The Ledgewood Walmart has become completely unreliable. I recently ordered a piece of furniture that never arrived. The delivery date passed, the status changed to "delayed," and then there were no updates at all. Customer service couldn't even tell me where the order was, and I ultimately had to cancel it. I figured it was just a one-off issue. Then I placed a grocery delivery order and it was just as bad. Nine items were unavailable, including basic essentials needed to make dinner, and there were almost no usable substitutions. The entire point of ordering was defeated and we still had to make a separate trip to Acme just to finish shopping. To make matters worse, the eggs arrived broken. When I reported it, I was told I would need to return them in person, which is completely unreasonable for a perishable item that was already damaged and had to be thrown away. At this point, it feels like every order comes with a problem, and the service is more frustrating than convenient. They gave me a $10 credit but it really doesn't make up for the aggravation. Very disappointing experience. I've been a Walmart shopper for a decade and really haven't had this many problems before but it keeps happening lately. read more

Open the registers and actually make sure they work!!! Two physical registers with attends are open and one third of the self check out sections are open. Yet, the self check out machines that are open are malfunctioning (won't swipe cards or scan). Something needs to get better!! read more

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered with Walmart. During a same-day delivery, the driver drove onto my lawn while backing out of my driveway, damaging several of my solar lights and leaving broken glass and debris behind without saying a word. One of the fertilizer bags was also torn, causing the contents to spill. What should have been a simple issue to resolve turned into weeks of frustration. A Walmart representative initially promised me a full refund for my purchase, but it was never processed. I was repeatedly transferred between Customer Service, the Payments Department, the local store, Corporate, and the Claims Department. Every department gave me different information, and no one took ownership of resolving the problem. Eventually, Walmart told me to contact the driver's insurance company. When I did, the insurance company advised that Walmart should file the claim because Walmart has the necessary information that I do not. I informed Walmart of this, and I am still waiting for a response. The most disappointing part wasn't the damage itself--it was the lack of accountability. I spent hours on phone calls, had to repeat my story to multiple representatives, and was continually sent from one department to another without any resolution. I expected much better from a company of Walmart's size. Customers shouldn't have to fight this hard to have a straightforward issue handled fairly. read more

LEDGEWOOD only delivers on the Walmart in home delivery when they feel like it. Forget about Saturday's and Sunday's. I am paying a yearly service fee for a service I can't use. Should be a zero rating. read more

Came in to shop on a Sunday. All self checkout was closed. Got on a regular line and the employee was scanning barcodes, yawning away... clearly zero interest in moving things along and bored to death. I like this better than other ones in the area, since it's stocked much more frequently. The annoying part is that employees block aisles while restocking so it makes navigating the store a lot harder. There's typically a huge line in aisles due to this. If they could restock in less busy times or spend less time doing it, that would be better. Other than that it's a pretty standard Walmart. read more

As far as Walmarts go this one's pretty good plus it's one of those Supercenter deals so you know they got a ton of Food and other pantry related merchandise up in here. Cleaning Supplies, Paper Products, Laundry Detergents, Oatmeals, Cereals, Waters, Soups, Sauces, and Spices, this place always has it all in stock and at decent prices.     Most of the time you can find me hanging out somewhere between the Sporting Goods and Automotive Departments which are both coincidentally very well stocked here too.     Just a friendly heads up: you'll find that the Self Checkout is usually gonna be the best bet for trying to hit that EXIT door within some kinda timely manner. Worst store ever! Now they not only have hardly any ppl to check you out but they took away the big check out sections, so if you have a large order it is not accommodating at all! The ppl who work in the online delivery are rude when I went to tell them about 18 of my items were not in my delivery the response was well that is to be expected this time of year! I come to this Walmart quite often and seriously considering shopping elsewhere after today's greeter decided I must look like some type of scum. Gerri the greeter decided to literally go through my one and only bag filled with merchandise to make sure every tag matched my receipt twice over holding up the line and enough to upset the man behind me making comments asking if I look like a thief in my defense, then directing his attention to me stating I need to speak up for myself when I was just standing in complete awe and embarrassment. it was completely humiliating. read more

This place is a JOKE. Had a problem with my electronic Walmart card but didn't realize until AFTER my gift card balance was deducted. Spent 20 minutes or so trying to figure it out at the customer service counter- couldn't. Cashier put the 11.20 back on my card. Tried to use my 11.20 gift card today.... Did not work. Customer service line is a mile long.... Tried to explain it to the self checkout girl who stared at me blankly because she doesn't understand English. Do better Walmart! Figure your shit out. So far so good ! Not a lover of self check out but you don't have a choice anymore. The store is brand new so it's clean. Most of the shelves are full. I like that they have separate entrances for food and one home and pharmacy. Haven't seen any of the strange Walmart sites you normally see there but I'm sure I will eventually. read more

This Walmart is clean, the staff is friendly, and as often as I come in I never had a problem finding anything in stock. They always have a good selection of everything. I often come to get my pictures printed and the staff is helpful and the pictures come out beautifully all the time. While I live closer to another Walmart, I prefer to drive further to this one as it's superior in every way. read more

Today is Thursday, April 28, 2022. The plastic bag ban does not start until May 4, 2022. This morning I bought groceries at the Ledgewood Walmart and was given a receipt, but no bag of any kind; no plastic, no paper, none. I asked for a bag, but the clerk said that all the bags were already taken away. I said "its not May 4th." I had to walk out with everything loose in the cart. Since this store was remodeled and enlarged, the treatment of customers has deteriorated, their garden section has less and less of anything you might need compared to Rockaway Walmart and other Walmarts even though the square footage has increased substantially. Also the prescription drug section can rarely give a three-month supply. I cannot imagine why they seem to think it's a "Super Walmart." It's poor. I really miss the old store. This new store has more space with less in it. read more

The store is great (especially the pharmacy dept) and the people are helpful, friendly and available. I have two suggestions for making it even better. First, locate price check scanners where they are easy to find. There used to be scanners with yellow signs that stood out from all the blue signs. Now I'm not sure they even exist, but the need for them certainly does. Many things get moved around and it is hard to know what the price is on many items. Second, put bicycle racks out front. There's plenty of space. I often have to go to other stores simply because there isn't a place to lock my bike. (I know I'm not the only one.) read more

While this Walmart is large and has a variety of items, the employees are perhaps the most unhelpful that I've ever come across -- anywhere. The "customer service" representative couldn't be bothered to help us. She was much too busy, flirting with the three young male employees that were clustered around the front of her desk. We asked an employee in the aisle for help finding an item and his response was "I don't work here I'm just putting away returns." Many items were out of stock, even though the website said that they were in stock at this store, so clearly no one is following the actual inventory in this store. This isn't the first time any of this has happened at this store -- it's pretty much par for the course. This will be our last trip to this Walmart. We've been ignored and not found items they supposedly have in stock one too many times! read more

My husband went to pick up money sent from his sister. They told him it was not in the system. He had the money reference number, and his license, etc. When we went together to another Walmart in Rockaway the people were friendly and we received the money. My husband believes that he was discriminated against, because he is a black man. How was he able to pick up his money when he went to the same company in another town? FOOD , do NOT buy from here unless you could care less about your health. They don't check Best By dates and that's a fact I dare them say they do, without fail I have gone into this store and picked up an expired item each time (yeah I've actually given it the benefit of the doubt and figured I picked a bad day or two but nope) there's no excuses when every other grocery store has a standard of not selling products that could potentially make customers sick. Not even mentioning the fact you could tell every box is thrown at some point before it gets on the shelf they legit could not show you any more that they do not care about what they sell it's all about stocking those shelves ! I'm from around the area and have been in walmart a few times and the only person who crossed my understanding of an employee with integrity was Ally! not only did she show up with a smile and greeted me with open arms she was so quickly to help me until my needs were met. every staff I've asked for helped the excuse is "I don't speak English." hablo español pero hablo inglés cuando saludo porque es mi primer idioma. Her vibrant energy is who we need more of in the world and staffing in any business. She is a big part of helping the customers find their needs and being able to feel satisfied. She goes beyond her job description and if you don't give a raise and see her efforts, shame on you because you're blessed to have a woman like her in your corner of business. Not a very good Walmart not up to date with stocking. Customer service is ridiculous and incompetent. Was that self check out and asked the lady to delete some thing and she deleted a coupon instead that I had already put inside the machine and she kind of said you're out of luck.
