locations that I have been to in the Houston area for sure.

I was parked right infront. They never answer phone.

I came to pick up curb side order. It took over 30min for someone to kind off approach me and didnt even pay attention to what i said and walked away quicker than speedy gonzalez, so I stand outside my car to see if i can catch someone attending and a girl wants to come out to tell me to wait in car but doesnt ask if i need anything. In that case i could of just gone inside and purchased my self. Please get them trained to atleast pick up phone because it sends you straight to voicemail.. super unprofessional. Trying to save time ordering online, it just turns into a major waste of time and headache!

This was one of the nicer Walmart I've been to in the US, it was clean, peaceful, as I love the access to so many self check outs that have operable conveyer belts the length of a traditional check out conveyer belt.

I consider this Walmart Supercenter is much better place to shop compared with the one near my house in Chinatown. Store attendants are much friendlier and store displays are organized. With exception of holiday merchandise, they're all over the places. I was mistaken as a store clerk because I wore my blue polo shirt in the gardening department where Christmas trees were. A lady asked me where to find boxed Christmas cards. Oops. Yeah, whatever. If I knew where ornaments were, I could have guessed. I was here for craft paints to touch up our handmade wall decors. At that tiny craft department, everything was nicely stocked. I found a clerk stocking the shelves while assist customers. Very pleasant scene. Upon check out, I was a little disappointed with my highly regarded experience. I was using a gift card from a while ago. Speaking of Walmart gift cards, they don't expire. But, the technology changed. It didn't have a magnetic strip. So, the cashier called a manager for help. Not sure why she wasn't responding but continued stocking shelves. I tried to crack jokes with the cashier while she was embarrassed. No problem, it's holiday time and I think they work super hard to deal with people. I'd say about 10 minutes later and after 2 other customers got turned away, this so-called manager finally walked away from her station. I saw her shirt with a banner said "holiday helper" but wearing it upside down. Really. I wanted to bust out laughing. Instead. I kept my cool and moved on.

Pros: - cheap prices - has most essentials I need - nearby Cons: - slow and "doesn't seem to care" employees - one creeper that was waiting in his car asking if you need help with your stuff. Uhh no I don't. That's what the shopping cart is for. - strange lady waiting outside the entrance asking if you can give her a ride to Westheimer because it's raining and it wasn't even raining that much and Westheimer is right there. - the "order online, pick up in store" area has no employee working there and if they do, they are slow or inexperienced. - angry customers walking around or parents who are yelling at their kids.

Notice he isn't wearing mask correctly

This Walmart is awful. I was waiting again at razor cage - waited twenty minutes after asker a manager for help and this person came over to tell me - sorry you have to come back tomorrow, no one can find the keys Get better people running this store. I'm in weekly and it's a mess !!! And employees aren't wearing masks correctly or at all

Price is right there with multiple hampers shown for $7.48

I tried to give them a zero! Horrible customer service! Had hampers stacked multiple for $7.48 and charged $17.98 at the register. Told the managers one stated to check the barcode as if I'm a worker and then the other one Brianna stated she could take off 10% because it was a price error! They were short, rude, and not professional when it came to the patron. I will never return to this Walmart again!

I go to Walmart mostly for three reasons: 1. White Cloud Ultra 3-ply toilet paper: OMG! Great toilet paper only sold at Walmart! 2. Oil changes 3. If I really, really, really, really have to. Anyway, this Walmart is really a hit or miss. I've been going to various Walmarts to get my oil changed. And I've been to this Walmart plenty of times. Sometimes they would do a good job. Sometimes they would do an okay job and make me wait forever even when there's only one other car in front of me. Sometimes, they would make me wait forever and then tell me that they can't change my oil. Wait, What?!?!?! Can't change my oil? What the...? Yeah, one time I came here and I waited almost a full hour for my oil change. I was just waiting inside, perusing whatever crap they had for sale. Reading magazines, playing video games, and what not, right? They called my name over the loudspeaker so I went on my happy way back to the lube and express area to get my car ONLY to be told that they hadn't changed my oil because they couldn't do it. The technician then promptly told me that she (Yes, SHE) was unable to drain the oil because apparently the plug was stripped. So she told me to go to the last Walmart where I had changed my oil and asked them to replace to plug. I thought, "crap! This sucks" but I went to the other Walmart (off of BW8 and Beechnut) only to have the technician came out WITH the plug and told me, "it's not stripped. She just doesn't know what she's doing." Anyway, that was one of my worst experiences at this Walmart. As for their organizations? Eh. Products are missing from the shelves. Prices on the shelves aren't matching with the products. Electronic models (laptops, video games, TV's) are in bad shape. Like I said, if it's not for toilet paper, or oil change, or if I really, really, really, really, really have to. I wouldn't come here. And to be honest, if the BW8 location was closer, I'd rather just go there for oil changes.

The parking was a bit of a challenge, but it was easy enough because it was a calm Tuesday morning. To get from the parking area to the store, you just take the elevator one level down, and then you're right inside. This place is surprisingly big, filled with all kinds of snacks, cookies, and coffee. The highlight for me was their shawarma breakfast wrap. It was top-notch and exactly what I needed. You choose between whole wheat or white pita, and it's filled with scrambled eggs, your choice of fresh or sautéed spinach, and they add potatoes as well. Then they top it with shawarma chicken, tomato, and a delicious sauce. For $8.5 it was worth every bite. Hands down, a five out of five. I also tried their coffee, which was just a standard brew sitting in ice for hours and nothing special. At $2.50, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. The real stars were the cookies. I got a coconut pecan cookie and an almond crunch cookie, and both were absolutely delicious. I didn't have time to explore the whole store, but there was a great selection of fresh produce, chocolates, and all sorts of small treats. Overall, the staff were really friendly, and the entire visit was smooth. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Five out of five stars!

My father wanted bakery items for breakfast and settled for the usual Hostess and Hostess-like choices you'd find at, again, a convenience store. However, the gentleman behind the register was pleasant and helpful. A customer came in and while checking out casually mentioned he had a close friend die the day before in a car crash. I know it seems backwards, but you're way less likely to get approached by someone asking you to buy them something. For the record, the store doesn't feel unsafe--homeless unsafe--but sometimes, you just want to grab your groceries in peace. Now, something that never fails to annoy me: one of the entrance doors is always locked. Every time. So you're forced to walk around to the main entrance. Minor, but annoying. Thankfully, the elevators from the garage always work, so silver lining there if you park downstairs. Today I was reminded of another classic Randall's feature: the smell. I stopped in on my bike to grab some veggies and, like clockwork, was hit with that signature aroma, somewhere between a porta-potty and a city park at noon in July. I think it was coming from outside this time... but I've definitely caught a whiff inside before too. Is it overpriced? Yes. Is it so conveniently located that I keep coming back anyway? Also yes. To be fair, the prepared food section and the bread game are on point. If carbs are a love language, this place is fluent. Bonus points: they've added EV charging for our green-driving friends. But I think they shrank some of the parking spots. I watched a jacked-up truck on stilts struggle to park in a handicap space. Waiting for the driver to hop out onto the hood of the next car over.

I grabbed some drinks and snacks, and the variety was just okay but not great either. Maybe it was just because I went at night, but the warm food didn't look very fresh or appealing. But what was their fault? Not actually giving me half of the things I did manage to order! I got home, excited for my stash of groceries, only to realize I had basically made a charitable donation to HEB. No cheese. No sour cream. No coffee. NO MAPLE SYRUP. The donuts? Trash. Here's what I love about Central Market: the produce, salads, sandwiches, meats, seafood, wine, cereal, yogurts, bread, coffee, ice cream, spices - actually pretty much everything. You can save 20-30% each shopping trip with their offers and coupons. Make sure you add the deals in your app before you go to check out. (This part is a little annoying.) - ice cream section: buy the Hellenika Ube coconut. Just do it. Taste it and you can thank me later. It will change your life. If you want to overpay for it, fly to Seattle and find it at Pike Place Market. - stop buying spices like peppercorn and coriander seeds in bulk that are stored in bottles and jars. Go to Central Market and just buy exactly what you need for your recipe. You'll spend 24 cents for this and 58 cents for that, etc. Not $5 for a jar of spices that will lose its flavor or expire after a year. And the big question everyone asks: Central Market or Whole Foods? Whole Foods has way more locations, but CM takes the cake. It's just amazing. Trust me.
