I went to the site to store pick up line, and there was a really long line because Xmas layaway was the same line as store pickup. There was ONE PERSON working at ONE REGISTER. After waiting 30 grueling minutes to get to the register, she tells me it will be 30 mins to go get my microwave from the back. WTF?! There were two other employees just standing there looking bored! I used to like this Walmart very much. However, after last night (7/28/13), I no longer like it. Believe it or not, I got robbed at the parking lot. It was so surreal. The robber was in his car snapped my handbag while I was walking to my car. He dragged me on the ground as I was trying to get my handbag from him but no use. I strongly recommend NOT TO SHOP there at night. It is a "ghetto land". Police came as some folks called 911, but still, I don't feel safe there anymore. I don't really know if I wouldn't get robbed if I go there during the day. The deal is that crime is everywhere. The store should consider having more security not only inside the store but outside as well. More than likely, it wouldn't happen as Walmart now is Ghettomart. If I did my shopping online, I would have been safe and sound. read more

Mortified! Cashier was ignorant and didn't know how to process a check. She humiliated me insisting my account must not be valid. She asked for my ID twice to verify my information and finally called a supervisor over and the check worked just fine. read more

I live about a half a mile away so I'm her quite often lol the staff is friendly, some can use an adjustment but majority are super friendly!!! Clean, in place but as with every Walmart I've been to the lines are long and not enough registers open but the CSMs are quick to jump on a register and help out; not just bark orders. read more

I went into the store at 1118 Silber Rd, Houston, TX 77055 and had the WORST experience EVER in a Walmart. I was able to find some Halloween sweatshirt and long sleeves shirts for my son-in-law homeless ministry. I was so excited to find them because I knew how much they would appreciate them. While checking out I notice several employees gathering but I continued to scan my items. As you my know, Halloween item have reach 95% off. So you understand my excitement to get these items for .50 each. I made sure to scan each item individually and to place each item in a bag. While exiting the store, the young lady at the door as me for my receipt. Which I didn't understand because I had everything bagged. I notice she held my receipt a long time while looking around. I asked her if there was problem and she said no and gave me my receipt back. As I exit out the door, 2 big men in plain clothing come up to me and ask me for my receipt as if I had been stealing. They had not presented their Walmart badges. I asked them, and who are you and why do you want to see my receipt? They said we work for Walmart and showed me their badges at that time. The ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS SOOOOO EMBARRASSING!!!! I do not steal, never have and never will. If God have not given me the means to pay for it, evidently I don't need it. and especially .50 clothing.... After giving them my receipt, they are going through my items, tumbling up my sweatshirts that I had placed neat in the bag.... I asked them if there was a problem, neither responded. I asked them again if there was a problem and again neither responded. The guy handed my receipt back and I left. Again the ENTIRE EXPERIENCE WAS SOOOOOO EMBARRASSING..... and I had done NOTHING wrong. I will NEVER EVER NEVER shop in another Walmart again. If this is how you are treating your guest that scanned EVERY item, this is ASHAME. I've been behind people in self check out that didn't scan all their items and they walk right out the store with no problem. To have not only employees but customers look at me, like I've been stealing was the lowest of the lowest. read more

I think the only way a Wal-Mart can get 5 stars is if it's brand new.... bingo. Of course you've gotta take advantage of an opportunity to have a pleasant experience shopping at a Wal-Mart while it's still considered new. Everything's in suuuuch nice condition! Lots of their produce actually seem cleaner than some of the grocery stores around there; & it's all at the lower Wal-Mart price so it's win-win. It's really nice being very kindly greeted when you walk into the store. Everything's really clean, really organized, still really cheap, & even the check-out experience is lovely 'cause the people they've got at the registers are very pleasant & very nice. & leaving the store is just as pleasant as when you walked in (for you've got the greeter also thanking you & wishing you a good day). This has to be the cleanest Walmart I have ever seen. Granted I usually go around noon when I assume it's not its busiest, but still the cleanest I've seen. Not only that but their employees are very helpful and friendly. Usually, I have plenty of reusable bags that I prefer to use instead of the plastic Walmart bags and the cashiers are ALWAYS pretty good spirited about bagging my stuff into my bags rather then the plastic. This has to be my favorite Walmart thus far! read more

This is by far the best Walmart I have been to in Houston. It is the only one that I go to. It is clean and everyone is nice. BUT, it is so HOT inside the store. I don't know if they have AC problems or not but it can become incredibly uncomfortable while walking around. read more

Called ahead to ask if they could print pictures on cakes and the person on the phone said yes that all I had to do was bring a picture. So I show up to do the order and the lady at register gives me a paper to fill out and I ask about picture and she says she can't do that. I'm confused considering I was told yes so I go up to an assistant manager who gives me an attitude and treats me like an idiot for even wondering why they cannot do it. She spits out some bullshit explanation about copyright issues but honestly i can tell it was just laziness. WILL NOT BE RETURNING. read more

Just not a Walmart fan, but when I need an every-day item at a low price, I do head to Walmart. Now, there is nothing sexy or fascinating about this experience. There are no trendy knicknacks that catch your eye, imported decorative items or anything that shouts style. Just T.P., cleaning products, etc. Now, the store is well-kept, clean, and the sales associates are all around and helpful. The parking is ample, although not shaded, and the location is great. Last night went around 8 pm or so. Was looking at some clothing items and the associate would not move the clothes rack in front of the items so I could not access to see them all. Isn't the customer supposed to come first? I don't have to shop at this store but they forget that. Then a manager came up and he was not any help. He was only interested in flirting and speaking some inappropriate language with the two female associates. I left that department because I seemed to be interrupting their party. What happened to respectable behavior in customer service? I almost forgot I first went to return one thing to customer service, a nightmare. No less than 5 employees were huddled trying to figure out one return. I came in and immediately my CSR left her register to join the other conversation. Then more associates came up and started new conversations. I stood there patiently, thinking surely the lady would notice the line forming and come back to her register. Finally after talking with her friend she got back. Only she ignored me and immediately asked a lady who just rolled in on a scooter if she needed help. She wasn't even in line, came to throw something away. So I said ,"I have been here". That made the CSR seemingly irritated. All I know is too many employees were involved in one return and none of them seemed interested in helping the rest of us. How many Walmart employees does it take to process a return? Answer that riddle. I go here a lot, near home but probably will find another location. Lots of things out of place and lots of prices missing from shelves. I was exhausted by the time I left. The one plus is the cashier's. The cashier's are always very friendly and sociable. read more

Not really happy when I come here, sometimes the shelves are missing things and the produce section is eff'd. When it comes to stationary type things though they seem to have a lot. The greeters at the door (security really, with their markers on receipts) is a bit much. read more

I absolutely love this store! I live on Silber Rd and find myself at Walmart almost every day. The employees are always there to greet me at the door and the bathrooms are always clean! They never are short of handi wipes to disinfect the cart handles. One of the best Walmarts in the nation if you ask me. read more

Disappointed that they close their store at 5pm. I asked the manager why and he said they close early due to the curfew set by the Mayor for the Hurricane...but the curfew is at midnight...Krogers on Wirt is open until 9pm which is practical for people who actually work. They also have cheaper gas, Walmart went up on their gas price. read more

I want to express my disappointment with cashiers, stockers, floor staff, assistant managers, managers, only because I am a business manager myself. I guess I expect more because I give 100% when I am clocked in at my job. In retrospect, I totally understand that most of the staff employed are either temporary, seasonal, young, millennials, paid minimum wage, etc. I understand that most of the staff hates their job, and is expected to do no more than show up for work... And I understand how hard it must be for management to manage these uninspired individuals. This is the catalyst that makes the management just as unhelpful as the team they supervise. Good thing I usually shop at this store with a general idea of what I want and where to find it. Because otherwise, no one at this store would be any help. read more

Yes I'm giving this location 5 stars. One of the nicer Walmarts. It's well stocked, shopping carts aren't scattered all over the parking lot, plenty of parking, plenty of self check out lanes, and a nice deli. Of course, I go on a weekday morning, before work, so maybe that's why I haven't experienced any issues. read more

Have used this store since it's opening. No more. Never a handicapped cart available for the handicapped. 500 pounders and kid brats have them all and never plug them in when finished. Neither do employees. Tried to use my bank card in the pharmacy today and it was turned down. Twice. Went to my bank, they checked and said UNTRUE. I have used the grocery pickup service and it is PREMIUM. The rest of the store stinks. I won't be back. Management is totally ambivalent about customers satisfaction. I hate losing the grocery pickup service, but it can't compensate for the rotten treatment I receive otherwise. Too bad. read more

This is my favorite Walmart. I visit this Walmart all the time, but today I was amazed on how I was helped. I ordered some school shorts and pants for my daughter, but she couldn't fit them. Virginia helped me look for khakis for her. She went out of her way to go in the ladies and girls department to find shorts and pants for my daughter. I really appreciate the help Virginia. Of the several Walmart's in the area I prefer this one. My only complaint is a poorly stocked craft department and the lack of bolt fabric. Otherwise this is a great store. The staff go out of their way to help, even giving us free water while we waited for our cab in the summer heat. read more

If there was a negative rating on the stars I would have given it. The associates do not look you in the face, don't say hi, or even offer to help. If one is on break there's no way to get help. Whatever you do, DO NOT eat at the deli. There are many health violations with half cooked chicken to dirty dishes contaminated with human blood. They are forced to come to work sick unless otherwise decided by the manager who may make 150k+ a year but still doesn't have an MD. Shop and eat at this store at your own risk. I'll never eat or shop there again. It's a sad thing when someone from Arkansas says these things; however true and documented. read more

Fyi, there are no iPhone 8s at this store. Worst customer service. The staff was very disorganized and some were very rude. Went through a long, messy process trying to get the iPhone 8. After being sent around to several sections of the store, signing an appointment log to purchase and activate the phone, coming to the store 3 separate times, calling up to the store to check on the status, the wireless center did not open when they were supposed to and sold the 5 phones they have in stock before our arrival. We were the third name on the list. They consistently told us they'd call us to set up the appointment and still did not do that. We were given lots excuses, and we were given plenty of attitude from the older, platinum-haired associate. She even told us to call to another store to check their availability instead of doing it herself AND asked us why we didn't go to our local Walmart instead. Thankfully after 20 minutes of waiting, we were able to speak to the assistant manager of the store who checked to see if the phone would be on the next order, which it was not. So disappointed in this terrible experience. read more

Not being from Texas, if this is one of the better Wal-Marts then I feel sorry for the Wal-Mart corporation. You have to watch prices carefully things are extremely missed placed I am not talking about a customer moving something I am talking about a while shelf of misplaced items of the same thing. Asking for help finding something they just don't ask they don't want to help, they don't want to call anyone to help and wanting for a manager is like a half hour plus. I guess I am also at a disadvantage because I don't speak Spanish but I do know a few words believe me if they don't know you know some words they will stand there and speak about you. There are a few good employees but they don't seem to last long. I used to work for Wal-Mart at customer service and as a cashier. It is a real shame that it has gone to hell as much as it has. One more thing if you have to wait in the customer service line plead be prepared to wait and wait and wait. read more

Please hire more cashiers!! I've had to wait in line for a LONG time (with 3 items...) because the self checkouts were closed and there were only 3 cashiers working in the entire store. I would give this store a much higher rating if a sensible amount of cashiers were working. read more

Way better than other Walmarts. It is pretty busy, but at least it's not chaos like the other Walmart locations. You can shop and have a reasonable expectation of getting through the line pretty quickly. read more
