Had to get a mini fridge for my truck. Called the night before to see if they had the model i was looking for. Sure enough they did. Got there at 08:00 on a saturday morning. Plus members get in at that time. Ladies were all very nice and helpful. Was able to use my Sams card and the extra 43$ of credits. Got my rig in and out. Parked by Cabellas with the other RVs. I am a plus member of Sams Club and shop at the Billings Montana Club. I am giving them a 5 star rating because of there employees. One in particular is Judy at the Billings Club. As you know, customer service is a thing of the past now days. Not the case with Judy! She is always so helpful and if she can't help she will find someone who can. She truely goes above and beyond and makes it a pleasure to shop at Sams Club. Always try to get in her check out lane. I hope she is valued by Sams Club as much is she values the customers. Well stocked store with gas pumps that include diesel fuel. Newer store with shopping carts whose wheels all travel in the same direction. Easy checkout and helpful, friendly employees. Parking lot is well laid out. We spent the night here in our RV. It was fairly quiet at night even though the highway is fairly close. Easy off, easy on. read more

If you're trying to make a Sams vs. Costco decision... Sams Club - crowds are significantly easier to deal with vs. Costco. Parking is great. Selection of produce is not great, seafood selection is awful. Meat and poultry selection decent, but not wonderful. Costco trumps them in all of those areas. The tire department is cheaper than Costco, but the service sucks. After spending $1000's on tires, we are treated like an inconvenience anytime we need a rotate/balance. They are also impossible to get ahold of - they NEVER answer their phone in the tire department. Gas lines can be long, but definitely easier than Costco. The supervisors in green vests at Sams all seem to really think they are important - but usually are just standing around doing nothing to manage the store or customer experience. If you're not bothered by long lines and crowds, Costco is your better choice. If you need quick and easy, Sams it is! read more

BILLINGS, MONTANA -- CLUB # 4805 : Watch-out for a young female employee with the name "Tam" on her nametag. She walks around the "front end" / check-out lane area with a wireless scanner in her hand. If two or more people are checking-out together she will mess-up your check-out process royally. If she asks to see your membership card DON'T let her see it. The manager said it's ok if you tell Tam to move-on to another customer. Its a battle between my wife and I, she loves costco, but I prefer Sam's club, Sams for those of us in concessions, catering they have a better selection and they will buy back any unopened product. Funny they are part of wal-mart but you will find some electronics cheaper here. Plus they always have the cheapest gas in town read more

Used to think this was a good shopping center,comparable to Costco.I thought it was better for several reasons,and still is I believe.one reason is the sale of diesel,one of the reasons I switched from Costco to Sam's club.The second reason would be the lines seem shorter,they also seem to have more tellers on hand.Location is convenient,just off the interstate,where as Costco you must navigate through town a ways.lines are so much longer at Costco and seems they have less tellers or don't schedule them at peak hours.sams club is right by Cabela's,so a guy can just got look at guns or camping/hiking things while wife's or significant others go shopping.The only thing I've noticed,and it has been quite some times;is they have quit boxing our food up.one the reasons us-the general public comes to big box warehouse centers like this is to have random employees of such establishments biz our food up.Now they have quit?Maybe time to switch back to Costco.hmm.... read more

So I have been to billing twice in my entire life as I live 4 hours away in Helena and never been to this sams club. However I was attempting to sell an item that sams club apparently sells for cheaper. (That's all good and fine.) however I got a message from an employee (someone named Chad H.) over Facebook making the claim that I stole it from this sams club in order to rip people off to purchase meth. I have never done drugs nor stolen anything from a store before. Very unprofessional to accuse someone of theft. Great staff. They bend over backwards to help make sure everything is perfect with my order and so I know what to expect from each prescription. Unlike other local pharmacies, these folks seem to actually LIKE their jobs, and it shows. Whether in person or on the phone, they have a willing smile and a helpful attitude. This place is not very good at all. We went to go inside & there were no carts, we had to go back to the parking lot to get our own cart. Why do we pay a fee to do things that employees should do. Busy day for Sam's Club but today they are stocking shelves during business hours with the fork lift. So four aisles have now been closed for the last twenty minutes. Today is Sunday October 7. Billings has many activities going on this weekend. Stock shelves at night like normal stores. My membership is up in a month. Never have a problem like this at Costco. read more
