The only thing bad I can say about this Tropical Smoothie Cafe is that it was a bit of a challenge to find this place since it was kind of hidden. Overall, my visit here was actually pretty well. I just ordered one of their breakfast items as well as their detox smoothie that I'm a big fan of. Staff here was very friendly and social and there weren't many people here too so my service here was pretty quick. Store is very clean and the wait times aren't too bad at all. This used to be one of my favorite places, but the quality has gone down and it's really disappointing. To start, they send drinks unsealed, which feels unsafe and unpleasant since anyone could open them and take a sip. Is it that hard to put them in a sealed paper bag with plastic, and close it with a staple or tape? The smoothie is still tasty, but it's hard not to think about the fact that whoever delivers it could open it. On the other hand, the chicken pesto flatbread used to be my top choice, but now no way. The bread was hard, almost stale, the pesto tasted a bit sour (not sure if it was even good), and the chicken? You had to go looking for it--they put less and less every time. I don't know if this was just a one-time slip or if that's how they're doing things now, but either way it's really bad--at least for delivery. read more

I stopped in for my first time to get a smoothie just to have some nutrients in my body, and I was very impressed with their menu. The service was quick and easy and the smoothie was very large. We ordered the Caribbean jerk chicken wrap and the chicken caprese sandwich. They both came with chipsfor adding $8.50. The caribbean jerk rap was full of flavors a little spicy but super good. The chicken caprice was just fine a little small for the price But it had a good flavor the chicken was season nicely. We also ordered smoothies. The green detox smoothie had too. Much ginger not enough sweetness to balance it out. When we asked to add more juice they added straight sugar. It was better but still not very good. The paradise point smoothie was fine. Came for lunch on a Saturday. Perhaps because of the proximity to so much shopping and several fitness centers this place was busy! There's a long bar where customers can sit and a few small two seat tables, but the majority were doing pick up and takeout orders. In addition to sharing a Baja chicken wrap we each ordered our own smoothie: Sunrise sunset & kiwi quencher. The wrap was really good! So much flavor and some good spicy heat from the dressing. The outside of the wrap was toasted and it was soft and really stuffed with chicken rice black beans and veggies. Of the two smoothies we liked the kiwi one best (it had more sweetness). We consistently use their online ordering app and it is super easy to use, easy to order and it's very fast prep time for my orders. I'm a frequent flyer to this location as I love their smoothies and wraps. However, DO NOT ORDER delivery through them. I never received my order and DoorDash cancelled it and told me to talk to the store. The store refused to help in anyway. They said they would "look into it" and then hung up. We called back and they said we need to place a new order for them to re-make anything. This is super disappointing considering how often we visit, and when something goes wrong once they aren't willing to help make it right. $40 spent on an order I didn't receive and they won't remake it. I'm okay with these smoothies but I'm not sure how 100% they are. They are almost icee like but yet hit the spot. I had a blueberry smoothie which was delicious and great for the money. But still it seemed not natural. Not sure why. It just didn't have the normal consistency of a smoothie, like from Thrive or Tara. . For the money it's good. It's a large cup. But I swear it tasted more like a slurpy and the calorie count is whopping. But it is conveniently next to Orange Theory if you want to work off that smoothie. read more

I visit this location every few months for one particular smoothie. My only gripe is they are not particularly worried about cleanliness. Don't get me wrong, the store itself is always clean but watching the cashier deal with the register, people's money then just turn around and begin touching your food or preparing your smoothie without gloves or washing their hands....no thank you. Even when I mentioned that she jumped in to help without cleaning her hands, it was of no concern. The smoothie is good but that was a real turn off for me. I ended up buying one of their limited seasonal smoothies: Watermelon Mojito, and oh boy! I came again within a few days, just like people out there go to Starbucks. I didn't even know this place existed. I thought I'd surprise wife and daughter with lunch. I was at work and just opened up Door Dash. Texted my wife I was sending lunch. So convenient. Anyway....I ordered my wife the pesto chicken and my daughter a quesadilla. They loved both of them and said they'd eat them again anytime. Not sure if they don't get a lot of lunch orders on a weekday or what but the order was super fast and earlier than anticipated. Yes I did get each of them a smoothie too. The app is fabulous and let me tailor my wife's drink so she'd like it. She's not a smoothie fan but she really liked the one I ordered for her. She appreciated that I had configured it to have less calories. My daughter loves smoothies and all things mango so she was equally thrilled. Great drinks for a hot day. We decided to try this out for an afternoon snack, we couldn't of been happier. The place was clean and the service was friendly. I ordered the Thai chicken wrap, it was the best wrap I've had yet. It's cheaper to order a sandwich or wrap with a smoothie. Wraps and sandwiches come with your choice of chips, apple or banana. It's a weird mix of smoothies and sandwiches/wraps. I feel like the two do not belong in the same place together; however, they have combos that you can get both. I go here almost everyday after practice or anytime a nice, refreshing smoothie sounds good. I do wish this location had seating outside since there is not very much seating inside the restaurant, so be aware that if you decide to eat there, there's not many tables. What started out as a good, normal smoothie place has turned into a bunch of teeny-boppers in sweatpants who are rude and don't care about consistency of their product. One time you may have a perfect smoothie that you are euphoric about. Truth is, from these kids, it may take 4-5 tries for them to get it that way again. 1/5 is not good on the odds, so I don't believe I will be coming in anymore. That, and they've upped their prices, which however small of an increase it is, is annoying. I've came in with exact change where people know my order for the past year. Unfortunate. I ordered the chicken pesto flatbread and was highly disappointed when it only came with 2oz of chicken. It should have been called the pesto flatbread. When I asked for more chicken, the owner was quite put out and quick to tell me that flatbreads and sandwiches come with only 2oz of protein and the bowls come with 3oz. If you are looking to get your protein fill for lunch, you will be highly disappointed. The flatbread, bowl and a smoothie came out to $17.95. Next time I will stick to Panera. read more
