On June 05, 2015 I purchased an 18" Next Surge boy's bike for my very excited six year old son. With the bike purchase I'd also purchased the two year Walmart Service Plan. On June 06, 2015, with less than an hour of bike use, the tire had already gone flat. I returned the bike on June 07, 2015 to the Walmart in Layton, UT where I had purchased it from only two days prior. The man behind the customer service desk stated there were no bike builders working that day, but I should leave it with him and he would tell the bike builder that came in Monday morning that it needed to be repaired. Much to my son's disappointment, we left it with him to get fixed the next morning. I wrote on a paper my full name, phone number, and the date and time I needed the bike repaired by, which was Monday, June 08, 2015, by 11 AM. It was attached to the bike. On June 08, 2015 I returned to Walmart customer service at approximately 12:30 pm. I observed behind the customer service counter my son's bike, with my same note attached to the bike, and the flat tire, unfixed. The same man was working and he didn't say much besides that he didn't think a bike worker had shown up. He didn't bother giving me a courtesy call so that I could save myself the trip. I advised that I had an appointment I had to go to, but I'd return as soon as I was able. Due to a busy work schedule, I wasn't able to return until today, June 10, 2015, at approximately 2 pm. I inquired with the customer service representative about the bike. She stated she would go to the back and look for it, but when she returned, she informed me that she couldn't locate the bike and there were no bike builders working today. The woman said she would get her supervisor. The supervisor, a shorter female, with longer brown hair, identified herself as Tori. Tori stated that she also went and looked and there was no bike matching my description in the back area waiting to be repaired. Tori stated nobody had seen that bike back there and thought it was odd that I was looking for a bike that nobody had seen. I explained, once more, the timeline of occurrences regarding this incident. I had my receipt and service plan with me. Tori stated she had no way to prove I actually left the bike here, and before she could do anything, she had to look at all the surveillance footage from my entire incident to make sure I didn't take the bike and leave the store on my last visit and now I'm just attempting to get a new bike or money back. Yep, those were her words. . I am absolutely aware how absolutely inappropriate it is to accuse somebody of a crime with no reasonable suspicion that a crime has actually been committed. I had given her no reasonable suspicion or probable cause to accuse me of taking my bike and returning days later in an attempt to scam Walmart. I am shocked that you would have an employee of your company be so blatantly rude and inappropriate. Escalating a situation to the point of accusing me of a felony without any proof? I'm standing in front of you with a receipt, service plan, description of bike, and exact dates and times I was here! You could have EASILY looked at surveillance quickly BEFORE accusing me of frauding your store. I instructed Tori to get her manager. I spoke with John, the assistant manager. I informed John what Tori had accused me of. John said Tori told him she hadn't said that. So now, not only was your alleged supervisor accusing hard working single mothers of scamming a store, she was now accusing me of lying. John looked at my receipt and went to the back area. My bike had been fixed and instead of returned to me, it was placed back on the store floor to be RE-SOLD! Your store had taken my merchandise I HAD PAID FOR and were trying to resell it to make a double profit! Now, for two days, other children had been riding my son's bike, testing it to see if they'd like to buy it. I am not sure why your employee assumed this was not somebody's bike, since I'd installed an after-market kickstand on the bike, and there was a note which i observed be placed onto the bike with my information. The assistant manager gave me a forced apology and left it at that. Even though it was extremely obvious that the bike on the store floor was the one I'd purchased only days prior. On top of that, the bike had clearly been used and your store was ok selling used merchandise at full price? Dishonest much? I was accused of scamming and then had your store try and scam me! Tori, your all star supervisor only apologized for the "misunderstanding". She was rude, belittling, and condescending. I don't know what kind of store you are managing, maybe you don't care. But I work extremely long hours to be able to provide for my son. To buy a bike and a warranty, have that bike break, expect the bike to be fixed, then be accused of dishonesty and CRIMINAL ACTIVITY after YOUR employee told me to leave it there !? Todays Rant. I urge others to complain to Walmart Corporate at 800 Walmart. Today I stopped off at the Centerville Utah Walmart. They were selling a printer for 19.00 but were out of them. I called the Layton Utah Walmart and asked if they had the same printer. They did and I told them I would be coming to get it. Never in a million years would I have imagined that there would be a price difference. Layton Utah Walmart wanted 34.99 for the same item. I asked for a manger and the woman, using this term loosely, informed me that Walmart doesn't price match. I told her its a fucking Walmart. She said they dont price match. Well I promptly left all the shit I had piled up in the self checkout and walked out. So I just spoke to a man from the customer service department at 800 Walmart. He stated to me that price differences are at the discretion of the management. WOW FUCKING WOW. #fuckwalmart. #walmartsucks. #walmartdiscriminates. #walmartiscrooked. So I informed the man on the phone that I thought it was bullshit. Centerville Utah is a nicer area with wealthier individuals. Layton Utah not so much. It has a huge diverse ethnic population and most people are poor or struggling. So why is it that the nicer areas get better prices and the poor areas are raped for GOD knows what kind of prices. Also this Walmart is in proximity to Hill Air Force Base. So one can only assume WALMART IS RAKING IN THE DOLLARS FROM OUR HARD EARNED MILITARY PERSONNEL THAT STRUGLE IN SO MANY WAYS. #WALMARTRIPPINGOFF MILITARYFAMILIES. I am ranting about this in hopes this post is shared. I am for the record completely done with Walmart. I will never set foot in a Walmart ever again. I will continue to shop at amazon. #putwalmartoutofbusiness. Before today I had no idea this was a thing. My brother bought over the counter medicine last week at the Centerville Utah Walmart and istwas $10 cheaper than Walmart in Layton Utah. Walmart is a corporation not a franchise. This Walmart has to much drama and not enough work ethic. Their management team likes covering their asses and protecting themselves. Their customer service sucks tremendously. If you want to report anything don't report it to the store because they won't do anything about it because they protect each other because they are all friends. Report it to Walmart ethics.com. And avoid Andrea, part of their management team, this person is completely fucking stupid and has no shame. First time you'll talk to her she'll harass you for the rest of your life.
