If possible I would give a 0 star. I ordered something that the website told me would be ready on a certain day and it's been almost a week and all I get on the website is 'delayed'. I went into the store to see if it's ready because it's been shipped and every person sent me to another station so they didn't have to deal with it. Only one person at customer service and all there was were dissatisfied customers. The customer service said to go to a kiosk and click help (once again no one knows what to do) and no one came for 10 minutes and I left. I have no idea if I'll ever get this order. read more

I've been a secret Walmart shopper for quite some time, and I'm about ready to come out. The deals can't be beat, and they make sure of that with their savings catcher app (and undermining the prices of their competitors but that's for a different conversation). They recently expanded their store and hours (now open 24 hrs). Their produce section includes organic items, and the rest of the food aisles have organic mixed in on the shelves. This store went through a serious rough period during their renovation, but the store is kept up pretty well. I really only shop at night there, since it's truly a different beast during the day and I have no patience. Walmart is the kind of store where you can't really expect too much customer service; although for every disengaged or standoffish sales associates, I've met some really nice ones. There are also several self-checkout computers. But let me repeat, when possible shop at night. It's a completely different experience. read more

Grossly understaffed - 3 cashiers open for well over 20-30 people trying to check out with FULL carts. Last night I waited over 30 minutes in line (10 minutes longer than it took me to do my shopping). I ended up ditching my cart and leaving. Never going back. read more

This is my "go to" store but it has been getting so bad in the mornings that I am considering switching to another local store for the following reasons: I shop between 7-730 am Mon to Fri and need to be in and out quickly. A) Many mornings the self-checkout area is closed - That's about 8 Registers offline. The only other option is to wait on the ONLY open manned Register along with up to 10 or more people. I had to abandon my shopping cart full of merchandise and walk out on 3 different occasions as recent as 9/10/2018. That's Business that Walmart lost! Why can't the self-checkout lines open every day? B) I arrived at the customer service desk at 7am on a couple of occasions and had to wait up to 15 Minutes for an associate to arrive to open. People who work here are not on time and management seems not to care because it happens often. Management needs to start addressing these problems or Walmart will LOSE MORE BUSINESS! read more

Two weeks ago I went to Wal-Mart with friends to buy electronic cables. At the self checkout kiosk, they elected to pay by cash. The change wouldn't eject and a manager had to be called. After 20 minutes they got their change and we left. Last night, I went in for a few items and also used the self checkout area. We were told if anyone wanted to pay by cash, they could move to the front of the very long line. Not thinking the kiosk would have an issue, I used the scanner and inserted my money. $5.00 of my $9.58 change ejected and I had to wait 10 minutes for a manager to bring the rest of my cash. One would think if a company as large as Wal-Mart had equipment problems, they would address it immediately. Worst case, they would have someone nearby with access to cash to assist stranded customers. I will never go back to this store and I highly recommend if you do, don't use cash. read more

Walmart has become huge and lot of variety. I wish they had tires service centre like one edison does. Lot of parking space. You can get veggies and fruits as well. Staffs were alright, not outstanding. If you need help with something, who you will need to hunt for staff. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My boyfriend went to Walmart in Manville NJ to buy my sister a house warming gift. He got her a dirt devil vacuum, went to self check out and PAID for the vacuum. He bought the extra warranty as well because it's a gift. He out the receipt into the box so he didn't lose it. As he was walking out, the employee running the self checkout counter who watched him purchase the vacuum told him he couldn't leave the store until he got the receipt out. Even though this employee watched him make his purchase. He accused my boyfriend of stealing "how do I know you're not stealing it?" Is literally what he said. I think it's disgusting that your employees watch a customer purchase an item and still have the audacity to accuse them of theft. That to me is unacceptable. Now my sister will have a ripped open gift for her new home. Thanks a lot Walmart. read more

Staff is rude! There are no prices on lots of items. Asked an employee at the electronics department register for a price check for something and they gave me a huge attitude and told me to go find a price checking machine instead. It's so annoying to have a cart wobble , get stuck at every turn , and be so loud - seriously ! And today, you put my stuff in the thinnest bags I've ever seen - once I put the bags into my trunk each one broke and my stuff fell all over the trunk. They need to open more check-out lanes. Self check-out is always the quickest, but it's not ideal when you have a $100 grocery order. They also need to have more control over their shopping carts in the parking lot. The paint on my car was scratched by one of their carts once and I still have to pay Hyundai $225 for the damage since it was a lease. read more

This Walmart is very disappointing. we tried buying chicken once, and was very bad upon opening the package, the smell was incredible. It had gone bad much sooner than the expiration date. Our other food we had purchased was similarly mediocre and disappointing. We decided to only use this Walmart for nine food purposes. I bought a toolbox, and got home only to find that the tools I need had been stolen from the toolbox already. of course Walmart took the toolbox back, and I ended up just wasting yet another hour of my time. Did buy a vacuum cleaner and a router here which held up for a year. The customer service at this particular Walmart is atrocious. read more

This is a review of the Subway within the Walmart store, as opposed to of the Walmart itself. The biggest problem with this Subway is that no one is ever manning the counter. Nine times out of ten that I walk by, there is no one there to take orders. The employees are busy hanging out in the back, and this is during all hours of the day. In order to get service, you need to stand around by the counter and wait or call for someone in the back. I find this unacceptable, and poor customer service. The food itself is fine (typical Subway), but this practice is losing this location business. read more

My father purchased two tablets from here as gifts for our cousins in another country. We are there on vacation and one turns on and logs in fine, the other...claims it's a stolen device..... Being that BOTH were paid for and now here we are in another country with only one working gift....and the other "stolen"...awkward. Thankfully a family member was back home and was able to find the receipt and call a manager to find out that who ever rang up the two tablets only registered one as "purchased" although were both paid for...all in all resolved our issue, but talk about uncomfortable trying to explain to your family your not a theif when a computer locks you out for possible fraud. -_- this Walmart used to be so much better when it wasn't a super Walmart. Eager to help, but with a lack of follow-through. I needed an item from a high shelf. It would appear that since the item was placed there, it would be just as easily retrievable. Not quite. Manager David was unsure of what to do. Said he would go look for a ladder. (This is after asking workers on the floor and getting nowhere). I wait about 15 minutes and start walking away only to find him pushing carts back to their designated area. I ask him about that ladder, and he says he's still looking for it. No, what he was actually doing was replacing carts. Without further incident and having gotten nowhere, I chose to leave. I'll try another Walmart as I do need that item. Good luck! read more

I would avoid this Walmart unless I have no other choice. Customer service desk is poorly manned and grossly inefficient. They'll complain and argue with customers, standing from a distance so that entire waiting line could hear the conversation. I got an item with wrong product inside. They refused to give me a refund because I had opened the box and "used" it (without taking out the content in tube I couldn't determine what it was and once out, I couldn't refill the tube). This should have NEVER become a Walmart Supercenter. The store cannot handle the amount of customers it has. There are NEVER enough registers open. They never answer the phone for customers calling in. You are put on hold and then the call goes in to limbo and then they hope you will just hang up. I understand its a busy store but if the phone is answered the call should be dealt with. The conveyor belts are dirty and I will not shop for food there. The shopping baskets and carts are dirty and most of the carts are broken and don't push well. This store has the potential to become a good Walmart but so far it rates only 1 star...and even that is too much. Its poorly manned at the registers and not enough customer service personnel. I find the cashier clerks are generally pleasant and doing the best they can under a very poorly run store. There needs to be separate register checkouts for food for safety measures and for checkout efficiency. read more

Ordered an item online, ship to store. After a month of not hearing about the item being in the store, and after calling multiple times asking if it was in and being redirected to "try again tomorrow", I drove to the store on my day off. Customer service was useless and told me that they couldn't help me and I would need to contact the distribution center. Why couldn't I have been given that information over the phone? Still awaiting the item, or a refund of my money. Hope you don't have any problems with your purchases because they can't help you here! read more

I visit family in Manville a few times a year and each time I visit we hit Walmart Supercenter. I love it. I shop better in NJ than I do in Long Island. Each time I visit the store gets better. Are we kidding? A timeline of events. 1) We place an order to have VHS converted to DVD, 1 copy. 8 minutes in length. "It should take 3-4 weeks," they say. They gave us no heads up that there would be a copyright issue and just let out order sit there until we discovered it on our own and filled out the corresponding paperwork. 2) We haven't been contacted for 4 weeks. We call, and apparently the order placer "was sick." We find it odd that only person can place orders. Must've been mono if they were out that long. 3) Assuming it'll take another 3-4 weeks, we let time pass. Another month passes. We call, get put on hold for 10 mins by the rudest human. I hang up to try and get to a store manager, they tell me one isn't in. Transfer me to the photo center again. 4) Photo center tells me the original VHS and a small package have been waiting there for a month. I tell them I'm frustrated with their gross incompetence and rudeness, and they tell me I can speak to a store manager. I guess the store manager is on duty after all. On my way to pick it up now. Not holding my breath that the package included is the DVD and not just an envelope with our copyright papers. SO if you want rude people who have no interest in helping you and are terrible at their job, be sure to stop by this group is incompetent jerks. read more

The worst experience I've ever had at a Walmart! It has upset me to the point that i will NEVER make another purchase from this Walmart again!! If i ever buy anything from a Walmart again, it will be on-line. That's a big IF, too. Christmas eve @ 7am I purchased a battery operated 4-wheeler for my 4 year old. The box had been taped shut, as if it had already been returned. So I asked a sales associate if they had another. He said that they did not have any more, & that I could not take the floor models due to the fact that they may be missing parts. So i asked him if he was sure that the box i was about to purchase had all of the parts inside. He assured me that it did. So, I bought the ATV. I brought it home and told my wife that i was going to put it together while my boy was taking his nap, so I wouldn't have to be up all night doing it. So I opened up the box, took out all of the contents, and went to the instructions. I couldn't complete the very first task, because there was a nut missing. I was a little upset, but figured that I could just buy it at Lowes. I went to the second task, & all of the bolts were missing! At this point i decided to go back to the Manville NJ Walmart where I purchased it. I stood in line at customer service, and waited to explain my situation to a representative. I told her what happened, & she understandably did not know how to resolve the situation. So she called Steven, the customer service manager. He decided to call the store manager, Jay, over. Steven and the first girl had been understanding and polite. Jay came over as if he had a problem with even being bothered by me and my situation. It was now after 4pm, & Jay told me, "We're open until 6pm today. Go home and get it, bring it back, & return it". I told him that it was so big that i had to take out my kids two car seats just to fit it in. Also, that my boy would be awake from his nap by the time i got home. I would have to try to go home, take out my car seats again, get the 4-wheeler into my car without my son seeing it, then leave my wife on Christmas eve with our two young children while i drove back to return the incomplete item they sold me. He responded with, "Well, that's all i can do for you". I explained to him that he was actually not "doing" anything for me. He then told me, "You do what you have to do. Have a nice day". And walked away! I am not a bully, but i wanted to take his puny arrogant old butt & shove him into the 4-wheeler box! As i said before, I will NEVER purchase another item from here again! I have had problems with items I've purchased from other Walmarts in the past, & have always left satisfied to the point that i was almost happy at how well they treated me when solving my problem. This Walmart obviously does not care, or they would not have an arrogant little old man running the show. STAY AWAY from this Walmart, & keep your sanity!!!! They are fine when there is no problem. But, the first time you have a problem you will see how poorly you are treated! read more

This by far is the absolute worst walmart I have ever had the displeasure of shopping at. Made mistake of going to self checkout. There were no shopping bags in 3 out 4 working checkouts. We had a problem with checkout. The gentleman Aaron took like 6 minutes before he came to reset it and walked away. Came back making a smart remark at us. I called to speak to management and was contionously put through to a line that nobody answered. 1 time they answers phone and I just sat there listening to 2 employees chatting away. Looks to me like most employees don't care not to mention two management at this establishment rest assured I will never come back to this Walmart again and do yourself a favor and don't bother shop in here as well. read more

I am actually surprised to see some of the negative reviews of this store. My wife & I shop here fairly regularly and I have always found store employees very courteous & helpful when I've interacted with them. There have been occasions when I could not immediately find someone in a particular department to assist, but when I have asked an employee elsewhere on the floor for help he/she went and found the correct person to assist me. The store is very clean, prices in general are very competitive, and the store shelves are kept orderly and well organized with plenty of variety in their inventory. Fairly good selection of men's & ladies clothes, but not too many half sizes in men's shoes. Some of the broken/mangled furnace filters on the shelf should be removed. Generally a nice store with polite & helpful employees that always seem to return my greeting & loads of parking. read more

I love Walmart they have great deals and I can find almost anything there, but they need better customer service. I went to the online order pick up center and waited at that desk for about 10-15 minutes while there were a bunch of employees who obviously saw me patiently waiting to be helped. None of the employees called for help or told anyone there's customers waiting here. A few employees even came behind the desk I was standing at to get some supplies and didn't even acknowledge I was there or asked if I was being helped. The Walmart vision center has great deals in Manville! John at the vision center is very accommodating, helpful and bends over backwards for his customers. The lady with blonde hair is the complete opposite, unhelpful and rude! Customer service really matters for glasses and it would be nice if the vision center could replace this unhelpful lady! read more

The store is wonderful problem is when its time to checkout!!!!!! You have all the registers but only 2 lanes opened! No matter what time of day or night, Sat, evening at 1030 pm I have to wait 10 mins or so to check out because there are no workers!!!! This is very annoying especially if I have a few items and others have a carriage full! Please fix this problem by having a lot more people working on cashiering HIRE MORE WORKERS!!!!! at all times have them on the register. Other wise we will go elsewhere. People are really fed up! The employees are either drudging along looking very depressed, or speeding by before I can ask questions. Things are often hard to find and in the wrong place. I went for several basic food items yesterday and it seemed like everything I picked up was expired!!! Yorgut went bad last week, hot dogs expired last month, quinoa bars expired 3 days ago etc. I know the expiration date has to be there and most things can be consumed past there date but you should not have to pay full price and should not be on the same shelf as the fresh food. Also went to get apples the big sign in front of produce said $.98 per lb which is a good deal however the register girl rung up $1.79 lb. Could not figure out what kind to ring up she asked the next register gal that proceeded to drop a few on the floor and then asked do I still want the ones that fell on the floor? Neither could figure out the pricing I told them there is a sign down the end that I can see from here and there were 3 managers standing right in front of the apples and said maybe you can ask one of them? The girl made no attempt to ask them instead asked another employee walking by that said she don't know I walked Down and showed her the sign. This has been over 10mins of my time about apples at one point I said to keep your apples. I heard a produce guy say I don't know why the system is not reading the code right? So I must not be the first problem customer. They did finally give them to me for $.98 but they need to fix there system and be a little more customer friendly. read more

My wife and I just spent over $250.00 on much needed pots and dishes. Upon unpacking them we had one bowl that was broken. Albeit disappointing, we were okay with it and decided to call the store to see if it was okay just to bring the bowl back. This is where I give the store the one star. My wife dialed and when the call was answered, she asked for the customer service counter. The woman asked her to hold.... well, my wife held, and held, and held. Then there was a busy signal. She redialed, the same woman answered, and my wife again asked for customer service. she waited, and waited, and waited...again, busy signal. Frustrated with this I decided that I would call. I hit the redial.....and it rang, and rang, and rang, and rang. I was almost willing to let it ring all night but decided to use my cell to call them. The woman answered on the second ring, I said that we have been trying to reach customer service, but she cut me off, and said really nasty, "oh, it's you, hold ON" and I held, and held, and held, and held! I will be returning my purchase to this store tomorrow morning and making my purchase with a store that values my business and hard earned money. read more
