I've never been inside of this Walmart, but we shop here once or twice a month using their wonderful app and pick up or delivery. We usually pick up, because paying delivery and tip eats up some of the savings, but if we're super busy, it is convenient. I don't mind driving over here to get what we need. At Walmart does have the best prices, usually. Aldi can be lower on produce. My wife and I both love the service here. Their staff always great. read more

I called 3 different departments hoping to get someone, ANYone to help answer my inquiry regarding the recall of Great Value cottage cheese. If I go there to return it, but am told it's not the 4% smallcurd, I'll ruin the entire large carton as I can't go directly back home with it. Every dept rang 3+ minutes then hung up. My deepest gratitude to the customer service staff who were working 7/25/25 around 12:30-1:00 pm. I lost my phone. They reviewed security footage and saw that my phone had fallen to the bottom of the cart, unnoticed at checkout. I left the cart at the inside area of the exit with the other carts. A vendor happened to grab my cart and took it to the back of the store. Store personnel were able to retrieve my phone. Kudos to all staff involved. I'll be forever grateful! read more

I waited about half an hour to buy some motor oil and at the end I end up not buying oil. I was so pissed off I would rather drive to another store to buy the oil. I felt like I was being ignored when clearly they see me standing there holding a 5 qt oil jug ready to check out. Never going there again! read more

The People of Walmart are alive and kicking! They were out today....but I digress.....I'm usually not a Walmart shopper (on the regular). Store was actually neat without messes and crap in aisles. Gave three stars 'cuz it took me a hood 10 minutes to find the particular item I came for (folic acid). I literally pulled up the app to even see if they sold it. And there was no one around to ask. Otherwise, would have given the store four stars. Entered and exited the store and the greeter welcomed me upon entry and told me to have a great day when I left. read more

It's a Supercenter, meaning more space, more merchandise, more services. It's also off an interstate, making the auto center convenient for those sudden and pesky auto needs--like flat tire repair. The auto center was quick, patching a tire and getting us back on the road in about an hour on a very busy Saturday afternoon. However, it earned demerits for not having a comfortable waiting area. In front of the store we did find refuge in a not so busy Subway shop for the price of a drink. That mostly got us out of Walmart's noise and traffic. read more

I do NOT recommend this Walmart location!! The store does NOT properly sign products in action alley or accept responsibility for their blatant misleading advertising. The sign showed 97 cents but scanned at $1.97 Walked back & showed Walmart Check-Out Supervisor... who just said it was an error. Really! The products scanning $1.97 were on both sides of the display showing 97 cents. Even more outrageous... she walked away & did NOT fix the sign or move $1.97 products from 97 cent side of the display. Extremely POOR Customer Service!!! Walmart's Corporate Office should require retraining of Lees Summit Walton Lane store associates. Specifically, the folk with direct contact with customers. I have had so many problems with the delivery from the Walmart on Sam Walton Lane in Lees Summit. I went on next-door neighbor to ask if the one on market Street is better. I found out that I'm not the only person that has had huge problems with their deliveries, including one order that was stolen; nobody really seems to care at that Walmart. I've shopped at this walmart many times, they always have most of the things I need and am even surprised at times when I doubt they'll have something and they do. the place looks pretty run down although spacious is not in the best shape. the bathrooms are almost always messed up and the cashier registers are always crowded. i'm glad they implemented self check-out tho that was a real time saver. overall will continue to shop here at times. read more

Every time I go into Wal-Mart a little part of my soul and will to live dies. But I dared to go in there to shop for some paint and craft supplies for a project I was starting. For better or worse, they stock their crafts department much better than their competitor with the red and white circle logo. And they are much cheaper than the hobby type stores. I found all the paints and brushes and more that I wanted in no time. However, I could not find any paint palettes. I walk up and down each row of the crafts department looking as carefully as I can and...nothing. I walk a row or two over and I asked an employee in sewing for help. I think I would have been better off asking a racoon digging in a dumpster for assistance. "Do you have paint palettes?" "They should be over in the crafts section." No ****. "My bag is full of stuff I just got from there and I couldn't find them. I think I am overlooking them, can you please help me find them or call somebody who can?" So she walks me down the aisle and just lifts up her arms in a broad motion, "They should be in here somewhere." OH REALLY HELPFUL! I knew they should be in there "somewhere," thus the reason I walked up and down the aisles several times before killing off my brain cells by talking to this moron. "I know they should be in here somewhere, but I can't find them. I am asking you because you work here. You're supposed to be the expert. If you don't know where they are, can you please contact somebody who can help me?" She makes zero effort to call anybody else, let alone anybody like a manager. "Maybe you can check hardware." "So arts and crafts supplies are in hardware now?" No response. I tell her, "I am not looking for house paint." "Oh, you're looking for house paint?" "NO! Can you get somebody over here who can actually help?" I am getting agitated but trying hard to not go off on this imbecile. She continued to babble on absolutely nothing helpful and I muttered, "I have to walk away before I say something that gets me kicked out." I went over to electronics to see if they could call somebody over to help and they referred me back to that dumb***. I refused to talk to that fool anymore. I walked up and down each aisle in crafts several times more and not a single paint palette to be found. Then I found some empty hooks where they would go. And that's all I needed help with...for an employee who works there to just actually show me where they go. I told her I think I was overlooking them...and I was because the hooks were empty. If all an employee can do is lift up their arms and say, "It's in here somewhere," then I welcome the robot overlords who will someday take over their jobs. They may whine about how low they are paid, but I think they are paid exactly what they are worth...next to nothing. I swear Wal-Mart drains my will to live on this planet anymore. If the rapture happened the moment I left the store, I would be like, "Lord Jesus, take me away from here. I am ready." Every time I walk in there it siphons a bit of my soul away. Don't go to get a COVID shot on a Saturday after you've called to confirm the time frame the will make up a reason they cant give one even though you were told shots were until 7p. While a Middle aged fsle Pharmacy worker gets ugly about having people need scripts filled and speaks loud enough for customers to hear you close at 7 and even though it's not she cant be bothered. A third of Missouri is not Vaccinated and now this is a oeice of the problem. I was just trying to get my daughter vaccinated but Walmart in Lee's Summit has too many excuses why she can't. Yelp doesn't allow 1/2 star reviews so I'm forced to give this store 1 star. I so detest this store I rarely visit. It's dirty, disorganized and the employees seem beat down and border on surly. Today, I found myself in the area and looking for one specific seasoning product. I know that this store features a good-size selection of Hispanic food products, so I decided to brave entry. Nope! Didn't have what I went in for and once again, I was reminded of how bad Wal-Mart truly is. This location being one of the worst examples anywhere. As I was leaving I noticed filthy, stained floors in the check out area and snapped pictures to add to this review. Take my advice. Drive a little further and hit Target. Wally World is what it is....Wally World. I'm not a huge fan of Walmart. I went to Wally World since I needed to get some items fast and didn't want to drive to Target. This store is laid out poorly. I had to go through the whole store to find the items I was looking for and then they didn't have have everything I was looking for so ended up going to CVS to get the rest of the items I needed. Wally World is good for people watching. read more

Though you cannot expect much from a grocery store other then finding your items and that's all, this store is actually really good, at least for my convenience, most if not all things are all in stock for what I need, prices are very affordable and especially matters a lot for recent times, the store seems mostly clean. It's also being redone as of the time I'm writing this and it looks a lot better then it used to, and many of the employees there are nice, some may have exceptions but for who I've run into or needed help from, they've been very helpful and friendly. Only reason they don't get the full 5 is slow af checkout lines, even self checkout is sometimes slow unless the you go in before 10 or 11 AM, even the afternoon or past 9 pm can still be slow because they close most of the self checkout lines and it piles up a line of people waiting, had to wait like 5 mins to get to a checkout register at 10:20 pm one night in self checkout. read more

Shocks of all shocks! Matt doesn't like a Walmart. For serious, while I'll never be a "fan" of Walmart, I was in need of some very "Wal Mart" type merch and was in the hood, so I stopped in with good faith. While a couple of the things I needed were immediately available, it was like looking for the Lost City of El Dorado finding a few of the others, and the staff were the least helpful of natives I could have run across on my journey. I was there too early in the day for any "People of Wal Mart" experiences, which for me was both happy and sad. Honestly, it comes down to this: I couldn't find what I was looking for, and because the store is so poorly organized I don't know if that's because they didn't have it, or if I simply couldn't find it. I have lived right down the street from this WM location for a dozen years. Consistently, the service here is inferior to the Walmart in Independence and the one in Raytown (the two closest alternate locations). The only reason I continue to shop here is the proximity to my house. I went in the other day to get a cell phone, and as usual, I could not get any assistance. 3 or 4 employees passed me, they all said they could not help me, wrong department. Apparently nobody works in electronics, or cares. I saw two other customers leave in frustration at also not being able to get assistance while I waited. They were both incredulous, and frustrated. Typical of this store. I finally got tired of it and drove the whole way over to the Raytown location. As usual, the experience there was far better. I got what I needed, in and out. They need to switch the manager of the Raytown store over to LS to get that place up to speed. read more

Do not order via .com. Your items get cancelled and you'll never see a refund. Most employees are horrible and need customer service training!!!!! Today, I went in to the store to resolve a .com order and to my surprise Christopher (assistant manager) quickly worked to resolve the issues with my order. Christopher was polite and professional I felt he understood my frustration. He apologized repeatedly and stood with me until everything was resolved... Ah, Walmart. The thing I love about Walmart is that you could be in Beverly Hills and Walmart would still attract lots of Whiskey Tango clientele. Anyways, this place is always packed, like most Walmarts. I would normally avoid the place like the plague, but sadly it's the closest place to my girlfriend's apartment to buy 'cohol. And living in Kansas, I am always in awe of being able to buy alcohol at Walmart. That alone makes this place worth visiting to me. You do NOT have a FIFTEEN minute conversation about how you too do not understand calling cards. This Walmart is a three day store. What that means it is only good to shop there three days a week. This store gets hit starting on Friday and does not recover until Tuesday. Inventory control is poor, entire sections can have empty shelves. The garden center has been converted to storage area with limited access. The store has been added on twice and now includes a grocery section. Currently this Walmart is now in the faze of placing bins in the aisles which make navigation with your cart difficult. There are better Walmarts in the KC metro area. read more

I can't imagine why this particular Wal-Mart would receive such horrible reviews. Although it's difficult to say you love a Wal-Mart, this one is awesome...for a Wal-Mart. I've found the employees helpful AND cordial. There is an older gentleman greeter who is a pleasure. He's so sweet and always willing to share a great story. The checkout lines almost always move smoothly and when they don't, it's typically not the employee's fault. They are starting to stock more organic and gluten-free choices, which is a great bonus. I'd like to see a lot more, though. The clerks are friendly and quick, on the most part. I've only had a couple experiences with older, grumpy checkout women. But generally speaking, I've got no complaints about the clerks. I've never noticed a funky smell in the store and I've got an overactive olfactory system. I know when something smells. This store doesn't. All in all, it's a great Wal-Mart. Nothing negative to report. :) read more

I ordered a ship to store item and after three trips to try and pickup the item, we finally gave up. It was a Christmas present for our son. A younger employee tried hard to find the item since it said it was ready for pickup. She said this is common because many of the ship to store items are miss placed or put on on the sales floor by mistake. I can believe it looking at the huge, unorganized mess in the pickup area. We then had to wait a full 30 minutes for a CSM to refund our money (which actually takes another 5-7 days) because all the CSMs were in a managers meeting (wow...great customer service). She called a CSM manager named Janet 3 times and when she finally arrive, she wouldn't even listen to the younger employee try to explain our problem and she acted totally put out. She was very rude and wouldn't even acknowledge that we were standing there (an apology would have been nice since we made three trips). We are really laid back people and never complain but we have experienced so many rude employees at this Walmart......we are done with this store. We have never had these problems at Target. read more

Am I suppose to have lower expectations because it's a Walmart? If it was possible I would give them a ZERO. They had advertised the best price for the phone I wanted so I'll go there, right.... I walked into this store to look at replacing my cell phone, after being ignored by no less than 5 Walmart employees I decided to go look for someone. The young guy putting movies up in the electronic's department explain that he does work in the electronics area but not phones and that he would call for someone. So far I've invested 10 minutes and figured the next guy would be able to get me taken care of. About 5 minutes later a young man walks up to me wearing a bright yellow vest, he has his Walmart badge on and said he could sell me a phone. The employee I am now dealing with looked as though he hadn't taken a shower for at least a week, and the odor was overwhelming. He had no idea how to transfer any information from my phone. He basically showed up to grab the scanner and ring up the phone. He could have cared less. What a joke! I walked out of the store without a new phone but with the resolve to never ever walk into another Walmart ever again. Sam Walton would be ashamed! read more

This Walmart used to be horrible I dreaded coming in here. However since Ray Scott has taken over as store manager things have improved. I've even had 2 separate occasions to speak with him about things I noticed in the store. He was very professional and polite on every occasion. He really listens and genuinely cares.
