Its value proposition translates to vulgar, mean-spirited and unlawful acts by the substitutes for leadership and diminishes the reputation, sends the trajectory of the brand to uncompetitive lows and reduces its spheres of influence in the community. Choose Walmart or Costco over WINCO and be treated as a valued customer and not subjected to the vile substitutes for store leadership that permeate all aspects of the customer journey.

From the pervasiveness of untrained employees, to the persistence of losing good employees (checkers), to the rows of unpriced products, an always filthy restroom, and the absence of staffing the front desk or staffing it with again, untrained help. Your complete absence of leadership culminates in a failure across the entire customer journey. Store #155 resides in the failed KMART building. It looks like Winco is going to fail here too. BTW if you don't pay your employees a living wage you will not be able to keep good employees or motivate them to do their jobs well. When I was in Yellowstone and stopped at the small convenience market, which you expect to have high prices on anything - the exact jar was $3.50 I feel there needs to be some oversight to this market or a different clear fair way to manage - because the young people there cannot begin to start families and survive staples in the city that they love and call home.

This is not a store for one on a strict budget, but if you follow their ads and can shop their sales you can do well enough for a splurge or two. I agree with some of the other reviewers about the produce. It's hit or miss. The last few times, it's been good, at least early on the weekend. As the week goes on, the quality gets less. Shopping here is a matter of timing I've come to learn. With all that said, though, there are some good organic options in nearly every category, including the vitamin section. What has impressed me are the employees, with a few exceptions, they are friendly and helpful when I'm looking for something particular. I've tried a few of the store branded things, most of them are just as good as similar branded items. The natural cleaning products for instance, the glass cleaner, is good and doesn't have that vinegar or ammonia smell. That stuff makes up for some of the other less than stellar products. The store-branded non-GMO, organic, nuts and alternative flours are also winners. Natural Grocers has an impressive library/catalog or whatever you want to call it, in the back corner with information available on supplements, minerals, food and ingredient guides, and the like with a cross references. It's like having a compendium without having to buy multiple books to get the same information. From time to time they offer classes on healthy eating in their test kitchen in the back. Although Covid has put a halt to the test kitchen food preparation classes, according to the employees, those classes will be coming back at some point.

A man in a Hawaiian shirt wearing the badge naming him as manager gave my elderly mother her order with expired food products in it and before he even handed it to us the jar of jelly was cracked open leaking jelly into whatever other salvageable aspects of the order there were. Thanks for that.
