The parking lot was crazy. I'm literally laying down in it rn while my bf is inside looking for cough syrup & cough drops. While the store is decent, I would recommend not going on weekends. I just wanted some cough drops & it's been over 45 minutes. Check prices. Whatever the item says it costs, double check it. Sometimes, (it happens at any business tbf), they mislabel the equate vitamins & clothing. If you know how to check yourself out, you'll save a considerable amount of time. Also, if you really are desperate for an employee's help, pick up the phone & start singing. An employee will come over & reprimand you, but at least you got their attention! I sang Britney Spears for all of Walmart last month & I carry a tune for my life haha. The employees just laughed at my pathetic attempt to sing & helped me out. The dude who checks the bags is super cool BTW. He always offers me free gum or offers to carry my items when they are pretty heavy. He didn't have to do that, but he did. I am so surprised at the poor reviews for this store. I have used them for home delivery for about a year and have been extremely satisfied. I tried a couple of the other supermarkets and found the Walmarts in Manville far surpassed the others both in on time deliveries and filling the orders as placed. When you combine that with lower prices I think it's the clear winner. Also they don't charge for delivery. It's a win win for me. read more

This Walmart is doing well in enforce. Covid protocol. Plus, they also have a separate pick up lane for drivers. Subway inside makes it even more convenient. The grocery section is fairly large and can really be super convenient if you are trying to minimize trips. On a downside, not too thrilled with the pharmacy hours as the hours are limited. Now a lot of aisles have items behind locked glass, and when you eventually find an employee that is willing to help, they don't know where the keys are. How are you suppose to buy what you came for ? But if somehow you do find anything to buy and go to self service you may be told, as I was, that I couldn't use it because I'm not a paid rewards customer, so I have to pay $98 a year to use your self service checkout for a couple of items ? So looking at the 2 open cashier lanes, yes only 2, with deep lines I just gave up and left. The incompetence and vibe that this place now gives off is stunning. If you have a theft problem hire more security vs treating all customers like they are criminals. So done with them, not like there aren't other places to buy the same exact stuff. read more

This morning we came in about 9:30 on a Monday morning, this is one of the best Walmarts to shop at from "Central NJ" layout to friendliness to cleanliness! I liked the brightness and order of the merchandise and shelves to be neat and well stocked. Even the employees here were caught saying hello to various customers on a first name basis and were helpful to me in finding certain item. The produce dept is also visually appealing when you first enter along with the grocery department directly behind. Other stores seem to have grocery and cooler cases spread throughout the middle of the stores. I think during my trips I will need to make the drive to this store. When I asked how long this store has been open I was told 18 years! Hopefully the 1st store I shopped in Woodbridge, NJ will follow this stores' example. read more

I think this Walmart Supercenter In Manville is better then most Walmart stores within 20 miles, especially the Watchung Walmart. They have a nice selection of food, and specialty items at discounted prices. I tend to find things here I don't find in other stores. This Manville Walmart is open 24/7 which makes it convenient for anyone to shop.. The downside is there is never enough aisles open for checkout. In the month of January there are great buys on electronics. Every week they have markdowns on home goods such as toaster ovens, air fryers, vacuums, bath and kitchen gadgets. I found name brand lotions, shampoos , and toiletries to be price very well, along with their own brand of medicines called equate. There is a photo center, a pharmacy, a vision center, and a pick up area. They have a free same-day grocery pickup too. This Super Walmart has an app for your mobile phone that you can set to your store preference, and then you can load digital coupons for extra savings. There is also a weekly flyer online that shows all the different sales. This store was very clean and organized. I would loved to have given them 4 or 5 stars but the lack of diligent workers along with too few checkout lines kept my rating lower. The management really needs to address this one area. If they hired more people it would make this store so much better. read more

This Walmart location seems to be on the smaller side of the supercenter stores. Visited on a Saturday evening around 7p and the place was packed. Most Walmarts have self-checkouts at both the Grocery and Home exit sides of the store. Not this location, they only have self-checkouts at the Grocery side of the store. There were only two registers open with employees with long lines and the self-checkout line which was about a 15-minute wait. The product I was looking for said it was in stock on the Walmart app but was nowhere to be found in the store. This location could use some help. This location is far from one of Walmarts best stores. read more

The Walmart Superstore in Manville is my Heroin. I get all excited to go there and save money but by the time I get through the checkout line I just want to die. The self checkout line is always the longest because returning customers know it will be faster than waiting for the dysfunctional cashiers to scan, bag the items and collect money. This can take hours. If you have to deal with the department help, well just don't. They are difficult to find and when you ask a question, they stare at you like you said something in a foreign language. The deli is especially entertaining. This is where they put very old employees who can't remember how much you asked for, by the time they take the bologna from the case to the slicer. I can't look when they start working close to a spinning blade. The security force that watches the door views my receipt after I buy 50 different grocery items which are packed out of their view, in plastic bags but has yet to ever look inside one before approving me to leave the store. Hmmm. On the positive side, The Walmart Manville store is a great place for people watching. Some colorful characters shop here. The savings on name brand and store brand items are very good. So if you can shop during the daytime slow hours, get what you need without help, and self checkout without the scanner making you find a human to reset the machine you have a chance at a decent experience. Other options are the Walmart in Whitehouse NJ where they seem to hire more capable workers or pay more at non discount stores. read more

10:40pm July 11, 2019 I entered Walmart Manville to purchase a TV that was In their electronic section. After about 10 minutes I asked if I could have some assistance in purchasing the TV .. considering no one was stopping to help me.. after another 5 minutes I get told that their "manager" at that time said they had an incident EARLIER in the day that made them have to say they can NOT sell anything in the electronic section. Keep in mind registers were still working and there was no sign saying that the section was closed. So after me standing their when no one assisted me and tried to tell me that this section was "closed" I drove 30 minutes to the 24/7 Walmart to be lied straight to my face because of pure laziness. 10:40pm on JULY 11, 2019 MANVILLE WALMART. We ordered 22 items online on Saturday for pickup on Sunday. 30 min before pickup we were told that 19 of our items were not available. We are not going to get 4 out of 22 products at the store. We canceled the order and will not be buying from Walmart again. read more

The shopping experience was going well until I noticed a man following me and my friends and he continued to follow us around the store until we payed for our stuff and went outside he confronted me and my friends outside and said he was a security guard and accused me of stealing and then he threatened to trespass us then we also noticed him sitting in his car and staring at us. I called this store only 10 minutes after I left and got home to see if I had left a bag at the self check out. The first person to answer the phone put me on hold to go check. I waited on hold about 10 minutes and another person picked up the line. I explained quickly to him that I may have left a bag. He told me he'd go and check. I kept my phone on speaker for 32 minutes listening to the hold music and no one ever came back to the line. I tried calling back and the phone just rings and rings. This store is horrible. The customer service is unacceptable. I will not be going back to this store And let me note that I would not have forgotten my bag if a customer hadn't rudely run into my cart with his and another lady couldn't get past my cart because self checkout is so tight on space. GROCERY DELIVERY - We have been doing grocery delivery since December 2019. During the first few months of the pandemic we had a few issues but this was understandable. Things are still often out if stock, also somewhat understandable. For the past 6 months or so our delivery orders have been late or don't come at all. Only recently do we even receive any notice the order is running late. If you call the store they don't answer. The only person who sometimes answers is the grocery pick up woman who was so sweet and helpful when it wasn't even her department. One time I did get through and they told me "we may or may not be able to eventually get your order to you". No apology. They don't even give you the option to come pick up the groceries yourself. With having two babies and busy schedules we rely on our groceries. We spoke with a manager a few times and one (I believe his name was Hasan) promised us a $50 gift card which never came. When I called to follow up Hasan said he would door dash one right away to us and that never came. The door dash people have called me sitting outside for up to an hour waiting for my order. This happened on several occasions. Twice the door Dasher went to get an order WalMart corporate cancelled for me. That is so unfair to the door dashers. I know the door dashers are there because they call or text. I know my order was shopped because I get notice of substitutions/unavailable items... So to me this seems to be an internal issue and to go on this long is unacceptable. WalMart corporate has been wonderful and helpful. They always try to call the store, but even they cannot get through. They offer promo codes and make store complaints, but nothing has changed. read more

Lines are long no matter what because even while there's countless employees wandering aimlessly, doing anything but what they're supposed to do, don't expect more than one or two registers AT MOST to be open. Take your business to Target. Higher standard for hiring there clearly and well worth the slight increase in prices for better service and FAR better employees. Friday 7/19/19 at 1:45pm: Confusing to find everything you need. 16 Lanes with only 5 open. Lines are 10-15 customers or more long. Each line is taking per customer 5 minutes or more. The express lane just closed and there were 10 customers waiting and not told the lane was closing. People in line started shouting but the cashier just looked at them like he was unfazed or just had given up for the day. All the cashiers are unhappy; no customer eye contact; no thank you for shopping at Walmart; no anything. This is what you get when companies are forced to pay a $15.00 Minimum Wage while trying to stay profitable and forced to keep prices stable and competitive. Less cashiers and lanes open to save profit margins due to the increase in wage costs; longer delays in checking out or feeling like you are valued as a customer; overworked employees handling the needs of the same amount of customers with less staff. The worst part: the employees get paid more and still give you mediocre customer service. Good job America!!! Keep increasing those wages and wanting companies to still keep prices the same. We all get what we pay for in terms of lost time and less help/customer service staff in the store. read more

And only open about 3-4. With all due respect all the cashiers are elderly with no help from anyone else. It's really frustrating. I'm only giving an extra star because the amount of variety of products here. Weirdly I find a lot of cool stuff here I don't find regularly at Target and other stores. Returns and check out are horrific. It's open 24 hours so I would recommend going at like 7 am or late at night. Tried their grocery delivery service again after one year. My experiences with them were so bad, I had to stop using them last year. I thought they may have improved so I gave it another shot. I ordered on Jan 3 and they cancelled my order on Jan 4 with no email and no explanation. Guess they havent changed. This is THE WORST customer service I have seen in 50 years. Would be 3.5 stars... I'll be driving past here whenever I go home. For once, I decided to stop here. This is the anchor of The Marketplace At Manville. Considering how big the parking lot was, finding a spot here wasn't an issue. I had to use the restroom first before looking around. To my surprise, the restrooms looked bright, spacious, and modern with numerous stalls. They were all clean too. It's a shame that the basic Walmart in my area wasn't like that. As with any basic Walmart, this store carried electronics, sporting goods, toys, stationary merchandise, shoes, and clothing. They also carried automotive accessories, merchandise for home improvement and personal hygiene, and over-the-counter medications with a pharmacy department. The difference between the basic Walmart and the Super one, was that this store included the supermarket section. Unlike the basic Walmart stores, this one had a poultry area, a place for seafood, a deli department, a bakery, and fresh produce. Of course they carried the usual amount of groceries that you may find at a basic Walmart. My area doesn't have a Super Walmart, so we came here just to look around and see if they carried anything that would stand out. We actually ended up buying some Cheeseburger and Bacon and Cheddar flavored Lay's Stax since those flavors weren't available up North. The price for that was actually lower here too, compared to the North. We utilized the self-check-out area, and because of that, we couldn't comment on the attitudes of customer service since we didn't interact with anyone. I take away one star for the disorganization of some parts of the store. While some parts were organized (including sections of the grocery area), others were quite the opposite (including the personal hygiene area). What I mean by that is that those shelves were messy, and some were even empty. But I guess this is normal with almost any Walmart? Well, at least it wasn't as disorganized as Kmart. To my big surprise, this store doesn't even carry after shave. It's interesting that the basic Walmart up North in my area carries that, but the Super location here doesn't. That's not very super. Another star gets thrown away for that. Overall, the store did look nice and clean (compared to the basic location in Union). The prices here are also competitive, but getting the lowest price depends on what you buy. The store serves it's purpose. Maybe I'll stop again, but I'll mostly likely drive past by. read more
